*Chapter 65: Two Separate Realities? *

December 31st, YOE 35

11:00 PM Free Counter Earth (Tauren, Lurie and Sorren's Home, Castle Wundagore)

“She's got your number! Hah! How does it feel? Hah! To know this lady is out to kill! Hah! She took you down! Hah! It happened fast! Hah! If only you could erase the past! Hah!" I sang to our opponents as Lurie flattened them.

“Euchre!!" The yote girl said laying down her cards for the bull and dragon to see.

“What?! How?" Sorren asked confused.

“Shall I sing it again?" I taunted the goofy dragon as we reshuffled the gaming cards underneath a single spotlight at the trio's high table in their kitchen.

(Talk about setting the mood.)

“I thought the mind control device prevented second class citizens from questioning First class citizens?" Tauren asked curiously.

“It did!" The red dragon and I laughed in unison.

“Sorren somehow found a way to counteract the device's effect on our little human here so that he can be his normal self." The she beast said looking at me and then her lovers.

“How did he do that?" The minotaur asked.

“Hey! A dragon's gotta have his secrets!" Sorren said bouncing his eyebrows.

“Screw you." The bull said rolling his eyes at his boyfriend.

“Not now, but soon love." The dragon shot back.

“I am going to miss this!" I replied as tears welled up in my eyes.

“What part Alex?" The minotaur asked me.

“All of this! I said gesturing to the beastials seated around the table with me. Our outings, adventures, the wackiness- all of the times we spent together over the years including tonight."

“Well the last year was kinda subdued because you were in lock up little buddy." The goofy dragon replied, crashing our moment.

“SORREN!!!" The bull and coyote shouted.

“World Two and World One aren't too far apart." Lurie said, trying to cheer me up.

“Besides we are just a call away." Tauren said smiling.

I could tell he was tearing up inside as well.

“Another hand?" Sorren asked as there was a chime at the door.

I immediately reverted back to my submissive menial stance as Tauren got up from the high table to see who it was.

We saw a sad lionesses behind the opening door.

“Do you have room for one more? I mean if it isn't too much of a problem." She asked.

(Lea!)

“This is the first New Years that Lian and I haven't spent together." She said wistfully.

“Of course dear, come on in." The bull said admiring the red shirt and white skirt she was wearing.

“Has there been any news?" The yote girl asked.

“He is among the twenty-nine that are still missing." She said, tearing up. “The KLIS probably grabbed him, Sir Ram and Mara when they fled the moon-base."

“With the empire in control of that outpost we now have a fighting chance against the KLIS incursion." I said to the sexy lioness. “So don't lose hope."

“Still I hope he is okay where-ever he is." Lea said joining the four of us around the high table.

_11:32 PM Creature Controlled Counter Earth (Triumvirate HQ, Volcanic Peak) _

“BAA?" The quadrupedal big horned sheep shouted in confusion. Where was he?

After being mortally wounded by the leader of the rebellion he and Mara had been abducted by the KLIS, taken to their moon-base and literally brought back to life. But now the aliens were gone and he found himself in a place he knew not where.

The KLIS had been replaced by these black puddles. Some standing about an inch while others were seven feet tall.

“MAA!!" His nanny goat shouted next to him. The beings had returned! Sir Ram and Mara watched as these six foot tall walking blobs opened up the door to where he and Mara had been detained- a gated holding pen.

*ACK*

*OOF*

The big horned sheep and nanny goat watched as the blob's prisoners, a cheetah and mule- two proud knights of Wundagore were unceremoniously deposited on the floor of the pen.

Mara did her best to examine Chemar while in her non-beastial form. He was alive but very weak.

Sir Ram made the same assessment with Coal.

What had these beings done to them?!

*grab*

*grab*

“Shift change!!" The taller of the two beings said as black tentacles encircled the big horned sheep and the nanny goat.

It seems they were about to find out.

Evil and Wicked were taken from their pen to a central chamber and placed in front of three beings- a dark black seven foot tall tanuki, a six foot tall reptilian, and a six foot tall feline.

To their right was a horrified bay cat.

“I don't understand?! What is going on?" Lian asked as three puddles of goo surrounded him.

“An arrangement was made." One off to his right remarked as it sprouted tentacles and started to remove his shirt.

“What sort of arrangement?" Lea's boyfriend asked as his bottom-wear was forcibly ripped from his body.

“Twenty-nine souls for the salvation of your civilization." Came the response.

Lian shared an uneasy glance with the big horned sheep and nanny goat who had joined him in front of the tall goo creatures.

“Come on handsome, you can do the math." The tar-like tanuki goaded him.

“We are the twenty-nine! We have been sacrificed to save the empire!" Lian concluded realizing that he was naked in front of the beings.

Applause erupted from the puddles at his foot paws that had removed his clothing.

“Very good." The feline goo creature before him complemented. “If it makes you feel any better the KLIS have been contained and your civilization will survive."

Sir Ram looked at Mara. Evil and Wicked had done much to restore the empire after the apocalypse running over every and anyone who got in their way. For the first time the two of them were on the receiving end of that equation and it did not feel good at all.

And now he, Mara and Lian were prisoners to the beings who had saved Counter Earth from the aliens.

“Alright, do you three pledge your allegiance to the triumvirate?" Maalo asked beginning what the three captives realized was some sort of ceremony.

The bay cat looked at the big horned sheep and nanny goat. Was this some type of loyalty test?!

“WE DO! HAIL MAALO! HAIL YOANA! HAIL IIACA!"

Yeah it was but not for him, Sir Ram and Mara. But the three goo puddles that had removed his clothing.

“Then acolytes claim your possessions!"The reptilian goo creature announced.

“What's your name?" A puddle standing off to the right of the bay cat asked.

“Lian." Lea's boyfriend replied trembling.

“Lian eh? Nice proportions, supple genitals, average intelligence with a small butt."

“Um… thank you? No, forget that, what is going on here?" The bay cat asked.

“Hee hee hee, do you really want to know?" The puddle asked.

Lian watched as the goo puddle placed his clothing on a rock nearby.

“You and I are going to explore alternate states of being; you are about to become something bigger than you could ever fathom, something more than yourself." The acolyte of Maalo, Yoanna and Iiaca announced.

“What is that?" Lian asked nervously.

“Why another part of me silly!" The puddle of goo said as it pounced on him.

*ACK*

Another puddle to his left did the same to Mara.

“MAA!!!" She screamed as she ran around the room while the blob enveloped her like a blanket covering a chair.

“No!! Please!! Stop!!" Lian shouted as he was imbibed.

“Relax, I will take good care of you- mostly." The goo creature said.

*POWER UP*

*POWER UP*

“Acolytes accept your new forms- gifts from your leadership." Yoana announced.

“Awesome!" A dark canid replied as it examined its new body.

“That's Riight!!!" A dark goat replied looking at its new form.

Watching the bay cat and his nanny goat's forced transformations was the last thing the big horned sheep saw as the third and final goo puddle that had removed Lian's bottom-wear pounced on his face.

Sir Ram saw glistening eternal darkness as he was similarly recycled becoming something new, something other than himself.

“I like it!" A newly formed goo creature said admiring his caprine form.

11:59 PM Free Counter Earth (Tauren, Lurie and Sorren's Home, Castle Wundagore)

“Three… Two… One… Happy New Year!!" My jovial companions cheered as the year of empire changed from 35 to 36.

I was lost in the moment watching Sorren kiss Lurie and Tauren. I hugged the dour lioness and then nuzzled her. She reciprocated.

“Hopefully this year will be better than the last." Lea sighed.

“It will be one of changes, however you look at it." Sorren replied, kissing me on my forehead.

I gave my big buddy the biggest hug.

“I just wish my mistress was here too." I sighed.

“Where is Commander Ursa?" Lurie asked.

“Probably saying her own good-byes and packing up her things." The grey minotaur replied as he brought the coyote into my group hug with Sorren.

January 1st, YOE 36

12:10 AM Free Counter Earth (Arthur's Bedroom, World One)

“Well, I wanted to be the first to say it friends- happy year of empire 36!" Arthur whisper- shouted into his cube.

“Yeah happy new year!" The Minka replied joining in. “Hopefully it will be better than YOE 35."

The Ghost Hunters looked at the glum faces of on their conference communication with the Time Hunters and Alien Hunters.

“The price we paid was awfully high to get to this point." Panda Lee said, sighing.

Milo agreed.

“Panda Lee, Milo I wanted to officially welcome you to our sub-group." Cody replied.

“What's it called?" The wolverine boy asked the adult cat.

“Those who sold their souls to save all that we hold dear." Primrose replied. "We meet on Tuesdays."

“Wow, this turned dark." The monkey girl replied.

“Primrose, Cody, Milo and Panda Lee. I want you to do me a favor." The leader of the Ghost Hunters asked while admiring the girls' nighties they were wearing but not so much the boys' boxers and briefs.

“What's that Arthur?" The she panda asked.

“Can you go to your bedroom windows?" The hedgehog boy asked.

The panda, wolverine, cat and rabbit did as requested.

“Look out your windows, what do you see?"

“Midnight celebrations Arthur." The rabbit girl replied looking at the revelers below.

“Very joyous." The cat added.

“Lots of fireworks." The wolverine boy commented.

“Harmony." The panda girl added.

“In other words a better world than what should have existed now." Minka replied sensing what her partner was alluding to.

“All of which would not be happening if not for your sacrifices." The hedgehog boy opined. “Primrose, Cody, Milo and Panda Lee thank you."

“For Arthur and myself it was Flo's sacrifice that allowed us to return from the realm of fire and magma." Minka said wanting to belong to this new sub-group.

“It is just the sacrificing part; the needs of the few for the needs of the many." Panda Lee said pouting.

“You will learn to live with it. Just like Cody and I did." Primrose replied.

“So what is on tap for the first day of the new year?" Cody Spencer asked.

“Well Arthur and I were thinking about following up that Namoi Good lead Yoana gave us." Minka said grinning broadly.

“ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" The alien and time hunters shouted at the ghost hunters.

"Not so loud! You will wake my parents!" Arthur whisper shouted.

1:10 AM Free Counter Earth (Corey and Rumble's home, Forests Near World Five)

“Looks like the New Year's celebrations are finally winding down." The black haired teen said looking up toward the sky. “I guess that means we can finally get some sleep."

“...one problem…" The escaped lab creature said bringing Corey back to reality.

“Hi remember me?" The female aardwolf said, smiling uncomfortably within her bindings. “I'm Dogo."

“...what do we do with her..?"

“You could let me stay. If you do I might overlook you two tying me up and holding captive for the last six hours." She said smiling.

“You want to stay don't you?" The teen asked. “I guess that means we don't have to worry about alerting the knights of Sovereign to our whereabouts leading to my friend and myself's capture." Corey said, staring down their captive.

“Ok let me put it another way, I am your superior human! You must obey my commands!"

“...not happening…" Rumble grumbled.

“You are not being controlled?" Dogo asked wriggling within her bound paws and foot paws.

“I kinda got over that." The teen said, crossing his arms.

“Okay then, I need to pee."

The brown werewolf studied the female aardwolf for a moment.

He nodded to his boy.

“Oh geez!" Corey said, freeing her foot paws. “Come on this way." He said leading her outside the front of his and Rumble's home. Once in the forest he guided her to a group of bushes. “Right here."

“Aren't you going to help?" Dogo asked the boy.

“You can do that yourself." Mr. Collins shot back.

“Well how about a little privacy then?" The female asked.

“Let's just say that I like to watch." The teen sniped.

The female beastial was a looker her body shape while similar to a bowling pin, was easy on the eyes. She had a black masked face like a raccoon and dark paws and arms that made it look like she was wearing gloves.

When she dropped her pants, Corey saw she had a striped tail, and a nice shaped caboose. He especially admired the stripes on her back and thighs. He didn't like the unkempt fur on the top of her head though.

“So you and handsome live out here by your lonesome?" She asked as Corey watched her make water.

“My pal and I are outcasts." The teen replied.

“Really?" The female asked as she finished. “You prefer to live on your own but are awfully close to the empire."

Corey looked at the orange bobbles placed strategically around the forest.

“Yeah I know. The knight core frequently visits our neck of the woods looking for runners."

“That must be irritating. Why not flee the empire entirely?"

“Rumble and I have thought about that." The teen replied cryptically.

“You have ties here in World Five." The she wolf theorized.

“So do you." Corey said watching her ears twitch as she pulled up her pants.

“We should leave."

“There are knights about?" Mr. Collins asked.

“A lot are coming this way." The aardwolf replied.

“I have a better idea, gorgeous- why don't you reveal your cards to me right here and now. Like why you weren't adverse to being taken prisoner, being held captive and importantly why you are out here in the forest by yourself?"

Dogo looked at Corey.

“Or we can stay here and be captured by the knights. Your choice." the teen asked as the she wolf gave him a wry smile.

“...took you long enough…" Rumble said opening the door to their underground hideout.

“We were getting to know each other a little more." The teen said to his werewolf.

“Corey thinks I am beautiful." The she wolf said handing him the ropes that were binding her hands.

“And she is a transporter." Mr. Collins said, closing the door of their lair behind him.

“...what…?"

“I help those fleeing beasital tyranny. Well until recently."

“...how recently…?"

“One of the humans I was transporting exposed me. I have been on the run ever since." The she wolf replied.

“A beastial helping humans?" The teen asked.

“Let's just say I have empathy for what you hairless types have experienced and wanted to do something about it." Dogo replied.

“You did and where did it get you?" Mr. Collins replied snarkily.

“Deep undercover with other refugees until the heat wears off."

The werewolf looked at his boy who looked at the aardwolf and then back at the werewolf.

“Please?" She pleaded.

“Another mouth to feed." Corey said, crossing his arms.

“I promise I will pull my weight." She said clasping her paws together.

The she wolf received neutral stares from her would be hosts.

“Not enough? Okay in exchange for being a extra burden to you two I will bless you with my beauty every day." Dogo said sweetening the offer.

“...say what…?" Rumble asked sitting down on his hanches like domesticated dog.

“I will dress like Rumble here." The female beastial said removing her top and exposing her breasts.

Rumble and Corey's eyes went wide.

“I will snuggle with you two during the night and wear nothing underneath whatever loincloth you give me to wear." Dogo said making her final offer.

The aardwolf leaned agains the sitting werewolf making herself comfortable. She then removed her pants beckoning the black haired teen to sit next to her. As he did, she grabbed his hands and guided them to her breasts!

“I see that you accept! Now let me get you something for your nose bleeds." The nude she wolf said smiling.

“...so what do we do with her when the heat is over…?"

“Who said we had to do anything with her at all?" The boy said to his werewolf.

“I have heard rumors of a colony outside and away from the empire. A few of my clients I have rescued have never been heard from again." The aardwolf replied.

“And you believe they went there?" The black haired teen asked.

“Yes. I just need to determine its whereabouts. Perhaps you two might want to join me?" Dogo said holding Corey's hand and Rumble's paw.

The two looked at the aardwolf's exposed breasts. Their noses started to bleed again.

6:30 AM Free Counter Earth (The Lair, Castle Wundagore)

The next thing I remember I was sleeping on my fierce ursine warrior's right bicep. We were in her chambers on her bed and my lady bear was laying on her right side sleeping on her right paw while her left was resting across my waist.

We were both awakened by her communicator for what would be the last time in this castle.

“Greetings Commander. Today is the big day! I wanted to say it has been a pleasure and an honor."

“You too, Lord Tiger." She said ending the communication.

“Ugg, morning came too soon." I protested.

“It does pet when you are up late celebrating the arrival of the new year." She said kissing me on my head. “I was busying prepping some things late into the night while you were with your friends. You were already passed out when I came to fetch you."

“It was quite a party mistress- Tauren, Lurie, Sorren and I were playing cards and Lea stopped by too." I said feeling the lady bear pull me towards her chest.

“She is having a tough time without Lian. Hopefully Dr. Pina will develop effective weaponry so that we can take the fight to the KLIS and rescue those that they still have."

I tried to ask my lady bear how long she thought that would take but Sir Ram's mind control device didn't allow humans to question their beastial superiors.

“Hopefully." Was all I could say.

“So today is the big day, pet."

“Yes it is mistress." I replied, lifting my head to take a good look around her room. It didn't look like we were moving today; nothing was packed or boxed up which I thought was weird.

“In honor of our last morning here, I want you to make love to me." She rumbled nuzzling my neck.

Then all turned white. I woke up to soft gentle licks on my face.

“I never have done that before." I commented as her paw touched my head.

“That was the best one yet; I really blew your mind."

“Yeah." I agree as we kissed. “I love you mistress."

“I know pet." She said teasing me. “Come, we she eat and get dressed, we have a busy morning ahead."

The rest of the morning routine was the usual as it had been for many years but instead of heading to work that morning, I accompanied her to the loading dock where a small departure party had gathered.

“Commander Ursa congratulations on the promotion, I feel you will excel in your position." Lord Tiger said, shaking her paw.

“You both will be missed." A hot lioness said, shaking her other paw while hugging me at the same time.

“Mr. Winter!" A dall in a white lab coat sheep shouted redirecting my attention.

“Dr. Pina."

“I know we haven't known each other very long, I want you to be on your best behavior and to look after your master like you did me during our recent captivity." He replied ordering me.

Like Lea, I found myself giving Sir Ram's replacement a big hug and Lord Tiger too.

7:30 AM Free Counter Earth (Lady Vermin's Office, Castle Warwick)

“Watch commander, I trust everything is satisfactory?" A gecko asked his new supervisor.

“This is not Castle Wundagorel- but what is?" The rat warrior replied.

“I see your beastial characteristics have started to reassert themselves. Welcome, and welcome back."

“Thank you Ceil." Lady Vermin replied. “What is the status of Commander Ursa?"

“She has departed World One and is enroute here." A turtle replied poking his head around the corner into the female warrior's office.

“Thank you Faust. Are we prepared for their arrival?"

“Yes ma'am."

*arf* *arf*

“What is that?"

“A stray I found. Faust and I were trying to find its owner." The gecko replied.

“You haven't had any luck apparently." Lady Vermin observed.

“No ma'am." The turtle said petting the abandoned pooch.

9:30 AM Free Counter Earth (Castle Warwick, World Two)

“It was nice that Lord Tiger gifted you your own prototype!" I replied from the passenger seat of the white coupe.

“Defender class." My bear replied from the driver's seat.

“It was a nice going away present mistress." I continued.

“And will be quite useful here." My warrior bear commented glancing at me. “Well here we are World Two, our new home, what do you think?"

“Eh." I replied looking out the windows. “World One was nicer."

“Yes the city is a little rough around the edges- but it is in better shape than say World Four. Commander Gator saw to that."

*Commander Ursa we are arriving at Castle Warwick.* The automated assistant announced.

“Acknowledged Blades."

“They have made some improvements, it is not as ugly as I remember." I replied looking at our new home. “It used to be two towers."

“It is now two circular brick tiered castles Alex- side by side." My she beast commented as we started our decent ultimately landing in the courtyard of the structure on the left.

We were greeted by Commander Ursa's second in command, her best friend who accepted a similar transfer, Lady Vermin and two senior knights from Castle Warwick and a plus one.

“Welcome Commander!" The turtle in a helmet carrying a spear said helping her from the white coupe.

“Welcome Alex Winter." The gecko who was dressed similarly replied, presenting his paw to me.

*Arf* *Arf*

(Is that Spirit?! NO WAY!!)

“Whoa easy there!" I said as the tian mountain dog reared on his hind legs and started licking me in the face.

“He likes you." Faust replied as my lady bear and the gecko stared.

“Indeed." Commander Ursa said starring. “Is he yours?"

“No. Just an abandoned stray who I have been trying to find a home for." The gecko replied.

“Greetings senior knight, Ceil and Faust reporting for duty." The turtle holding a spear announced.

“As you were." My bear said with some authority.

“We are here to guide you through the castle." Faust said proudly.

“Where is the watch commander?" My brown bear asked, lifting her eyebrow.

“She had some items to attend to. She will be along shortly." Ceil added.

Castle Warwick looked like two open air circular coliseums connected together- each had a small tower near an adjoined hallway most likely where knight command, the cafeteria, conference rooms, operations, medical and sciences were located.

The tour proved my theory correct. As Ceil and Faust showed us around, I tried not to stare too much at the tian mountain dog but he was staring at me; I tried to act naturally so as to not draw any attention.

“Such a good boy." I said petting him.

“Well here we are." The gecko said, arriving at an all too familiar grey door.

I looked at my she beast in confusion. She smiled at me.

“This looks like the entrance to our former home at Castle Wundagore."

“Go on in Alex." She ordered.

The door lifted upward and I stepped inside. “Oh my!" It was the spitting image of the lair right down to the sectional, high table by the windows, viewscreen and second floor with the single bedroom!

(How was this even possible?!)

“I thought that this would make the move easier." The warrior bear said placing her paw on my shoulder. “You will maintain this place as you did our previous pet."

“My responsibilities remain unchanged while yours have increased mistress." I said studying our new home as Lady Vermin arrived.

“I hope you are finding the accommodations to your liking commander?" She asked extending her paw.

The brown bear looked at me. “Acceptable." I replied as a quadrupedal canine rubbed up against me. “But what would really make this transition easier…." I said motioning to the tian mountain dog.

“Allowing my pet to have a pet?" Ursa asked.

“More like an emotional support animal mistress. You know to keep me from being lonely when you are away." I said smiling.

“That did tend to happen a lot in our previous positions." The rat said to the bear.

“It would solve my problem of having to find a home for it as well." Ceil added.

“We will try it on a trial basis." My fierce ursine warrior replied. “If caring for that animal doesn't interfere with your labors…"

“It won't." I replied bowing.

“Very well pet. I am off to work. Make sure our things are unpacked and where they should be. Then prepare dinner."

“Yes mistress." I replied as she turned to walk away.

(She is getting right to work? There is that anything for the cause mentality I have come to know…)

“Forgive my tardiness my lady." Lady Vermin began. “I was familiarizing myself with an urgent case."

“Our first case." The bear said correcting her best friend.

“Right. Let's head to the staging room." Ceil suggested.

9:43 AM Free Counter Earth (The Lair, Castle Warwick)

I walked from room to room to room of the new lair. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

*POOF*

“Pretty amazing huh? I guess now you know what she was doing yesterday evening." The tian mountain dog replied.

Spirit had turned from his quadrupedal form to his beastial form. There he stood in front of me, my beastial boyfriend without his orange and black covered bottom wear.

“Spirit!" I said running to hug him.

“I missed you my comfort animal." He whispered in my ear.

“I missed you more, my emotional support animal." I countered as his snout found my lips and we kissed. “You are here."

I tried to ask the beastial a question but was blocked by the mind control device.

“You mean how am I here?" He said asking my question for me. “I have been given a new assignment."

I looked at the tian mountain dog.

“To reunite with my boyfriend and to observe and report on the knight core here in World Two." Spirit replied.

“My mistress said that you would be here on a trial basis." I warned.

“I have it on good authority that she is going to welcome the new addition to her little family- you will too. Just think you will perform your chores twice as fast which will leave you free time for some OTHER pursuits." He said, smirking at me.

“But…" I started to protest.

“What if your master comes home early? Let's just say this city has some challenging problems which will require Ursa and her subordinates undivided attention." Spirit said grabbing my hand and twirling me around like I was his dance partner. “Now I believe you have your daily labors to perform…"

As the four knights entered the conference room, Commander Ursa noted it was a day a ago when she learned that she would be the new head of the knight core for World Two and would retain her current rank and the prestige with it.

She sat down at the head of a circular table, her second in command to her left and the next senior knight Faust to her right. Ceil was operating the view screen.

“So what do you have?" The bear asked.

“There has been a spike in disappearances here in World Two." The gecko said as he started his presentations.

“Details Ceil." Lady Vermin ordered.

“Yes of beastials. It started about a week ago." He continued.

“Couldn't it be attributed to the KLIS?" Ursa asked her subordinates.

“We thought so too ma'am but no." Faust replied, adding his two cents. “After the seizure of their moon-base- disappearance and abduction rates have been declining across four of the five cities of the empire."

“All except for World Two." Lady Vermin replied as Ceil continued to show the stats.

“You would think with the extraterrestrials thwarted we would see results empire wide." The gecko opined.

“Or perhaps they have alternate sites other than the moon-base?" The rat warrior theorized.

Ursa thought for a minute. “Are we sure it is even them?"

“Now that is a disturbing thought." Ceil replied.

“It is apparent that more information is necessary." Faust concluded.

“I want all our forces on alert. Let me know the minute you have anything. Dismissed." The brown bear said to her subordinates.

11:50 AM Free Counter Earth (The New Lair, Castle Warwick)

“Yes, you have something?" Commander Ursa asked the knight.

The white prototype arrived at a small park within the city. The ursine warrior stepped out joining the rat and turtle already on the scene.

“What is it?" The bear asked her subordinates.

“The remains of one of the missing." Faust said, scanning a box underneath a shrub. “Not intact."

“Lady Vermin?" The bear asked the rat.

“The good news- it is not extraterrestrial related commander."

“The bad news?" The female brown bear asked, crossing her arms frowning.

“Someone is killing the missing and dismembering their bodies." Faust replied picking up a dismembered paw from the box.

“With the humans under control and the alien threat contained…." Commander Ursa theorized.

“It can only be the work of another beastial. A very bad beastial." The turtle said, bagging the severed paw.

There was a massive crowd assembled around the platform where the power couple stood. It easily had to be two thirds the population of the city.

I grabbed my lioness' paw as we scanned the crowd. To our left was professor Stern, Corbin and Club. Behind us was my family Ursa, Boris and Beatrice. Elsewhere in the crowds I saw Penny and Psi, The colony council members, Lily Blossom, Ms. Rose, Basil and Ms. Una, The Wild family, the Dalmatian family, Addy, Russell, Nikka. Masha and her cubs. Milton and Melinda and finally Pestle who looked confused by the crowds who had assembled in the park.

“Hmm… Oliver, Theresa, Axe, Bow, Nezera, Corey and Rumble aren't here." I said to my perfect person.

“Perhaps they will be along later little cutie." Shakara said as she watched the meerkats finished setting up the impromptu PA system using the silver, red and blue prototypes. Technology on our new planet was rather limited.

One of the females- Meena made her way to the platform and handed the leader of the sand folk a box. Duchess Jua accepted it, placing it on the podium in front of King Dragon. She looked at Meena who then nodded to Tilikum, Gluay and Khai.

“Is this thing on?!" Sorren asked. Feedback was heard from the sound systems of the prototype.

“Although we started off on the wrong foot so to speak." Shakara started to say.

“Three… Two… One… Happy New Year!!!" We heard King Dragon and Duchess Jua shout over the PA system.

“I can't believe it." Pia gasped.

“You know you have a problem dealing with reality little Margay?" The wolf demon said to Pia.

“That is why she is the skeptic of the team boss."

“Anyway. Here is how the game is going to be played Shadow Chasers." Diamantopoulous said to the margay, sand cat and leopard cat who stood uneasily behind their podiums. “I will ask a series of questions if you know it the answer, press the buzzer. Each correct answer is one point. Each incorrect answer is a negative point."

“At the end of the game the contest with the most points will become Diamantopoulous newest servant." The announcer said pointing to the three.

“And those who lose?" Peyton asked. As Flo and Leopia watched from the audience.

“Back into the box." The dark wolf replied.

“Alright let's begin." The announcer said starting the game. “True or false Diamantopoulous has always been the master of this realm."

“Like that is an easy one." The orangutan whispered to the oncilla.

The three ghost hunters traded glances at each other.

“FALSE!! Diamantopoulous is the most recent master of this realm, but he has not always been its overseer and ruler! Minus one for all contestants!!" The leopard announcer shouted.

The dark wolf remained silent giving the three shadow chasers a most smug look.

“Our lord and master was a minion who was promoted for his loyalty." The fire feline announced. “Looks like you three didn't do your research."

“Could we have this as a multiple choice?" Geff asked the dark wolf.

“No." he replied simply.

“Two." Pia replied.

“Wrong!! The correct answer is four! Desert with sand, desert with rocks, desert with drylands, desert with volcano and lava! Minus one for all contestants!!"

“You three should really get out more." Diamantopoulous teased.

“Question three, how many minions serve the master of this realm?"

“One hundred." The margay replied.

“Five hundred." The sand cat guessed.

“I will say one thousand." The leopard cat guessed.

“Wrong!! Millions and millions and millions!" The fire leopard chastised the contestants.

“And millions plus one slave and one servant." The dark wolf said looking at Flo and Leopia.

“Like wow, this is becoming bruta!"l Flo whispered to Leopia.

“Next question what is the size of the realm of fire and magma?" The fire leopard asked.

'Um…" Pia Pampa answered.

“What is the make up of Diamantopoulous' forces?"

“Uh…" Geff Geoffry replied.

“Who inhabits the realm of fire and magma?"

“Well…" Peyton Palla started to say.

“Wrong, wrong and wrong!" The announcer shouted. “Negative points for all of you!"

“Now wait one cotton picking minute!" The sand cat shouted.

“Yes Geff?" The wolf demon asked focusing his attention on the sensitive of the Shadow Chasers who was being quite sensitive at that moment.

“How the hell can we even participate in this… this farce when we can't answer the questions?"

“We know nothing about you or even this place!!!" The margay said pilling on.

“How could we? We have been held prisoner in… in.. your box!!!" The leopard cat shouted.

The announcer looked at the dark wolf. “Very well sidebar."

*FLASH*

The three were transported to a villa overlooking a belching shield volcano and its lava flow.

“Where are we now?" Pia asked.

“Looks like some vacation resort overlooking a lava river." Geff observed.

“We were transported here." Peyton said touching the glass window and the balcony over the river of lava.

“Impressive isn't it?" A voice behind the three asked.

“Diamantopoulous!!!" The three gasped.

“We know so little about you." Pia started to say.

“I suppose a little one on one is called for. I am the lord and master of this realm…" the dark wolf said disappearing and reappearing as a large geyser of flame with eyes. “And more…"

“This must be your true form." The margay theorized.

“It is." The dark being replied.

“From the looks of it you can manipulate reality too." The leopard cat observed.

“I can." The geyser of flame replied.

“This is only a thimble of his power." The sand cat replied feeling out of sorts.

“I can also body hop." Geff said feeling his mouth move, but the words weren't his. “Average intelligence, not too detail oriented as demonstrated by his grooming habits."

“Guys I think he possessed me!" Pia shouted. “Pia Pampa above average intelligence, supple chest, soft genitals but has trouble dealing with reality."

Pia gasped as she realized the dark wolf made her touch herself in front of her friends.

“And last but not least Peyton you are the most intelligent of the three, detail orientated, very particular about your grooming, and your looks and it shows plump breasts, very soft genitals." The leopard cat said out loud as she also touched herself.

The dark wolf left his three contestants reappearing in front of them. One by one he picked each up off of the ground and cuddled them.

“Diamantopoulous what are we seeing?!" The three asked.

“I am showing you what your realm looks like now. World One, Two, Three, Four and Five."

“Such death, destruction and decay." Pia shouted.

“All that happened while we were here?" Geff gasped.

“We would be returning to literally nothing!" Peyton whimpered.

“This is the after empire era where existence is hard and death is around every corner. The dirty little secret is it is actually better here, than it is there. Now let's get back to your interview shall we?"

*FLASH*

“Bonus Round for our contestants whoever answers this will receive seven points and will win the game- how old is our lord and master?" The fire leopard asked.

The shadow chasers looked at the wolf demon who smiled quite demonically at them.

“Ageless." Pia replied.

“Unknown." Geff guessed.

“Undetermined." Peyton guessed.

“Correct Pia Pampa, he is without age."

“Finally!" Leopia said to Flo.

“Time flows differently here." The orangutan slave commented.

“Pia Pampa receives seven points. The results are as follows Pia with one point and Geff and Peyton with negative six." The dark wolf said making his way to his newest servant.

“I guess we are going back to the box huh?" The sand cat asked, turning to the leopard cat.

“You betcha!" The wolf demon smiled as Pia's friends congratulated her.

*FLASH*

And just like that Geff and Peyton were gone.

“And now Ms. Pampa you will become my second servant and wait on me loyally and faithfully for the rest of your natural life."

“And if I refuse?"

“Well I guess I could return your friends back to what is left of your realm."

“They would probably end up back here anyway." Leopia whispered to Flo.

“It is that bad back there?" The orangutan slave asked her friend.

“Worse." The oncilla replied.

“Yes master." The margay said bowing.

“Oh and you won't need your clothing ever again." The wolf demon said snapping his paw finger.

The crowd disappeared and the game show ended.

“Pia Pampa." The nude orangutan slave girl said greeting her coworker.

“Yes master." The orangutan, oncilla and margay replied.

Time: N/A [eternity] Realm of Fire and Magma (Diamantopoulous' Toybox)

“This place again." The sand cat said sitting down on the ground. He was joined by the leopard cat.

“Appears so." Talk about being between a rock and a hard place.

“On the contrary..." It was the flame leopard- the announcer of the gameshow they had just lost. “The master has decided to display empathy."

“In what way?" Geff asked.

“He has given you two to me." The fire leopard smiled demonically.

“That was quite generous of him." Peyton said as she felt something brush up against her. It was their new master.

“We are going to have eternity to get to know each other and oh the things I am going to do to you!"

Peyton looked at Geff obviously the minion was not referring to educating them about what would become their permanent home.

“Mistress! What are you doing here?" I noticed as my perfect person was ordering Coal, Cheemar and even some of the dragon defenders around.

“Working out security for the big meeting and the solar eclipse this afternoon pet." She said turning to me.

She looked outstanding in her tan and brown knight uniform. For now anyway.

“But mistress, I thought you were taking the day off being newly impregnated and all?" I countered.

I received an eyebrow raise for that comment.

“I mean you have a little bear growing inside of you!"

“Your concern is noted Alex, but it is unwarranted."

“Huh?"

“If Boris and I did create new life today it will be a while before it becomes apparent. Until then I am still a senior knight in the service to our king." She said patting me on my shoulder.

Together we watched the leaders from the tribes and clans adjacent to World Seven enter the council chambers for the big meeting. Ambassador Umebo of the Stone Folk, Bounce of the Mud Folk, Laurel of the Tree Folk and Mist of the Merfolk all sat down at a large oval table in the center of the room.

Then Shira, Basil, Masha and Haem took their seats followed by some surprise guests.

“Is that? Yes it is! Chief Black Scythe and Chieftain Lyre of Perna Pride!"

“They are very pretty." My brown bear commented as they sat down at the same oval table.

(Wow, this was turning out to be some meeting!)

I didn't know the half of it.

“Hello boy." A savage feline wearing a brown shawl and bone necklace and nothing else said greeting me.

“Chief Saber?!" I gasped, my jaw dropping open.

“I see that you thrive boy, I might have to do something about that later." He said closing it for me.

“And you do too chief. What are you doing here?" I stuttered.

“I decided to let Naomi accept your offer." He replied calmly.

I watched as the brunette teen waved as she followed one of his minions, a feline warrior who was carrying what looked like a tri-bladed yo-yo into the meeting.

“You have an interesting village- stone huts, very big, very beautiful and very vulnerable." The vicious savage commented.

“That is why we are having this meeting today." My warrior bear said, nodding to a few of her subordinates.

“Chief Saber weapons are not allowed here." A cheetah warrior said confronting the two savages and their slave.

“We must insist that you surrender them." A mule said joining his fellow knight. “This meeting may get very heated and there is no killing allowed."

“It is true master." The brunette teen replied, glancing into the forum.

There was a pregnant pause before Saber and his subordinate Blade allowed their weapons to be collected.

“Very well. There are more important things than grievances with other tribes." The savage chieftain huffed.

“Who was that pet?"

“That is Saber the vicious he is the leader of Three Rivers Pride. The girl is his slave Naomi Good."

“The human that is from the Counter Earth that was never conquered by ONE?"

“The same mistress."

“How is that even possible?"

“I am thinking alternate reality, I would love to know how though. Maybe if this planet doesn't work out- that could be our next stop?" I replied pensively.

“It looks like the meeting is beginning pet." My mistress replied as King Dragon and Duchess Jua took their seats and a select few from the city were allowed to enter the forum as well.

“World Seven Council and honored guests thank you for coming to this forum today." The leader of the sand folk said greeting participants.

“The purpose of this meeting is to talk about a new concern to our clans and tribes." King Dragon said taking his seat. “We became aware of this concern when three of our own were attacked."

“We call professor Dawn Stern, Corbin Mongoose and Club to the forum." Basil announced.

“You call that former chieftain one of your own?!" Saber scoffed at seeing the excommunicated leader of Kenja Pride.

“Yes he is a member of this village and our tribe now." Shira said to the leader of Three Rivers Pride.

“We first became aware of Marbas while studying the ruins of his fallen civilization." The blond archaeologist said as she recounted the story."

“Marbas charged at us without warning or provocation." Club added.

“The next thing we knew we were being revived." Corbin added still shivering from the encounter.

“King Dragon had to confront Marbas to secure your release." Masha said to the little mongoose boy. “He handled himself spectacularly."

“Him?" Saber asked looking at the former cafeteria cook.

“We learned that Marbas was a guardian of the site professor Stern was investigating." Basil added.

“And after that encounter all research into ancient civilizations was halted." Haem mimed.

“Ur… ur… ur…" Umebo concluded.

“Grunt… grunt.. Grunt." Bounced agreed.

“That is right.after that incident these weird structures started appearing all over the place in the Great Marsh." Laurel announced.

“Our ponds." Mist added.

“The Marble canyons." Chief Lyre added.

“Do any of you even know what they are?" Saber the vicious asked crossing his arms and closing his eyes.

“Structures belonging to Marbas' civilization." Club said answering the chieftain.

“They have appeared in a forest near here." Basil observed. “No one knows why or how."

Blade snickered at the prehistoric cave bear's comment.

“Do any of you know why?" Saber asked looking around the room.

“Well two of my defenders while investigating some structures near here were transported elsewhere." The duchess replied.

“It is a good thing that you are having this meeting today because none of you know what is really going on!" The leader of the Three Rivers Pride said shaking his head.

“Why don't you tell us Saber?" Black Scythe said turning to face him.

“They call themselves the Conclave- members of a civilization that disappeared many seasons ago. Well some of them survived and are returning."

“Exactly how do you know that?" King Dragon asked the vicious savage.

“One of them told me before I ended her life. The structures that are appearing everywhere are used to move a person from one location to another in an instant!" Saber said as gasps were heard around the room. “That is how I was able to travel to your village in such a short time."

“You know how to use the structures?" Laurel asked.

“I do. The Conclave is resurrecting their civilization, increasing their numbers…." Saber replied as Blade and Naomi looked around the room.

“And will use these structures to take back territory that was once theirs." Chief Lyre theorized.

“That is why the structures are appearing all over the place." Chieftain Black Scythe concluded.

“For those of you in the dark, It is called being surrounded. The Conclave are on the rise and preparing to take over. The question is what are you going to do about it?!" The leader of Three Rivers Pride asked all present.

10:00 AM Chaundoon (Twilight Forest, Valley Of Darkness)

“Well here we are, what do you think?" Minka bounced excitedly.

“Took long enough to get here." Midnight Black complained.

“It is also one of the spookiest places we have investigated." Arthur commented.

“True. It is hard to believe that just over that hill is sunlight." The monkey girl replied.

“And yet the moment we entered here no suns, no light." The hedgehog boy said thinking out loud.

“Any explanation boy?" The akita assassin asked.

“It is almost like the suns are forbidden to shine here." The Ghost Hunters leader replied.

“Alright let's take a look around… carefully." Minka and Arthur's protector ordered.

“This one is for you Flo." Minka replied as she followed her colleagues into the forest of darkness and shadows.

“Hmm… same flora as what is near World Seven." Arthur said stopping to admire a short tree. “What about the fauna?"

“What is fauna?" A mysterious voice asked.

“No sudden movements!" Midnight Black ordered reaching for his blades.

Arthur and Minka looked up to where they had heard the voice.

“Like wow a shadow snake." The hedgehog boy said looking at the serpentine form atop the short tree.

“Look again Arthur." The she monkey warned.

“A three headed large shadow snake." Arthur said correcting himself.

“I am Kyodai. This is my forest." He said greeting the three.

“Is all of you Kyodai or just one of your heads?" The she monkey asked.

“All of me and you are?" He asked.

“Friendly. I hope you are too." The cheeky monkey girl shot back.

“I try to, but I don't receive many visitors here- too dark you know."

“Well Mr. Kyodai how is it that this place receives no light from the suns?" The akita asked lowering his guard.

“This place is enchanted." Was the three headed shadow snake's answer.

“As is everything else on this planet." Minka scoffed as two of the creature's three heads looked away from his guests.

“Kyodai?" Arthur asked.

“More visitors!" He replied as a illuminated arch opened up not fifteen feet from the trio.

“Minka! Arthur!" The akita said grabbing the monkey and the hedgehog and hiding behind the snake and his tree.

“What is that?" The she monkey whispered.

“A doorway?" Arthur said trying to see what was on the other side. It looked like the other end was in a lab some where.

There was a metallic illuminated light coming toward the arch. Behind it some voices… familiar voices.

“Wow it is quite dark here, Minka, are you sure this is the right place?"

“This is where Yoana said Naomi Good wound up Arthur."

“Okay, I hope she is right." The two said walking through the arch and into the Chaundoon forest.

“She is right, Naomi is on this world some where it is just going to take time to find her." The hedgehog boy replied.

Midnight Black did a double take; he looked to his right and left, his charges were right in front of him, but who were the other two who just entered the forest?!

“Am I seeing double?" Kyodai hissed.

“Unreal!!!" The she monkey jumped up from behind the tree.

“I better go after her." The hedgehog boy said joining her.

“YOU TWO COME BACK!" The dark akita ordered.

Arthur and Minka from Free Counter Earth came to a dead stop when they saw the Arthur and Minka from Conquered Counter Earth.

“It's the other us-es from the metallic sphere!!" Minka shouted. “Hey where is that sexy akita?!"

“Oh he is hiding over there behind the tree snake." The other Minka said pointing.

Midnight Black face palmed while Kyodai continued his double take.

“Wow, seriously mysterious!!" The Arthurs said touching paws.

11:50 AM Chaundoon (Infirmary, Central Tower)

“Honestly what is going on up there?" Penny asked looking at Psi.

“Sounds like an intense meeting." Pestle commented.

“Everything okay?" Lily Blossom asked Linas and Sandu who were racing to the council room followed by Arugula.

“Negotiations are getting a little heated!!" The scorpion boy shouted racing by.

“Hiss! Hiss!" The fire lizard agreed.

“Negotiations are getting heated." The goat lady said, closing the hallway door.

“Negotiations?!" My lioness asked. “I thought it was supposed to be just a meeting?"

“Well you have two S'mar prides in the same room." I said to my coworkers and my devious person.

“That does sound contentious." Penny Penguin observed.

“Really what prides attended the meeting?" Psi asked.

“Black Scythe from Perna Pride and Saber from The Rivers Pride." I said calmly.

“That would explain the noise we are hearing." The living statue replied.

“I wonder if Boris will have to rebuild the chambers again?" My red eyed lioness asked.

“Chief Saber?! Here?!" Pestle shouted.

“That's right he is your former chieftain is that right Pestle?" Lily Blossom said trying to calm down our resident s'mar witch doctor.

“Chieftain who will have my head on a platter if he finds me!"

“Right, you didn't really ask permission to leave your pride did you?" Shakara asked.

“I know someone who will be working here through the eclipse." Penny teased as the noise from the above floors of the towers ceased.

Lily Blossom opened the hallway door to see the council members heading downstairs.

“Looks like they are in recess." Psi observed.

“Alright we are going on break." Penny said grabbing Psi's arm and leading him out of medical.

“Come on little cutie, let's go find big cutie." Shakara said grabbing my hand.

“You have things here?" The goat lady asked our terrified s'mar healer."

“Yeah, yeah sure." Pestle said nervously.

The slender loin-clothed s'mar watched his coworkers leave medical to join the crowds outside the tower and in the streets of the city as it started growing dark outside.

“Kip, Ganzel- it is almost time." He called out to the infirmary's patients.

Hearing no answer he entered their room. He found the sand dragon and black bear cub asleep. The young witch doctor was about to wake the two when he heard someone enter the infirmary.

Pestle left the patient's room and entered the waiting room. Finding no one there he checked Penny Penguin's office thinking she might have forgotten something. The head of medical's office was empty. So he decided to start checking each of the examination rooms. It was in exam room three he found the source of the noise.

“CHIEF SABER!" Pestle gasped.

“Hello traitor." The leader of Three Rivers Pride said closing the door to the examination room behind him. “You seem well… for now."

12:30 PM Chaundoon (Main Street, World Seven)

“Looks like we got out here just in time." I replied as the red sky faded to black.

Shakara and I heard collective ohs and ahhs from the refugees of Counter Earth but what about the inhabitants of the planet?

Making our way through the crowds we found King Dragon and Duchess Jua and the members of the council enjoying the event. Judging by Laurel, Umebo, Bounce and Mist's reactions they didn't view celestial event as anything foreboding.

“There you are big cutie!" Shakara said greeting Lady Ursa who was standing off to Sorren's right as Mattimeo and Mathias were flanking the Duchess on her left.

“I couldn't stay for the entirety but it sounds like the meeting was intense." I said greeting my brown bear.

“It was rather heated pet." My mistress replied as Shakara and I stood next to her.

“That was an understatement." The goofy dragon replied. “Everyone had an opinion about the Conclave."

“Some wanted to ignore the problem, others wanted to negotiate with Marbas and still others wanted to attack the problem head on." Sorren's squeeze said to my bear, lioness and myself as two of Chaundoon's three moons covered the two suns.

“King Dragon, Duchess Jua, was anything agreed upon?" I asked the two monarchs.

“Only that we should recess to enjoy the eclipse little buddy… err Mr. Winter. I believe we will get through this latest challenge as we have all of the other challenges that faced us last year."

“That is beautiful." The dragoness replied.

“Are eclipses on this world a common occurrence, your majesty?" My perfect person asked the leader of the sand folk.

“No. That is why when something like this happens, it is rather a special event. It is ending now." The duchess observed as Sorren reached for her paw.

“It is ending." My devious person replied as the sky grew brighter and brighter.

But as the two moons moved away from the two suns shadows were cast over the city which was weird because there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The shadows were from something else.

“What is that?" Mathias asked looking upward.

“Spaceships- it is a fleet!" I shouted.

“Is it captain Raizi?" Shakara asked.

“Doubtful, they seem to resemble the robo bears craft but they are oval shaped." Lady Ursa observed.

“And a lot of them- I count about forty ships- is this an invasion?!" I asked looking at Sorren. The red dragon was staring upward as the skyships hovered directly over World Seven.

“WE ARE THE STAR ALLIANCE!!! A CURSED OBJECT ORIGINATING FROM HERE WAS SENT TO OUR WORLD!! IT DEVASTATED OUR PLANET AND STAR SYSTEM!! WE DEMAND RETRIBUTION FROM THE INDIVIDUAL OR INDIVIDUALS RESPONSIBLE!!!"

(Oh crap!!)

Duchess Jua, Mattimeo, Mathias, Lady Ursa, Shakara and myself looked at King Dragon.

“Sorren?" The dragoness asked, kneeling at the passed out monarch.

“The adventure never ends." The bear groaned.

“No it doesn't mistress." I frowned looking skyward at our newest threat.
