Lucas made the right choice to just leave as they did not really have any way of exploring and later on left that labyrinth and left the time realm just to see time did not pass at all from within there.
The First Time
"for your first time, maybe the front. don't worry. if anything goes wrong, we can stop. we can stop at any time. just tell us." they take an ornate brass key from a pocket. and they press it against your chest.
Maybe This Time

"dante, a moment of your time," was all she said in an overly sweet tone before dragging me away like she was a parent and i was a disrespectful child.
inproper timing
I can't believe i just interrupted dad's time with his boyfriend. i thought it would be a good idea to come early so i could spend more time with him, but i probably just made things awkward for everyone.
Space for a time.
To us, it didn't actually take any time. our friends missed us for eight years because time passed for them, but no time passed for us because we're travelling in our impossible car (and decided to embrace that one bit of real math).

This is the very first time i tried to actually write something. plus, considering english isn't my native language, i kinda like how it turned out... flash of light. darkness, followed by the sudden loud sound.
