observant of the people's deeds unknown
the grackle perched upon a jagged stone

Mountain yonder,
it's looking back at me,
so innocent and pure,
so glorious and vast,
it's tugging at my heartstrings,
my reverence i've cast,
i watch with eager eyes,
and speak my tender words,
i'll keep it in my heart,
but it is quite absurd

sounds simple, but too many wait for a helping hand to move onward
for me, & i'm sure, many more, that's just absurd

the nations crops, left to rot
it was this action that began the plot
the prosperous kingdom's bounty of rations
now cost too much for the far off nations
in desperate need they looked inward
and started farming in ways absurd
