Just a faint smell of chocolate, strange for an alley. shaking my head, i stepped out of the alley, and walked the rest of the way to the office. i clocked in and sat in my chair. the computer booted slowly, but strangely, i had a message.

I quickly crossed a street and loped into the cover of a dark alley sticking close to the fences. any dog that scented me was smart enough to keep quiet. we love dogs, to eat that is. and they know it, so who says they're stupid?

On my way home from work, i was taking the back way home through the alleys and i saw him. a tall hooded feline rose up from a now lifeless corpse. i slipped into the shadows to keep him from noticing me, and i watched.
Epilogue
He told me that my dad brought the car over from the bowling alley, and that he'd tell them that i was taking mel home. we both got up from our seats and walked out to the car.
