The sun was rising over the mountain on this pleasant morning. The forest was quiet, and not beast made a sound. only the small echo bug’s were chirping, and the scent of fresh dew wafted through the air. the trees stood tall, and thick with freshly grow leafs atop their branches. this was the best morning for a hunt.
Hyakan, along with ten other students marched through the forest, escorted by their instructor sachio. The feel into a straight line, marching in unison, keeping a perfect line as the delved deeper into the wood’s.
The Hunt was a weekly event were class of the school must be lead into the forest, and given a target Beast. The beast are ranked from F class, to SS class beast, With SS being the highest ranking know beast. The students are given till the afternoon to find, capture, or eliminate said monsters, and report back to the instructor. Even though the class as a whole is rewarded for completing the student with the best results received a special prizes, so the hunt can get complicated. Many students don’t make it back, be it from beast, or other students trying to stop them it can get ugly.
Sachio walked the class up to a clearing with small outpost set there. the area was safe covered with small traps, and wards keeping out beast. Sachio ordered the class to remain outside while he went inside to retrieve items for the hunt. The class spread apart into small circles excluding Hyakan, and jojo, who off to the side were discussing their own business.
“Man Hyakan, Do you think the class can win this one.” The plump boar said unsure of an answer.
“Relax Jojo, we don’t have to win, and that’s not what it’s about anyway, we have a duty to Ruino to keep safe from all types of danger, and the hunt helps that.”
“Really, but we just catch small beast, or kill pest one, how does that help.”
Hyakan sighed. “This is why you fail test, you never remember details.” Hyakan booped the boar’s nose. Jojo covered his nose feeling slightly embarrassed.
“We catch, and kill smaller one’s so that larger beast have a harder time hunting, and keeping the population under control is also a part of this, we just don't kill every beast we see.”
Hyakan pulled out a folded piece of paper presenting it to jojo. The paper had a list of beast types, and names of specific ones listed in order from rating with numbers, and area of said beast. “With this survey grape we can see what monster are high, and low on population count.”
“Ok but what about catching beast?”
“to study them of course, not all beast have been well understood, new one’s appear every day.”
Hyakan put the paper away, jojo still seemed a tad confused on the subject.
“Why, can’t we just get rid of any of them, that seems easy.”
“Jo we're not monsters, we learn more about beast because they are a natural part of our world keeping them in balances is key to maintain order.” Hyakan explained with a jolly sinces of knowledge.
“Good lot order has done.” Jojo said under his breath looking away from Hyakan
Hyakan paused looking at jojo’s face no longer puzzled, but distracted, and angry. Hyakan remained quite letting a awkward slightly fall between them. Hyakan never knew the right words for theses moment's, he feared making it worse
“Hey fatty, hothead!” Hyakan rolled his eyes, and sighed at the sound of a familiar voices.
Hyakan turned to see a stocky tom cat waltzing in his direction, with a slouching sloth following behind him.
“Tobias, and jokn, how are you two.”
The sloth lifted his hand slowly to Hyakan, but was smacked away by the cat. Tobias the cat gave his slouchy companion a dreadful sneer before turning to Hyakan. “Don't get cute fire for brain’s, what are you too talking about?”
“Nothing that involves you pussy.”jojo entered the fray
“Not speaking to you pork chop, the big kids are talking.” He turned back to Hyakan with unpleasant sneer fastened to his face.
“Jojo said noun of your business, and that mean’s noun of your business.”
“Heh, got some ball’s there, not in your mouth for once.” Hyakan glared back at the cat, his Anger becoming visible. Jojo watched in shock as Hyakan body trembled in rage, he’s head fire spiked up, flaring slightly.
“oh did i hit a nerve, fag.” Hyakan stepped forwarded, jojo stepped in front of him blocking his way. the boar looked at the enraged pokemon, and just shook his head. Hyakan struggled to hold back his hate, over, and over Tobias would do this, and it never got any easier to deal with. Hyakan just glared at the cat with a toothy smirk, then back to jojo, he took a deep breath before stepping back.
“Good, Hate to see you end up like leon.” The spiked something in Hyakan his rage skyrocketed, his head fire flared like wildfire matching his expression of blinding rage. With a tightly balled fist Hyakan pushed past jojo stomping toward the cat. The cat in turned also marched forwarded cracking his knuckles. inching closer to each other, the imamate violence would be far from unnoticeable.
The both of them closed the distance between them in mere seconded, soon face to face. Hyakan started the feline down with sharp daggers, hoping to split him open, while Tobias smiled back with a cheeky leer. Emotions were quite visible as other classmates soon surrounded them with gasp, and whispers. They paid no mind to it, only that they were the only one’s in extenese , and one would be ready to leave it.
“Enough.” a old craggy voice shouted, the class, turned to see Sachio zipping into the fray, splitting the two boys apart. “Opposites sides, the both of you, i won’t have trouble from anyone got it.” Sachio glared at the both of them.
“Yes Instructor Sachio.” Hyakan bowed out of respect.
“Yes Sachio.” Tobias did the same.
“Good, now different sides both of you, i'm handing out Tools, and attire, you'll both be last understand.” The both nodded, and walked to other end’s of the clearing. Hyakan hung his head low in shame, he leaned against tree while he watched the class gather there hunting tools, and Hunting clothes.
Hyakan waited until the last student received there thing’s before heading to get his. he walked up to Sachio who handed him, two leather sheath, one for holding a dagger, the other for a larger weapon, he then handed him a long sleeved shirt, fitted with chains on the inside, and a cape attached to it with the school symbol on the back of it. A seahorse rising from the bottom with it’s horn piercing a full moon.
“There you are Hyakan, pick a large weapon, we only have steel blades now, the higher classes had to take the other’s,.”
“Yes, Sachio.”
“You can head to the west end of the forest the a group went in that direction last,” the walrus pointed out the direction. Hyakan nodded, and grabbed a blade, and a Dagger from the selection. Hyakan put on his equipment, and strapped the sheathes to his waist placing the weapons inside.
“ Okay instructor Sachio everything is set, i'll be off.”
“Alright Hyakan, stay safe.”
“Yes sir, i will.”
“Hyakan, one last thing.” The infernap looked to his instructor with slight discomfort. “You're a good kid, keep your head up.” Hyakan was taken slightly by surprise by the comment, he never knew Sachio to compliment.
“Thank you instructor, it mean’s a lot.” Hyakan bowed to him
“please, Sachio is better, and your welcome, now head out you've got some ground to cover.”
With that said Hyakan saluted and took off down the path with Sachio watching his commendable student.

The wind blew calmly, pushing leaf’s through the path Hyakan kept on. His cap flapped in the wind while he kept his paces. He had no real tracking skills, let alone where the group went down the path, the amount of fork’s, and branching paths were emances. the small creature's footprints littered the way, making out the out was a hell of a puzzle. In the situation like this it just be best to turn around, thought Hyakan soon realized he was completely lost.
He came walked further down the path, he slumped onto a rock with a soft grunt. If he didn't find anyone soon he would have to send up a signal soon. It be embarrassing sense his instructor just gave him a compliment him.The time alone gave him some thinking space, and all that his mind could focus on was the leon comment.
The school sent students to aid in the front line, and leon was apart of the first group, it was a month or so ago, and little has been heard from anyone. That damn cat Tobias think’s he know’s just because his father is one of the serving general's. While that may be a good source of information, he didn't know a damn thing about leon or how strong that tiger is. Hyakan didn't have anyone, not even jojo was kind to him at the time he met leon. He protected Hyakan, cared for him, and was his first. call it denial but he knew he was alive.
The bushes wiggled next’s to hyakan, he glanced over To see a little lizard poke it’s head out. he inched out, seeing Hyakan out of the corner of it’s eye. it took little step’ in a akraward pattern, creeping out of the bushes. the little reptile skewered out, but it was short lived as a massive shadow dropped from a nearby tree squishy the poor thing. Hyakan jumped to his feet, the sudden arrival had his heart rate spike.
The shadowy figure revealed to be a Dark cobra, a large snake creature that was infused with black magic. It’s yellow eyes focused on Hyakan, even being a snake they could see with the magic help. it rose up showing it’s dark skinned form slither from the dust. it swayed side to side taunting Hyakan with it’s playful movement. He knew speed was not on his side, he griped his sword pulling it from the sheath. the serpent eyes sharpened at the blade. Hyakan pointed the blade at the serpent waiting for the moment to strike. THe vicious beast gave no quarter, it lunged with lighting speed Hyakan scoffed, and ready himself for what was coming.
It however was not necessary, in the middle of it’s attack the beast merely fell to pieces, it’s body falling in perfectly sliced section, as if butter cut by a sharpened knife. Hyakan watched as the towing beast toppled like a tower, the enteral juices flying out,and splashing to the floor. The corporal pieces mashed into the ground like stone. Hyakan stood there stunned at the sight as the corpse started melting into it’s own fluids smelling of a rotten fodder.
“You are not ready.” Hyakan blinked in confusion, transferring his gaze to the man standing a few paces behind the beast corpse. A misty shade funneled around him, like a blanket of darkness. his eye beckoned with an eerie yellow glow that could only be so soulless. Hyakan could hardly process the information in his head, one moment he was staring down death, and now it’s something far worse.
“Whaaa..who..what are you.” Hyakan questioned the living anomaly that stood before him. it did nothing but cast its gaze at him. Hyakan moved nervously,he didn't know what he was dealing with nor would he care to find out. holding his sword up, he step back slowly creating distance as best he could.
“The time must come...you’ve been..seen.” The voice echoed from the shadowed man.Hyakan stopped looking with concern at the man wondering what he was talking about.
What does that mean?”
“Nothing...for now….but...you must not………..” the long pause filled the air with tension, at that moment Hyakan didn't care what it had to say. Tucking his tail he made a quick turn, and dashed back the way he came.”.....Live” The shadow fished it’s scratchy word’s with an ominous end. The yellow orbs began to radiate wildy like flames spewing from a pit. The light grew brighter, and brighter till it engulfed the greater portion of the area. Hyakan didn't dare look back upon the approaching light, at the same he could feel a sort of warmth rushing up his back, pulling at him. The warm light reached out to the sky shooting straight into the air, and pulling all manner of objects with it. Gravity gave way as Hyakan was pulled away into the fierce light, floating away from the ground Hyakan let out a yell no one including he couldn't hear. The eruption of light soon consumed a portion of the forest before it soon began to close leaving no trace of the green or Hyakan.
