Feyrahl - The Protagonist (SF), MacKenzie "Mac" Millman

MacKenzie, known as "Mac" to his few close friends, recently graduated college with a Master's Degree in Chemistry. Unlike many of his fellow graduates, Mac didn't have any particular career in mind, having instead excelled at the utilization of his knowledge in a variety of applications. He interned with the Forensic Division of the local police force one year, followed by assisting as an Analytical Chemist intern for the local healthcare company for two years in a row. Before graduating he had joined in a work study program for a Pharmacology company, but he didn't commit to joining them ahead of graduation.

Although he wasn't any more intelligent than his peers, Mac did well in classes, displaying a great grasp not only of the basic concepts of Chemistry, but also the vast number of ways they could be applied in a variety of circumstances. This creativity led him to exploring his options post graduation and kept him from making any strong commitments. Rather than spend his time courting potential employers, Mac instead spent the time post-graduation ceremony meeting up with a few friends he hadn't seen in a few years. He lost track of time, and ended up heading back to his apartment late at night; things took a turn for the worse when an earthquake hit while he was crossing a bridge and he ended up careening down into the water, only to claw his way to the surface and find himself in a new world.

Despite being a book worm, Mac is in relatively decent shape. He is about 5'10 (178 cm) and a little over 170 lbs (approximately 78 kg). Mac has a well-kept mop of light brown hair and astute hazel eyes. He is of Western European descent and is light skinned, has a medium build, and has some muscle definition despite his sedentary lifestyle. Between romantic partners and focused more on university than relationships, Mac has not been particularly focused on personal care and usually waits a few days between shaving.

Mac has always been more concerned with function over form and, as such, never paid much attention to high fashion, but he is no slouch when it comes to personal appearance and always strives to be presentable. With the start of the story, Mac has glasses which he needs due to being near-sighted; he made sure that he got ones that automatically darkened when exposed to sunlight. Not particularly athletic, he tends to wear simple slip-on loafers for ease of getting ready in the morning.

Although Mac had enjoyed his parents' financial and emotional support for his first four years of college, their divorce two years ago made things difficult for them separately and he's been forced to fend for himself in order to get his Master's Degree. He maintains a relatively positive relationship with his mother who lives nearby with her new husband, but they've grown apart due to his stepfather's dislike for Mac's "homosexual lifestyle choices". His mother was able to make it for his graduation, but his stepfather chose to be absent.

He is still in touch with his father, but, because his dad moved across the country to pursue a professional career on the opposite coast there hasn't been a lot of interaction in recent months, though his dad did make it to his graduation ceremony-- but he had to leave right after to catch his flight back out of town. Mac doesn't expect to see him again anytime soon as their lives seem to have taken them in different directions, but the graduate has become comfortable over time with that realization.

As the readers will be helping to guide Mac's time in Feyrahl, it is not yet determined his particular idiosyncrasies, likes, and dislikes, but this will become more apparent as the story progresses.

Feyrahl -The Protagonist (FA), MacKenzie "Kenzie" Fulle, Bachelor of Science: Vet Tech

MacKenzie has always been interested in learning, but it didn't dampen her extroverted personality. She had a large circle of friends in her youth and was well-regarded by most of her class in her senior year, referred to affectionately as "Kenzie" by most of the student body. Moving away to attend college to become a Veterinarian, she stayed in touch with her friends and made great efforts to make new ones at her new University. Learning has always come easy to her and she picked up as many classes, work study opportunities, and tutoring sessions as she could to perfect her education; she just recently earned her Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Technology, and planned on continuing learning toward her Doctorate.

Incredibly astute, Kenzie has never had a problem picking up things whether they are part of her chosen field of study or even useless trivial she heard during game night at the student concourse. Considered knowledgeable on a number of topics, she had no shortage of invitations to work as a TA by a number of professors and, hesitant to let anyone down, took the opportunity to serve under a number of them each for a term at a time; the experience helped her expand her scope of knowledge even further and allow her to obtain her degree with a perfect 4.0 grade. Heading back home from the graduation party, her life's trajectory changed, unfortunately, as a drunk driver forced her over the edge of a bridge and she ended up careening down into the water, only some how manage to get free of the car and swim her way to the surface... in another world.

Kenzie is naturally outgoing when she's in a familiar surrounding but she can become more introverted if she's out of her element. When she's at her best she usually stands openly at her full 5'5" height (165 cm) but she loses a few inches in her more timid moments. When she was younger she went through a slightly pudgy stage but she worked hard to lose it after gainin "the freshman 10" her first year in college, and she's been relatively stable at just over 140 lbs (about 64kg) for the past year through jogging in the morning and watching her intake of junk food (a bit of a vice for her).

More focused on "easy-to-maintain" than "impress", Kenzie usually keeps her shoulder-length brownish-black hair pulled back into a pony tail or bun, and keeps her makeup simple and minimalist. Due to being 1/4 Native American, her skin is naturally tanned. She likes finer clothes but has never had the cash for the particularly high end stuff. She is as equally likely to do the 'girly dress' or the 'tom boy look' equally without regard for enforced gender norms or expectations.

Her father is a lower level executive for a fortune 500 company and makes a decent income but he's been a single parent ever since Kenzie's mom passed away about five years ago. She gets a living allowence from him and he's covered the costs of her classes. Although he doesn't approve of her profession he is willing to support her dream since he can tell that she is dedicated to the work and he loves her. He's also reminded her several times that he'll be sure to make sure there are other job options available for her of the "animal medicine thing" doesn't work out.

As the readers will be helping to guide Kenzie's time in Feyrahl, it is not yet determined her particular idiocyncrasies, likes, and dislikes, but this will become more apparent as the story progresses.
