College was both an exciting, and a very nerve-wracking time for many. For one human, he walked into his future dorm with his heart pounding, his body sweating, and adrenaline rushing through his body. It felt as if he could race around the world and have enough energy to run back to China.

The male human tossed his luggage onto one of the two beds in the dorm. The dorm was small and had some furniture, but little else. He cared not about the furniture though. He pulled out a small white card and glanced at his future roommate's name, Tobi. The name was right below his own, Mike.

Mike knew Tobi, but Tobi didn't know Mike. Mike knew Tobi was an anthropomorphic dog, a male one with pink and white fur, and Mike had a huge crush on him. He never had the courage to admit it aloud how much he loved the anthro dog. The two of them had so many things in common that it was no wonder the college would pair them up in the same dorm. For the first time, Tobi was 'going' to have to acknowledge Mike's presence! Mike felt as if he were a background character in a story whenever Tobi was around, but it didn't help that he couldn't so much as say 'hi' to the furry dog.

Mike always wished that the dog would notice him. As he looked around the room, he spotted something strange on the desk next to a window. He grabbed the item, a small wooden bead, and looked down at a note. 'Make a wish and it will come true.' He read the note in his head.

He knew wishes were nothing but a bunch of bull, especially from a bead in a college. He wondered who even set the bead down on the desk. It felt out of place compared to the rest of the otherwise very normal and boring looking dorm.

Still, Mike knew it wouldn't hurt to make a wish with the bead at least. He could then see it didn't work, and then throw it out in the garbage. "Okay, let's see...I wish that I could live with Tobi forever." He joked. He didn't have to make a wish for Tobi to notice him. Surely, with the two living together, the pink dog would 'have' to notice and acknowledge Mike at SOME point. The two would be sleeping in the same room! Just as roommates, even if Mike wanted something more.

Mike suddenly felt a jolt from the bead. He quickly dropped it and jumped back. "Ack! What the heck?" The shock felt like a static shock, which was only slightly painful, but the fact it came from a wooden bead was so strange. As far as Mike knew, that bead was regular wood, and nothing more.

Just then, Mike felt a shiver throughout his body. He wondered if that bead actually 'was' magical. His heart continued to pound, now with anxiety. 'If that was real, I really will be with Tobi forever! But...it couldn't be real, right?'

Mike expected something dramatic to happen. He got that wish as he felt his body undergoing a change, but it was not something he expected. He looked at himself as he could literally feel his bones and muscles changing in ways he couldn't describe, but he couldn't see anything physically different. "What's going on?" He wondered if he was going to transform into Tobi's perfect lover. If it made him an anthropomorphic dog, it would just make Mike all the happier.

He inspected his body and surroundings thoroughly, yet despite the tingling sensation inside of him, he didn't really notice anything different. 'Hrm… Maybe I've just been imagining things after all. Damn, I didn't realize I was that desperate for Tobi that I'd just imagine such a weird feeling. Still, I should probably do something about that tingling sensation. Maybe some water would help?' He thought to himself, as he looked around the dorm for a water tap.

As Mike left the room in search of a sink, he took notice of the building he was going to live in for the coming years. Its interior design was nothing special, but it looked warm and welcoming, with a few modernist paintings hanging on the walls and a houseplant standing against a corner in the hallway. It wasn't special, but judging by its height, someone seemed to have taken good care of it for at least a while, seeing as it went right up to Mike's shoulder.

Right as he reached the end of the hallway, he saw a door with a label reading “Bathroom” on it. As he opened the door and entered, he immediately noticed the tap to his side and turned it on. He began drinking, hoping that those strange sensations in his body would stop, however, unfortunately for him, they seemed to amplify by the second, as if ants were crawling all over him. Moreover, he couldn't help but feel that something was slowly changing about him. “Maybe I just need to rest a bit. I probably am just overexcited.”

As Mike left the room and began heading back toward his own, he couldn't help but remark that perhaps his initial judgement of the place had been a bit unfair. 'I may have underestimated the size of this apartment after all.' He thought to himself, as he looked around the hallway. Suddenly, it felt far more spacious than it had before, and Mike could have sworn that he really had remembered it to be smaller just a minute ago. He casually shrugged his shoulders and walked again past the plant that was as tall as he was.

'Wait a moment… I know for sure that it definitely reached at most to my shoulders!' With a feeling of unease, Mike quickly raised his head to look around the room, and he immediately realized that he had certainly lost a substantial amount of height. As a matter of fact, he looked hardly taller than a young teenager at that point. What worried him more, though, was the fact that as he looked around, the room around him kept growing at an alarming rate. For one reason or another, his clothes were at the very least shrinking with him, but this was the least of his worries at that moment. “What the hell is going on?!” He remarked with a sense of terror going through his thoughts. “It must have been that bead… there is no other way. I must quickly get to it and undo my wish. I think I left it on top of the drawer.”

With that said, he quickly began rushing toward his room, but as he drew closer to the door, the hallway seemed to have almost doubled in length. In truth, of course, his body was simply losing height, and each step he made was less effective than the last. While at first, he had barely noticed any changes, it now felt as if he shrank at an ever-increasing rate with every step he took. The already giant hallway kept growing in length as he felt like Achilles unsuccessfully trying to overtake the tortoise. By that point, he was hardly taller compared to a child, and each step barely brought him forward at all.

However, after what felt like an eternal race against the clock, he had finally reached the door to his room. Opening it proved to be problematic though, as by then he couldn't even reach the handle anymore. With a wound-up jump Mike leaped upwards and barely got hold of the handle, as it slowly descended through the now marginal weight of his body.

As he ran inside, he quickly encountered the next problem. “There is no way I can grab the top of my shelf now! Come on; think quickly, what can I do?” He looked around the room in panic and noticed the bed standing right next to the drawer. At that point, he couldn't even reach the top of his bed, but maybe he could hold onto the elastic fabric of the bed sheets and climb up? Well, there was no time to hesitate; he had to try.

With a determined bounce, he barely reached the lower end of his mattress, as he pulled himself upwards. Mike knew he wasn't a good climber, or a climber at all really, but this was his last chance to return things to normal. With great effort, he reached one hand up and held the fabric firmly. He pulled himself up arm after arm, and leg after leg. Looking up he saw his goal stretch away farther and farther, as he kept shrinking to a smaller and smaller height. He had already struggled keeping up with the hallway, but at the pace he could climb, he had no chance of ever reaching the top, as it would just disappear in the distance. He kept on climbing, but despite his best efforts, he couldn't get closer to his goal at all. A few more pulls were then all it took: His muscles could no longer support him, and as he used up his last resources, he simply fainted and fell to the floor.

"Hello?" A booming familiar voice called out. "Anyone in here?" They added. There was a massive sound of a door slamming, big enough to wake up Mike.

Mike shot awake and glanced around. He was still in the dorm, but he was substantially smaller now. He remembered passing out just as he measured around maybe 1 inch, but that was it. There was no question he was much smaller, but he couldn't guess as to how much smaller, he just knew he was tiny based on how high he had to tilt his head to look up at the window. He then turned around, and his jaw dropped. "Oh...my...GOD."

Before Mike stood Tobi, but the most Mike saw when he looked straight ahead was the bare white furry paws with blue paw pads that Tobi had. He even saw the small white claws on each of Tobi's digits. Mike couldn't believe it. He was staring at a simply massive paw of Tobi's. He raised his head and saw the rest of Tobi, who towered over him far larger than any building Mike ever knew. It was as if he was looking into space, and Tobi's head was as far away as the moon.

"I guess he's not here. Huh. He dropped off his suitcase. Maybe he's just checking the place out." The giant dog said. He stretched out one of his paws as he stepped forward.

Mike's eyes widened, but his pupils shrank. The giant paw of Mike quickly cast a shadow over the flea sized human. He knew he had to try to dodge, but Mike's paw was just too big for him to do that. 'I'm right here!' He wanted to shout, but he could only think about it. He ducked his head and covered himself with his arms. Tobi's huge paw came crashing down over Mike's body, and it sounded like a thundering roar to Mike, like a massive building falling on top of a person. He could only hope for a moment that Tobi might feel something was off when he stepped, and that Tobi was soft enough that Mike might survive the impact.

BOOM!

Darkness surrounded Mike. He opened his eyes and glanced around. He could smell the scent of a dog and felt a growing heat around him. 'Is this heaven? Or is this the other place because of that candy bar incident?' He thought to himself in a panic.

"Well, I'll just toss my stuff on the other bed I guess." A muffled voice boomed out.

It was then that Mike realized that Tobi missed him! Mike wasn't crushed underneath his paws; he was so tiny that he squeezed in between two of Tobi's toes. He wasn't sure 'what' paw digits he was in between, but it didn't matter. In a rush of panic, he jumped onto the paw, knowing it would be much safer to be on the paw than it would be to be on the floor. Just as he got onto the paw, he felt himself shrink even more. 'Oh, you've got to be kidding me! I'm already the size of a flea, how much smaller can I get?'

Mike felt himself shrink so much that the pink fur of Tobi's became a massive forest for him. He glanced up again and lost track of Tobi's face. He could hear Tobi shout, but he couldn't make out what Tobi was saying.

'I guess...I got what I wished for?' Mike thought as he held onto the pale skin underneath the massive pink fur. He felt vibrations from the paw he jumped onto, but nothing more. He really was the size of a tiny flea now, and on the paw of his crush, who nearly crushed him in a very literal manner.

Mike was glad that there wasn't an overwhelming smell in the air, but there was a heat. It wasn't unbearable, but it was as if he were in a forest on a warm summer day. He couldn't see anything beyond the fur, and he wasn't sure what he could do to get Tobi to notice that he was stuck down in his paws. Simply put, he felt embarrassed. He got his wish, but he wasn't sure what he was going to do about food or water. He may have been the size of a flea, but that didn't mean he 'was' one. "Man... Tobi..." Mike fell down onto the soft skin of Tobi and let out a soft sigh.

Mike continued to feel vibrations and hear booming voices. It felt as if Tobi became his own world. Part of him wondered if he would fall off, but another part of him said that he was so small that it would be a challenge for that. He decided to try to get Tobi's attention somehow. He spun around and gave Tobi's skin a pinch. "Sorry buddy...but I have to get you to notice me somehow, now more than ever!" He didn't think a pinch would hurt too much.

Mike then waited and waited. He released his pinch and glanced up. He didn't even hear so much as a shout of pain from the dog. 'Did...did he not feel it?' He thought to himself. Even with his tiny size, he swore Tobi 'must' have felt something. Mike gave another pinch to Tobi's skin, followed by another, and then another. He pinched different parts of the skin and pulled at the individual locks of fur that Mike could pull in a desperate attempt to get the dog to know something was off about his paw.

Mike looked up, lost in the sea of fur. He wanted to try to climb up Tobi's body to get to his ears, but he knew the task would be impossible, at least while Tobi stood, or even sat. He just had to wait on his paw, though he felt humiliated in doing so.

Mike felt the large paw shift around slightly, but those were the only movements he felt. He made his way up the paw until he saw the turning point that was Tobi's leg, and then it was just a matter of patience. Tobi had to sleep at some point, and he'd be ready. He decided to try to pinch and pull at Tobi's fur while he waited, at least as much as he could, in hopes of getting his attention sooner.

It soon felt as if it were night for Mike. He picked up a loud whooshing noise. Curiously, he looked up just in time to see a massive paw make its way down to him. Mike wasn't sure if he should be excited, or afraid. His body shook, he felt sweat down his body, and his heart pounded heavily. He watched as the paw tilted down before two large claws scratched idly at the foot Mike was on before the paw pulled away again. Mike could only assume that Tobi had an itch to scratch, and that maybe he created that itch.

Mike watched that paw scratch the giant foot he was on before it pulled away. He couldn't believe the sight. It was as if he was watching such a rare occurrence on the planet, yet this was just an everyday thing for people and anthros alike to do. He ran his hand along the pale skin that was Tobi's, tempted to try to pinch and pull again, but he wasn't sure if he'd be able to get on that giant paw in time, or that it might crush him like Tobi's foot nearly did.

Mike also noticed how much slower Tobi's hand moved to scratch his foot, although he wasn't sure if that was because Tobi moved slowly, or maybe more changed about Mike than he thought.

After some time, time that felt like hours, Mike heard a strange noise coming from up above, a noise that didn't sound like Tobi, but something else. The world around Mike quickly went dark before it lit up again, and while it was hard to see, Mike caught Tobi taking something off and throwing it to the side. 'Was that his pants?' He thought. He barely felt Tobi lift his leg up! He then immediately blushed as he realized 'what' Tobi was doing, not that looking up would have revealed anything anyways. He then felt a rush, and there was another briefer sense of darkness as Tobi removed another article of clothing from his legs, and Mike knew 'exactly' what that was.

He then noticed a giant raindrop that smashed against Tobi's feet. The drop missed Mike, but it was massive compared to Mike's size. Mike then saw another drop, followed by another. There was a growing heat too, and he quickly realized what Tobi was doing. 'He's showering!'

Mike knew how small he was compared to Tobi. The fur on the dog's paws was massive. He heard the water drop all around him, and he could only imagine how big the water would be. Mike grabbed onto one of Tobi's pink fur bits and crawled up on top of it. He was the size of a flea, a tiny pathetic flea. He watched as the pale skin below him took on a shine from the water and rose upwards. Mike climbed up the single bit of fur to the very top and didn't even bend it slightly. 'Just don't scrub your feet. Be lazy.' He was thankful the dog didn't take baths! He couldn't see anything anyways when he looked up. He just felt how hot everything was around him and knew it had to be a shower.

There came a point when the water stopped, and Mike let out a soft sigh. The water below him must have measured six feet deep on the dog's paw, at least six feet from his size. He lowered himself just a bit on the fur, as he knew what was coming next. He could hear it from high up and working its way down.

Swish, swish, swish, swish.

The noise repeated. After the part about washing came drying! Mike was glad the dog didn't lather in shampoo too. He could only imagine what it would have been like to deal with that. He held onto the bit of fur for his dear life and slammed his eyes shut as the dog dried off his paw. He felt as if the entire world lifted into the air, followed by strong breezes to the left, and to the right. He opened his eyes long enough to see a massive pink sheet directly over him, brushing the fur from side to side, and pressing it down hard as it dried off Tobi's paw.

Mike panted heavily. Unable to hold on any more to the single tiny fragment of fur, he let go and dropped onto Tobi's soft skin with a slight splash. Tobi's skin was still a bit wet, but Mike didn't care. He couldn't hold onto his fur forever. Unfortunately, he knew he wasn't going to be able to live at Tobi's feet for the rest of his life. He knew some people would probably kill for that, but he had to find a way to get up Tobi's body and inform him that he was there, somehow. It was just a matter of when.

Mike wasn't sure how much time had passed since he waited on Tobi's feet. He knew he was at the edge of the paw and next to the leg, but he just had to keep on waiting. After what felt like hours, because odds are it 'was' hours before it happened, Mike felt his world shift. He could tell everything around him, at least above the fur was dark, and suddenly, he felt the paw flip ninety degrees. He quickly slid from the paw, onto the leg. Mike immediately knew this was his chance. Tobi must have gone to bed!

Mike began his journey along Tobi's leg, just as complete darkness covered him, likely a blanket over the dog's body. He hadn't heard a single word the dog said, but he was likely so far away from him that he couldn't hear it anyways, but he could feel Tobi's movements if he focused long enough on them. He continued to crawl up Tobi's leg, knowing that he only had so long before the dog woke up and he'd lose whatever progress he made, or worse, he'd fall off Tobi and onto the ground. He may be the size of a flea, but that didn't mean he had the endurance of one!

Mike completely lost track of time as he crawled up Tobi's leg. 'I wish I could just...I don't know. I don't want to fall on the bed or fall off him.' Mike thought to himself. He had no idea how fleas could live on every part of an animal's body, but he was now more curious than ever to learn if he ever got out of this situation. He continued walking, and then he noticed an odd fabric up in front of him.

Mike immediately knew what the fabric was, and blushed. He knew it couldn't have been Tobi's pants. He had been walking for what felt like hours. He was small, but he wasn't so small that he would have just crawled up his ankle!

'I have to go inside of it to get to his ear.' Mike thought to himself. He made his way underneath the fabric and kept as calm as he could. His heart pounded heavily from nervousness and excitement over where exactly he was. He dreamt about being where he was for such a long time, just not as a flea. 'Just don't look at it.' He thought to himself. He had to be strong. He continued to walk up Tobi's body, and then turned so he could center himself on it and get on his belly.

Before Mike got on his belly, he got to the center of his crotch. He didn't look back, but he could feel the warmth inside Tobi's underwear, and the scent of Tobi as well. The scent was unlike any other, and it was almost overpowering thanks to his small size and the location of where he was on his body. He had to have better self-control than this though. 'I almost wish...I almost wish I could live here forever.' He thought to himself. He almost turned around, but he shook his head. 'Focus! You have to get to him before he wakes up!'

Just then, Mike felt a rumble as Tobi got up. Mike was about to hold onto Tobi's fur as if his life depended on it, but even though Tobi very much stood up, and Mike could feel that through his head, he didn't fall. Mike stood there on Tobi's skin perfectly fine, and vertically. Mike had several questions over that, yet he knew they wouldn't be answered by anyone. He could only imagine that Tobi had a strong gravitational pull, at least to Mike. That or maybe Mike's wish came true, again. 'I have got to stop wishing, even mentally.' Mike thought to himself.

It was then Mike wondered if he'd be able to get off Tobi's crotch, since he wished he could live there forever. 'Okay, I wish Tobi knew I was here or something!' He thought in a panic, and yet nothing happened.

Mike let out a sigh as he looked up. He had a long way to go, his legs were tired, and his body was tired. Either Tobi was just sitting down, or Mike was trying all night to get up to him. Either way, he was exhausted. He laid down against Tobi's fur, and quickly fell asleep. He'd figure out how to get up to Tobi's ears, someday. Otherwise, a flea on the god's body that was Tobi didn't feel that bad. Tobi was nice to live on, and for some reason, Mike never got hungry anyways.

Just as Mike fell asleep, he just wished Tobi would acknowledge his existence for once! After all, he was a flea not on his paws anymore, but his crotch!
