I was just hanging around the balcony, hoping to get some fresh air after typing up a storm on my research paper. Relaxing with the breeze and my phone, mindlessly playing some mobile games when suddenly the notification alert from WhatsApp played.
The alert distracted me, making me lose the level. "God damn it, it's 2 AM. Who messages me at this time?!" I sighed, and opened the app. My brows furrowed, "That's weird... That's my own phone number, maybe the app bugged?" I decided to click on it, and saw:
???: "Hey, I'm you."
???: "Yes, from the future."
Me: "Is this a joke?"
???: "No, I know it's weird."
???: "Get inside!"
???: "Lock the balcony door!"
I trembled, and looked around. No one in sight. I decided to look at my room, and confirmed that no one's there.
Me: "This is not funny."
Me: "Are you stalking me?"
???: "No time!!!"
???: "Hurry, or you'll get bit!"
???: "I only have 2 minutes before it happens."
I sighed. "Fine, fine, I'll go inside, whatev- Wait, two minutes? But it's been..."
I felt something wet dripping on my shoulder. I heard growling sounds right behind me, and I turned. A towering beast stood in front of me, drool dripping from its maw.
I just prepared myself for the inevitable, since it was just impossible to run with this predator chasing me. "Well, so much for that, god fucking damn it."
Turns out that changing the past is not that simple after all.
