The Family He Never Had Part 19
What Kenji has heard has him and the others wondering what to do now that Kenji's biological broke out of prison yet the man dressed in black offers advice and options, a better idea is planned instead.
Kenji was still laying on the ground as the news about his biological father was revealed and he was shocked out of his mind. Terk was had him in her arms, hugging him closely to her large body.
"Will he be alright?" asked Kranston curiously.
"This was probably a shock to his system." said Jane looking concern.
"If the man in black has traumatized him, than I'm going to be all she-ape on him." said Terk as she was worried about Kenji but a bit mad at Kranston.
They were all looking at Kenji as they were worried about how he was going to be affected by what he heard from Kranston about his biological father, knowing that this is the last thing he needed right now. Terk had an idea to wake up Kenji.
"Tantor, this is going to be a bit extreme but could you wake the kiddo up by trumpeting your trunk?" asked Terk curiously.
"Is that such a good idea Terk?" said Tantor worried.
"No, but this is a desperate time." said Terk as she was reluctant on the idea.
Tantor knew this was not a good idea as many of the things Terk has done as an idea was always making him nervous but the large male elephant knew this was one of those times that a desperate time called for a desperate measure. Tantor sucked in a lot of air, raised his long and large trunk and suddenly, let out the air from his breath and trumpeted loudly in Kenji's direction to wake him up. It was loud enough to be one of his loudest trumpeting sounds, it made Kenji jerk awake as he was awake now. The trumpeting to Tantor's trunk ended.
"Mother of mercy, what did I miss?" asked Kenji wide awake. "And Tantor, could you maybe make your trumpeting not so loud next time?"
"Sorry Kenji, we didn't know how else to wake you up." said Tantor looking apologetically.
"It's alright Tantor." said Kenji looking understanding.
Terk helped Kenji up to his feet as they both stood up. Kenji turned his attention to Kranston, knowing he's got some questions to ask him.
"How did my biological father break out?" asked Kenji finally.
"There was a prison riot that broke, somehow your dad started a prison riot when we found out he set off a series of knockout grenades, he even found some way to open up all of the cells from a cell block or more, during the riot, your father broke out, at least seven people in the process were killed, four inmates and three guards. What he did was enough to almost bring a whole prison down." explained Kranston grimly as this wasn't easy to tell anyone.
They all were a bit surprised to hear this but for Kenji, he figured that his biological father was capable of something that was very chaotic and violent since he knew what his biological father did to land himself in prison.
"Do they know where he was last seen?" asked Tarzan.
"He was last seen escaping and heading out of the Chinese border by plane, he's probably going to be going to multiple places to confuse people and to shake the authorities off his tail, he may be nuts but he's smart." answered Kranston.
They all knew this was bad. China was still far away from Africa as both Kenji, Jane, Professor Archimedes and Kranston knew but it was still sounding like it was bad.
"This was one of the main reasons to why Kenji's care takers wanted me to come retrieve him, but seeing as you all love him so much, now I wonder if taking Kenji is such a good idea." said Kranston as he was convinced by everyone that Kenji has found a family. "It's up to you guys now on what you think is right."
Kenji knew that being out here could endanger himself or anyone around him now that his biological father broke out and is out there, he really didn't want to live now that he's found a family and love and he really didn't want to endanger anyone or himself. Terk reached out to take hold of Kenji's hand and Kenji himself took hold of Terk's hand.
"I can't leave sir, even if I'm the one he's after or if any of us are in danger. This is my home now and my family is here, along with someone I love." said Kenji proudly. "I'll take my biological father on if I have to, no matter what happens, we take care of own."
"Are you sure?" said Kranston looking a bit concerned on this choice.
"Yes sir, I've made my choice and I'm not changing my mind." said Kenji.
"Alright, but I can't promise that your care takers won't keep their noses out of this." said Kranston now convinced.
They all felt a bit concerned by this but they all agreed that they will take care of their own and each other. Kranston knew that he will be informing Kenji's care takers about this and the care takers back in Japan may not like what they hear but Kenji knew there's got to be a way to convince his care takers in Japan to let him stay where he's at, he didn't know what he would do to convince him as it worried him, but all he knew was that he will do what he can to help his family and friends and they will do the same for him. Kenji knew what he may have to do about his biological father but he knew what he would do wouldn't be easy.
