Chase Pulled Athena up and away from the ledge. Athena's mind was racing tears flowing freely from her eyes all the while. Even though he was grown up now she knew it was him. His scent his touches even that warm look in his eyes. The mere sight of him made her overcome with emotion joy that he was alive, confusion at how he got here, anger that he was putting himself at risk, it took everything the dragoness had to maintain her composer. She had a million questions but she but before she could ask them Chase asked her a question of his own not bothering to notice that Athena was completely naked in front of him while she also had forgotten.

“Are you alright?" He asked.

He had never seen her so badly bruised and burned as much as he wanted to catch up the matter of her health took top priority. Athena shifted to her knees sitting next to him getting a good look. When she last saw him they were both kids he was skinnier and looked frailer from his years of living in solitude. But now He was well toned it was easy to see he kept himself fit he was much taller than he was back then but she was also much larger as well. Standing up he came up to her stomach but she didn't care, she took a breath before speaking softly.

“A bit bruised here and there…nothing I can't handle." She said before hugging him tight.

Chase could feel her trembling as she cried softly.

“I thought you were dead……How did you survive?" She said between sobs.

“It's a Long story" He answered.

Athena let him go wiping tears from her eyes smiling.

“Tell me after we get out of here….You have A LOT of explaining to do" She said.

Fang hit the ground hard beaten and bloody. Ace stalked towards him on all fours his fur bristled he was far more injured than Fang. Fang sat up his tails lashing in anger. He hated tiger wolves because of their savage gene. When he first joined the skull hunters he came across a tiger wolf, a male far bigger and stronger than Ace and even Koga. Fang in his arrogance picked a fight with this tiger wolf and the male ripped off both off both of his tails at the base as well as tearing off his left arm at the shoulder as well as his right eye that was just a warning. Fang swore he would kill that male. However now he was almost at his limit he has no choice. The only way he could win this now was to kill Athena but he had to get away from Ace first. Ace pounces on fang sinking his teeth into the kitsune's throat with a savage growl. Fang screamed out in agony before laughing.

“Got you now you BASTARD!!" he sneered.

Fang ripped opened his shirt revealing a bomb on his chest. The device gave off a blinding light a huge explosion followed shaking the whole area. When the smoke cleared Ace was under a pile of fallen trees and debris he was hurt badly but still breathing, Fang was nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile Jet stood in the forest panting and bleeding his ears pinned against his head. Two of the three raptors lunged at him, Jet responded in kind by kicking one of them hard in the skull taking off the creature's head with ease. Black blood sprays as the beast's body hit the ground in a heap a pool of blood forming under it. Jet then used the moment from the first kick to bring down the second raptor driving his foot down onto its skull crushing it instantly under foot. Like with the other a pool of black blood formed under the corpse. He has managed to destroy all of the raptors except for one. The last remaining one seemed it display intelligence and reasoning. Jet lunges at it with a growl the raptor ducked avoiding a slash before jerking its hips to the side its tail colliding with his ribs.

The cheetah yowl feeling his ribs breaks hitting the ground in a heap. He quickly jumped to his feet breaking out into a full run, like all cheetah he was gifted with that famous agility however raptors were no strangers to speed. The beast ran after jet keeping up with him. Jet began to jump from tree to tree trying to get a vantage point. After a while he landed at a branch looking around the raptor was nowhere to be found. He looks around slowly his ears perked listening for the slightest sound. He could hear his heart pounding in his chest. He was at a disadvantage, his opponent had the home field advantage and knew the terrain better than he did a fact the raptor was well aware of. Jet knew if he made a mistake even a small one it would be the end of him, Jet pulls out his pistol slowly. He preferred to use his own fists against an unarmed opponent but the situation was desperate.

A small movement caught his eye and he opened fire. The raptor dodged each shot before pouncing on jet digging its claws deep into his body armor. Jet drove his knee the creature knocking it off before he jumped to his feet only for the raptor to head butt knocking him over again Jet rolls onto his stomach to dash off on all fours but the raptor was 3 steps ahead him. The raptor jumps onto his back. The beast snarled sinking its massive sickle toe claw into his back making the cheetah scream in agony.

Jet felt that razor sharp claw sink into his flesh every move he made was met with a sever shot of pain. Soon a Gunshot rang out grabbing both their attention. The raptor eyes this new intruder pulling its claw from Jets back turning to face him Jaden walked in calmly. He was wearing a long cloak that covers most of his body hiding the new armor he wore underneath. He drew his new ion pistol taking aim. He shot at the raptor again the dinosaur managed to dodge the first shot but the second hit it in the leg making causing it to groan. Jaden holstered his weapon and pulled out an ion grenade watching. The raptor growled eyeing him confused having never seen a human before. It crouched low before pouncing but Jaden was ready he set off the grenade and throw it before taking out his pistol and firing a single shot. His shot hit its mark causing the grenade it to explode in midair making it impossible for the raptor to dodge. The raptor screeched as it was incinerated in the blast leaving just in the wind. Jet shielded his eyes. When the dust clears he sat up weakly.

“I do not know who you are stranger….but thanks" Jet said.

Jaden isn't say anything. He walks over and put Jets arm around his shoulder lifting him up. The cheetah was surprised but given his current position if this stranger was a threat he couldn't fight him off not now. The two walks through the trees where till they arrived a t a beautiful meadow. The grass was golden waving in the breeze and grew as far as the eye can see.

“This is the rendezvous point." Jaden said breaking the silence

“I see so you're a human." Jet said as he saw Kiyo keeps watching with Flora.

“You've never seen humans before?" Jaden asked.

Jet shook his head. He like many cheetah after the war fled to a planet under the protection of the war lord Lamia, She was a fair ruler and treated the cheetah well though she did have a habit of eating their cubs. However when Kira met his end he like all the other furs heard the stories of humans furs and reptoids working together to bring the tyrant down. Jaden got Jet to the camp where flora proceeded to bandage him up.

“He's late…" Kiyo said

“Do you want me to go look for him?" Flora asked.

“Chase can handle this alone." Jaden said crossing his arms as he looked over the horizon his long cloak flowing in the wind.

Chase allowed Athena to lean against him as they looked for a way down given the side difference it looked more like Athena as using him as a cane. The mountain was steep in Athena's condition she couldn't climb. She feared that if they were attacked again she couldn't protect him.

“Chase…I'll only slow you down." Athena began to say but Chase cut her off.

“You didn't leave me on in Kira's clutches on earth I am NOT leaving you here!" He shot back.

Athena marveled at his armor. It was definably Draconian armor the symbol on the shoulder told her it was from her grandfather Odin, the armor looked like something out of a Tron movie except for the large katana on his back but all in all Chase looked great in black. But one question still bothered her. What did Odin get in return? Sora and Luna hated each other in fact Odin swore death on every tiger wolf especially Ace. Odin wouldn't aide them without expecting something in return. Chase knew it was reckless but they had to climb down the side however he lacked the proper climbing gear.

“Hang on tight." Chase said pulling Athena against him tightly.

Before she could ask why Chase jumped over the edge. Athena screamed as the plummeted Chase used his free hand to draw his sword. With a powerful thrust he jammed the blade into the rock as they fell to slow down their decent. The blade dug deep into the mountain aside as they slowed a great deal but they were still falling fast. After a few minutes of sliding Chase spotted some trees.

“Brace yourself Athena!" Chase said before pushing off the cliff landing in the brush. They hit the ground hard but the trees buffered the fall. Athena groaned and sat up shaking her head. Chase was right next to her flat on his back with a cheeky grin.

“Well that wasn't so bad right?" he said.

Athena scowled at him for a moment before her frown turned into a grin. She began to laugh falling on her back. Chase always did know how to make her laugh but more than anything she was just happy to be free. However soon she stopped as she came to a realization. She began covering herself up, slipping her tail between her legs to cover her sex, crossing her arms over her breasts. Only now did she remember she was still naked. She didn't want Chase to see her in such a pathetic state. Chase quickly looked away not wanting to embarrass her further. He began to take off his armor dropping the chest piece on the ground before taking off his shirt. Athena eyes widened before she covered her muzzle as she looked at the massive scar on his back she has seen scars like that many times before. Being a doctor she was very familiar with them. She knew stab wounds when she saw them and was quite used to seeing them on people but seeing one on Chase knowing someone had harmed him so badly was a lot for her to handle. Part of her felt responsible for it even though it wasn't her fault. Chase handed her his shirt.

“Here so you can cover yourself." Chase said

His shirt was much too small to fit her but she made do tying it around her chest turning it into a makeshift sports bra. It didn't leave much to the imagination but it was better than nothing. The feel a quake and look up at the mountain.

“What's going on up there?" Chase asked

“Mom sent a rescue party; whoever she sent is giving the skull hunter a run for their money." Athena answered.

Chase looked at the steep ledge there was no way he would be able to climb back up to help.

Up on the upper levels of the base Taya and Asami catch their breath.

“We got him…" Taya said.

“THINK AGAIN!" Hiro said bursting from the rubble. His robe was in tatters showing off his whole torso the thin but well-muscled build. With the top half of the robe destroyed

The kitsune growled planting his paws on the ground he began to transform. Tail thrashing his eyes glows bright red before a large wave of blue fire engulfed him. It was so bright Taya and Asami were forced to shield their eyes. When the smoke cleared what stood before Tayuya and Asami was a fennec fox the size of a Shetland pony. He snarled baring his fangs before letting loose a roar shaking the whole area. His fur was a dark orange black markings around his eyes his claws dug into the floor his fur bristling. Taya's eyes widened as she took a step back.

“Now you see his true face….Kitsune that are overcome with hatred and anger…eventually become corrupted by darkness…and turn into beasts." Asami said drawing her sword

“Over come with hate?" Taya asked

“Yes…Kitsune…are highly sensitive their environment. Their nature is determined by how they are treated and the environment they live in. Put a kitsune is positive environment and treat them with kindness and respect you will earn their loyalty…however put them in a negative environment where they're treated poorly the opposite happens…Kitsune wills stop at nothing to help and protect those who have earned their trust…but they will also stop at nothing eliminate those who have earned their ire." Asami said

It was no secret that when he was young Hiroshi despised his mother's side of the family. It was heavily frowned upon for kitsune to have romantic relationships with others outside their race. It was also no secret that Kitsune who dared marry outside their race were considered social outcasts, offspring that were born from such unions even more so. Not all kitsune clans shared such narrow minded views but Hiroshi's clan did. He was constantly looked down upon by other of his kin causing him to despise his mother for not being a pure blooded kitsune. She was later murdered by a jealous ex, his father fought to defend her and managed to slay the murdering ex but as a result he was put on death row. That incident is what motivated Hiroshi to run away from home and join the skull hunters. Asami blamed herself for how Hiroshi turned out. She did her best to raise him to be a decent person but she had failed him. She decided long ago after he joined the skull hunters that if their paths ever met again she would kill him.

“It's been a long time. Since anyone has forced me into taking on this form. Asami you don't like this plot twist?" Hiroshi said with a growl.

“What I don't like is seeing the man whom I raised from a cub turning into a monster!" Asami shot back.

Taya eye shifted slowly pulling out a hidden side arm. She pulls out a single black bullet. It was a bullet Asami gave her.

*FLASH BACK*

Taya was loading her pistols and gathering her ammunition. Asami saw this and saw the other had gone and she approached the poodle.

“Tayuya may I have a word with you in private?" Asami asked.

“Alright ma'am. Taya answered following her.

One Asami was sure they were alone she pulls out a black bullet with a purple tip. It was roughly an inch long.

“What is this?" Taya asked

“A special bullet I made when I learned Hiroshi joined the skull hunters. It's contains a highly potent Toxin that is guaranteed to kill him in a single shot but I was only able to make one of these so if it comes to that I want you to take the shot but you only get one so make it count." Asami answered.

*END OF FLASH BACK*

Taya loaded it into his pistol and took careful aim. Aasami kept jumping back as Hiroshi slashed and snapped at her. The Tod fangs and claws were so sharp they cut the stones around them with great ease. She manages to get some distance only to notice her robe was cut in several places. She looked at her arm seeing that her grandson had cut more than just her cloths, as she felt some pain blood dripping down her wrist. She looked back up and barely managed doge a blast of white fire. Hiroshi opens his mouth again spitting another shot. He saw Taya taking aim at him from the corner of his eye and blasted at her next. The blast hit its mark sending Taya crashing into ground. She reached for the pistol but Hiroshi swatted it away far from her reach. He growls licking his lips giving the poodle a good look at his fangs. Taya tried to get up but Hiroshi stepped on her head holding her head down. His lips curled up giving her a good look at his fangs.

“I think it's time we put an end to this performance…and DROP THE CURTAIN" Hiroshi growled.

He opens his maw wide leaning his head down intend on biting Taya head clean off when a gunshot rang off. Hiroshi lifted off of Taya hitting the ground next to her. Revering to his anthro form blow poured from his side as he looked over to see Asami holding the pistol. Hiroshi stood up holding his side before falling backwards slumping against a wall breathing heavily. Asami fell to her knee panting.

“You called me a monster…..Tell me grandmother when did you become senile that you do not realize you're fighting for the wrong side? You both are so blind is pathetic." Hiroshi said.

“Shut up! AFTER ALL OF THE TERRIBLE THINGS YOU HAVE DONE YOU DARE TRY TO LECTURE US!? YOU KILLED TENS OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR THE FUN OF IT! YOU ARE A MONSTER!" Taya shouted.

“Now is that anyway for a solider to talk? Of course I wouldn't expect a privileged poodle like you to understand, Your mother was next in line to be a warlord of the Stars wealth so of course I am sure you were probably one of the richest families in that blasted city. So let me tell you the truth about the people you so eager fight for and ready to die for…. The town you lived in when I killed your mother…you came from wealthy background….you like many others in that damn city were born with a silver spoon in your muzzle, you never wanted for anything, you never needed anything…You had everything handed to you…Unlike the rest of us…who could barely make enough money to live….a bad day for me was going hungry running the risk of starving to death….a bad day for you would be something trivial like trying to style your hair…. You lived without a care or worry in the world getting fat while the rest of us lived on crumbs. I watched many people die of starvation thirst or illness in those very streets…but people like you did nothing. They were there were too important to care about our strife and suffering. However wealthy people knew nothing of that because you were too busy counting your money…My father worked hard his whole live and married my mother eventually I came along but my mother had a bitter ex-boyfriend who used to rape and beat her daily…simply because she wasn't a pure blooded kitsune like he was, many times law enforcement was called but he was never arrested or even charged in fact there was even no record of them ever being there at all. Because like you he came from a very wealthy family….So it was no surprise that all he had to do as take out his check book and all those incidents were swept under the rug. Eventually he grew emboldened and attacked my mother killing her. My father tried to save her and ended up killing the bastard in self-defense. But it was no surprise my father was executed for murder…and all the witnesses were paid to keep their mouths shut… but the corruption goes far deeper than that. The rich rule everyone and can get away with everything if they have enough paper in their wallets….My mother was brutally murdered in plain sight and no one cared because she was poor….People say it was an isolated incident but I can assure you there have been many. The rich care nothing for the rest of the world we are insects to them. During the war with Kira while males and females were fighting and dying on the battle field to make sure people like them were safe all they cared about was if the war would affect their profits and trade routes…Now they don't want to live near reptoids or middle class furs because they don't want to bring down their “property values" Or ruin their imaged by being seen living among commoners. There is no end to their avarice ...you may beaten me but I still have a small piece of advice for you...I want to you think about this very careful… who are the REAL monster here? You……may be….surprised……what you…earn……"Hiroshi said with his final breath.

His body went limp as the life faded rum his eyes. Asami walked over and closed his eyes her ears lowered. Despite all that had happened she still loved Hiroshi and putting him down was one of the most painful things she had ever had to do. She then helped Taya up the two limp out of the base. The kitsune's word still bothered Taya, he was a terrorist yes but he wasn't wrong about the people. She did come from a wealthy she used to be very spoiled as a child but when she lost her mother she realized just how immature she was. Hiroshi was right and that angered her more. However it didn't make it alright to murder all the people he did.

“He was right ya know…..when I was little I had everything given to me….the rest of the world suffered from corruption and all I cared about what how was going to style my hair or when I was going to get the next newest toy…It wasn't till mom died that I learned that it's a huge world out there." Taya said.

“Wisdom cannot always be granted, it must be earned sometimes at a cost. Your mother would be proud of the woman you have become." Asami said as she limps out with Taya.

The two made their way down to lower levels. They checked each cell before Taya spotted the frozen blood shards. Taya sniffed the air picking up the scent of Athena's blood. She and Asami followed Athena trail to the edge of the cliff.

“Did she go over the edge?" Asami asked.

Taya sniffed and picked up a scent a very familiar one, the scent of a human. She looked to and saw the see gash in the side of the ledge.

“She had help. I am picking up the scent of a human, they went down the ledge. "Taya answered

“We had better climb down then…" Asami said taking out her grabbling hook.

Taya followed suit as the slowly climbed down the ledge.

Chase and Athena kept walking Athena keeping her tail between her legs to cover herself. Chase walked ahead of her sensing her discomfort. She quickly picked up a familiar scent. It was Ace. She quickly rushes into some bushes following his cent Chase following close behind. Soon Athena stopped seeing Ace under the tree she quickly lifted them throwing them off pressing a finger to his neck looking for a pulse. She let out a sign of relief when she found he was still alive. She carefully picks Ace up and walked over to Chase.

“He is alive but needs help." She told Chase.

“Alright, Kiyo and the others must have set up a base camp, this way." Chase said pointing north

“We should rest for a bit if there is a river nearby, I can heal him." Athena said.

Athena when through Ace's pack and found a map of the area there was a river close by. She and Chase made their way to the bank. Athena slipped in the water her paws glowing. She drank for a long time before letting out a sigh of relief feeling the cool waters wash over her. She waved her glowing paws and the water lifted in long stream coiling around her form. Chase stared in awe. He always loved it when she used her abilities. Slowly her cuts and bruises healed as she regained strength tendrils made of water soon reached out to ace healing him. Ace groaned a bit. He was healed but he still had to get medical help. Ace began to wake up. Athena walked over slowly looking him over.

“Uhhhh, Where am I?" Ace asked looking around. He saw Chase sitting next to him. He didn't recognize him at first but after getting his scent he knew who he was. His tail wagged a bit.

“It's been a while Ace." Chase said.

“Now I know I am getting old. Last time I saw you, you weren't even old enough to drive." Ace said wincing.

“You need to be still dad. I was only able to give you a patch job." Athena said making her way back to shore.

Let me signal the others." he reaches over weakly pressing a few buttons on his wrist band sending out a signal.

Jet looked at his wrist band as it beeped as flora carefully cleaned the wounds on his back. Jet jumps up suddenly cheering. Flora growled as it wasn't the first time Jet moved while she was treating him and it was beginning to wear on the dragon's nerves. Getting a cheetah to stay still was next to impossible.

“THEY DID IT! PRINCESS ATHENA WAS RESCUED!" He cried joyfully.

“HOLD STILL!" She growled.

His joy was short lived however, pain shot through his body causing his tail to triple in size, as every single fur on it stood up on end the cheetah cried out fall back down at Flora's feet.

“I TOLD YOU TO HOLD STILL!" She fumed.

She grumbled and knelt next to him and began to resume applying Jet's stitches. The cheetah hissed in as the needle went in and out of his skin. She looked over his shoulder seeing the messages narrowing her eyes a small scowl appearing on her muzzle
