Part 9 : Revelation

-Back in Hell Bethany was still training herself, centuries without practise had left her rusty and weak, at least compared to how she once was. One of Beelzebub's generals was her training partner for the time being, twice now the demon had almost dislocated her shoulder and almost shattered one of her other limbs-

-She staggered back and grimaced- ... I'm far too out of shape. -she thought aloud- ... -she looked to her arm and tried to force the healing process to speed up before the general was upon her already, she defended herself with her other arm best she could as the other healed. To the side Sky had finally returned from the mortal realm, resting his elbows on a railing he cheered on the demoness- Come on Beth! -she turned her head, not noticing him- What? -the general caught her off guard delivering a solid punch to the side of her face sending her skidding across the ground-

Sky blinked then rushed over- Time out!! -he skidded to a stop by Beth's side- Uhh... you okay?..-she groaned while she lay on the floor- Yes ... as soon as the pain stops, I'll be pain. -he knelt down to pick her up- easy now......You'll be pain alright…-Beth groaned-Uhhhh ... some demon lord I am or uh was oui? -she asked then grimaced, immediately regretting it-Well you've been out of the loop for a while so..-gently he guided her to a bench to sit down- Uh ... thank you. -she moved her jaw with her hand and then bit down hard causing the joint to crack- You demon are a tough bunch..-he sat by her side as she recovered-

We have to be. Hell is a tough place -she looked around- though honestly it used to be much tougher, likely is in some areas like Mephistopheles' kingdom, or say Ba'al's. -Sky nodded then finally mentioned it-..Where is hell's "desert" by the way?...-Beth adjusted herself in her seat -Oh it's just a term. -she replied while rubbing her jaw- most of Hell is a "desert"-he nodded slowly- oh...-shrugging he leaned back crossing his arms-

a few littered damned souls here and there being tortured, or lost souls, or uh stuff someone like you really wouldn't wanna see.-Sky nodded slowly- and she trains there huh? Jeeze .-she snorted-Many of us did, where else would we train?-she pointed towards the city- That used to be so less than what it once was Sky, little more than desert at one point, with a few scavenging demons staying together, ruled by an uncaring monster. Beelzebub may be evil, but she had enough heart to care for her subjects, through her the city became what it is today.

Sky nodded slowly- Well then...-he blinked then chuckled- no...that would be so simple of an answer...-she looked at him- what? -Sky shrugged- Lucifer, or Oggstrosse hiding in the dessert.-she looked to him- Maybe, with Lucifer one of the other demon lords may even be hiding him. Oggstrosse, well perhaps. It would still be way too obvious...

That's not always a bad thing Sky. -she rolled her jaw the other way, causing it to crack once more, the pain dulled- It is why Beelzebub has been paranoid as of late. The other lords could be willing to help Lucifer, he does not threaten their kingdoms as Oggstrosse does. The Arch Demon took control of all of Hell. If he were to rise to power again he would likely do so once more. -Sky blinked- You don't think she's looking on her own do you?

I don't know, mentioning it now it wouldn't surprise me, but what would she do? She's in no state to fight either of our enemies -he nodded- Point taken...-Sky sighed then glanced over noticing something that looked like a Scarecrow, only it was B-mans uniform-...oh...just incase huh?..

Yeah.. just in case. That ... monster form of Beelzebub's it's ... it's so powerful, and yet its so savage, it reminds me of Beelzebub when she was younger, not feral but that tenacity, savagery.-Finally Sky voiced his thoughts- I don't think we can do this playing it safe...-he looked back to Beth- She forced her way into his mind, B did injure Lucifer with Go-No Ken...-he blinked realizing- err the Negative energy...-she shuddered- Dangerous stuff. Only a few demons can do it, and believe me when I say most that do, don't like to. it just feels ... wrong. -she looked at him- You know what I mean?

Sky nodded in understanding- yet how could B pull it off and not be hurt as badly? I guess it's "bastardized' as well...-she stood up-... a diluted variant maybe? but regardless. I've done my research, called in a few favours, found out more about the ArchDemon. -Sky blinked- Oh? what's going on?-Beth continued- A lot of trivia, but one thing that was mentioned was the adverse effects of Oggstrosse's signature energy, the whole Negative energy originated from Oggstrosse, no one else recalls it before he existed.-Sky nodded slowly-Right…his "creation" led to it...

-she nodded- something like that I guess. Not even Lucifer can do it, nor my father. Beelzebub can tap into it. -she shook her head- it's ... well, let me show you something.-Sky blinked- wait a minute, she knew of this energy all along? -Beth nodded- We all have, we're the ones who coined the term. We just didn't know it ... it had a master-Sky chuckled- well then........"negative energy".... "Go-No-Ken"...-Beth rubbed her chin for a moment, then came to a decision- Come with me, I have to show you something, This may take some flying.-Sky shrugged slightly- where are we going? -he looked up and called for B-man's flying cloud Omega-

To a place no demon dare venture, not even the feral ones. Few go there looking for power, most end up worse than dead -Sky rolled his eyes- great...let's hope I don't die.-she shifted into her true demonic shape again, her wings unfolding behind her and she took off-Just don't touch it, and you may not.-Seconds later the blue cloud came to a stop in front of Sky, slowly he stepped up onto the nimbus then began to follow -It's quite far! -she called to him- No one was willing to say what happened there, but Oggstrosse was definitely there.

Oh joy! First a place where non dare go, then a possibility we might run into Oggstrosse or Lucifer.!-She thought for a moment- Lucifer? not likely. Oggstrosse ... -she paused- .... perhaps.-it seemed like forever, like they'd covered miles, in Hell time and distance were ... messy, but eventually Baphomet began to fly lower, Sky wiped a bit of sweat from his brow as it started to form as they slowed down, already he would feel it, as did she. A sense of "wrongness" unlike that of Hell itself. Deeper, darker, older.- You can feel it, can't you?

Sky hissed- You don't think Beelzebub would try and train here as well do you? -Beth blinked-Try? -She corrected him- She has .... we have ...-Sky shook his head - I mean in her weakened state.-they were climbing a hellish landscape then motioned for him to follow- Come and look.-she stood a top of the hill and gazed out to the horizon, he soon joined her and surveyed the landscape-

-Before him was an all new type of hell. The ground itself was black and white, arcs of powers skittered across the ground. Littered across the ground were husks, demon corpses frozen in place, rotten and contorted, some were reduced to nothing but skeletons, skulls, ribs and shattered bones lay across the landscape.- Welcome to Corruption.-Sky blinked realizing he had seen something like this-...when B-man fought the generals ...that must have been the start of how this happened...at the mansion

No Sky-she pointed to it- this has been here for centuries, The whole place is teeming with that corrupting power.-Sky shook his head- No no, I mean what happened at the mansion…-he shook his head once more-Oh forget it...-she blinked as she slipped into her french accent- Oh! oui, oui I get what you mean, the generals trying to make their own uh ... this?-Sky shrugged- when we examined the area before we left to check on B-man we...-he trailed off and blinked, stopping in mid sentence- Wait... is that someone down there? -he pointed to a figure walking along the area as if was nothing-

-Baphomet turned around and looked- Whomever they are are either powerful or foolish. To walk into the field is to invite that corruption into your body. You can survive only so long among it before it starts taking hold of you. -Sky grimaced internally then realized who it was as the figure grew near- it's that Panthress... oh god…-Sky jumped to take cover, Bleth stood in the open blinking- What Panthress? -He motioned for her to take cover- The generals made a female version of Oggstrosse, and like a moron I let her go..

-she took cover but looked at him in shock- They did what? -she whispered while Sky peaked from his cover- they made a female copy of Oggstrosse, she was fighting for them like one of their weapons... B got her out of the mansion, but I didn't really keep an eye on her after the fight-she grimaced- Fools ... to what end? -she blinked- treachery, they're going to betray Oggstrosse -Sky shrugged then questioned aloud-Has she just been here the whole time since she vanished a few months ago? -he glanced around the corner again-...she's ..gone? -He blinked as two legs appeared in front of him- SHIT! -he jerked back almost bumping into Beth-

-Beth roared out in a deep toned goatish bleat in defense as she gazed up to the Panthress, Sky composed himself then tried to put some charm into his voice- Long time no see...-The Panthress glared at the two of them, she herself had not yet fully healed, fighting these two together would prove a problem- ... what are you doing here?-Sky slowly got to his feet- Looking for something actually...then we found you...-he blinked once more- you can speak?..-she snarled at him- What made you think I couldn't?

Well, you did try to kill my friend. Plus you didn't stick around after the fight. -The Panthress glared at Sky-And you let me go, despite my weakened state -Baphomet growled at Sky-You did what?-Sky nodded slowly stiffening slightly-...yes...yes I did let you go. -he looked back to Beth- She didn't ask to be a "weapon" alright?...sorry for having a strange sense of conscious, it's what B would have done...as much as you feel I harp on about it.. -The Panthress snorted- Had tables been turned I'd have shown you no mercy. -she crossed her arms- ...

Sky growled- Enough already...just go back to what you were doing.. technically you are free are you not?...or are you waiting for Oggstrosse or something?-she scoffed- My masters want my presence unknown to him - Sky Growled- How is that possible? Your Masters we're vaporized by my friend. -The Panthress glared at Sky as if he was nothing more an an imbecile-No, they still live-Sky blinked then stiffened-After a blast like that?

-The Panthress continued- Weakened and broken, but regenerating. This corruptive power, it took the brunt of the attack, though most of their bodies were destroyed, there was enough left to heal.-Sky looked at Beth- Come on, we'd better find Beelzebub and warn everyone else. -he paused - wait if they are alive...-his eyes widened- that "thing" they turned into was obsessed with killing Brandon. -the Panthress snorted- ... as if my masters weren't already wanting to kill him. -Beth glared at the Panthress- We can't just leave it here

Sky Hissed- she's the least of our troubles.-Beth stepped forward- This place will not heal your wounds ...-ThePanthress growled- You stay out of my business. Now Go ... I'll let you leave, this makes us even. -Beth snarled and took off flying- Damn it.-Sky looked back at her- You don't owe them anything...-he looked to the cloud and stepped on- someone's going to have my head for this -not a second passed as Sky arced Omega then shot off back to the mansion-

This is bad. -Beth commented aloud in flight-Sky didn't reply as he focused on what was in front of him, The pair arrived at the mansion just as Beelzebub was stepping out of the front doors. She looked at the two- Where have you been?-Sky stepped off the cloud slowly, then glanced to Beth- shall I tell her? or you? -Beth groaned and walked off into the mansion-You can. I have a headache.

Belle looked between the pair-Tell me what?-Sky turned and started to tell her what had happened with meeting the Panthress, all the while leaning back on the nimbus cloud for a quick get away, Beelzebub looked to the ground- ... so Khalzirak and Malfross still live. Damn it. The Panthress however -she looked at Sky- .... you let her go?-Sky nodded slowly- she is the least of our troubles...besides she wouldn't willing help us as it is…-Belle nodded then paused for a long moment as she came to a decision- We need sage help

Baphomet questioned- Who can we ask though?-Beelzebub looked to her- You know whom.-Baphomet thought for a moment then groaned with a roll of her eyes- Oh no, not them- Sky sighed- Guess I'll leave you two to it? -Sky turned around to head to his room to get his training gear ready but Beelzebub held her hand up to stop him- Nope, you're coming with us You're different, they may like different. Might make them more talkative-Sky blinked standing normally now, his face expressionless- What are you talking about?

Baphomet explained- We're going to The Temple of Thought -Beelzebub nodded then turned for the door- We need to leave, now.-Sky nodded slowly- okay then... flight? teleporting?-Baphomet and Beelzebub unfurled their wings-Flight, they have incredibly powerful magical barriers. -Sky sighed then slipping back onto Omega and got ready to follow, the two demons took off flying. The flight was long, longer than to the Corruption. Finally Sky saw a tall spire erected high, at the base of it were a cluster of buildings along with a larger one where the spire came from, Beelzebub shouted over the wind- We're here!

Sky rubbed his eyes slightly as the area was making them water- great..this just keeps getting weirder and weirder -he glanced over as Omega started to follow Beelzebub down to land, A small band of demons looked upon them as they came down to land, each one dressed in what could be described as a sort of "infernal robe"-Sky looked around the area as they came, slowly he stepped off the cloud as Beelzebub stepped forward- We would see your leaders.

One demon stepped forward. He had a canine appearance to him despite his horns and demonic black eyes- They have been expecting you Lord Beelzebub.-Sky blinked but kept his mouth shut while Beelzebub asked- But will they talk? -the Canid-Demon spoke from it's cloak- I could not tell you. -he looked to Sky- your Neko reeks of angel.-Beelzebub nodded- He is ... uh was an angel. -Sky resisted the urge to sigh but kept his composure-

-The canid demon shrugged- You know the way Lord Beelzebub.-the demons parted allowing the group of visitors to travel further, Sky leaned in slightly and asked- So, who are we exactly going to see? The apparently already knows you are coming...-Beelzebub looked to Sky- A high majority of demons don't have mind based abilities, These demons were among the first pure breed demons to gain psychic abilities, Lucifer doesn't count as he was an angel, He and other angels have psychic abilities.

Baphomet spoke matter of fact- You should know this. -she looked at Sky who nodded slowly listening- I do wonder at times what set him off....I mean I know the jest of it....but still, what keeps one person sane and the other to go off the deep end.-Baphomet then asked as they followed Beelzebub- You know Lucifer?-Sky shook his head- First time I heard of him until a few months back to be honest...-she nodded- The story of Lucifer is not an unknown one, unlike Oggstrosse.

The thing though Sky ... he's not insane. -she shook her head- He's very much sane.-Baphomet shook her head and paused as Beelzebub opened the large doors leading into the monastery, Sky sighed- and my friend my caught in the crossfire -he looked up at the large doors- ladies first -he motioned with his right hand, Beelzebub continued onwards. The room they entered was large, with seven seats in the middle all facing one another in a circle- They'll be in their favourite little room, Sky took in the sights as they walked further into the room-

Baphomet nodded in agreement to Beelzebub then looked back to Sky- After humanity was created as a simple ape, the one greater God, whom we now know as Devidra, asked angels to look out for them, guide them and aid them. Lucifer hated the idea, he saw himself and the other angels as beings too great to "serve" something he deemed as inferior, so he rebelled, as did a legion of other angels, And well it ended in Lucifer being cast down here.

Sky nodded slowly- This is just seeming more and more hopeless...-Beelzebub led them to a door, she placed a hand on the door- They're in here. -she looked to Sky- You got anything interesting on you?-Sky blinked - uhhhh what's that supposed to mean? -he looked at himself then checked his pockets- uhhh not at all really....why? -he paused then pulled out a small vile, some of the mystic water he had found at B-mans dojo- only this...-Beelzebub thought for a moment then nodded-... that may do. -she opened the door- You know I'm here! -she called out-

-There were seven figures dressed in robes with hoods over their heads, sitting a circle quietly, then each demon spoke a single sentence but it was strung together so perfectly Sky thought it was just a single demon speaking through a series of afterimages- We know why you have come Beelzebub. -Spoke one demon then another picked it up instantly- We know what it is you seek.-Once again another demon spoke- Or rather whom you seek

Sky glanced at Beelzebub then over to Beth once more before they slowly entered in as a group, The figures then rose, hovering offer the ground and floated towards them- Recall you have no dominion over us

-Beelzebub kept her composure- I recall your teachings and your blessings.-Another demon in the group spoke- They have served you well, our student.-Sky glanced over to Beelzebub slightly- student? - the seventh demon spoke- You know we do not and can not give information freely.-Beelzebub glanced at Sky- How do you think I got psychic abilities? -Baphomet spoke up quickly before another Sage spoke- Me too -she nodded once more as Sky thought- Now I know how Brandon feels around these two...nothing should surprise me anymore…

_-_Beelzebub then spoke- I know, Which is why I have had an angel bring you something for the mortal realm.-the figures turned to Sky in unison, their faces hidden by the shadows of their hoods, Sky slowly brought up the small vile- It's some the very last Mystic Water, it is what returned my mortality for now...-the vial floated from Sky's grasp and floated to one of the figures. It opened and the mystic waters were pulled out, simply floating before them all. The figures looked to one another, then back to Sky, the first demon in the group spoke- It will suffice. -the water floated back into the vial and was sealed once more-

-The figures hands extended from their long sleeves, they reached up to their hoods and pulled them down. Each one heavily resembled Malfross, Sky blinked- what in? .....of course....it had to be...-he glanced to Beelzebub- no wonder you knew how to fight him.-Beelzebub nodded as she looked at the first figure as it spoke- Brother Malfross turned from us and our sacred pact. -The fourth in the group spoke picked up where the first left off- He defiled his promise. -The third continued- But is so very strong. -The sixth spoke- We needed a pupil whom had great potential.

Beelzebub's scaled brow twitched- Explains why you trained me. -The second spoke- We knew he and his master would one day return. It was never a question of if, but when. -The Seventh continued- Something as evil as the ArchDemon never stays dead. -the Fifth spoke but it had a different tone of voice-Nor imprisoned.-Sky stiffened his back slightly wondering just what his fate would be, given the powerful beings in front of him being able to such a feat so easily, but then he quash any thoughts -

The entire group then spoke as one- We cannot locate our brother, this however means the ArchDemon is close to his generals. However we have sensed a whisper of Lucifer and The Succubus Freya.-Sky glanced to Beth- Freya? after all this time?-Beth scowled as Beelzebub spoke- Let me guess, one item in exchange for one of their locations?-the demons nodded but Beelzebub had to ask- Can you not allow us the two, for the sake of this world?

The demons looked like they were about to speak, then closed their mouths and looked to one another before the first demon spoke-We will need something in return at a later date.-Beelzebub raised a brow- ... what do you want? -The fifth of the group spoke- That is for you to suggest to us Lord Beelzebub.-she looked to her two allies- Anyone got any ideas of interesting gifts?-Sky shook his head slightly- no idea whatsoever...this is out of my league Beelzebub...-he glanced over at Beth- Unless you could give them a full wardrobe or something.-Baphomet rolled her eyes- Do they look like they wear many differing outfits?

-The sixth demon spoke-: We do not. -Beelzebub poised another question- You wouldn't accept a boon or anything would you?-the third of the group replied- For what would we need a devil's favor?-The trio of Sky, Baphomet and Beelzebub were looking between one another to suggest a gift in exchange for information on the location of Lucifer and the Succubus Freya from the Mind Demons, Beelzebub wanted to growl in frustration but calmed himself- Anything?-Sky rubbed his temples as his ears folded back- Not a thing...my mind is drawing a blank...

-she rolled her eyes- You're very helpful ... both of you.-Sky whispered- Come on,i've been a mortal most of my life, how am I supposed to know what these kinds of demons would want -he leaned back, Beelzebub glanced to Baphomet whom shrugged sheepishly.- Uh alright, alright ... any artifact from my collection it's yours! -she said looking at the druids. The demons looked between themselves and nodded, the first spoke-Very well, that will suffice. -the Sixth then spoke- The Fallen has a powerful barrier protecting him from magic and senses. We cannot tell his exact location, except where on Earth he resides.

Sky winced at the mention of Lucifer being on earth made his skin crawl, The demons all looked to Sky before looking at Beelzebub before the first spoke- The demon is where he art thou Holiest of Holy was born, in the now war torn lands spilling the blood of their own. - The fifth spoke-The Succubus is in the mortal city where the heart of the Dragon lies. Sky blinked, voicing what was on his mind- Israel? -He was about to say something else when he heard the position about the succubus- Heart of the dragon lies?....-his back stiffened- Oh god....

What?-Baphomet questioned as she at looked to Sky as did Beelzebub, Sky shrugged some- the first one I'm not ahundread sure on, but the last the "heart of the dragon lies" -he looked at Beth then looked squarely at Beelzebub- It's where Brandon is...-Beelzebub blinked slowly while giving Sky a death glare- Shut it-Sky looked back to the demons in front of him now getting fed up, the hair on his neck was standing on end, along with some of the fur on his tail, Beelzebub looked back to the demons- So ... that's all you can tell us? - First demon spoke- You know that's how it works. -followed by the third- No one can track Oggstrosse -Sky shook his head then turned around- right ... well thanks anyway.

The sixth demon spoke- Be Careful, we have foreseen an immense battle.-the seventh followed up: We do not know whom will survive, if any.-Sky didn't comment and continued to walk back to the waiting nimbus cloud, Beelzebub and Baphomet followed closely behind him, Baphomet commented trying to sound a bit more upbeat- At least we know now. -The Silence was thick as they approached the area where they landed, Sky got onto the cloud then shot off in another direction, which was clearly the way out of hell, all the while Sky had a horrible feeling in the pit of his stomach-

-Baphomet and Beelzebub watched Sky leave, then Baphomet looked to her friend- Well? What's the plan?-Beelzebub shifted ready to take flight- We group together. We have two targets, we move in. -Sometime later Sky was sitting by his friends side once more, trying to wrap his head around things but from time to time out the window- Wish you were up and adam B, Beelzebub seems to be slipping into her old ways again... Kinda feels like I am getting in her way mostly -a familiar voice broke his thought- And why is that? -Sky blinked then looked over seeing Devindra- oh...lady Devidra...-he chuckled a bit- eh...you know, I'm still thinking like a mortal.. -She nodded- I know, why is that?

He shrugged slightly - it's all I really know... -he sighed getting up to adjust the blanket B-man had been put under-Freya is around....-she simply replied-.I know -he finished adjusting the blanket-yeah...yeah you know -Sky spoke almost hissing-She needs to drop the "tough girl" act sometimes....but then again, she has a position to keep up..-Sky looked back to Devidra then shrugged- like I said, thinking like a mortal...-Devidra raised a brow-How can one drop an act when it isn't one?-Sky blinked then sighed- right right...hundreds of years old...-Devidra chuckled- Same as you find it hard to come out of your friend's shadow despite many telling you that you should and could.

Sky nodded slowly, at the corner of her eye she could see his travel bag- well, I know the guards can keep an eye on him while i train -he turned and picked up the bag slowly-My way...-Devidra watched Sky leave to train, then simply vanished, Just after the two left, B-man's right hand twitched, Back in hell Beelzebubs Generals were now were targets for sparing, still the words rang in her head Where the heart of the dragon lies it kept gnawing at her.

-Beelzebub landed a strike upon one of her generals, before blocking another demons attack, she grimaced and pulled back. She dared to think what the Demons' had meant, but not for the reason she was hoping for, Beth Meanwhile was speaking with Yahweh and Jesus over the first hint, Yahweh frowned- This is going to be difficult...the amount of ground to cover is one thing, but if they are using powerful magic that will make almost impossible.-Jesus nodded- We must have faith father. We should worry why Lucifer would pick Israel of all places.

Yahweh frowned that much more- I will go back to heaven and comb the records again...-without a word he vanished in a shaft of energy, Jesus shook his head and looked out across the ocean- ... this is very bad. -Some demons and angels were gathered going over possible plans, Gabriel was giving orders and cooperating with one of Beelzebubs various generals- We don't know what Lucifer may have in store, but our presence will definitely be noticeable. Israel is a huge place and most of it is at war.-An Angel spoke up in the group- We need to stay in groups, shall we give the usual signal? raise our energy?

-Gabriel looked to him- Yes three groups each led by an ArchAngel, that way Lucifer won't be able to send any of you back to Heaven -one demon muttered to another about how long it was going to take as they began their search, one angel made a comment about the fledgling Sky going missing, as per instruction the others were told not tell the others what had happened- Alright ... -Gabriel looked over to the varying group, angels and demons. He hadn't seen such a thing since Oggstrosse's war, it was the only good thing to come of that conflict.-

Sky meanwhile had gone back to the old training ground near the dojo, partially rocky mountain range,, he had been sitting in a meditative state -Hmm? -he looked to his left as he sensed someone coming- Hello Sky. -Jesus was beside him sitting cross legged- I see why you come here, it's peaceful -Sky sighed softly looking back to the scenery - I used to train here when I was young...-he shook his head slightly, Jesus exhaled slowly, a serene expression on his face- It's nice.

Well...there is something that isn't so nice...-Sky lay back on the ground looking up at the clouds- no...I won't, best if I don't.-Jesus looked over at Sky- It is best to say it Sky, a clouded mind isn't helpful in battle, and it's not good for the soul. -SKy nodded slightly- But the element of surprise is needed...-Sky sat up then- The Crusader castle of Toron, That's the only place I could really think of...-Jesus nodded slowly- You may be right.-Sky grunted - right under people's noses. just like with the Neko Kingdom.

-Jesus nodded but informed Sky- Everyone is going for Lucifer first. Some don't agree, they want to find Freya-Sky got up slowly- She's a small fry at this point, besides she won't show up until Lucifers been nailed-Jesus cautioned- Maybe she'll only show up when Oggstrosse gives the signal.-he looked at Sky- Either option is a losing choice Sky.
