Chapter 4: Romantic Flight

"Jake, what are you doing? I had this really weird dream where..." Toby murmured.

"It wasn't a dream, Toby. You really transformed into the most beautiful being I've ever witnessed..." Jake enlightened him.

"Wait, it wasn't?"

"Why do you think you are laying nakedly entangled with me?" Jake challenged.

"This must be a really entangled mess of dreams," Toby stated bewildered.

"Well, I think it's not and I also think you should stop denying the awesome gift you've been given."

"I...I don't know what to say... You really think my theories about a connection between the dream world and the real world could be true?!" Toby asked perplexed.

"I not only think so, I've seen the living proof!" Jake tried to make Toby face reality.

"But it seems like I'm only able to transform in special cases."

"Are you sure? Were you aroused when you did it in your dream?"

"Well no, but that was only in...Oh, now I get where you're going with this..." Toby answered feeling thick-headed.

"So you suggest that I try to think about transforming as best as I can and then it will just happen?" Toby asked dumbfounded.

"Exactly, now you're learning," Jake stated cheekily.

"Ok, so, let me think about my tail..." Toby said focused on his task, until he was suddenly interrupted by a way to familiar feeling.

Toby started to blush, "This can't be possible?!"

"Well, it's happening right now," Jake commented smirking.

Jake started thinking, "Do you...this must sound embarrassing...do you think I could try to ride you?"

"You mean...?" Toby asked terrified.

"No, no! Of course not! I mean...do you think I could fly with you?"

Toby took quite a while until he answered: "Well, my dragon form does have wings, so, technically it shouldn't be impossible..."

"Great!" Jake yelped, "I mean...interesting," he corrected himself blushing.

"But first I have to transform fully," Toby reminded Jake.

"Oh, of course. I'm just gonna take a close look."

Jake was perplexed again as more and more of Toby's skin was replaced by glistening blue and green scales, shimmering in the moonlight shining through the window. This reminded Jake that it would actually be safer than he thought since most of the people living in the small, outlying town, were already asleep.

Jake had to hold himself back as Toby's transformation continued and gorgeously defined muscles, needed for their planned trip, formed all over Toby's body.

When Toby was completely transformed, he got down on all fours and winked at Jake, who was in trance, to hop on him. Jake didn't wait for the offer to be repeated and quickly hopped on Toby's back. The feeling was amazing; sitting on the amazingly scaled and muscled back of an anthropomorphic dragon, who is his friend, was a dream come true he never knew he had.

Since Jake's window was too small for them to fit through, they marched through the house to greet the beautiful night through the front door. Only then did Toby realize that he had no flying experience, so he slowly began to flap his wings, again being overwhelmed by the new sensations, and slowly increased his pace until his paws gently left the ground.

Jake was amazed by the sensation as well, although they were only hovering 3 feet (~1 m) above the ground. Toby quickly got used to the operating principle and signaled Jake to hold on tightly. Toby increased his pace and they quickly gained altitude. As they got higher and higher, they were amazed to see their town, lit by all the lights, from above. Jake was in total awe with his amazing friend and Toby was in awe with his new abilities.

Toby now flew forwards and had to keep his speed down so Jake wouldn't be blown off of him. Toby continued to fly away from the city and towards the nearby landscape. He spotted a nice resting spot in the landscape near a river and gently glided towards the spot. When he landed and let Jake get off of him, he was somewhat confused.

"Jake, I think I've been here before..."
