Hello and thanks for checking out my story! this is the second chapter in Emily's adventures and took me a little while to get it sorted through. Pretty sure I got most of the errors out, some of the tools on here seem to be bugging out (CHAPTER 1 - Chapter 2 - Recovery being the biggest one, no idea what's going on with that and can't change it) hopefully you don't mind and can overlook that, but if you find anything else please let me know if you want, always open to and appreceate helpful feedback.

Warm… everything felt so warm and soft around Emily, it wasn’t a blanket but something softer, smothering, heavy, impossible to escape. Her bedroom glowed amber and gold, like a firelight seen through closed eyes.

Emily lazily opened her eyes to a familiar creamy-yellow fur that was far too close to her face. Her hands were already tangled in it, fingers buried instinctively in the soft fur of Typhlosion’s neck.

“Ty?” she murmured in a haze of sleep and confusion. “You’re not supposed to be up here on the bed, not until your appointment with the doctor… you could fall off and hurt your shoulder.”

He didn’t respond to her, only lifted his head enough to meet her gaze, those deep ruby red eyes watched her, steady and unblinking. Shifting slowly, his weight settled over her legs, his warmth pressing down until it nearly stole her breath away, his form looming over her so close that she could feel his warm breath against her neck. The flames at his collar burned low and controlled, casting long shadows across the room.

“H-Hey… buddy?” Her voice wavered. “Is something wrong? Y-You shouldn’t be… letting your flames out like that… i-it’s dangerous, you could hurt yourself.”

There was no answer from him, only that deep piercing gaze as he leaned in closer to her face, so close that she questioned her comfort. His breath washed over her face, warm and familiar and suddenly overwhelming. Emily’s heart pounded as she pressed her hands against his chest, not to push him away but hesitant in his intentions.

“Ty? Ty wait… what are you doing buddy? I-I don’t want any face licks right now ok?” There was a tremble in her voice as her heart began to race, feeling him shifting more over her, closer to her until he was completely overtop of her. Moving his paw he rests it on the bed above her head, trapping her beneath him without so much as touching her.

She tried to speak, opening her mouth only for the words to tangle and fell apart as the space between them quickly vanished. “T-Ty?”

His lips met with hers in a gentle touch at first, hesitant and uncertain, though they returned with a force and intimacy that stole her breath away. Her hands pushed weakly at his chest in surprise, a defiant reaction that crumbled and quickly melted away as she gave into him, sliding her hands along his sides to grab fistfulls of his fur and pull him closer to her.

The heat in the room spiked as his other paw braced against her side, the feeling of his oversized tongue wedged between her lips with little resistance, twisting and curling with her own as he gave a deep sensual purr into the kiss.

She answered with a confused yet blissful whimper of her own, squirming beneath him as little moans slipped into their shared embrace, heated, and heavy as the warmth inside of her and the warmth between her legs began to grow unbearable. Pulling back from the kiss she turns her head, trying to escape his affection as reason tried to pull her back. “T-Ty… w-we can’t… i-it’s not right I-I-”

Ty again said nothing, giving a soft murr as he nuzzled and licked over her cheek, leaning in closer as he opened his mouth, slowly and carefully biting the side of her neck in a gentle display of dominance.

Arching her back a squeaky moan slipped from Emily as the warmth quickly boiled to a head between her thighs.

“We… we shouldn’t… oh… oh my god… Ty… g-gently please~” She pleaded as he grazed the sharp points of his teeth along her neck, not enough to cause her any harm or pain, just hard enough for her to feel his intentions, his desire and lust.

Grumbling deeply Ty slid his other paw up, sliding underneath her pajama top, and rubbed up along her stomach to her chest, gently curling his claws along the underside of her breast, giving it a gentle squeeze.

Pulling back from his bite he pulled her pajama shirt up and over her chest, freeing her supple breasts. Blushing fiercely Emily pressed back against the bed, whimpering as his warm tongue slid up between her modest cleavage.

Curling her arms against her chest submissively she squirms as his muzzle closed around her left nipple, nursing it tenderly as his paw moved to cup her side. She couldn’t move, she could only moan and squirm beneath him as the sweltering heat between her thighs boiled over into an overwhelming euphoria that made her cry out in bliss.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jolting awake Emily cried out, face burning hot with embarrassment, her heart racing in her chest. Tangled up in the blankets she shivered from the adrenaline rush, holding her chest as she blinked the haze from her vision. It was a dream, it had only been a dream but gods above it had felt so real. “S-Seriously!? Come the fuck on man.” she shutters.
The heavy thumping of paws could be heard crossing the hallway outside of her room before the door bursts open as Ty shoves himself inside, frantically looking around for any danger before fixing his trainer with a concerned look. “B-Bakoo!?”
Snagging her pillow up Emily hurled it in Ty’s face without a second though. “Out! Get The Fuck Out!! Lock The Door And Get Out!” she shouts out of embarrassed frustration.
Ty could only frantically cover his head and his eyes with a startled yelp as the pillow fluffed against his face, thinking he had walked in on something he shouldn’t have. Bumping into the door frame he tried to avoid looking at her. Fidgeting with the doorknob he managed to twist the lock, pulling it quickly shut behind him as he left the room rather abruptly.
Sighing out in frustration Emily flopped back against the bed, still shivering as the dream lingered in her mind. Holding a hand against the breast that had been attended too she shutters.
Looking over to make sure the door was locked she carefully slipped a hand beneath the waistband of her pajama’s, feeling along her extremely sensitive folds. Tugging up her pajamas to free her hand she grimaced looking over her soaking wet fingertips “Great… that’s just fucking great… Why brain? Why? As if I didn’t have enough going on right now you just had to go and make up something else to add onto the pile! Guuuh”
Pressing herself up she wiped her hand on her pajama pants with a displeased look, pausing to pick the pillow up from the floor and toss it back over on the bed. Today was going to be an interesting day for sure, not really but apparently it was if her soaked panties had anything to say about it.
As she unlocked the door and pulled it open she saw Ty standing in the hallway looking terribly embarrassed and worried as he saw his trainer. “B-Bakooo!” he whines apologetically. “B-Bak-Bakoo?”
He had probably heard her shout when she woke up and came to check on her. Did he think she was having another nightmare? Or worse having some alone time? “It’s fine buddy, sorry for the pillow to the face… had a very weird dream and was… startled when you busted into the room like that.” Rubbing her neck she fought with the embarrassment that was lingering in the back of her mind
“B-Bakoo?” he asks with a tilt of his head, giving her a more worried look as he shuffled closer, opening his arms up to offer her a hug.
Emily tensed, holding up her hands. “No no… I’m ok, it wasn’t that bad dream I’ve been having just… a different one… really strange one and I don’t really want to be touched right now. I need a cold shower, after that I’ll come down for some breakfast.”
Ty gave another whine, holding his paws together as he shuffled back from her and out of the way, watching as she passed by him heading to the bathroom. “Bakooooo.”
In the shower Emily thumped her head against the shower wall, standing under the cold water as it rolled along her form. Lost in thought she let her mind drift back to the innocent kiss she shared with Ty weeks ago, she never had the nerve to talk to him about it, and apparently that was starting to manifest in her dreams in a weird way, only that was a hell of a lot heavier than just an innocent little kiss during a very emotional moment, that was a very wet dream that she apparently… enjoyed? A shiver shot down her spine just thinking about it.
“Damn it Emily, get a grip…” she sighs, looking up at the water as she begins to get herself cleaned. “Everyone has a curious little dream sometimes, that’s fine, dreams can’t be controlled, and It has been a very long dry spell… god I need a boyfriend or a hump buddy or something.” she sighs, rubbing her face firmly. “Oh no… I better not be finding out I’m into the dark side of the pokemon world. This friggan sucks.”
Finishing her shower and getting dressed for the day, she stuffed her pajamas deep into the hamper, giving it the middle finger in a silly act of defiance. Making her way downstairs she felt a little more refreshed now that that whole mess had been taken care of. “Good morning!”
“Good morning Emily dear!” Her mother called out from the kitchen. She was sitting at the table reading over various important papers and typing at her laptop. “I just got off the phone with the bank and got everything set up for the renovators to come out and look over the property. It’s at the top of the list and shouldn’t be more than a couple of days.”
“Wait really? For real!? I-I thought they wouldn’t be able to get out there for another couple weeks at least! How in the world did you manage that?”
“It wasn’t really that hard, dear, just needed to call and talk to the right people, let them know they would be doing me a huge favor by bumping some things around for me. When you get to be a big name in Johto sweetie it can get things done a lot faster than it usually would, no reason to not throw your weight around a little when you can.”
The amusement immediately left Emily making her expression sour. “Oh god no mom eww! Don’t do that, I don’t want people thinking that I’m just going around lording my tidal over everyone! That’s not cool at all!”
Chuckling her mother crossed one leg over the other. “Honey, once you get into the business like myself you'll understand that a little pressure here and there is good to keep people on their toes, dropping a name or two just reminds people who they're dealing with. It's not like I’m making threats or anything silly like that, and besides it was ‘my’ name that I mentioned, not yours.” She corrects with a pleased smile.
Malissa Verner, her mother and probably the sneakiest real estate developer in Johto, a former pokemon trainer that got involved in the business once she had retired and made a name for herself by taking on several large and successful contracts in the first few years of her career. “Besides I would never use your name in your stead… at least not without your express permission sweetheart, that’s just rude and manipulative.”
“I don’t think that’s much better… but I… am glad to know that the renovations and repairs will get done sooner than I thought they would.” Rubbing the back of her neck she chuckled nervously. Honestly sometimes she felt like her mother was like a secret leader of a criminal network or something, not that she would ever ask if she was, it was just a silly thought, or at least she hoped it was.
“Oh by the way, Redgie called earlier, said that he was going to be stopping by here later? Something about needing to take you to Celadon City?” she asks, sounding a little confused. “Is Ty doing ok?”
“He is yeah, at least I think so, today is the day I have to take him back to the doctor in Celadon for his follow up tests and stuff, make sure his shoulder is all healed up and see what the damages to his flame vent is like.” she says, rubbing her head. “Sort of not wanting to go but-”
“Emily, you face the news head on beside your partner and accept the outcome regardless of what it is. Running and hiding from it isn’t going to do anything but make things worse, best to get it done and over with now.” she says as she nods. “Before you go though, get you a plate of food and have some breakfast. Ty! Ty honey come down here and eat your food!” she called out from the table.
A quiet thumping could be heard upstairs followed by the big fire badger coming down the steps, leaning around the corner to look into the kitchen nervously between Emily and Malissa. “Bakoo?” he asks nervously.
“Yes you, come on you’ve got a big day today and you need to eat plenty of food and drink lots of water before you get to the doctors, don’t need you passing out again if they have to do some blood work.” Emily says as she nods.
Whining aloud Ty hung his head, pouting as he fell to all fours, padding over to just stuff his face in his food bowl with another whine. “I swear that big baby makes more of a fuss about needles than you do.” Malissa chuckles, getting a very unamused look from Emily. “You eat too sweetheart, Redgie should be getting here soon and I don’t want you making him wait, it’s already nearly a two hour flight between here and Celedon, and I don’t want you flying out in the cold tonight.”
“I mean with Daisy it’ll probably be more like 45 minutes, but I do need to stop off in New Bark Town at the professors lab to pick up some of my pokemon for the trip, just in case we run into any trouble.” she says as she makes her way into the kitchen to get her breakfast.
“That’s a good idea, who do you think you’ll be taking with you? Goodness knows they are probably all worried about your long absence.”
“Hmm? Not really I don’t think, They’ve been helping the professor with his lab expansion and also with the construction over on Route 46 and 29 right now, something about clearing away some of the cliffs and big drops they have out through there… if anything I’d like to get Gardevoir back if she’s up for it. Besides Ty she’s my strongest, and it’d be nice to be able to talk to her again since she can actually speak and I don’t have to try and decipher pantomiming and grunts.”
“Oh the little misses, She will be nice to have around the house again, also you and Ty can actually have a full conversation through her and settle any underlying issues that you need to talk about still.”
“O-Oh no that’s alright, there’s nothing really else to talk about, pretty sure we’ve got everything out on the table as it is.” Emily says with a nervous smile, rubbing the back of her neck as she did. “Besides that’s really private and between me and him.”
“Oh stop, You know as well as I do that your other team members are just as worried about him as you have been. It would be good for her to get out all of her worries and concerns too.” Malissa says as she nods.
Sitting at the table with her plate, Emily scoops eggs into her mouth. “Mmph, I guess you’re right.” she mutters. She hadn’t even thought about how the rest of her team had felt, as soon as the accident happened she left them in the professor's care and set aside time to help Ty, of course she called and checked on them every few days and passed on how he was doing with his rehabilitation, but in the heat of everything that was happening she didn’t take into consideration how they must of felt. Sighing she shook her head. “I don’t think I handled the situation with Ty’s injury very well.”
Chuckling Malissa shook her head. “Hell no you didn’t, you were a complete and total disaster. Still are in a way, but you’re getting your bearings back.”
“Damn, thanks for softening the blow on that one mom, love you too.” Hanging her head Emily poked at her food, eating a piece of bacon before she looked back at Ty as he reluctantly ate his food.
“I’m just being honest dear, you’re usually very sharp and quick on your feet when it comes to decision making, really smart and attentive to all of your team members, but when the accident happened you completely fell apart, pushed everyone off on the professor and have been staying here and moping around with his rehabilitation.” she says as she typed away on her laptop.
Grunting Emily gave her mother a displeased look. “You’re really blunt this morning mom… care to show some compassion at least? No one on my team had ever been hurt that badly before, once the doctor told me everything I had to figure out what to do on the spot.”
Pausing mid-click Malissa shifted her laptop to the side, holding her hands together as she looked at Emily. “You’re right, it was a terrifying few days with all the surgeries. Sorry honey, but… I wouldn’t have pushed away the rest of my team during something like that.”
Sighing Emily rubbed the back of her neck. “Yeah, not gonna lie that was a panic move, could have really used a cuddle buddy after that, I don’t know, I was terrified that I’d lose him, there was a lot of blood and it’s sort of stuck with me.” she says looking over her shoulder, watching Ty daintily pick up food from his bowl and eat as he watched TV
Reaching out Malissa ruffled Emily’s hair. “Trauma tends to do that… but now look at him, he’s moving freely, the scar doesn’t seem to be itching any and his vent seems to have healed up nicely. I don’t think you have much to worry about anymore, other than getting your team back together and letting them see him again after all this time… you need to apologize to them for keeping him away from them.”
“Yeah… I know I do… I am glad he’s ok though, already said I’m done moping around, so gonna make sure everyone on the team gets to see Ty… Hoping that I can start with Gaurdivour in that regard.”
“That’s my girl, the best way to take the next step… I would say bring them all home with you, but with everything going on regarding your property with all the repairs and renovations, your current mental stability, and soon to be appointments with the different utility companies, that may be a little too much for you to deal with all at once. However, with them helping with the construction work with the city you’re entitled to a commission for loaning their assistance, a good temporary source of income for the time being.”
If there was one thing Emily could rely on it was her mother never pulling any punches, though she was right, it wouldn’t be fair to her team right now if she brought them all home at once, and considering the very heavy blow her finances had taken with her recent purchases the extra money was nice. The thought lingered as she finished with her breakfast, taking her dishes to the sink to be washed.
A loud pecking at the door followed by a loud and rather cheerful shout outside pulled her from her thoughts. “I think Redgie’s here.” Smirking, Emily looked over at her mom who gave a content sigh. “He sounds really excited.”
“He always sounds excited, hyperactive and silly. He’s been like that since he was a boy bringing home every caterpie and spinarak he found. Gave his mother a heart attack.” Malissa says, looking up from her laptop as more loud knocking followed. “Stop banging on my damn door and get in here!” she shouts over her shoulder. “And whip your feet!”
The door opened and closed as Redgie quickly came inside, shuffling his shoes over the door mat to make sure they were clean. “Hey Malissa, sorry about that, I didn't think you’d be home today.”
“Oh it’s fine, I took some time off work to help Emily get all this paperwork in order and get some contracts written up. But Redgie dear you’re a part of this family so no need to beat down my poor door when you visit, just walk inside and say hey.” she retorts, going back to typing on her laptop. “I’ve got breakfast made if you’re hungry, bacon and eggs, we had toast but Subastion made off with the last piece of it..”
“Oh no thanks, I’ve already eaten this morning. I wanted to get an early start since we’re flying all the way out to Celadon! The big city in the Kanto space baby I'm so excited!” He states with a pump of his fist. “You guys ready to have one hell of a sweet time rocking out in the big city?”
“Yeah, I’m a lot less excited.” Emily mutters. “It’s a day I- We’ve been dreading.” she says motioning over at Ty who was just sitting on the floor looking at the TV at this point having already finished with his food. “He’s a little in his head today.”
“Ty my man!” Redgie shouts, hooking an arm around the fire badgers back, pulling him into a side hug. “Come on my guy, snap out of it. Listen everything’s gonna be totally fine today, got a couple of tests and scans to do yeah, but after that it’s smooth sailing from here on out, also got you a berry… It’s your favooorite.”
Ty grumbled as he was tugged and swayed, making him whine aloud, opening his mouth as if to playfully bite him, at least up until Redgie stuffed a sitrus berry in his mouth. Blinking a few times he gave a grunt and Redgie a side eye as he bit into the berry and chewed.
“Heheh, Yeah you thought you could bite me? Can’t go nibblin on someone if you got a berry in your mouth my guy?” he asks, patting the badger on the shoulder as he turns his attention back to Emily. “So, are we ready to get going? It’s a long flight up there.”
Sighing, Emily looked at Ty, not really able to hide her worry as she nodded. “Yeah… might as well get it over with. I do need to stop at Professor Elm’s lab along the way to pick up Gardevoir though if that’s ok.”
“Yeah that’s fine, better than fine actually, it’d be nice to see the little lady again, what about Piko and Noivern?” He asks as he rests his hands on his hips. “Gonna grab them too or…”
“Not today, they're still working with the city on the construction out there. I plan on getting them back once everything’s finished up with the house, I also need to call Professor Birch and see how Milotic and Ampharos are doing.” she mutters as she rubs her chin. “Not that I need to worry, they are usually always busy out there but… I miss them all a lot.”
“Makes sense, it’s been a couple of months now, nearly three, pretty sure they are missing you too, not like you don’t call them like every day to check on them, but it’s all good, they are in good hands with the professors.” Redgie says, giving her a pat on the shoulder. “Finish up whatever you’ve gotta do and let’s get going, want to get back before tonight, weathers getting colder and I don’t want either of us to catch a cold while flying."
“Is it really gonna be that cold up there tonight? Mom said the same thing, like I’ll grab a coat and put it in my bag just in case.”
“Don’t get me wrong, Daisy is a warm little lady but the wind chill alone from her flight speed is enough to set you up for a cold, trust me I’ve found out the hard way. Why do you think we always wear coats and goggles when we fly in races?”
“I don’t know, bad fashion decisions?” Emily teased, getting the middle finger from him. “Heheh I’m kidding, I never really had that problem with Noivern so I can’t really say. He’s a little too chunky for racing but all that fluff on his neck always kept me warm.”
“Yeah well lucky you, Daisy doesn’t have any fur, hurry up and get your bag, we’re burning daylight here.” Redgie says as he gives her shoulder a playful push. “Move it girl move!”
“Alright, alright Mr pushy, I’m goin. I’ll be back down in a sec.” she says as she hurried up the steps back to her room. “Ok… better grab a coat just in case, some extra balls, potions…” muttering to herself Emily ruffled through her closet, getting out a thick leather jacket and stuffed it into her backpack, checking around the different pockets to make sure she had everything.
Ty peeked into the room for a second, moving to close the door behind him as he gave her a concerned little whimper.
Hearing the door close behind her Emily perked up, looking back at him as she stood back upright. “Hey Ty buddy what’s wrong?” she asks, making her way over to him. “Are you nervous about today?”
Ty only grunted a little, shaking his head slowly before he turned back to look at the bed, shuffling his paws together. “Bakooo…”
Rubbing her neck Emily looked at the bed, her cheeks flushing a little at the thought of what happened earlier. “Oh yeah… right, this morning was a little abrupt and loud wasn’t it? I’m sorry for hitting you with a pillow and shouting like that bud, I just… had a strange dream that kinda startled me a little… well a lot actually” she says, moving to hug her arms around his sides. “But it’s ok now, I’m not upset with you or anything, I know you were worried about me… not like I was fingering myself or anything.”
Grunting Ty sighed, hugging her back as he nuzzled into her hair, seeming to be relieved if not a little embarrassed with her answer. “Koooo”
“I’m ok buddy, I promised that I’d talk to you if it was those dreams again, to be honest since that mental breakdown and our snuggling I’ve not had it again, gotta say that I think it helped out a lot to get it out and into the open like that.” She smiles up at him, giving his chest a pat.
Ty grumbles, his cheeks flushing lightly as he lets her shoulders go, poking his claws together lightly. “Ba-” falling quiet he seemed rather embarrassed with what he was trying to ask, so instead he lifted a paw to touch his lips. “B-Bakoo?”
Realising what he was talking about Emily began to pull away before she stopped herself. Sighing she smiled weakly “You’re worried about the kiss we had?” she asks, reaching a hand up to rub the back of her neck. “It… was a little bit of a surprise wasn’t it? I mean it’s not like I don’t give you head kisses all the time… it was a little bit different then that though wasn’t it?” she asks. “I’m sorry if it made you uncomfortable, I honestly don’t know where it came from or what came over me… everything’s been really emotional these past few months and my head has been clouded and fogged over I… I don’t know, I’m sorry.”
“Ba? B-Bakooo!” he chirps, frantically shaking his head and waving his paws, giving her a quick thumbs up and a nervous smile as he points at himself. That was good, at least she hadn’t made him feel uncomfortable, at least that’s what she thought he was trying to say. Rubbing the side of his neck, Ty grunted as he motioned to her.
“It’s hard to talk about it… Like it wasn’t bad but it was different?” she says not entirely sure if that was the right way to put it, though he seemed to understand as he nodded. “Yeah… Feelings are a little hard to talk about regarding that… like I wasn’t uncomfortable or anything, I mean shit dude we grew up together basically, you’re one of the few guys I even feel comfortable talking to about this… well besides Redgie, but he’s gay so that doesn’t really count… also it was you and me it happened between so…” trailing off she sighs. “Ok let’s put it like this… I was not uncomfortable with it, I was surprised and worried that I may have made you uncomfortable… but I didn’t… right?”
Shaking his head Ty gave her another thumbs up. “Ba.”
“Right… so neither of us were uncomfortable with it because we trust each other completely, and we were both just worried about how the other one felt, right?”
He gave a firm nod of his head and another thumbs up. “Ba.”
“Ok sweet, got that taken care of… that being said I… don’t think we should tell anyone about it… because I don’t want people thinking that I’m interested in… uhhh… Pokemon… in that way? I-I don’t know how to explain it without sounding nasty.”
Snickering, Ty shook his head in amusement, earning a flat look from Emily. “What? I-I Don’t! I just… S-Shut up! You don’t even know what I’m talking about, you’re a stupid butt face!”
Blepping his tongue out at her Ty moved to pick up her backpack, offering it to her with a big deep breath. “Bakoo!”
Snatching her bag from him Emily gave him a squinty eyed stare, pulling her backpack on before she moved to give him a firm hug, stuffing her face into his chest fluff.
Resting his chin ontop of her head Ty returned the hug and patted her back, looking down at her with a confident smile. “Bakoo!”
Pulling her head back she nods. “I know, gotta think positively, I’m sure everything is going to turn out fine, there’s not going to be any complications, everything is going to be perfectly normal with all your tests, and there’s not going to be anything to worry about right?”
“Bakoo!” Ty stated firmly, giving Emily a happy smile and a confident look. Perking his ears he gave her a pleased trill, turning to make his way back out of the room.
Watching him go Emily smiles. “Right… nothing to worry about… lets do this, gonna be a good day today I can feel it.”
As she stepped out of the house Emily smiles seeing Daisy basking in the sun all curled up on the ground. “Daisy!” she chimes, making the flygon perk up, lazily opening her eyes to look up at Emily with a happy trill. “Hello sweetie, how are you doing today?” she asks, giving her pets over her head and in behind her antenna.
Getting another happy trill from the dragon type Emily leaned in close to look into the red globe like eye covers. “Have you been training really hard, little lady? Getting ready for the next big race?”
Daisy tilts her head, perking her wings up to let them stretch and vibrate. “No new races anytime soon for this little lady actually.” Redgie spoke up as he shut the front door behind him. “It’s her rest week before we give her another try at the egg department.”
“Egg? Are you actually thinking about breeding her?” That was a first, Daisy was Redgie’s little lady, he had spoken off and on about it before, but it had never really worked out before for some reason or another.
“Well… yeah in a sense, Not with another flygon of course, I don't want to see a fella hunchin up all on my little Daisy, but I ordered a kit online and got in contact with a breeder who doesn’t mind trying it out the artificial way, so… yeah.” he says rubbing the back of his neck.
Chuckling lightly Emily pressed herself up with a stretch. “Ahh still can’t let her go can ya? She’s a full grown adult now you know.” She says, smiling as Daisy nuzzled into the back of her hand for more head pets.
“Yeah I know that… just… I raised her since she was a baby, call me sentimental if you want but that’s the compromise we came up with, like it or not.” Grumbling Redgie folded his arms. “We doin this or what?”
“Aww daddy is all concerned and worried about you, isn’t that adorable?” Emily chuckles, getting an embarrassed chime from the flygon. “You know Redgie I think it would kill you if you came to find out she was like… way into getting railed by like three dudes at once or something, I mean we can ask Gaurdivour.”
“Bitch you can walk to Celadon if you want. Is that what you’re saying?” He retorts rather abruptly. “Keep that nasty ass mind of your’s in check, and don’t talk about my Daisy that way, she’s a sweet and innocent little girl.”
Holding her hands up Emily chuckles. “Alright, alright damn, I was only joking around with you. Ty! Come on, it's time to go!”
Quiet thumping came from the house as the Typhlosion pressed the door open, calling back inside with a wave of his paw before he shut the door, hurrying over to join them.
Recalling him into his ball, Emily shuffled onto Daisy’s back with a little help from Redgie, holding on tight as the dragon type reared up and took off with a heavy flap of her wings.
It was barely a 4 minute flight from her mothers house to the professor's lab, and as they touched down professor Elm was already outside and waiting for them.
Slipping down from Daisy’s side Emily offered a little wave. “Sup professor? How’s it goin?”
“Good morning Emilia, it’s going quite well actually, a little cool for my tastes but nothing a thermal shirt and socks won’t take care of.”
“Bro Eww, don’t use my government name like that so casually, just Emily please… also… were you expecting me today or something? I don’t know if I had anything set up with you, I came to pick up Gardivoir for the trip out to Celadon City, I was hoping to have her around for Ty’s appointment at the Hospital.”
Smiling with amusement the professor adjusted his glasses “Oh no, your mother called ahead and let me know you were on your way, that being said do you mind if I look at Typhlosion? I haven’t seen him for quite a while now, not since your battle against Lance.”
“Oh uhh yeah sure.” Pulling out his ball Emily released Ty who shook himself out, looking around for a moment only to smile upon seeing the professor. “There you go.”
“Ahh Hello Typhlosion, it’s good to see you up and on your feet, how are you feeling today?” he asks, getting a nervous grunt from the badger. “Yes I’m certain you’re a little worried about the doctor's visit, never have been a fan of needles, but not to worry I’m sure everything will turn out just fine. I’d actually like to give you a quick look over myself if you wouldn’t mind”
Ty blinks, looking at Emily for a moment before giving a shrug. “Ba” was his simple response, sitting down on the ground.
“Hey professor, I’m grateful that you're worried about Ty too but… my Gardevoir?" Emily spoke up.
“Oh yes right, sorry about that, she’s just inside the lab there, her pokeball is on the counter with a sticky note attached to it.” he says, patting Ty on the head before going in behind him to inspect his flame vent. “Now then, let's see how well everything mended shall we?”
“Right, I’ll go grab her then while you’re doing that.” Of course the professor already had his mind on something else, the guy could only stay focused on something for so long before it just slipped away from him.
Opening the door to the lab Emily looked around. “Gardevoir! Are you in here?” she called out, perking up as an aid leaned to the side giving her a questioning look. “Oh uhh, hey, just looking for my pokemon.”
Hello Master, it’s good to see you again” A soft angelic voice graced Emily’s mind as a tall Gardevoir came around the corner wearing one of the lab coats. Without another word she walks over to hug Emily in against her slim form, being careful with the fin on her chest. “How are you master? I am so happy to see you here!
“Hey there you, I’m doing great, stopped by to see if you’d like to come back with me. We were on our way to Celadon city for Ty’s appointment… so I was just… wondering ya know?”
Oh yes of course I would love to come back with you, I’ve been quite worried about him while he’s been in rehabilitation. Is he doing ok?” she asks, pulling back enough to look down at Emily.
“Oh yeah he’s doing fine, his scar is all healed up, has good range of motion, we’ve been going on our morning hikes again and there’s no pain or swelling afterwards so everything seems to have fully healed.”
That is such wonderful news to hear.” she chimes, holding her arms out, the lab coat disappearing from her form and appearing on the coat rack beside the door. “I have also been very worried about you as well master, you were beyond distraught when the accident happened, the phone calls that you made have been a deep relief, however I could tell that you were still very worried, just as you are now.
“I… ahh yeah, I am. But no matter what happens we’re gonna get through it, just have to have hope that everything’s healed up properly… where’s your ball at?” she asks, looking around. “He said something about having a sticky note on it?”
Holding her hands out a soft glow of psychic power swirled between them leaving her pokeball and the sticky note to appear in her palm. “Here you are master
“Thanks, also please stop with the whole master thing, call me Emily.” Taking the ball back she fastens it to her belt. “You know how I feel about that, it makes me feel all wormy and stuff.”
Yes I know, your reaction is very funny to me… master” she says, giving Emily a knowing look and a sweet smile.
“Sassy bitch.” she chuckles petting over gardevoir’s arm. “I missed having you around… sorry for just running off like that.”
You have nothing to apologize for, I could feel the fear and worry you had for him at the time deep in my heart. I took no offense to your decision, though I have been worried about the both of you.
“I know, sorry again.” she says rubbing the back of her neck. “But I’m here now with a better mind set… I think.”
Gardevoir looked at her for a moment with a little smile. “Forgive me master but I do not think you have ever been in a proper mindset to begin with.” she chuckles, holding a paw to her muzzle.
Grunting Emily gave her a nudge, folding her arms as gardevoir laughed even more. “You’re an ass, you know that? I’ll let you have that one for not coming to get you sooner.”
I am only teasing you Emily. I am so happy to be back beside you again.” She trills, giving Emily a little bow of her head
“And I’m very happy to have you back as well, god I’ve missed you.” she sighs, hugging gardevoir tightly. Gardevoir returned the hug, giving her a gentle pat on the back.
Back outside Ty was making a slightly displeased look as the Professor leaned over his back, shining a light along the red vent on his back, carefully pulling the skin a little to the side as he looked around. “Hmmm…”
“Are you done yet Professor? Looks like he’s not enjoying that at all.” Closing the door to the lab Emily made her way over to pet over Ty’s head, the fire badger giving Emily a smile only to give a smoky snort as the professor felt the scarring along the inside of the vent.
“Yes I am, everything seems to have healed back together well, however it doesn’t look all that good.” he says as he pushes his glasses up. “I think the scar tissue is down into the flame sack, which is not a good at all, if that’s been damaged then I’m afraid that using fire based attacks is out of the question.”
Dread washed over Emily as she petted Ty’s head, moving her hand down to gently hold his shoulder, gripping it gently. “We’re prepared… to handle whatever the outcome is. So long as Ty’s life isn’t in danger we’ll… adapt.”
“Well that is the good news, everything seems to have healed correctly, we won’t really know much until he actually gets his tests and scans done… hope for the best but… prepare for the worst, that’s all I’m saying.” Elm says as he nods.
Taking a deep breath Emily nods firmly. “I know, no matter what, we’ve got a plan moving forwards.”
Nodding Ty shuffled back upright, looking at Emily before he hurried over, pulling Gardevoir into a firm hug. “Bakooooo!!”
My goodness, it’s very good to see you again too Ty, I am glad you have survived your injuries and your rehabilitation.
“Baa! Bakoo!” he states motioning to Emily with a firm nod.
I agree, our master does her best to care for us when we are hurt. Master, we should make haste if you do not want to be late for the appointment in Celadon city.
“Wait, how do you know that? I didn’t tell you what time the appointment was… Don’t tell me you were reading my mind again, you know how I feel about that sort of stuff!” Emily grunts, poking Gardevoir in the chest.
Very well master, I will not tell you that I read your mind… Ty dear you are squishing my chest fin.
Redgie laughed as he covered his mouth with the back of his wrist, looking between them. “Damn, she got you… don’t want to interrupt but if we’re gonna be late shouldn’t we be going now?”
Frowning, Emily recalled Ty and Gardevoir both, fastening their balls back to her belt. “Yeah we had better go, Thanks for looking after Gardevoir professor… and for the heads up about Ty, I’ll call and let you know how everything goes.”
“I’m sorry Emily, I just want you to not get your hopes up too high. While there is a slim chance everything healed back together properly, it’s a bad spot to have an injury like that for a Typhlosion. I’ll be eagerly waiting to hear the good news that I was wrong after the appointment, also be safe flying tonight, it’s going to be very cold so you should probably get a jacket to wear.”
Getting settled on Daisy’s back Emily offered him a little smile. “Thanks professor, I’ll let you know once everything is done, also I know, already have one in the bag.” Giving Redgie a pat on the side she nods. “Let's get a move on, double time.”
“You got it. Daisy lets go fast.” Patting her neck, Redgie braced himself as Flygon took off, angling around swiftly through the air and bolted off towards the horizon.
The flight from Johto to Kanto was a long and rather cool one, the terrain passed by quickly as Daisy shot through the air like a bullet. She had been raised and trained for speed, and it certainly showed with her quick and sharp movements.
Flying along Emily looked out over the horizon at the mountain looming in the distance. “Check It Out! Mt Silver!” Radgie called out over the windsheer as he pointed.
“Not Allowed To Go There Redgie! So Don’t Even Ask Me Too!” Emily shouted back, staying pressed up against his back, keeping her hands firmly in place at his hips. “Not Unless You Get All The Badges From Kanto And Johto!”
The trip from Greenfield where her mothers home was and Celadon city typically took the average flyer about two hours of flight, with Daisy’s speed they made it in just around an hour. The city was large, stretching out for miles between trees and various parks, though not nearly as many very tall buildings and not as loud and busy as the city’s she was used too, it was a city that she liked visiting for it’s super store, though unfortunately it also had one of the most advanced pokemon hospitals and treatment centers between the two regions.
Touching down Daisy let out a few deep breaths, stretching and working her wings around to help relax the muscles as Emily slid off her back. “Daisy girl you have hella good endurance and speed, your training is really starting to pay off in spades isn’t it?”
Daisy gave a winded chime, having herself a seat on the ground once Redgie had slid off her back. “You go on ahead and take Ty to his appointment, and remember to think positive, I know it’s a big day and all and it’s super stressful, but also he’s one hell of a tough guy, I’m sure that everything will be just fine.”
Swallowing the lump in her throat Emily offered him a very nervous smile, letting Ty out of his ball. “I know, nerves are still a little shot about all of it… But I’m gonna stay positive, no matter what the outcome is, we'll adapt together as partners.”
“Hell yeah, no go in there and get it done, I’m gonna take Daisy to the pokemon center to get rested up and hosed down, after that I’ll meet you back here and we’ll go celebrate the good news yeah?”
“Right, celebrate the good news.” she says as she reaches out to pat Ty on the back as the badger looks up at the tall medical building with a nervous grumble. “Don’t worry buddy, I’m sure everything is going to be fine, we’re gonna hope for good news and be positive about whatever outcome happens.” She states, getting a nervous smile from the badger.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“I’m afraid… I don’t have much in the way of good news for you.” The doctor spoke as he carefully clipped the scans of Typhlosion's body into the lit up view boxes along the wall. “It looks like the scarring is a lot deeper than we initially thought it was going to be.”

Emily’s heart sank as the doctor spoke, looking between the scans on the wall and the doctor. “W-What do you mean? Is Ty going to be ok?” Emily asks, pressing herself up from her seat in a panic. “Like what’s going on? I thought he was going to be ok! H-He hasn’t been showing any signs of discomfort and has full mobility of his leg I-I’ve been checking it every single day!”

“Now now, Ms. Verner, try to calm down, your pokemon’s life is not in any danger, in fact the muscles surrounding the injury have healed back nicely and he’s made a full recovery, he shouldn’t have any issues at all with his mobility for the rest of his life. What I mean to say is that what we feared was going to happen… has happened I’m afraid." he says holding his hands together. “You see with Typhlosions they have a series of connected sacks here underneath the vents around their neck, it’s what helps them use fire based attacks when they are battling.” he says pointing over the images hanging up on the board. “When your Typhlosion got hurt during his intense battle, the injury stretched deep into his vent and punctured one of these flame sacs.”

Sitting back down in her seat Emily reached a hand out, gently gripping onto Ty’s paw for comfort as she looked over the images. “So… there’s no way that he… I mean like even with surgery or anything like that he won’t be able to battle again?”

The doctor shook his head. “I’m deeply sorry to say that no, even if we went in and operated to remove this portion of the sac or even tried to repair the damage the underlying scar tissue would be very thin and susceptible to getting torn open under the strain and swelling the other sac’s can cause, it could lead to a serious infection while normally treatable with antibiotics it’s very dangerous being so close to the spinal cord, or worst case scenario he could rip the scaring back open all together. At most he can use an Ember attack every so often, and even then that would only be feasible every couple of days without putting too much strain on the scar tissue.”

Gripping Ty’s paw tightly Emily’s chest grew tight, the ringing in her ears intensified as a wave of anguish and dread began to settle over her. “So there’s nothing… nothing at all that can be done… that’s just it?”

“I’m very sorry but no, not at this time, but you need to know that the fields of medicine are always making substantial breakthroughs and in the future there may be something that can be done, but unfortunately at this time I’m afraid that it would simply be too dangerous for him.” The doctor says giving her a concerned look. “Ms Verner are you alright?”

Her breath trembled as her heart raced, a deep pain ripped through her chest as her heart pounded in her head. Seeing the doctor's hand reaching out for her she swatted it away as she stood abruptly. “Am I Alright!? Fuck No I’m Not Alright! What Kind Of Stupid Fucking Question Is That!? My Best Friend Is Crippled And You’re Just Going to Casually Ask If I’m Alright!? Are You Fucking Stupid!?”

The Doctor flinched back from her outburst, holding onto his hand while Ty gave her hand a squeeze and a whine. “M-Ms Verner please, try and calm down.”

“Calm Down?! How The Fuck Can I Calm Down!! Don’t You Fucking Understand What Any Of This Means?! You Stupid Fucking-”

Ty squeezed her hand hard enough for her fingers to curl as he yanked her arm back hard enough to force her back in her seat before she could finish her sentence. “Ba!! Bakuuu!” he barked in a scolding manner, keeping a firm hold of her hand until the fight had left her.

Slumping there in the seat Emily grimaced, gritting her teeth as tears quickly welled up in her vision, covering a hand over her face she fought with everything she had to restrain herself, to keep the sobs and tears back. “Just go… get out…”

The doctor held a saddened look as he watched her fall apart, sobbing into her hand. “I am truly sorry for the terrible news… I’ll uhh… step out and give you two a moment to yourselves, a nurse will come by shortly with your release forms… I hope you are able to recover from this, the both of you.” he says, turning to leave the room, pulling the door shut behind him.

Grumbling softly Ty leaned over and gave her head a gentle nuzzle and her cheek a lick. “Bakoo?”

“I just… I thought it would… I was hoping that it…” she tried to keep the tears back, though simply could not with the weight of the news heavy in her chest. “Fuck…”

Ty gently placed a hand on her back, giving a gentle rub before he pulled her into a firm hug as she began to sob, letting her head rest in the soft fluff of her chest. “Bakkooo.” He hummed softly, holding a saddened look as he nuzzled the top of her head, just holding her close to let her cry it out.

It took her nearly 20 minutes to pull herself together enough to pull away from him. She couldn’t muster the energy to even look at Ty as she slung her backpack on her shoulder.

Getting checked out Emily leaned against her partner as he held her close to him, leading her out of the doctors office and back outside to the bustling city streets.

“Hey there you guys are! I was worried that Ty may have passed out from the needles again.” Redgie says with a happy smile and chuckle, looking between them as it quickly fades. “What? What's wrong? Clean bill of health right?”

Ty shook his head slowly as he looked at the scar on his shoulder and then down to Emily’s deeply pained expression, she didn’t even look at Redgie still too wrapped up in her thoughts as she passed by him.

“Oh… oh damn so… like it’s official now?” he asks, rubbing the back of his neck. “Shit that… really fucking sucks… do you want to-” his words fell off as she simply continued to walk away from them. “Emily? Hey Em? Where are you... going?”

Deep inside she already knew it, she knew what the results were going to be, she had thought she was over all of this by now, but hearing the doctor say it out loud was enough to rip her heart back open. She made a complete ass out of herself in there without so much as an apology to the doctor who was just doing his job, he didn’t deserve to get yelled at like that, not after all the help he was trying to give.

“Goddamn it…” Kicking a rock out of frustration she paused long enough to lean against the wall of a building, rubbing her face as a fresh wave of tears threatened to overtake her. “Get it together… you knew from the start…” Silently scolding herself she continued walking.”Gotta get it together… where the fuck am I even going?” she mutters under her breath.

The Celadon Department store. Looking up along the side of the tall building she thought back to the time when her and Redgie first came here on their adventure. It had been years, they were still just teenagers back then when they rushed inside to look at everything it had to offer, now it just seemed like a distant memory.

Walking through the double doors she only offered a glance and a nod to the greeter by the door as they welcomed her, watching aspiring trainers and various other people milling about the lobby, either just arriving at the store or figuring out where to go next. She didn’t stop for more than a second, making her way towards the elevators in the back.

Leaning against the wall inside the elevator she idly looked out the window as she was ferried up the different floors to the fifth floor. It was a pharmacy of sorts, they had special vitamins and minerals they sold that helped boost pokemon's immune systems and response times in both battle and their everyday life, really expensive stuff in her opinion, but in her experience they worked great, or at the very least they did the few times that she had stumbled across recently dropped and unopened bottles out and along on her adventure.

Crossing through the floor she didn’t give the shelves so much as a glance as she passed. Not that she really needed them anymore, at least not very many of them, but that’s not why she was here, she needed a place to think, somewhere not many would go on a cold day like this.

Coming to a stop on the roof of the store Emily gazed out over the city, leaning against the guard rail as she gave a deep shuttered sigh. “Ran off and left them… running away from your problems… real fuckin mature.” she mutters, hanging her head.

Watching the cars pass by below she felt a rattle on her hip, only for Gardevoir's ball to open with a flash of light. It was a little quiet as she fluffed herself out, moving to stand beside Emily and look out over the city. “The Department store?

“Yeah…”

I see… and Ty?” she asks, fixing Emily with a knowing look. “How did everything with his appointment go?

“What do you think?” she snipped at her. “Fucking doctors said he… couldn’t battle anymore… that the fire sacks or whatever are all scarred up and they could rip open if he used too much… you already knew that though.”

Gardevoir regarded her for a moment before moving to stand closer beside her. “Does getting told the news you already knew hurt you master?

“Yes, as a matter of fact it does… and stop with the fucking master shit, I don’t need that right now, I just… I need to be alone and to think.”

She did not flinch at her trainer's words, instead she moved closer, wrapping an arm around Emily’s side.

Gripping the guard rail tighter Emily relaxed, what was the point of getting mad at her? It didn't matter either way. “I don’t want to be touched right now.”

I know, but I will not let you go, not until you hear what it is I have to say Emily.” Leaning in Gardevoir rests her head on her shoulder, looking out over the city with her. “You have a right to be angry, but not at the doctor, not at me, not even at yourself.” She says, lightly petting over Emily’s side. “You are angry because you hurt, because of the thought that you caused all of this. Sometimes accidents can happen that change our lives, or the lives of those that we love forever. No one is to blame, and yet the feelings and beliefs that come with them will still remain.

“Gardevoir I… I appreciate what you’re doing, but I… I can’t with that right now ok? I just can’t handle that.”

The truth is seldom pleasant in this situation, master, and the truth is that Ty will never effectively battle again.” she said, gripping onto Emily a little tighter as she began to tug from her.

“I-I said that’s enough Gardevoir!” She shouted, glaring at her pokemon. “I Know that! Of course I know that! I… god damn it.” she growls, kicking the wall and striking the railing hard. “It’s Not Fucking fair! He worked so fucking hard to get to where he is and Now Look! All of that is gone!” she shouts. Gripping her head she turns, sitting down hard on the ground. “I-I can’t do anything at all to help him either! I-I’ve done everything I can and it’s just so… fucking useless!”

Calmly Gardevoir eased herself down, sitting more on her side as she leaned against Emily, resting a hand on her shoulder. “Precisely master… there is nothing that can be done about it… it is over.” she says softly.

Hugging her legs up against her chest, Emily buried her face against her knees, hugging them tightly in an attempt to hide the fresh tears in her eyes. “I-I don’t… want it to be. H-He deserves more, more than that… so much more…”

Gardevoir’s look softened as she shuffled closer, hugging her arms around her with a soft hum. “I know he does master, but I am afraid this is the end of his battling career… as heavy a weight that is to bear, it is one that we all must.” Petting over Emily’s head she held her with a soft look. “But that is not the end of him. Ty has a very kind heart and is strong willed like you. He will not allow a minor inconvenience like this to keep him from being the best pokemon he can be.

Shivering Emily sniffled, looking up at Gardevoir enough to lean against her. “I-I know… it just… it hurts so much.”

It does, and it will continue to hurt for a while yet, though from that something more will grow master, a new purpose, a new adventure that may prove to be his true calling for all we know. One life ends, and in its stead another will begin, and while we are left with the deep and terrible pain of the life lost, we are also posed an important question. What is next for us?” She asks, looking up at the cloud as they drift by. “What can we now become… now that the previous life has ended? What more can we do?

“I-I don’t know… everythings really fucking blurry right now…” she sniffles, rubbing her face trying to clear away the tears. Gardevoir's hand moved to brace against her cheek, helping to wipe the tears away.

The possibilities for us all are endless, while this pain is fresh and feels raw, we do not yet know what more there is. In the sadness there is wonder, what more can we be? What more can we do? Are we just meant to be this one thing, or is there something else in store for us? Most associate these thoughts with the pain of something they have lost, though with the passing of time and as the pain fades we adapt, we grow, we overcome that which was lost

Looking off to the side Emily shook her head slowly as she sniffled. “That’s a lot of philosophical shit to swallow Gardevoir… can you speak plainly for me please?”

A soft giggle came from Gardevoir as she hugged Emily gently. “Ty may never battle again, but there are more things that he can do besides battle and breathe fire. The possibilities are limited only by the imagination and determination you two have, and with how stubborn you both are I’m certain that you will be able to find something to fill the gap.

“Ahh ok… that’s a lot better… I understand that.” she says, wiping her eyes. “Fuck it still hurts though… on top of everything else going on I don’t even know what to think anymore.”

Are you concerned with the purchase of your new home master?” Gardevoir asks with a tilt of her head. “What more is there that troubles you?

“What you don’t know? Didn’t read my brain to get those little snippets?” Emily retorts, earning a smile from her pokemon. “Yeah, I am a little worried… it’s sort of a big fucking step owning your own place, but with Mom helping me I don’t think I need to worry much about that.”

I see, your mother has always been very kind and helpful, you take after her a great deal… if that is not what is troubling you then what may I ask is master?

Did she dare tell her? One way or another Gardevoir was going to find out about it so there couldn’t be that much harm in it right? “I… had a really vivid dream this morning.”

I see… it was not the dream that you were having of our championship battle was it? Ty told me it had been bothering you for a while afterwards. Trauma of the mind can take a long time to fade and-

“I… n-no not… not that one.” she mutters rubbing the back of her neck, her cheeks were already flushed from having been crying, now they were just glowing with embarrassment. “I… well me and Ty sort of uhhh… we kissed before, like a few weeks ago, not like the baby kisses on the head either it was a kiss kiss… like on the lips.”

I’m sorry you fucking what?” Gardevoir blurted out rather abruptly.

D-Don’t say it like that! I-It was a very emotional time! Like I… had a mental breakdown and Ty was being really helpful and comforting and I just… I-I don’t know why I did it but I-I did and now it’s… given me a weird dream.” Emily muttered, blushing faintly as she interlaced her fingers. “Like… it was a lot more than kissing in the dream.. It started out like that but then it got heavy… like really heavy, tongue was involved… h-he bit my neck… got overtop of me… m-my chest he…” a little shiver slipped from her recounting the dream.

Gardevoir regarded her for a moment with a wide eyed expression, clearing her throat. “Wow I… was not expecting that, I have to admit.” She says, patting Emily’s shoulder as her eyes give a soft purple glow. “Oh my word, that was a very vivid dream.

“Gardevoir get the fuck out of my brain!” She stated abruptly, giving the psychic type an embarrassed push. “Guuh! It’s embarrassing when you say things like that!!”

Snickering a little into her hand Gardevoir sat back a little to regard Emily with a smile. “Forgive me master, I was not prepared to jump onto such a topic so abruptly after trying to ease your troubled heart. It is simply easier for me to see for myself what transpired than listening to you try and recount the details.

“Yeah well ask me first, it feels weird when you’re poking around in my brain, like I can feel the tingling and it’s fucking weird man!” she grumbles, folding her arms over her chest. After a few minutes of pouting Emily hesitantly looked back up at Gardevoir. “I’m… not weird… right?.”

Of course you are not weird master, elevated emotions can make us do and experience interesting things, you and Ty share a deep bond that has grown strong over the years, it is common to fantasize about those you love and hold so dearly.

“Yeah I-I guess so… it’s just… Ty’s sort of a pokemon and I’m… a human, I thought that sort of thing was like… very frowned upon or something, Like I know that… there’s people out there that fiddle-fuck around with their pokemon, everyone knows that, it’s just… It’s really taboo and strange and… I-I don’t know.”

I must admit humans have… an interesting outlook of such things, while very few would publicly admit to such deeds, they are ever present from what I have noticed.

“How would you know something like that Gardevoir?” She asks giving her pokemon an almost accusatory amount of sass.

The minds of the professor's aids are not as pure as the professor himself, they had interesting thoughts, fantasies and urges that were consistently present when I was helping around the lab. Needless to say some of them were quite detailed. Also the internet is a valuable source of informantion.

“That’s fucking disgusting, I’m not letting you go back there to work around perverts… in fact I’m probably gonna stop by and pick up Piko while I’m at it, don’t need him getting molested either.” she grumbles, the thought of anyone looking at her pokemon like that was strangely very upsetting for her.

Aww come now master, I am a fully grown female that some find rather attractive, it is alright to let them have their thoughts so long as they don’t try and act upon it… end even if they do, if they woo me properly who’s to say I would not mind to partake?

“Oh my god Gardevoir! You sound like you want them to think that way around you! Weren't you supposed to be working while you were there with the professor? Not be eye candy for the perverted staff.” she retorts with a grunt.

There is nothing wrong with being curious master, pokemon do not really share the same views as humans on such things, if one sways or coerces you properly who’s to say you would not have a fun time? Sexual intercourse is very healthy to reduce stress and even help prevent heart conditions

“That’s… really? You guys don’t really care who it is so long as they can score or not?” she asks, getting a pat on the head from her pokemon.

It’s not so black and white master, as with humans we have a… checklist so to speak, if a being is clean and healthy, has common interests and opinions, and appeals to that carnal desire I don’t see why not.

“Oh ok, glad to know my pokemon have standards at least.” she mutters, rubbing the back of her neck for a moment as she looks at Gardevoir. “Do you… I-I don’t know… my heads a fucking mess right now. I don’t know whether I need to cry more, or scream or just… god damn it.” she sighs, hugging her arms around her legs to rest her chin on her knee’s.

Whatever you need to do to let the pain out, coming to terms with all of this starts with one step at a time, not rushing through it to get it out of the way. Understand, Accept, Prevail.

“Easy for you to say…” Emily grunts, looking up to the cloudy sky. Her thoughts lingered on what the doctor said, the news tugging at her heart as she pulled the phone from her pocket. Scrolling through the list of numbers she held the phone up to her ear. “Hi yeah, this is Emily… Emily Verner… I need to speak to Dr Lu… yes I was just there for a visit… everything ok I just need to speak to the doctor for a sec.” she says, leaning against gardevoir. “Hey doc… I wanted to apologize for how I acted back there… No I know it can be an emotional situation, still doesn’t excuse me for being a total dick about it… thank you for all your help today with Ty today, I’ll be sure to give you guys a call if anything comes up.”

Gardevoir smiled as she held an arm around her trainer, leaning her head against Emily’s as she finished with her phone call. “You should probably call Redgie too and let him and Ty know where you’re at.

“I will… I’m not worried about Ty, he’s already accepted this completely, he had months ago at our first appointment here, that or he’s hella good at hiding his emotions.”

You are correct, he knew the moment that he woke up from the first surgery he had that he wouldn’t use his flames again, he has been mostly worried about you this entire time.” she spoke as she nuzzled Emily’s head. “If you need to talk I am always more than willing to listen and help where I can, whether it be about Ty’s condition, or your fantasies. I am not one to judge.

“I know… you’re the most mature one in my whole team… besides Milotic that is.” she grunts, shivering as a strong cold wind rushed over the top of the building. “Guuh… that being said I think it’s time to get moving… don’t want to just sit up here crying in public all day, the boy’s will worry.”

They are already worried, go ahead and call Redgie, I’ll get us something to drink from the vending machine.

Reluctantly Emily pressed herself up, leaning against the guard rail as she scrolled through her contacts.

After a quick phone call and a few minutes of waiting Redgie hurried up the steps to the department store with Ty hobbling along behind him on all fours. Emily had gotten her jacket on and was sitting on a bench with Gardevoir, sipping on sodas together.

Seeing his trainer Ty hurried over and hugged his arms around Emily, nearly knocking the drink out of her hands as he whined with a tearful look. “O-Oh god Ty buddy be careful! I-I’m ok!”

Gardevoir smiled, Floating Emily’s drink from her as the fire badger hugged her tightly. “I wouldn’t say that, but you are much better now than you were a few minutes ago.

Resting his hands on his hips, Redgie shook his head with a look of relief. “Well you didn’t jump off so that’s good.” he chuckles, getting a loud whine from Ty. “I’m only joking… pore taste right now I get it… So what’s next then?”

Emily patted Ty’s back as she sighs. “Coming to terms with it… getting back up on my feet, more therapy.” she mutters, pushing Ty from her to pat his side. “First things first though… sorry for running off like that, I needed a place to cry and vent, didn’t want you guys seeing me fall apart like that.”

Smiling softly, Redgie shook his head. “Wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen it happen and it won’t be the last, but I can understand, no need to apologize.”

“I’ll throw you off this rooftop and say you fell.” Emily stated plainly getting a chuckle from him. “But yeah, you’re probably right… one things for sure it’s friggan cold out here.”

“Yeah it is, we’re supposed to be getting snow in a couple of days… look Em, I’m sorry about Ty.”

“Don’t be.” Emily says as she pressed herself up from the bench, taking her soda from Gardevoir’s psychic hold. “Like I said before, we’ll overcome and adapt… he might not be able to battle as effectively anymore, but that doesn’t mean he can’t do anything… he’s alive and I’m grateful for that. We’ll get through it together, find something else you're good at… right?”

Ty gave her a saddened smile, nodding his head with a sniffle. “Bak!” he states firmly as he puffs out his chest.

“That a girl… that being said I do have a bit of news that you might want to hear.” Redgie says with a smile. “I actually bumped into Lance while at the hospital, apparently he was waiting there for you, said he had something urgent that he needed to discuss with you, pokemon league business or something like that.”

Emily’s expression soured as she scowled. “Hard pass, that guy can fucking eat a dick and die.” she stated firmly, turning up her drink to finish it off.

“Ehhh yeah I figured that’s what you would have said, he was asking about you and I told him that you just got some really bad news about your pokemon, told him about Ty and everything that’s been going on with his situation.”

“Redgie you know I hate that guy, no need to go wasting your breath on him in my stead.” Emily retorts, tossing the empty bottle into the recycling bin.

“Come on Em, You said it yourself that all of that business with the battle was an accident, don’t blame the guy for it, besides he looked devastated at the news, it wouldn’t kill you to at least give the guy a phone call.”

“Yeah no, not gonna happen. If he needs something he can tell the League to write it up and mail it to me, I’m not talking to that assbite.” Emily says as she folded her arms.

Forgiveness is important, but it can take time, Redgie, when she is ready to forgive him I’m sure that Emily will speak with Lance… or maybe not… what is it that he wanted to speak with her about?

“He wouldn’t say, said that it was for her ears only and it was official league business, he did give me his number though and asked me to pass it along to you if you’re interested.”

“Delete it, like I said I have no interests or intentions to talk to that guy, end of discussion.” She stated firmly. “Now lets get going, freezing my ass off out here and I want to get home before it gets any colder.

“Alright, alright. Made your point… can we… still go to that mom and pop shop around the corner that has the really good chinese food?”

Starting to protest him Emily paused in thought before giving him a squinted stare. “Ok yeah that’s fine, we can go there and get some food, but after that I want to get heading back, especially if that prick’s here in the city.”

“Oh my god yess! I love that place so much.” Redgie hisses with a fist pump, clapping his hands together as he hurried over to the steps. “Alright come on then, the brown man hungers for lo mein noodles!” he says with a shout of excitement.

“Oh my god Redgie! Don’t shout stuff like that in public!” Emily sighs, shaking her head as she follows along after him. She paused as Ty hugged up against her side, giving her a nuzzle and a lick on the cheek. “I love you too buddy… I’ll be ok, just processing everything.” she says leaning against him.

Ty trilled happily, reaching out to hug Gardevoir in tight as well. “Bak! Baklooo!!”

He is very excited that he did not have to have any shots this time around. I believe things are going to start getting much better from here on out Master, so long as we stick together we can overcome anything… that being said I would like to go back into my ball now, it is very cold out here.

“Yeah I know… come on then, if we keep Redgie waiting on his noodles he’ll actually get upset and he’s sort of our ride home.” She chuckles, recalling Gardevoir back into her ball before hurrying down the steps.
