Well At least I am still posting not as fast as I want to but better than nothing.

Disclaimer: I do not own pokemon. It is the proptey of Nintendo and Game freak.

Also some help form pokegirl with editing. Though she did try to turn this in to a teaching lesson.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was a great story about traveling below the sea. Well, when you are younger, you think that is how the sea is, like one grand adventure. Like fighting a giant Tentacruel.

Reality is never that fun. It is a harsh, uncaring, and cruel world.

Jeff barely dodges the large tentacle that smashes into the ship's deck. Sending pieces of the deck everywhere. The large poison/water pokemon flails its large tentacles, attacking the ninetales as they try to escape its reach. Jeff can do little but put up a weak attack with the weapons on the deck; some harpoons or discarded cutlass. Jeff was not the strongest person, nor the best trained warrior from where he came from. Hell, most smart people had a pokemon to help in battle. No, he was not allowed to have that because of those he was trying to save. Arceus must be having a laugh right now. Jeff runs up with a Harpoon. Damn! This thing was heavier than it looked. He grunts, throwing it with all his might . It flies through the air as it reaches it's mark.

Well, almost.

The tentacruel snatches it from the air and breaks it in half as if it was nothing more than a twig. For all intents and purposes it was a twig.

This was not good. The so called legendary pokemon were in trouble. He was trying to save these firefoxes from being killed and now he was doing his best not to join them . He sees some being smashed around like toys.

Where the fuck is a god damn pikachu ?! At least that would help in this battle.

The ninetales were stuck between a rock and a hard place. The tentacruel was attacking them on the boat and the beach was no better. They were surrounded by the pokemon there.

The psychopath of a leader was just laughing, as if he wanted pure destruction. He could hear others yelling at the leader that a storm was coming. The dark clouds had already shut out the light from the sun out.

The air had changed. Living in this port town, you knew the signs immediately. The taste of the air had the taste of the sea. He could feel the pressure of the air grow heavier as he saw the lightning in the dark clouds.

The boat began to rock, not from the giant pokemon, but the harsh waves that were crashing against it. This was not going to end well. They had to get off! But then what? They would have to deal with the pokemon on the beach and the rain that was coming was not going to help matters. The lightning was coming closer. He heard the thunderclap coming in shorter. What could be done?

Suicune was getting up but the electabuzz was still a problem. He would take her down again. He hoped his aim was good and that they had enough power to make him lash out at his own teammates.

"Pyra! Tell the others to attack the electabuzz as soon as I throw the spear! Make it confused or something... I need it to attack his comrades!"

"My name is not Pyra but why? Many are too weak to do much." She sounds scared.

He was terrified but trying not to show it. He had to be strong and try to carry out Pyra's father last request.

A voice deep inside was telling him to “run away, to run from all of this. Let them all die!" He just wanted to go home. He wanted a normal life. Yet, it always came back to that damn ninetales. It did not help that Pyra looked like that ninetales.

His hatred and bloodlust came forth once more. As most moved away from him, Pyra stayed by his side, trying to understand his anger. It didn't seem to affect her.

Too much was happening. His plan was a longshot at best and a death wish at worse.

"Get them off the boat and attack that electabuzz! If he attacks Suicune again, we all die here, Pyra!"

She growls at him but does as he asks, telling the others to help the legendaries. Jeff once more tries to fight, to save those fire pokemon still in the tentacurel's tentacles. He grabs a cutlass in a vain hope to hurt the monster pokemon.

-On the Beach-

Raikou's attacks were being deflected by that effing electabuzz. That foolish pokemon was following his ignorant master. The other pokemon were beginning to become afraid of the storm that was brewing. The thunder filled the air as the ion from the lightning made electabuzz and Raikou's power grow... but that was a problem.

If it got worse, it would affect Suicune. She was barely moving as it was. That damn electabuzz.

Raikou's anger kept most of them away but the electabuzz was still getting jabs in, staying away, knowing he could still bite and maul him to death.

They had few options as the human was still laughing with glee when it started to rain. The tentacruel was still about to destroy the ship and Jeff was on there with Pyra and her kind.

At that moment, the ninetales came pouring off the ship, mostly running others over with no real attacks save one lone fire or iron tail attack. It almost seemed to be a rampaging herd of touros.

Many of the pokemon on the beach were taken by surprise at this. The pokemon they had caged and abused were striking back. It wasn't strength that was winning, it was numbers. While weak, many of the pokemon owned by the traders were too terrified to do more than scattered or be run over.

The electrobuzz was trying his best to keep his master safe until it was too late to realize who his opponent was.

Suicune.

The water goddess fired off an ice beam, freezing the electric type solid as it fell over with an expression of shock on it.

Suicune falls over exhausted.

Raikou uses this chance to take down the human but a shot rings out as the human is shaking in rage in fear.

"Back you fools! I will kill and skin you all, don't think I won't!" He screams out in fear as the ninetales gather around him, ready to attack him. He is pointing the gun at each one, unable to decide who to kill first. He pulls the trigger. A fizzle is heard and the ninetales flinch. They all growl as he throws the weapon at the fire canines as they pounce at him. He screams in terror as they begin to rip him to shreds.

"Good riddance foolish... ah!" Raikou cries out as he is hit by something from the ship. He shakes his head as he sees the Tentacruel enrage. Without the human, it is out of control.

Crap.

Many of the ninetales begin to leave, helping others who are weak from what was done, not wanting to do anymore than just leave.

Raikou sees Pyra run up to him.

"Jeff says to attack it as it rains. With your strongest attack, the water and the rain, it should defeat it."

"I will. Where is he at?"

Raikou sees Jeff trying to rescue the last ninetales in the grips of the tentacruel.

"Get his dumb ass out of there or I will end up killing him, Pyra!"

Pyra nods. She is about to leave but another ninetales is there. Her brother.

"What are you doing, my sister? Why do you go back for one whose kind did this to us?"

“...I have to."

With that, she runs around her brother. He tries to stop her but Raikou prevents him.

"You are in no condition to fight. Help my sister get away from here, I am about to use all my power to bring my wrath down onto this monster. Now, go!"

Her brother sees her run up the ramp as he finally leaves.

Raikou watches the ninetales leave, seeing others help his sister away as he gathers his strength. The rain begins to pour. The wind whips the rain in different directions as the ship begins to rock with abandon. He prays Jeff can get off soon. The electricity begins to wrap around his body as is crackles around the ground, around him. He needs a little more time.

-on the boat-

This is insane!

As Jeff is thrown like a rag doll, he finds he has injured the great beast with the cutlass but it's little more than a paper cut to it. Not that he hasn't tried! The ninetales was released but it was already dead; the beast had already crushed it. It lay on the deck, blood coming from its open mouth. Jeff does his best to keep his stomach contents from coming forth again.

Pyra, hurry up and tell his dumb ass!

He hears someone screaming, the rain coming down. He had to get out of there. If Raikou attacked now, he would be fried.

The tentacruel refuses to let him go. Despite how small and weak he is compared it, he still hurt it and, like anything you annoy, it wanted to swat him like the bug.

What Jeff wouldn't do for a Ferrow right now. He could fly away from this shit.

The last second he sees a tentacle. He holds up his arms in a vain attempt to block the attack, knowing it will hurt like hell. He is tackled hard by something.

He panics a bit before seeing it is Pyra.

"Jeff! We must leave now! Raikou is about to attack and he is not going to wait." She sees the ninetales he stayed behind for and she weeps for another packmate gone.

She feels it again, the pain and sorrow from Jeff. Despite his anger towards her kind, he still feels for them.

It begins to hurt her.

Why?

Jeff has never shown her anything but spite and named her despite her protest.

She is picked up as a loud crash is heard.

"Don't space out. We are out of here! Come on, Pyra, once we're off Raikou will attack."

They both run towards the edge of the ship to jump. It happens all at once. Some tentacles come for them. Jeff dodges them but hears a loud yip.

Pyra is not moving. Running towards her, he sees blood coming from her mouth .

The clouds get darker and he realizes it is too late. They will not make it in time. He can feel it the power of a legendary. The energy in the air makes him hesitate but he has no choice. The open water is his only hope. He won't make it off in time to make it to the beach. Picking Pyra up , he runs for the open water of the ship and hopes he can get away.

Raikou roars as the sky is filled with a white light. He hopes Jeff is off by now as he calls down the powers given to him by Arceus. A large bolt of lightning comes down on the Tentacruel. Its body glows as it takes the full brunt of the attack. The ship has little hope of surviving the attack. As begins to break apart and begin to descend into the water.

Raikou is proud of his attack as he sees the giant squid pokemon burning as it sinks into the water.

"Please. Jeff be safe." He breathes heavily as he tries to stand almost wasted from the attack.

Jeff jumps off the ship as he feels the air change, his sight filled with a white light and he realizes is about to die.

Raikou has attacked and he was in the air.

He feels the attack come down, hitting the tentacruel.No sound is heard for a brief second. Then he feels the shock wave and hears the thunderclap hitting him all at once, sending Pyra (whom he is holding onto tightly) and himself flying through the air. The rain stopped for a second as they fell crashing into the water. Everything hits him. The pain ringing in his ears from the lack of air.

Shit! Pyra will try to breath despite being out. Yet he can't figure out which way is up . He was told when out to sea. If you are thrown into the ocean you will panic. No matter how much you train You will panic. When it happens, it is chaos . He swims for what he hopes is the surface.

It seems like forever as he carries Pyra's limp form with him, breaking the surface and gasping for air.

The rain is coming down. He looks around for land, but he is nowhere near where he hoped. He won't make it to the beach. It is too far and the storm is carrying him away with the rough current. He sees another beach but he will pass it soon if he does not make the effort to make it there.

“Sink or Swim." a sailor told him. The sea is unforgiving. It will take your life and those close to you if it wishes. You must fight to live. You must fight to see another day.

He prays those swimming lessons will pay off as he makes an effort to make it to land.

The water hits him attempting to pull him under. He tries his best to make it to the land. The waves attempt to drown him and Pyra. NO! He was not going to let it end here! Fighting for all his worth, his luck took a turn, for better, or worse. A large wave comes up behind him and crashes into him it does two things. While shoving him under the water, it also pushes him towards a small beach. He breaks once more to the surface, seeing it's a few more yards .

Then his body decides to betray him.

His legs seize up. The cold water and his fighting so much make his body betray him as he cannot swim as the crashing water engulfs him.

This is how it ends? He tired to do good and the world turned against him as he is pulled underwater. He begins to blackout as he sees something. It is too late as he can not keep his eyes open anymore.

--The forest near the beach--

"WHERE IS MY SISTER RAIKOU!!!!" The sharp roar cut through the dying sounds of rain and thunder, though the Ninetales' voice broke into a fit of coughing, still weak from being captured.

Raikou looks away, feeling guilty he had little choice, he had to release the attack, any attempt to delay could have been disastrous.

"I do not know! She went back for Jeff to get him off the ship. After that, I do not know."

The ninetales is about to attack when he is hit in the face with water. Suicune looks at the firefox in anger.

"We just saved your sorry asses and this is your thanks? Small wonder why Jeff hates your kind. I could feel his anger towards you all, but the one we called Pyra. She begged him to save you ungrateful mutts. By the way, you're welcome." She snarls and many lower their heads in shame.

" I had little choice if the tentacruel made it to land it would have caused much more damage, best to kill it out in the water." Raikou states

"Where is she? I want her back ! My father is gone, I was told by others that he was killed by them, those humans. We should burn their so called settlement."

Some agree, others seem to say that was too much.

Suicune shakes her head. "All it will do is unite the humans against us . We must not do that. We had trouble with those humans who took you all. Now you want the other humans to help them? They already tamed so many pokemon. No, best to leave them alone. When the storm passes, I will search for them. No, I do not need your help." She growls at the ninetales.

"I can run on water, you cannot. I can cover more than you can. Raikou will search the beach and the surrounding area to see if they made it to land elsewhere."

The ninetales glares at Suicune "I will find her and kill that human with her."

At that Raikou walked up to the ninetales. "You will do no such thing. I promised to send him home. I will honor my word." Raikou glares at the ninetales as he backs down from Raikou's angry glare.

"You are in no shape to help your pack has been injured too badly. They need days to recover before they can do anything. Let us handle this." Suicune smiles as she looks out in the rain coming down as the trees prevent them from getting too wet. She hopes the human is well as he fought hard to protect them. She wonders if he would care if he knew what they thought of him.

Jeff awakens with a start as he begins to cough. Feeling the water coming from his throat, he tries to breathe but the water is still there as he coughs up more water.

"Be at ease human. Try breathing slowly I found you nearly drowned with your companion." The voice was light and feminine?

Jeff tries to regain his bearings as his breathing is harsh but slow, trying to remember what happen? The boat the, giant pokemon, and ... damn. The attack. Damn Raikou is powerful.

He is able to roll onto his back as he notices he is in a cave, a long blue and white pokemon looking at him. Something he never expected to see. A dragonair. They were rare to capture and even rarer to see in the wild.

Then it hits him.

"PYRA !!!" He stands up then falls over coughing as his legs give out on him. What the hell happened to him?

They nearly drown, he tried to make it to the beach. He was so weak and his body ache so much from all the exertion.

"She is well, human I can see you care for her. I had a hard time to prying her from you. She is on my bed, though her life flame grows weak. . I can do little for her here to give her warmth." She says sadly.

"No, no, no! I have to warm her up! I need wood, any wood. He makes an effort to get up, his body aching so much with the promises of more pain.

"No, you are still injured." She sees him limping as he heads outside the cave. He looks around and realizes everything is wet that means all the wood is wet not good. The worst of the storm is over, just rain. He had to get wood, it didn't matter about it being wet, he had to warm her up .

Then what? He could not light it up he didn't have his survival kit from home. Pyra was to weak to do any fire attack. He looks around the cave for anything that could be used to be burnt. Even if he start the fire the wood was wet. Burning wet wood in a cave would suffocate them from all the excess smoke the fire would cause.

There was another way. He didn't want to think about doing that. Yet he was cold shivering and the only way for them both to survive was to share their heat. Which meant to strip. His clothing could air dry but he needed to do it now before he caught pneumonia. This was only going to work if she agreed with him.

" Dragonair. I need your help . Without it I could die and so will my friend. ' He starts to feel it the cold. His clothing being wet doesn't help as the wind blows, making him shiver more.

"My name is Laura. What can I do for you human?" Her black eyes seem to pierce him but he ignores them.

"We need to keep her warm. I need to hold her and share my body heat with her ." He can feel his body shake more, as he is feeling the cold rip through his clothing he had to get these clothes off.

He begins to undress, stopping as he realizes what he is about to do. He is going to be nude in front of a pokemon .

"What's wrong, Jeff? You humans are weird with that skin you wear. I shed mine and move on less hassle that way." She says proudly.

Jeff thinks about it. Pokemon are always naked. It is humans who need clothing, not them. As he makes his way to Pyra, he feels her soft fur how cold she is to his touch.

"Damn it!" He takes everything off except his underwear. He just can't bring himself to go all the way. He lays next to Pyra and pulls her close holds her to his body he hopes this works.

Laura moves close to them as she giggles " You look so cute holding her like that but what can I do?"

" I need you to coil around us to keep us close and add your heat to ours."

She smiles at him kindly doing as he ask and coils around them both.

"Usually I ask to go out on a date before I court a male like this, but I will play along. You both need the warmth." She lays her head on his shoulder and nuzzles him. " You sure you're not her mate?"

He blushes "No! I am not I just want her to keep her promise to me. It won't help if she dies." He grumbles.

She giggles at his words. " I am teasing you know. If my brother was here he could have given you both more warmth."

"Brother ?"

"Yes my brother is a dragonite." Laura nuzzles him playfully.

-Else where at the fur traders camp-

Some pokemon lay dead, shot to death along with their human owners.

"You all let my brother die and you expect mercy? Fools!" He pulls out his gun and shoot another human as he reloads it.

"Explain to me how you all lost, despite having that monster we had?"

They all look away as the humans and pokemon look at their fallen comrades.

"They had legendaries sir The great Raikou and Suicune. We did not expect them to come here to free the ninetales. "

The man is sitting on a log his clothing consist that of an overcoat of a captain but looks ragged. From many years of use, its faded blue color shows the age of the jacket. He taps the barrel of the gun on his head as he looks at the surviving pokemon and humane. He exhales softly getting up, he aims his gun at the man then points it at his Typhlosion and pulls the trigger. The shot is loud making many jump. The typhlosion snaps it's head back as as blood pours forth from the wound. It's body falls over with a loud thud. Its human owner is stunned as he looks down at his pokemon then feels the barrel of the gun in his stomach. With fear in his eyes he looks at his captain then five rapid shots are heard. As the captain unloaded the gun into the sailor.

All look stunned by this brutal execution.

" I heard a human was with them. Is that right?" The captain ask still looking at his two new kills.

He hears a mumbles of yes from his men and the pokemon speech equivalent to a yes.

" Find him and the legendaries I will sell their sorry asses to cover the losses. If you find the boy bring him to me alive I have something in store for him. Isn't that right ye big friend?" A large dragonite lands behind the captain with a look of anger on it's face, but simply nods.

Pyra wakes, or so she thinks. She seems to be running ,but she is not a vulpix but a ninetales yet she feels fear they are chasing her again. The mightyenas purse her as they once did days ago. Despite her best efforts to get away she ends up in a dead end against the cliff side of the mountain.

She turns and readies herself for battle.

One mightyena looks at her and laughs " What are you going to do little vulpix? Cry?" He laughs as the other join.

She is about to yell at the dark canines. It is then she notices she is now a vulpix. The same scared little one that they chased that day as she begins to cry. She calls out for her family.

"You mean them. " some dead bodies are thrown in front of her and it is her mother father and brother. Their bodies litter with bite marks and torn fur from there bodies.

She becomes more terrified as she calls out for anyone to help.

They all laugh but it stops as someone picks her up and holds her close .

" You are such a drama queen you know that?" His voice is someone she knows. The voice gives her comfort and peace of mind. Something else it makes her feel something she has never felt before. The warmth of from the embrace comforts her as she knows she is safe.

She looks up to see mightyenas are gone.

As she is once more on the ground and notices a warmth she felt is gone as she is no longer being embraced.

The scene changes around her as does her body as she once more is a ninetales. She is greeted to a crying human boy. She sees her kind surrounding the boy. Then they just turn there back on him. It confuses him why they would do that. She hears voices call the boy cursed, a bane to his parents.

She feels his pain as it seems to cut her deep as any wound would. She can feel him wanting to be happy yet each scene is of him being shun by everyone makes the pain worse. His anger grows as it seems to infictmore pain on Pyra. Pain she has never felt before. Pyra feels like her heart is about to break.

It is then she sees a ninetales and it looks familiar to her but she can't tell why.

The ninetales seems to be watching the boy who is slowly getting older. Yet the ninetales shows no emotion towards the boy who is becoming a teen.

His anger towards this ninetales grows until it sees him with a human female. The teen is older and it was…. Jeff?

She feels his happiness grow for this human female. Then the ninetales grows angry. It seems to want to destroy the human female . Pyra tries to stop it but she can do nothing as she realizes she is not real none of this is real.

Was this Jeff's dreams, but how was she here at all?

The ninetales seem to make the human female leave. As she feels Jeff's sorrow, anger and bitterness. Was this the cause of his hatred of her and her kind? Why would one of her kind do this to him. It was a small wonder he seem to be angry with her all the time.

The landscape changes again as she sees him in a tent. They were at the camp where her kind were capture.

She can only feel great sorrow as she sees her father. He is on some weird rock made of wood? What was this she was seeing?

He is injured from the long cut on his stomach as her father seems to be in great pain. Jeff is there shaking saying something she cannot hear. Why is he not doing anything to help? He can help her father! Why was he not helping? The anguish from Jeff is making her cry more she calls out to her father. She sees Jeff with a metal object what was he going to do to her father. He suddenly plunges the object into her father as he becomes stiff then relaxes with a smile on his face.

Pyra screams at Jeff in anger for not helping her father, but killing him. Yet .... he was crying? Jeff was in grief over killing her father. Why was he in such sadness?

She hears her father in her mind saying thank you to Jeff and for protecting his daughter.

She was startled by these words her father could read minds and project his words to others did this mean Jeff could not save him? He knew her father was going to die No! Her father was strong Jeff failed her he... he… she could not continue her thoughts were a mess. She was confused and alone.

Very much alone.

"No he did as I asked little one." A soft kind voice comes from behind Pyra

She turns to see her father. She runs to him crying, but goes right through him.

"Father?" She skids to a stop looking at her father's ghostly form

" I am gone my daughter. I have little time left. I came to say goodbye.

I have told your mother and brother goodbye. Now it is your turn." The great ninetales looks down at his daughter with such pride. “You have grown so much in such a little time. I am sad I was not there for you naming. Though Prya is a great name given to you by the human."

"NO! YOU CAN'T BE DEAD YOU ARE THE PACK'S ALPHA!!!" She is crying now hard. "He failed he said he would save you all. " she weeps bitterly.

" I know dear I read his thoughts of what happened. He is in pain dear. Such a pain. Pain I have never felt in anyone such as he in all my seasons in this forest. He does care, but this pain he has is killing him. He cannot continue holding this grudge. If he does it will consume him. You must forgive him. He needs to hear someone does care for him. I know you do blame him, but I do not. So I ask you to look inside yourself and forgive him. He could not have saved me no matter how hard he tried. "

She is crying as he moves closer to her as his tails embrace her and she feels them caress her with their power. She looks up at her father with such sadness in her eyes. Tears begi to from in her eyes. A tail comes up and wipes her tears away.

"My little pix has grown so much. You are as beautiful as your mother." She blushes as his words.

"Know this little pix. He needs you more than ever. You must keep him from falling into despair. One day he will ask you to do something. It will be the hardest thing for you to do, but you must make a decision to honor his word or follow your heart."

He moves his tails move away from her as she looks up him as he begins to fade.

"No father please don't leave me. I need you I don't want you to go. Please don't leave me alone. Not again..." She weeps

"You are never alone as your family is there and Jeff is also." His tail touches her chest.

"He is part of you as you are part of him. Know Arceus has had Jirachi grant you wish you wanted. Even if you did not know you wanted it. You will be so strong my daughter you will surpass me one day and when you do, know what you do will be for him."

With that he fades from her sight as she cries out for him.

She opens her eyes as she feels her eyes wet but feel someone holding her and is coiled around her?

She feels something weird holding her and then sees Jeff, and he isn't wearing his clothing. She is blushing as the warmth from his body is being shared with her. It makes her feel different . Nothing like when she slept alongside her family.

It is something else.

It is then she sees a head sleeping on Jeff's shoulder.

A dragonair?

She moves her head around to see where she is at. A cave she assumes seeing the entrance of to this cave as the sun is pouring in . What had happened to them? She had few memories of what happened. She felt a sharp pain on her side, then nothing. She looks at Jeff and sighs thinking what she had seen and her father's words.

Jeff was going to ask of something of her and was she going to follow it? Was she going to do something that affect his life and hers? It was all too much for her to comprehend as she dozed off to sleep once more. Murring in his embrace as her tails try to wrap around Jeff.

Well here it is going to try to wrap this up soon.I hope.
