A Nightmare: Chapter 6

Polybius stares at the little creature in front of him for a second before Aqua sees Folvos and chirps happily walking over to him. Folvos picks him up and looks at Polybius clearly very destressed and worried. " FOLVOS!!! Mind explaining what this THING is doing in my house!?!" Folvos flinches. "W-well you know how sometimes you find a h-hurt animal and y-you want to make it feel better? Well I kinda found Aqua when I went for a walk one day and he was alone in a bush a-and he looked really cute and he was clearly lost and so I took him to 'our' home and I'm really sorry but he's grown on me... Please don't hurt him!" Polybius glares at Folvos and makes him whimper and hide into himself slightly causing Aqua too look towards Polybius tilting his head. Polybius sighs and looks at Aqua as well as Folvos. "You know, almost all of me is screaming to attack you for bringing this animal into my home..." Folvos backs away and shields Aqua from Polybius slightly. "But... you have been a somewhat decent friend. I think maybe it's time you went home Folvos." Polybius states sternly and points to the room Folvos had borrowed. "Pack your bags and take... Aqua with you." Folvos looks happy now he knows he won't be attacked and nods enthusiastically running past Polybius and quickly packing his bag. "Polybius, I know you are mad but thank you for~" Polybius silences him with a 'shush'. "You are right, I am mad you would bring a wild animal into our home without even telling us. However, you have been a good friend and although Mina will not be please with my decision it is necessary for us. I shall call upon you when I believe the enemy has attacked and we shall find our way back into... that place... so we can destroy Zephilyber and bring peace back to our world." Polybius finishes his short rant as Folvos shoves the last of his clothing back into his back pack and places Aqua on top of his clothing before zipping it up. Aqua happily pokes his head out the top of the bag and chirps happily as Folvos picks up the bag placing it on his back.

The trio head back down into Polybius's lab and Folvos looks back over the box that contained the armor and weapon Polybius made for him. "Polybius. I mean it. Thank you for telling me your secrets, thank you for preparing me... Thank you for taking me in..." Folvos smiles softly at Polybius as the portal opens up and Polybius sighs. "I may be being a bit harsh but that means a lot." Polybius glances up at Folvos and smiles back at him friendlily. Polybius walks to Folvos and nods to the Portal. "You first." States Folvos motioning forwards. Polybius looks confused. "I'm not coming with you?" "Oh, well this is awkward, I thought you were coming with us?" Folvos looks confused. "No, I'm just here to drop you and Aqua off." "Oh... well. See you later Polybius, we'll meet again." Polybius hands Folvos a note with their phone number scribbled on it. "Indeed we will Folvos, Indeed we will." Polybius nods and Folvos pockets the note before stepping through the portal.

It takes a moment but Folvos watches the world turn to black. Aqua chirps slightly surprised and begins looking around as Folvos pulls him around to his front and begins softly petting his head. "It's ok Aqua... I just hope my dad doesn't find you..." Aqua gives a content chirp before looking up at Folvos almost sensing his negative emotions. Aqua begins to climb out of the bag and up on top of Folvos shoulder before attempting to scratch Folvos's head similar to the way he had been doing to Aqua. Folvos just smiled softly at his cute escapades before beginning to put him back in the bag smiling softly. "Thank you Aqua." Folvos smiles at Aqua before moving the bag back around to his back. Folvos notices color coming back into view so he prepares to come out of the teleporter. The first thing Folvos notices when he comes out the other side of the swirling black portal is the burning buildings; then the piles of rubble that use to be buildings; and finally the three soldiers in black armor that don't have tails...
