Rise Up
#1 of Poetry
So I've risen once again from my watery grave, Left all my fears and my doubts in the land of the waves And here in the land of the ice and the flame Gonna fly into the sky, and spread my burning name
The chains that I wore have been broken and remade Into a brand new sharp and unbending spear blade No longer a slave to all my yesterdays Tomorrow is mine, and I'm here to claim!
Those who will oppose me will be scattered and torn Their cries echoing from the dusk 'til the morn And those who stand with me will earn their own praise As I carry them up with me into the brighter days.
My wings are free, there's no bridle on my face Except for the golden ones I accept with grace The light of the sun warm and bright on my flank As I write my story, filling all of the blanks.
I'll build my castle on the clouds above But remember the mountains that taught me to love With that solid foundation, I will rise to any height Create a safe haven full of joy and light.
