The Beast
It is a poem about what I think Depression is and me and my girlfriends battle against it.
It stalks you in the night, waiting and wanting you to fail, and you want to resist, you want to fight, but all you can do is scream and wail, You wish someone would help, But it whispers no one will save you, So you believe him so deeper you delve, you want to destroy it, but it would take you too, Well you aren't alone, he has me as well, I will stand by your side, we will get through his twisted hell, even if I die, I will love you until the end, and against the beast, we will win.
