“Buck…this is beautiful" Lacy said in wonder as I walked with her along the edge of the water. I found this lake during one of my hiking trips, in the woods just outside of town. It was very well hidden behind the thick foliage and trees. It was not an easy place to get to either. I had to carry Lacy half of the trip to keep her from stepping or getting caught by all of the briers and thorn bushes. The path I took was covered in em', along with dozens of rocks and above ground tree roots that could easily trip you. It might have been difficult, but it was all well worth it.

“I thought you'd like it". I pulled a flower from a nearby rosebush and ran it through my grasp to break off all of the thorns. “For you, my pretty fox" I held out the rose and let her take it from between my fingers.

“How lovely, thank you". She brought it up to her nose and inhaled deeply, “It smells sweet". She placed the rose over her ear and moved her hair over the stem to lock it into place.

“What do you think?"

“It looks perfect" I told her as I looked into her eyes. I saw worry and fear in those crystal blue eyes, it was subtle but I can see it clear as day.

“Is everything alright?" I asked in concern.

“Excuse me?"

“You seem troubled."

“Why would I be troubled?"

“I can see it in your eyes, you're worried about something. Lacy, I know you, I know when something is bothering you; please tell me what it is."

“I'm fine baby; it's nothing to worry about." She was lying…why would she feel the need to lie to me.

“Please Lacy, you don't need to lie to me, I'm here for you and I want to help you, but I can't do that if you don't tell me." I grabbed her paws and squeezed them comfortingly. She was silent for several minutes and I waited patiently for her to speak.

“…I…had a dream last night" she said quietly.

“What was it about?" I wonder if it could be possible.

“…We were…in the park together at night…I was thrown in the back of a van while you were being held down by two furs…I watched one of them take out a knife and…stuck it into your back. It felt so real…I thought I was going to die, but the worst part was the possibility that I would never see you again…never be able to have moments together like our first date, or that night we spent together. I don't want to lose you Buck." I saw a tear escape from her eye and wet the fur below it. I pulled her close to me and rubbed her back soothingly while she buried her muzzle into my chest.

“Lacy…it's okay, I'm here. I'll never let that happen. No one is taking me away and I promise that I won't let anyone lay a finger on a treasure like you." I told her comfortingly and kept holding her until she was able to stop crying.

“…Thank you Buck…for being there for me." She pulled her face from my chest and turned to look at me with watery eyes and a small smile.

“There's no need to thank me baby." I looked down at her with a soft and comforting smile. She placed a paw on the back of my head and pulled me down to her level. The moment our lips met, I felt a spark ignite the flames in my soul. All of the love and trust she had for me, I could fell it in my core. I felt her tongue snake past my lips and I intercepted it and we began to wrestle for dominance. The need for oxygen eventually won and we, reluctantly, separated. We were both breathing heavily with a very noticeable blush on our cheeks.

Nothing was said between us as we caught our breath and, after just a moment, we were right back at it again. Her fingers combed through my hair and spiked it up while I ran my hand down her spine and came to a stop when I felt her shapely rear in my palm. She wrapped that soft bushy tail of hers around my forearm, pulled away from my lips, and rested her forehead against mine with a happy smile across her muzzle.

“I love you Buck."

“I love you to Lacy…come with me." I grabbed her paw and led her to the edge of the lake and sat down with her in my lap. She leaned back onto me and rested her head on my shoulder.

“This is perfect" she said as she watched the fish swim along the in the shallow water.

“Only because you're here." I crossed my arms around her stomach and leaned my head down, finding a spot on her neck and biting it softly. She moaned in approval and I started kissing along the bite and ended right above her ear before placing my chin on the top of her head. We stayed like this for awhile and then I heard a faint snoring coming from her.

“Sweet dreams fluffy" I laughed and laid back with her securely in my arms before I let the warmth of the sun and the vixen in my lap lull me to sleeps sweet embrace.
