Chapter Six: Afternoon Break, Part Two

As Koji fell off the crumbling Space Needle, he saw everyone he knew and Afternoon and he had to save them. He got control of his body and got himself as aerodynamic as he could, Twilight, and Jackson looked with horror as they saw Koji falling to the ground, while themselves falling, Koji would have squished himself.

Koji needed to prepare himself for what he was doing as he fell towards the ground. As he did so he thought of his time at his new apartment, during what felt like weeks ago. He put his hands forward, and prepared for the impact.

He closed his eyes and metaphorically laid back and thought of England. He felt it as he absorbed the massive amount of energy; everything his body had impacting against the ground. He only had a few seconds to do so and did something new.

He created a platform of energy around himself, as he started to lose himself. It was the creation of an energy platform that would slow them down and stop them instead of hitting them against concreate. They would all probably pass out, as Koji would in a few seconds but it was better than all of them spreading to goo piles on the ground.

Koji fell asleep as he saw everyone hit the bubble and to his relief as the bubble popped, no one seemed deader than normal. Koji fell on the ground and so did the rest of his gang, except for Afternoon. The wolf stood up and knew he could screw with the group.

Afternoon grabbed the knocked out and de-transformed Eric, his accomplice and still under his control. He snickered and giggled as he escaped from the crash site of the Space Needle, looking at the death and destruction that he and the werecroc caused.

Koji looked around and tried to help Eric before he got away. Koji reached out as he tried to keep his eyes open and keep the vision of the world straight. He stood up and walked forward and attempted to get Eric, he could save them and stop all of this. He needed to stop Afternoon, he wasn't sure if he wanted to kill him.

Koji tripped on a rock and fell down to the ground, closing his eyes as he tried to hold on, hold on and save everyone and prevent so many more deaths. He turned around and looked at the burning Space Needle, started to flame and burn, so many crushed buildings and so many terrible deaths.

Koji fell on his back and closed his eyes, finally letting go as he tried to prevent anything horrible from happening. He couldn't let the city burn further, he needed to stop it and he couldn't, wouldn't let it go further. However, his determination finally gave out and then he gave out on the ground. Koji felt disappointed in himself as he let the horror continue.

"Hello, Koji." Koji smiled as he heard a familiar voice, the nice tone and calm demeanor could mean it was only one person and as Koji opened his eyes he saw a familiar toucan standing above him. He looked around he seemed to be in a hospital setting. He remembered what happened to Molly and he felt sick to the stomach, it was horrible that she was forced to fall of the space needle.

"You're..." Koji said as he realized that if she was alive, she would have known that already. She disconnected a few IV's from his arms and disconnected the heart monitor. Koji groaned and stood up and looked around.

He looked around and everything around looked like a hospital room. Molly stroked his face and for once he let his mental shield down. He felt calm, at peace, everything felt right and good for once. Koji looked around and he looked at Molly's face.

"Don't say anything more, I survived the fall because of Afternoon. They say dreams can travel forever, and into anyone's head. Smart people can listen and remember dreams." Molly said as he pushed Koji back on the bed and walked over towards the door of the hospital room. She typed in a password, Koji saw it. A15.

He thought about how strange it was for a hospital to have a password and for a password to be three-digits. Koji waited for a few minutes and comprehended what was given to him. He wondered what Molly meant by dreams and where the rest of the team was. Perhaps they were going after Afternoon and Eric; and he needed some healing.

"Koji, I am dead or I am going to die. Afternoon has taken over my body and he's using me to destroy the city. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but this is always how's it been. Now then you're going to have a choice one day and I hope that you'll be able to do the right thing." Molly said as they looked around and she looked into his eyes with regret and horror. He hoped that he could save her from Afternoon.

Molly rubbed the shark's head for a while and comforted him as she tried to make the transition good for him. He would need everything to deal with what was going to happen to him. After a while Koji blinked and Molly started to fade, while real doctors and nurses appeared around his body. They looked amazed at him while he woke up.

"It's only been an hour; no one can survive that and wake up that quickly." One of the nurses said as they examined his body. Outside the hospital seemed to be rushing with incoming patients from the needle and the surrounding areas. They looked around and it seemed to be chaos as they tried to stabilize the incoming.

"Well then, hey their Koji. How are you feeling, you seemed to be patched up; so we'll ship you back out with your friends." The Doctors said as they scanned him with equipment, flashed lights in his eyes, pinched his skin, felt his bones and the whole normal ordeal.

Finally, Koji who was still in his normal clothes, albeit dirtier and with a few blood stain was led out of the hospital by a nurse, through doors without passwords. He was led to the front lobby, avoiding incoming, outgoing and all sorts of carts that were being taken to get healed. Koji luckily could absorb the impact on his body.

He felt luckily as the one of the people to leave in full condition. As he left he was saddened as he only saw Twilight and Jackson. He looked around and he didn't feel or see Molly, he guessed his vison was right. He walked towards Twilight and silently they embraced hugging it out.

"I'm so sorry that I couldn't save Molly." Twilight said as they both shed tears, manly tears in a hospital reunion. Jackson was weirded out by it but he felt where Koji was coming from, he didn't feel sad; he just felt depressed that everyone was dying and there was nothing that he could be doing to help. He looked around and sat back down to deal with himself.

"Molly is still alive, she commutated with me in my dreams. On the door there was a password A15, I think she's trying to tell me where she and Eric are. I think we need to go there and save them." Koji said, no demanded as he knew what he had to do. Koji and Twilight blushed as they ended the hug that went on for a bit too long to suggest platonic feelings.

"Where would A15, show up on a diner menu?" Twilight asked as he looked around, he was confused it seemed to be some sort of riddle or something. As all three of them exited the hospital Koji spotted something. It was a rack filled with maps of the city that had locations to visit inside. "Well, we could use those to divide the city up and start a search."

"No wait, I remember on the side of these they put keys with number combos on them." Jackson said as he grabbed a map and looked at it. He opened it up and looked at the map of Seattle. He looked and found that A15 crossed at what appeared to be abandoned area just north of the city.

"So that's our destination." Twilight said as he ran out into the city and was reminded of what happened. News TV's were flashing with incident coverage, there was a massive pile of smoke over the city and all around them there was the sound of sirens. Twilight decided to shut up and give some respect.

"Maybe we can save Molly and Eric, and kill Afternoon, so today's deaths were not in vain." Jackson said being affably heroic sounding as he walked towards the sidewalk. He had fire in his eyes and they knew that the end of Afternoon was coming today.

Looking around they realized that they had a lack of transport around the city. There van was half way across Seattle and they didn't have any taxies running in the city at the time. They didn't have many options but to walk to the location as fast as they could. Koji realized this but didn't complain.

"Come on guys, we need to go kill Afternoon." Jackson said as he led the team down the sidewalk, with fire burning in his eyes he knew he could get the job done. Jackson believed that his team could defeat Afternoon and he believed in them as well. While when Afternoon took Eric it was person, after the stunt Afternoon just pulled it was personal for so many more people and Jackson was going to get them their revenge.

"Ok, I'm all for walking but perhaps we can take someone's car and return it later." Twilight suggested as he saw that they were getting nowhere fast and they shouldn't have taken their sweet time with walking when Molly and Eric's lives are on the line. "We do have sort of a time limit to deal with her so you know, there are things that we can do, and it's not immoral."

"Fine, I guess you're right. But from now on were serious, people have died back there and it's our job to fix the wrongs. Now who's with me?" Jackson said as he pulled out his DNA scanner. Pointing it at the nearby midsize Pontiac, the doors opened and the car started up.

Jackson opened the door and got into the driver's seat, while both Koji and Twilight got into the back to be together. Koji knew that there was something between them and he was ready to presume it after today of course. Jackson pulled out of the parking stop and rammed the gas pedal as he went full speed for Afternoon.

They exited urban Seattle with her millions of Starbucks and instead entered an abounded section of the city. Most of it looked like old warehouses, broken-down homes and horrible skate parks. They drove down a large hill and they knew Afternoon was near.

"No Boast, bragging, we go straight for the fighting, no matter how appealing making a boast can be. Go straight for the kill with Afternoon, spare Eric and Molly, do not let them die. I've thought I've let people die today, but we are going to avenge those who we have lost!" Jackson said giving the plan to his two sharks in the backseat. As they got closer, a shady aura settled over the van. It felt horrible, like condensed evil was spilled over the basin of the city.

The van suddenly stopped as if the air inside it stopped reacting and slowly the van came to a halt, and stopped. Jackson turned on the parking break and looked at the warehouse that they were certain Afternoon was in. He was certain that Afternoon would break.

Jackson, Koji, and Twilight walked into the warehouse looking around for Afternoon. The wind behind them started to blow and the metal of the warehouse started to shake. Afternoon made himself know as he slammed on a metal pillar making a loud ringing sound.

Jackson ran first and was terrified at what he found before him, Twilight followed and so did Koji as they hurried over. Afternoon was standing on an above floor, but strangely he decided to have both chained to the ground.

Jackson looked confused as he tried to figure out what game Afternoon was playing. They looked around the warehouse it was like the stadium set up for their final battle, they looked around and everything looked set up for both sides to be completely even, both sides had three combatants each with a leader.

"So then, decided to choose your location for the final battle and your death, any last words?" Jackson asked as he looked at Afternoon, hoping for some inspiration from the wolf. He looked around, thinking that they would be rushed with left over goons from Ruby's gang, however nothing happened.

"Simple here is my ultimatum; I will temporary peacefully leave Earth, and give you back Eric or Molly and go back to the Kagen World. What happens from then isn't up to me, the only thing you have to do is chose someone to kill." Afternoon said peacefully and slowly as he explained his final solution. "Easy, you just have to pick Eric or Molly."

"Both of them are connected to an electric generator, if you decide to attack me both of them will be loaded with 1.21 Gigawatts of lightning. Once the other is free they will be free from my influence and the other will be shocked, so you can only come out of here with one person." Afternoon said as he knew that lives actually mattered to the Outsiders and he knew that he would be able to slight their hands with a choice. He knew that he'd be able to come out on the top.

"You are a monster and you need to be killed; I am going to rip your body to shreds." Surprisingly it was Koji who said this, showing his teeth, and going into frenzy. Twilight grabbed him and held him back as Jackson realized that they couldn't go in, guns full blazing, and they were at the whim of a mad man.

"No I'm not the monster; you horrible people evolved over our empire and held us back. All your people need to die and fall off the Earth. You have no idea what your people are dealing with; and all of your will do so." Afternoon said as he tried to justify his madness and show his side of the fight; Koji thought he was crazy and needed to be destroyed.

They stood still as they tried to figure out what to do; they had no options to save both people or keep both of them safe. They needed something that would be able to save Molly and Eric; Jackson wouldn't let both die and they had no idea how to fix the situation. He looked around trying to find anywhere where they would be able to go around Afternoon's barrier.

"What should we do?" Twilight asked Koji trying to figure out their battle plan of what to do. They looked around and each of them tried to figure out what was going to do. He looked around and it did not appear to be any weakness in Afternoon's plan; they were trapped and they had no idea what to do.

"Molly knew what was going to happen; she knew that she was going to die and she accepted that. I saw what was she said what was going to happen; she told me and that and maybe we should accept that fact." Koji said as he accepted that fact that maybe someone would die; and they needed to accept that someone might exit a Kagen battle; they weren't ready for the battle and it was their price for leaving Las Vegas.

"We left Las Vegas, and we made ourselves open to attack. This is our fault and maybe we should accept that we had no idea what we were going into with the Kagens, and next time if there is a next time we will murder the Kagens on the spot." Koji said as he realized that Molly's death was all their faults, but she knew that and accepted that. They needed to do that right thing and that was to get Afternoon.

"I vote Eric to be returned." Koji said as he knew what had to happen; he couldn't delay Molly's accepted death any longer. She was smiling at him and he took it as a sign or her accepting her own death and what happened needed to happen for the sake the future.

"The same is true for me." Twilight said as Jackson looked at them both like they were crazy, he trusted Koji that Molly wanted this to happen and that everything that happened so far was faith. After they got Afternoon, it was new territory where they had no idea what was going to happen.

"I guess, I trust in Koji, return Eric to us." Jackson said trying to be formal and appease Afternoon. The wolf laughed and de-cuffed the smaller wolf; he threw Eric through the barrier and as he did the world paused for all expect Koji.

"Thank you Koji, you knew what to do and while you should be saddened by my death, do not mourn long because I will always be around you." Molly said as she nodded her head to Koji, she appeared like a white ghost in front of the shark and she looked at peace. Koji took solace in that he knew that he could at least get revenge.

"Wait, this isn't right something is going on the future is changing!" Molly said as she disappeared from Koji and time resumed. Instead of the chains shocking Molly, Afternoon laughed at them as they realized that he was trolling them again. Instead his body glowed as did Molly and they realized that he was transforming her.

"She was never in danger, I changed my mind instead you will have to kill her yourselves, as she is packed with my full transformative energy." Afternoon said as he changed the game on all of them. Jackson grabbed Eric and made sure he was alright, but suddenly his eyes glowed red and Eric ran forward pushing Jackson back as he transformed back into a werecrocodile again.

"NO, you can't do that! It doesn't work like that you promised us that you would free Eric and leave!" Koji yelled as Twilight detected the anger in his voice slowly increasing more and more above the normal leave. Koji looked around as he tried to find a source of energy.

The barrier dissipated from the warehouse and below it there was still a generator, and Koji realized that Afternoon changed the game in order to troll with them to force them to undergo more damage, to extend his life by just that much. Koji ran towards the generator as Twilight got ready to face the transforming Toucan.

As Koji went for the generator, Molly started her transformation. Her body started to shed its feathers as Molly still had a bit of control, her smile slowly fader to horror and then her smile reappeared but her eyes changed to a deep red color.

Black fur started to grow out her body, her muscles increasing as she broke her gain bonds and her break fell off her face, revealing her mouth as skin grew around it and her muzzle extended out and sharp teeth grew out of her newly formed teeth.

She was similar in size and shape to Eric, as she formed into a massive werewolf; growing large and not into a large teenage heartthrob. Drool came out from her mouth and her claws were dirty and chipped. She roared out in dominance as she jumped off the second level and towards Twilight. Twilight looked horrified as the massive hulking female lunged towards him.

Jackson tried pushing back against Eric, but had to shimmy out of the Crocodile's hold as he was almost crushed by the crocodile. He looked around and placed his feet against Eric's belly and pushed himself up as he squeezed past the crocodile's shoulder and narrowly avoided his large bite.

Jackson got around and kicked Jackson making him trip and face plant into the wall. Molly looked at him and she jumped over Twilight deciding to gang up on Jackson. They looked forward and both went for Jackson. The orca reacted as he turned away and took a lesion from the Not-Prometheus School of Avoid objects. He jumped out of the way and the two were beasts slammed into each other. They knocked into each other and fell on the floor as Molly adjusted to her new form. Both of them stood up and looked at Jackson as Afternoon yelled commands from back on the second floor. Twilight ran over towards the collision area and decided to join Jackson.

Koji meanwhile grabbed both of the freed chains and kicked the generator. Besides nearly putting a massive hole in the generator, it started up and Koji got ready to absorb the massive amount of electricity about to flow towards his body. The generator shook as it generated the electricity.

Electrons blasted out from the generator and transferred through the chain and into Koji's body. Koji screamed as he absorbed the electrons, pushing the boundaries he set for himself as static built up around his body, some sparks escaping and arcing around his body. Koji could feel the power the absorbed and he let go of the chains.

Koji walked out from under the balcony and looked at Afternoon as he decided to get his revenge. He faced Afternoon and put his hands up and pointed his finger at the Kagen God. Lightning shot out and Afternoon ran like coward as he was blasted with electricity. The werebeasts realized that their maker was in trouble and turned away from Jackson and Twilight.

"Werebeasts save me!" Afternoon said as he cried out like a complete and total coward. He ran away from the lighting blasts directed at him and attempted to get away from the attack. Koji almost sadistically smiled as he knew that he was messing with Afternoon.

Jackson took the opportunity and ran toward Eric. He slowed time down and inserted himself in front of the werecrocodile and decided to let Koji handle the creator and Molly. He realized that he had an advantage on Eric, he could slow down time and see Eric's movement and react even before Eric could.

He slowed down time and saw Eric prepare what could be called a famous punch, and as his fist descended Jackson jumped on his arm, which was thick enough to for Jackson to momentary balance on. Jackson bounced off and as Eric tried to punch with his other hand and Jackson bounced off and quickly landed on the second hand. Eric looked frustrated and Jackson decided to taunt him by laughing at him. Eric twisted around and Jackson did so as well jumping off Eric's fist. However, Eric outsmarted Jackson and grabbed the orca out of the air.

Eric laughed and pulled back his fist as Jackson tried to escape from the werecrocodile's hand. He struggled but the werecrocodile threw the orca and Jackson flew out of Eric's hand as he was tossed towards the wall and got slammed into the wall. Jackson managed to slow down time and readjust himself as he flew at the wall and managed to barely salvage his ankles.

Jackson groaned in pain as he landed on the ground. He knew that he was definitely going to beat Eric, when he returned to normal. He looked over and saw that Twilight was combating Molly, keeping her away from Koji as he fired electric blasts at Afternoon, keeping the burnt wolf's mind occupied.

"Now then Eric, you are probably not going to have a chance of getting control in their but if you are listening, I am going to beat your sorry ass!" Jackson said as he slowed down time and quickly ran past Eric and to Molly, deciding to accept Twilight and help him. He did some trained parkour and bounced his fragile ankles off a metal beam and slammed his body in Molly's werewolf, knocking her down and letting Twilight get an advantage.

He ran towards Eric and this time he jumped up and slammed his large orca body into Eric's head and knocked Eric down. Twilight saw this and decided to return the favor. With Molly knocked down and Afternoon distracted; Eric currently was the weakest link between all three of them.

Twilight quickly made his way over while everyone was down and looked at Eric. He took a page from Molly's book and put his hands on Eric's temple. He began to overtake the signal from Afternoon and he began to push back against for control of Eric.

Afternoon began to notice the interruption and almost got blasted with a shot of electricity. It was then that Jackson realized that Afternoon couldn't make them all work together towards one goal and that's what they had over the Kagen God.

"Koji, keep distracting Afternoon we might be able get Eric and Molly back; we can defy the future!" Twilight said victoriously as he gave Koji some encouragement for the larger shark, who continued to fire lightning blasts at the Afternoon.

Twilight continued his mental blast as Koji followed up with lightning blasts, hoping the two-sided blast would slow burn away at Afternoon until he gave up and allowed them to at least get Eric with them then they could restrain Molly and get her back, then return Afternoon to hell, and reclaim the black book.

"Come on we're almost there, I can feel Eric poking through he's almost there. Come on, Jackson keep Molly back!" Twilight said suddenly noticing the werewolf reawakening to Afternoon command. It was at least a sign that Afternoon was willing to shift control and once Eric was freed he would be able to resist the Kagen like a virus.

"So, close their almost there. Come on Afternoon give it up!" Twilight said as he redoubled his efforts on Eric. He needed to get Eric back for Jackson, almost to prove himself to Jackson and get his trust. It would solidify his place in the Outsiders and allow him to really help Koji.

"How much longer Twilight, I'm running out of juice!" Koji yelled as the intensity of his lightning started to diminish, he would need a refuel in order to continue such high energy blasts for a longer time. Twilight sweated it off started his final assault on the other Kagen.

"I'm almost there, just need to distract Afternoon one last time to let me get in to his mind and cut the connection forever. He started to pull his hands back, tiny energy arcs coming out of his hands and slowly increasing as his dominance over Afternoon increased.

Finally with one big shockwave off Eric, the werecrocodile was free from Afternoon's control. Twilight exited his mind and let the massive werecroc handle with his own mind. Eric pushed Twilight away with grace and carefulness as logic and sense returned to his mind. Afternoon saw this and he had a moment of panic as he realized that he couldn't stop four people against two, especially when one was a massive hulking reptilian beast.

"Good you keep the virus in your system, enjoy your power Eric." Twilight said as he examined Eric, to make sure that Eric had complete mental control. Afternoon should have been locked out from Eric's mind and couldn't remove what he had done so the werecrocodilism should stay with Eric. Twilight walked behind Eric as they all faced Afternoon to show what power they had.

Molly looked at her options and jumped back on her own two feet; before jumping onto the second floor balcony and grabbing her master. Afternoon was starting to look very desperate and he needed a way out. The burnt Kagen was no longer laughing with four against two it was now no longer an even fight between two ideals; it was now a fight for his life.

"Come on then try to catch me!" Afternoon yelled as his massive werewolf ran off the balcony and out of the warehouse. Jackson sighed as they realized that Afternoon would be taking risks and precautions and they still had a chance to catch him.

"How long do we have until the black book allows another transport to the Kagen dimeson, because he already used one today so we might be able to catch up, no we can catch up and this time we can end it before he goes away." Jackson said as he gave an inspiration speech to his crew. He walked towards the exit of the warehouse, as they realized that might catch up and win.

"He won't have enough energy for an entire week, and we can win." Twilight said as they realized that they had a second advantage, Afternoon was trapped in the Earth dimension and they could chase him indefinitely. He had no idea about quick transportation and most ways out of the city were shut down.

"Come one we're almost there; we can this. We can win against Twilight and free Molly; she won't die!" Koji said excitedly to Eric, as the werecrocodile roared. Koji realized that Eric didn't have any idea how to return to his normal self and would need alternative transport.

"Twilight what is Eric's top speed?" Koji said as he climbed on the back of Eric, realizing that a werecrocodile might keep up enough speed with a werewolf. Twilight laughed a bit as he saw Koji on the back of Eric but nodded.

"Just follow us, Jackson is getting Molly on his DNA traffic, she should be forced to stay on above ground paths in order to navigate the city." Twilight said as he entered the car that they took and sat down as he looked around the city. He figured that Molly would be highly visible in the city, and that they would find her quickly.

Eric ran out of the warehouse, ducking as to make sure that Koji didn't get his head sliced off. They just had to find Molly and everyone would make it out of the situation alive and they could screw destiny. Koji felt a rush, he felt determined to get Molly back and give destiny the biggest middle finger he could managed. It felt like he was alive as he and Eric ran down the streets.

Running up the hill Eric almost was sniffing the ground like a hog as he tracked Molly. Koji looked around and he spotted Molly, Afternoon was leading her up the large hill that they had to enter on. Racing forward, it was obvious that Molly didn't have any idea on how to work her new body and it was costing Afternoon speed.

The burnt wolf caught sight of the incoming team, and Molly let go of him as they both cowardly ran to the top of a hill. Eric followed them up the hill and Jackson's car was only a bit behind them as it sped up and passed them as to get to trap them in the top of the cliff.

They arrived at the top of the hill and they looked around at what surely had to be the final battle location. Afternoon made a major mistake when he went up the hill, the cliff face he was trapped on was far too tall for even him to make it down and survive without regenerating. The burnt wolf was trapped and everyone knew it.

"Well, well, well look who's finally ready to end; you have no options or any way out to escape what are you going to do?" Twilight said as he got out of the car and talked to Afternoon. They looked towards each other and the truth was obvious between the two and they knew that someone wouldn't make it out of the situation.

"No, have you forgotten the last options; Molly is my harbinger; she was always my Harbinger ever since I invaded her mind at the apartment complex. Slowly but surely my control has been brewing in her for a while. Now today I can merge with her body and win this horrible war." Afternoon said as he confused Jackson with his Kagen terms. Jackson exited the car and looked around as Koji and Eric almost arrived.

"What does he mean by that?" Jackson said slowly as he tried to understand what the Kagen God was trying to convey. Jackson looked confused as Afternoon's wolf body started to shift and slowly his body covered the werebeast. Twilight looked horrified as he realized that he completely missed one of Afternoon's ability.

"Harbingers are human cases for Kagens on the Earth world, only the closest can do it and Afternoon knew I forgot and he played that to my failure." Twilight said as Afternoon pulled another option out of his ass. Koji dismounted Eric and walked forward in front of Jackson and Twilight; presenting himself as the defending.

"Molly, I will try to save you." Koji whispered to himself as he tried to figure out a way to separate Afternoon from Molly as they fused into one, Molly's were body turning more grotesque fur falling out and burnt skin appeared as their psychic forms merged into one.

Time froze again reacting to Koji and this time the shark was prepared for it and turned to the left to see Molly standing before him in a beautiful red and white dress with feathers attached. She looked at herself in the real world and said nothing as she shook her head in shame.

"I'm sorry Koji, this was never supposed to happen, my death was supposed to be by Afternoon's doing not yours. I was supposed to fuel your revenge for Afternoon, but I suppose this is faith, this is Afternoon's middle finger." Molly said as she put her hand on Koji's shoulder, rubbing it as she tried to comfort him. Koji looked genuinely sad as he knew that destiny was slowly giving him its own middle finger. He looked around and knew that it would be Molly that would be dying today. He looked at her and she looked and smiled at him.

'Don't feel bad Koji, don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Molly said as she gave him a look of admiration and hugged him. "I trust you and you know what to do; goodbye" Molly said as she disappeared and time unfroze. Koji's eyes teared as he realized that he had to end it now.

"And now I shall kill you, for you Afternoon is a menace to this planet." Koji said as he walked forward in a monotone voice he looked emotional tired and defeated. Koji walked forward and placed his hands on the morphing Afternoon. Jackson and Twilight looked shocked while Koji shocked Afternoon/Molly.

Putting his hand on his/her chest he fired an electric blast and suddenly in Afternoon's paused stage, he screamed out in horrible pain, hurting Koji and burning it into his brain, as the electricity messed with what would have been the Kagen's now normal human heart. The barren werewolf screamed and fell straight onto the ground. The body shook as the electricity blast sent the combined person into a cardiac attack.

Koji put his arm out and keep everyone back as the electric blast caused the two's heart to slowly stop, slowly suffocating both of them of air and hopefully causing Afternoon to separate. Jackson looked shocked as Koji almost carelessly let Molly die on the ground.

Her body shook and seizured as slowly her brain and body were cut off from needed oxygen. With one final gasp, Afternoon splatted out of Molly's body and it ended. Koji ran over to Molly as Afternoon, still alive, gasped for air. He felt Molly's neck vein and his face turned to anger as he saw Afternoon standing in the evening air alive.

"YOU ARE A COMPELTELY EVIL AND HORRIBLE PERSON!" Koji yelled as he bursted with anger walking around Molly's body out of respect and towards Afternoon. Twilight knew that this was Koji's quest and that his silent anger was easier to deal with, his loud anger when he let loose of all his emotions was worse.

Koji walked up and grabbed the now tiny Afternoon by the neck and lifted the Kagen God up, hoping to kill the burnt wolf in the same method that he had to Molly, depriving the son of bitch of oxygen and making him regenerate as many times as possible.

"I PITY SOMEONE WITH AS LITTLE COMPASION AS YOU, MOLLY WAS INNOCENT AND SO SWEET AND YOU MADE ME KILL HER!" Koji said as he tightened his grip around Afternoon hoping that everything would squeeze out like play-doh. "SHE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE KAGENS AND TWILIGHT. AFTERNOON WHEN YOU GET BACK TO HELL MAKE SURE THAT THEY KNOW SOMETHING!" Koji said as his anger slowly went back to its silent method. Koji let his grip down as to let the Kagen speak.

"Whattt?" Afternoon said with his voice weak and barely coming out hoping that he could receive some mercy and compassion from Koji, despite not giving any back to Molly. Koji smiled as he sensed that Afternoon was at his last point.

"Tell them that Earth is protected and any more Kagens that cross the void will be executed. Now the Black Book please?" Koji asked with a smile as he reached into Afternoon's pocket and pulled the book out, tossing it back to Twilight. "Twilight, rip that book to shreds. Collect the shards as well."

Twilight did as he was told and grabbed the two ends of the black book before ripping it into tiny little pieces. He grabbed the pieces that fused together and placed them into a pile. Jackson produced an evidence bag and Twilight placed them there.

"Now then as for you Afternoon, enjoy death just like Molly did." Koji said as he turned Afternoon towards the cliff and suddenly grabbed his chin and then Afternoon's temple, with one swift motion he twisted and with a large snapping noise Afternoon croaked and fell to the ground. Afternoon was silent as his brain stem was pulled out of place and his spine was crushed.

Koji let him fall to the ground and as he walked back towards the group, he stepped on Afternoon's body. With one glow of regeneration energy, Afternoon's revitalization process stopped and was left dead. The black book's glowed as if to acknowledge it.

"Is that all?" Koji asked as he walked back to the van slowly knowing that the battle was finally over. He slumped as he fell into Twilight's arms destroyed emotionally and physically. Twilight smiled at him trying to reassure him and as Koji looked over the van in the now setting sky there was a flash of light, as one last message from Molly.

"One last thing." Twilight said as he sat Koji down on the seat of the car. "We have to burn Afternoon, Kagens are miracles and if anyone discovered his body; so much would be discovered and he needs to be destroyed once and for all."

Koji stood on top of another cliff, the only opened place they could find open for a burning. They formed a funeral pyre for Afternoon intending to burn his body. Twilight lit a torch and threw it into the flames, starting the funeral pyre and letting Afternoon's body burned.

Everyone stood silent as they watched the pyre burn in the night sky. Nobody said anything, and nobody wanted to say anything. They looked back at the smoking city of Seattle and everyone was filled with regret. Koji teared up as he hugged, Twilight; the two embracing as sadness filled both of them.

Afternoon was a coward and a horrible person; he saw the choice of his death multiple times and tried to escape pushing it further and further down the line until it became unavoidable and his death became more pain for then he had to, it was the end of the line for him and he dragged Molly with him.

Koji cried as he realized how long that Molly knew of her impending death, doom looming over her shoulder and slowly approaching over the weeks. He wondered what she meant by his legacy, his destiny. He knew that he would find it out later, whatever happened to them. However, Koji was sure that no one else would die so long as he was on the Outsider team.

He no longer wanted to see any Kagen besides Twilight, any that gave an effect on Earth would now be tracked down and hunted; slowly being tracked into the Kagen World where they would be killed. If that was his destiny or his choice; or even his legacy then he would be happy to choice it.

Eventually the fire burned out and everything turned back; they checked Afternoon to make sure nothing was left and they re-entered the now recovered van. Eric was turned back by Twilight, who gave him control over the virus in his body. Even along the ride home no one talked, not even Eric to Jackson. Everyone had to be sure of what they saw that day and what was happening.

"Happy?" Koji asked as he moved through his apartment, turning on all the lights as talked to Twilight, finally settling back down and as the pair got back to Las Vegas. Twilight decided to sit down and open a good book, an abridged version of War and Peace.

"I am in the traditional sense, while there were many horrible losses today, Molly knew what would happen to her, and she had accepted her fate. Afternoon is dead and at least for the next hundred years we don't need to worry about him, are you willing to kill the rest?"

"I'm not sure, thousands died today all for one terrible person. How many more have to die in order to secure the future, we need to secure the Earth before we start to kill the other Kagens." Koji said as he let Twilight think about what he said. When he didn't answer, Koji decided to go another way.

"Twilight, I want to talk, about Molly, about the Kagens. I'm tired of knowing nothing; you are going to tell me, inform me of everything that happened." Koji said holding in his feelings, wanting to know everything. They got Eric back at the cost of Molly and all the other people that died. He needed to know, he wanted to know, so that no one else had to be lost.

"Oh pull up of chair Koji; we have a long story to tell." Twilight said as he grabbed a chair and sat down, as Koji did the same. Twilight looked sad as he prepared to draw his words and tell Koji a terrible story.

"There was a war, a terrible and horrible war. My people the Kagens fought a race known as the Energywalkers for the sake of the Earth's creation. We were the bad guys and I have done my atonement for what I did. The Kagens, the Kagens, they were trapped in alternate dimension." Twilight said as he told the story that he knew word from word, everything he ever knew.

"Oh god I remember proto-Earth back in that day, bright orange skies at the beginning of the day and the trees flowers that gave off the most amazing smell and formed a new fruit every day. Terrapins would fly through the sky and then drive so far underwater. At night the stars would shine so brightly on the mountain tops and the three moons were so nice before Dawn destroyed two of them."

"I attempted to escape once and right the wrongs of my kind, and that is when I met you. But I was pulled back and Afternoon was given my custody. I hid the black book and endured nine years of torture to get an opportunity and get back." Twilight said as he smiled and remembered the past.

"Bless that old planet, and all of the old races that lived on it. We destroyed it all and we deserved what we got, and the Kagens need to be separated away from Earth, which is my mission to stop the Kagens again. Oh, but that old planet, I remember oh so vividly, the trees shined like fire and everything was majestic and when you sat down in one of the fields, the grass like feathers fluttering in the wind, everything was perfect."
