The husky put a fresh pair of jeans on, followed by his favourite grey, sleeveless shirt. Taking his wallet in one hand, and his phone in the other, he headed back out of his house and to his truck. Jumping in, he started it up. Baking out of his drieway, he sped off a little to quickly, leaving a black trail and some smoke marking his place.

The wolf layed on his bed, aiting for his new friend to come and get him. He didn't really care about being shown around, he just wanted to spend more time with the husky. He couldn't stop wandering what the husky looked like in his boxers.

Turning down a shortcut, Jim took a different way to go. As he drove, he thought about this new friend. He had a feeling in his gut that this guy would be a good friend for him. It would be good. He looked around as field after field passed by. Coming to a stop sign, he turned down his radio and checked his phone. It was now four o'clock and his parents would be home soon, but he didn't really want to go home. Taking a right, he pulled into the wolfs neighborhood.

Pulling up to the curb, he got out of the truck and walked up to the door of the house. Knocking on the door, he turned around and leaned on the wall waiting for an answer. Hearing a quite giggle, he stepped off the front porch. Walking up to the only tree in the yard, he looked up into it. Seeing the wolf in the tree he chuckled.

"What are you doin?" he said as he motioned for the wolf to come down.

The wolf looked down at the husky, his tail wagging ferouciously behind him. "Why dont YOU come up here?" He asked with a joyful tone.

The husky shook his head as he looked down at the ground. "Um, howabout I not and say I did?"

"What is the big, bad husky afwaid to cwimb a twee?" THe wolf looked down as he spoke in a tone as if he were talking to a pup.

"No. This husky isn't afraid, he just hasn't ever needded or desired to climb a tree."

The wolf shrugged and swung his feet, knowing that this husky wasn't tthe type to take something like that. "Okay whatever you say husky."

Jim shook his head and looked uo at Collin. "Okay then." He took a limb firmly in his grasp and hoisted his legs onto it. For being as big as he was, he made his way up onto the limb quite easily. Climbing up a few branches, he pearched himself on one he thought could hold him.

"So Collin, were would you like to go first?"

The wolf melted as he looked into the husky's blue eyes. "I..I think we should stay here for a while. I dont know what I want to do yet."

The husky smiled as the wolf looked at him, he could tell the wolf was stalling. He began to hum as he swung his leg in the air under him, not knowing what to talk about, or what to say. It was a silence that was a little awkward for bothe of the furs as the sat there.

"James..Do you have a girlfriend?" Collin asked suddenly, unable to take the silence any further. He was hoping for a no to the question, because for some strange reason he knew what would come from this.

The husky almost lost his balance in the tree when he heard the question. He looked up at the wolf a little puzzuldly. "Collin, look at me. Do you honestly think that any girl would want to go out with me?"

The wolf frowned at the husky. Why would he put himself down like that? He thought. "Why would you say such a thing James?"

"I don't know."

Sitting there the husky just sighed. He really didnt know why nobody ever liked him, nor why this wolf would care. Hopping down from the tree he landed on the ground, letting out a groan as his knees bent, bringing his loose jeans down a little.

Wathcing the husky jump from the tree, his heart leaped as the husky landed. He got to see part of the huskys white underwear and chuckled a little when the top of a red heart showed itself before the husky pulled his jeans up. The wolf climbed down, trying to stop from blushing. As he hit the grass he turned to James.

"So were to husky?"

"Um I guess I can show you were I work, and maybe our farm if you like?"

The wolf smiled and ran to the truck. "Of course I would. Silly Husky."

Jim just shook his head and got in his truck again. The v6 engine roaring to life as he started it and left the house. The two drove to the farm were the husky worked. He showed Collin around, introduced him to his boss, the tractors and the fields. They then went to the huskys family's farm were he parked overlooking a field of golden wheat that swayed in the breeze.

The husky set out a cooler on the truck bed and slid it to the side. Sitting on the far end of the truck bed, he patted the liner, telling Collin to sit. The wolf climbed up ontp the truck and sat next to the husky, blushing a little at the closeness, hoping that the husky couldnt tell.

They sat there for the rest of the afternoon, sometimes in complete silence, sometimes in absolute laughter. As the sun went down over the amber, waving grain, the husky looked at the wolf. He chuckled a little as he realized that he had been looking at him for a while now.

"Beautiful isn't it Collin?"

The wolf looked out at the feild and sighed. "Yes it is." Although the husky was talking about the sunset, he was talking about somehting completely different.

They waited to leave until the sun had completely set. Collin was first in the car, letting James clean up. He got in the drivers seat and started the truck. He looked at the wolf and smiled. "Alright bud lets take you home."

The wolf nodded as they went on their way. He started to doze off as they left the farm. It was well into the night now as they pulled into the wolfs neighborhood. Stopping the truck, he nudged the wolfs shoulder. "Collin wake up. Were here."

Stirring a little in his sleep he mumbled, "I love you."

Looking at the wolf a little curiously, he shrugged it off as him having a dream. The husky shook the wolf again, this time getting the desired result. The wolf woke up a little confused and dazed. Not knowing how he got there, he just opened the passenger door and shuffled out. Walking to the door he went inside and collapsed on his bed.

The entire ride home, the huskys mind kept going back to those words that Collin said. as he got home, he went straght to his room, turning off the lights, and laying on his bed. "Did he really mean it?" He kept thinking to himself. "Was it just him talking in his sleep or was it more than that?"

The husky kept thinking about it as he drifted off to sleep.
