#5 of Dragons

I was kinda mad at this teacher... so I kinda made this.

My first anthropomorphic dragon-story... Did I do it good? x3

It was really fun making it though and I feel much better now wohoo :D

The clock was ticking. Tikk takk. Every second now. Tikk takk. My paws were sweaty and my breath uneven. I didn't want to do this.

It wasn't like I wasn't prepared, it was just that it happened so unexpectedly. Tikk takk. The paper I was holding suddenly got ripped from my paws and I felt my claws sharpen. "Imber, are you alright?" One of my classmates asked. I forced myself to nod. "It's going to be fine. You'll see! Anyways, you've been practicing like crazy these past weeks. Don't let your nerves get in the way of this test." She said, encouraging me to read through my notes one last time. And I did. Not a single word stuck in my mind. Tikk takk. When your nervous there's a hormone named adrenaline that flows through your blood. And for me it meant that I got the courage to stand straight, with my golden chest out and my horns all sharp and mighty. It felt great. To get a kick like that before something so serious. "I can do this." I told my classmate. "Of course you can! You're Imber Cruor! There's no one even close to your skill, so go get em'!" Giving me a slight push in the right direction I began walking on two legs towards the teachers office. The yellow and gray dragoness stood in front of the office, holding the door open for me with her tail. I smiled as another classmate passed me. He had just had the test I was going to take. We were good friends, and I suspected something had happened as soon as he avoided any type of contact with me. Ignoring that; I went into the tiny room with two shelf's full of documents, one old table and two very uncomfortable chairs. I sat down. The space seemed so small, I could almost feel her warm breath creep all over my scales. It was unsettling. I slightly changed position. The chair creaked angrily. Tikk takk, tikk takk. "Give me an explanation of the war between the clan of Whiteclaw and Ravine." She said, looking me deep in the eye. She had no color in her eyes, she had no feeling either. Dead. No, Death was what I saw in them. Yes, she was surely trying to make me loose my footing. There's no chanse that that's going to happen!

I gave her a long and juicy explanation on the matter, even though that had nothing to do with the class she was teaching. "Are you sure about that?" Her voice was like muted. Her posture unreadable. I began feeling dizzy and quite irritated. I answered her question. "Fine, over to the next topic. You were supposed to read a novel by any human author. Give me the characteristics that this author had something to do with the left side of politics in the kingdom of humans." My heart fell to my stomach. Was I supposed to know this kind of stuff? No, I was sure that had nothing to do with the class either. "I'm sorry but this author has nothing to do with politics of any sorts. He was a poor man living in a small village and he wrote stories for children." She was still watching me. Her eyes never moving from mine. Tikk takk. "Do not blame others for your lack of knowledge." The flames in my throat were running like crazy. They wanted to come out and play now. Tikk takk. "We never talked about such matters in class and you never said anything about needing to know such things for this test." My voice was shaking and a nervous flame came out of my nostrils. "Imber, you're blaming others again." She said in a voice so scary it made the horns on my neck rise. "I don't blame anyone, I'm telling you he doesn't have anything to do with politics." I didn't dare say anymore. The clock had stopped ticking. "Do not," she bend over the table, showing she was the alpha my being taller. "blame others." Her smile was so poisonous I could almost taste it. "I've had enough. I don't want to do this anymore. Let me leave, I'll take any grade you give me. This is utterly unpleasant for me." I was begging her. Yet she just smiled at me with her yellowy teeth. She growled at me to sit down. But I just stood there like frozen. "I told you; I'm not feeling well. Leave me alone!" She grabbed my left arm as I managed to get courage to turned around. Her claws dug into my exposed skin where my scar was. I let out a loud growl. It all happened so quickly. I had turned around and hit her in the maw. She fell on the table destroying it with a loud blast. Her tail was suddenly wrapped around my leg and I fell towards one of the shelfs. It fell upon me and my vision was blackened for a moment as One of the books had hit my eye. But when I heard the teacher moving I threw the shelf away and jumped right at her with a vicious roar. I grabbed hold of her shirt with both my arms, dragging her to her feet with me. "I told you to leave me alone." I said through clenched teeth. Her smile never faded. I knew she was trying to provoke me now, and she had done a great job. "Masochistic bastard." I threw her to the ground and turned around wanting to leave the small, and now destroyed, room. "You're just going to leave? Didn't I at least hurt your pride a tiny bit?" "I'll let the school master know about this accident, just so you know it." I told her and opened the door.

The teachers out there were sitting peacefully drinking some human coffee and acting like nothing had happened. That's all I saw before it turned black before my eyes. The teacher had jumped at me from behind, making me loose my balance and hit my head on the floor. The taste of blood made adrenaline rush through my body like a vicious flame. She rolled over the floor and stood up. We watched each other for quite some time. I think she was trying to find out what to do with me, while I already knew how this was going to end.

Oh, and the reason none of the teachers acted was because it was fully accepted to fight till death between dragons. The teacher jumped at me, head first, wanting to slash my face, but I evaded the attack by jumping to the side in the last moment. My hands grabbed something and before she had time to react I threw a pot on her head. She went on me again, but this time my tail went instinctively to pierce her heart. She stood still like a statue in the middle of an action. Looking down she saw that the tip was just about to pierce through her scales. Her claws dug into my tail and I roared once more. And that's when I really decided to get rid of this type of dragon once and for all. Without knowing how I had gotten so close my claws already dug into her neck. She stood perfectly still. Her eyes reeked of fear. She was a scared little mouse and I was the scary, hungry cat looking for someone to play with. The blood fell down my hands, but I knew she wasn't going to die fast this way so I dug my teeth into her slender neck, right in the artery. It tasted weird. Like food gone bad.

I had never killed another dragon before, even though I had fought a lot of times. This was the first. My first. It was special. I had been feeling empty when she had been asking all those irrelevant questions, and now I felt nothing but pleasure through my whole being. The special pleasure of being better than someone. Knowing it and showing it. I let her body fall on the ground. The teachers stared at me. Blood was dripping all around me. "Well, someone had to do it." One of them said. I wanted to lick the blood off of my lips badly, but I knew her mind had been full of impure thoughts in a neglected body and that it would be bad for me as a dragon to do so. She was poisonous. I washed my face and paws, took care of my bruises and went on with my life. I had done a good deed by getting rid of a bad seed.
