Beep! Beep! Beep!
Smash!
"Ugh... Morning already..." I picked up a t-shirt from the laundry bin and smelled it, "Clean enough," I muttered to myself.
I walked into the kitchen and looked at the clock. The bus comes in 20 minutes. I scrounged around the kitchen for something quick to eat, but could only find a loaf of bread. So I took a slice of bread and put it in my mouth as I left out the door to the bus stop.
When I arrived at the bus stop I sat down on the nearest bench. Shortly after sitting down a figure came up from behind and punched me on the shoulder. I turned around to see that Kal was standing behind me.
"Hey, Wolfy!" Kal announced eagerly.
"Hey, Kal!" I said back, high-fiving him.
"Ready for another awesome day at Sexy Academy?!" He shouted dramatically.
"Yeah... Right," I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Are you going to try and communicate with a Cutie again?" Kal pressed.
"Why not? Sometimes it's a good laugh, other times not so much..."
"Yeah... It usually ends up with you screaming and a whip cracking, and I mean that in very little context!" Kal laughed.
"Oh shut up, Kal, that's your fetish isn't it! Getting whipped by a cutie!" I said slapping him on the ass.
"Not even! I'm the dominant one..."
"Keep telling yourself that," I said with a chuckle.
Just then the bus pulled up and we both got on. Once at school we both went our separate ways to our morning classes, mine happened to be Analytical Chemistry, my favourite class. I walked into the classroom and noticed my friend Leo sitting in our usual spot. I walked over and sat down next to him.
Leo is a Canis Sapiens, more specifically a shepherd. He has green eyes and tan fur. On each of his ears he has a gauge and piercing. On his back he has a big black patch of fur that goes from his shoulders down to his butt. On his chest he has a white patch of fur that goes from his face down to his pelvis.
"Hey Leo, what did I miss?" I asked.
"Not much, pup, the teacher is talking about his ex-wife again..."
"Of course he is..."
"She took everything, the house, the car, our children... but at least I still have my dignity! And this six figure job because if I didn't have this... I'd be screwed!" said the teacher.
I couldn't help it... I had to say it. My mind was pounding and my conscience was telling me no, but I couldn't hold it in, "I guess you could say the chemistry between you two was... non-polar!"
The class cracked up and the teacher even chuckled.
"An appropriate use of dis, Wolfy," He said crossing his arms, "Now, let's get down to business shall we."
After the class ended, I made my way to my next class, Organic Chemistry. The class after that was General Math and afterwards I get my 1 hour break, followed by History and Sexual Education.
Once Math was over I made my way outside to the far corner of the field. Already there was Kal and Leo kicking a ball back and forth.
"Long time no see, Wolfy," Leo shouted.
"Oh yes, so long, how have I made it this long without you!?" I joked.
"Beats me."
I picked up a stone and pulled out a sharpie.
"Oh no... not this again! You're going to get yourself whipped, again..." Leo said as he kicked the ball at me.
"Yes, Wolfy, please tell us what's so fascinating about talking to a Cutie," Kal said, leaning on my shoulder.
"I just... I hate all of this; I wanna talk to other people besides the ones who are most like me, no offence..."
"You're fine, Wolfy, we understand," Kal said softly.
"We do? I don't... but whatever floats your boat, pup," Leo laughed.
I brought the rock back up to my face and wrote: "Hi, I'm bored" then tossed it over the wall. I put the sharpie in my pocket and sat alongside the wall. Kal walked over and sat beside me.
"You know, this really isn't worth all the pain you put yourself through. I care about you, Wolfy, and I don't like seeing my friends in pain," Kal said, placing his hand on my shoulder.
"I know, Kal, I just want to be happy talking to someone new... someone different, someon-..."
My words were cut short by the sound of a rock hitting the hard dirt. I looked at Kal with wide eyes and ran over to the rock. I picked it up and examined the rock. There was nothing new written on it, just the stuff I wrote on it before I threw it over. I quickly picked up another rock and wrote: Why did you throw it back? And put an unhappy face at the end. I tossed the rock over and waited for a reply.
"We got a reply, Leo," Kal yelled to him, "Well it wasn't a reply, but someone did throw the rock back over!"
Just then a rock came flying back. I picked it up and read what was written: "Stop with the rocks, you'll get whipped" with an unhappy face at the end.
"Come on, Wolfy, just listen to the poor cutie, you don't want him to get whipped too do you?" Leo said, placing his hand on my shoulder.
I stood there pondering my next move. This is the first time in months that someone from over the wall has actually replied.
I picked up a rock and wrote some words on it then tossed it over the wall.
"Wolfy!" Kal yelled, "What did you just write?"
"It said... I'm sorry."
"Like hell it did!" Leo yelled.
"It's none of your business anyway, Leo, so please back off," I growled.
A stone fell at Leo's feet; we both looked at each other and then rushed for the stone. Leo being much closer than I to the rock got to it first and read it out loud.
"Please stop, I don't want us to get whipped; with added emphasis on the 'us'!"
"Wolfy... Just stop, there are guards in plain sight... if they see you throw that roc-..."
"I know what will happen, Kal! I am aware of the fucking consequences of my actions! If you're so scared then fucking go! Leave!" I snarled at the both of them.
"Not that I'm scared or anything, but I'm going to head out," Leo said as he walked away "I'd just like to keep my back unscathed."
"That's fine; what about you, Kal?" I questioned.
"Wolfy, when have I ever left you in a time of need?" he answered with a question.
"I'm not sure this classifies as a need, per say, but thanks, pal."
I picked up a rock and wrote: "Don't be such a downer, none of the staff ever come this far out anyways. Now tell me, what do you look like and what is your name?"
A very short while later, a rock came back over the wall that said: "You don't need a description, you can see what I look like outside of school. We just can't talk and my name is Ren."
"Oh my, you can see what he looks like," Kal said, winking at me.
"That's not what he meant, Kal!" I laughed, shoving him over, "Is your mind ever out of the gutter?"
"Blame it on my libido..."
"I'll blame it on nothing but your virgin ass," I said as I wrote on a rock and threw it over the wall.
"Yeah, but you're a virgin too, your argument is invalid."
I reached up and caught the incoming rock saying, "Good point..."
The rock read: "NO! It's not a date, and I'm busy"
"WOLFY! Did you say it was a date?" Kal said, questioning my motives even further.
"Maybe..." There was a long pause before I spoke again, "I was just trying to be funny, okay!"
I wrote: "Don't you miss having friends that aren't like you?" and tossed it over the wall.
The returning rock read: "I have friends that aren't like me. What are you getting at?"
"He's got you beat, Wolfy, I think it's time to give it up," Kal said, patting my back.
I picked up a rock and wrote: "Idk, please just come to Tom Hooters, please, Ren"
"He'll come," I said.
"How do you know?" Kal asked.
"Because he wants the same thing I want."
"And what might that be?"
"Change."
Just then a rock hit the ground. I picked it up and read: "How are we going to talk? And how will I know it's you?"
I looked at Kal with a smile, "Here we go!" I said excitedly.
I picked up a nice flat rock and wrote: "Don't worry, I got that covered, and I'm the one with blue fur and 2 blue markings under my left eye"
Before long, a rock came back over the wall that read: "Fine. I'll be there"
"YES!" I shouted.
The bell for school to resume rang and Kal asked, "How are you going to talk to him?"
I wrote one last time on a rock and tossed it over the wall.
"I haven't the slightest clue..."
Let me know what you think! :)
