Chapter 2: Sleeping in Stripper's Clothing
_Dear Diary,
Well the weekend has come again, school starts soon, and KITSU INVITED ME TO SPEND THE NIGHT AT HIS HOUSE!!!!!!<3
We're going, that is all five of us, to a rave. I don't know what a rave is or how I should dress but Kitsu said not to worry, that he'd take care of the clothing.
So I guess I'll be grabbing my camera and my stuff and heading out now! Still need to get that shirtless.

"Mom! I'm headed out! Anything you need me to do before I go?"
"Take the trash out, and have fun!"
I did as she asked, seeing Maki walking down the street as I went. I called his name and waved and he walked over to me.
"Hey Ex, sup?"
"I'm headed to Kitt's to spend the night and we're going raving," I wagged my white tail a little out of excitement.
"You know what that is right?"
"Not really"
"You're in for a fun time, I have to get to work. C-ya!" He ran off and I headed down Kitsu's driveway. I knocked on the front door and shifted my weight to one leg to counter-balance the weight of my backpack.
Kitsu's mother was the one that answered this time. She smiled warmly and directed me to his bedroom. I could feel my heart as I knocked on the door.
Kitsu opened it quickly, grinning widely at the sight of me.
"Hey Ex!"
He hugged me. So far I'd been the only one I knew of that he hugged, well besides Sai but it wasn't the same. Sai didn't give you a choice.
I hugged him back, maybe a little tighter than usual and he pulled me into his room. This would be the point where I realized we were alone.
"Where's everyone else?" I questioned.
"Not going to get here for a while, we have to get you ready for tonight. You know how to dance?" He walked over to his closet and began rummaging through it.
"Yeah, I know how to dance, just..." I blushed. My old friend, Kuro, had taught me how to dance.
"Just?"
"I only know how to dance dirty, like grinding and stuff," I blushed harder.
"Oh, perfect. Try this on,"
We went through several different outfits before he found one he liked on me. It was a fishnet mesh shirt and gothic looking pants.
He wore a shirt like mine and pants that were black with pink marks all over them like bolts of electricity.
"How do I look?" He grinned. I snapped a picture.
"What's that for?" He looked at me.
"I'm going to put it in my scrapbook, maybe," I explained.
"Maybe?"
"Yeah, I need to get a new one for my new city,"
"I'll get it!"
I blushed.
"You don't have to," I tried to stop him.
"But I will,"
We settled on it. He was going to get me a scrapbook, provided that I include pictures of the group. This was something I could live with so I agreed. It didn't seem like he would budge on it anyway. We talked and played video games while we waited for the others to arrive. Eventually we got a phone call from Maki, who told us he wouldn't be able to make it to the rave that night and wished us all to have a fun time.
We continued, after a while we went downstairs to eat, until Kuik showed up. He glanced at me and then headed to the phone.
"Hey Echo," Kitsu walked over to me.
"Yeah?"
"Why are you so nervous around him?"
I explained what happened in the forest.
"Don't worry. He's really a big softy," Kitsu laughed. Then something completely different happened.
He kissed my cheek and headed out the front door.
I was left stunned and more than a little confused. I couldn't tell if he wanted me to follow him or not, so I did. I glanced towards the room Kuik was in, he was still on the phone, and headed out the door and into the night. I found him sitting on top of a car, knees tucked in towards his chest, staring at the moon.
"Isn't it pretty Echo?" he patted the roof of the car next to him and I hopped up and sat there.
"What is?"
"The moon, silly," he scooted a little closer to me but I didn't notice, I was looking up at the moon now. To me the moon was a symbol. A symbol of the past I could never rip myself from, never escape.
"Yeah, it is,"
I felt his body against mine and realized he had started leaning against me, resting his head on my shoulder. I found my heart rate rising yet again.
"Hey Kitt?"
"Yes Ex?"
"Is everything okay lately?"
"Kind of, the guys are a little mad at me, well...at least Kuik is," he sighed.
"Why is that?"
"All because I wanted to make you part of the group, Kuik's worried that you'll end up betraying me and stuff, I've had my fair share of it in the past,"
I wanted to kiss him. I wanted to tell him that I thought he was incredible, that the things I'd learned about him in the past couple of weeks only made me like him more than I did when I first saw him. I knew that doing that wouldn't be the best idea though, so I refrained from it.
"You have?"
"Yeah, I dated a few guys and they've all taken advantage of me, Kuik says I fall for people to easily," Kitsu giggled softly.
"So what's he worried about?"
"He says I'm falling for you, because I tend to talk and wonder about you a lot,"
My eyes widened and my heart skipped a beat.
"You're falling for me?" I looked down at him; he had his eyes closed and his chin resting on my shoulder.
He blushed. I grinned.
"Is that a yes?" I questioned, pushing him to answer.
"I don't know, I can't stop thinking about that kiss in the woods. I'm not sure yet,"
"Take all the time you need, okay?" I ruffled his hair. He whined and fixed it back.
"Yeah," He grinned and kissed my cheek again.
Kuik coughed behind us, scaring the shit out of me with relative ease.
"Sai's going to meet us there, you two ready to rave?"
"Born ready!" Kitsu shouted and hopped off the car. We all got in and Kuik, I think he was the oldest out of all of us, began to drive.
Kitsu sat in the back with me, occasionally whispering something about Kuik to me and giggling. I would laugh along with him and whisper something back until Kuik told us to stop acting like schoolgirls; at which point we both stuck our tongues out at him. He shook his head.
We arrived at the dance club; I could already feel the vibrations from the music as I stepped out of the car. Kitsu grabbed my hand and ran inside with me.
It was hot and loud, but exciting. Kitsu pulled me straight to the middle of the dance floor and demanded to see my moves. I began to work my body to the beat, as Kuro had taught me a few years before, and after a time Kitsu joined me. We became the center of the crowd's attention as we worked, yet I wasn't embarrassed. All that mattered was the feeling of his body against mine, working in unison, and I would let nothing get in the way of its continuation.
We worked faster as the beat picked up and the crowd began to shout and clap for us. We were an incredible pair; we had easily stolen the floor from the best of them and made it our own. The rhythm was ours; none could take it from us. The beat was one with our hearts, which were one with each other. The song pounded in our ears, our bodies pressed together, and before either of us had come from our trance we were locked together in each other's arms, kissing passionately.
The crowd shouted approval, and we didn't disappoint them. We continued well into the night and displayed ourselves for an hour or so more before the crowd had fully come back to dancing around us.
After a while of dancing we went to one of the rooms to rest, I took a couple pictures of him. I'd already gotten some of the others, and he got some shots of me. We talked and Kuik finally found us a little after one in the morning. We all, Sai included, piled back into the car and headed for Kitsu's.
Once we were there something surprising happened. Sai and Kuik left the house.
"See you Ex!" Sai waved and got into Kuik's car. Kuik merely looked at me and nodded, his usual goodbye.
"Where are they going?" I turned to Kitsu for answers.
"Home," He was making noodles. We hadn't eaten in hours.
"Home?"
"Yeah, you know, that place most people have that they live in?"
"Smart ass. I know that, but why?"
"Didn't I tell you? I never invited them to spend the night, just you,"
Nothing that came to mind after that comment seemed an appropriate response to it. I could've said several things, but I believe that most would have come out in droves of mindless dribble. He handed me a plate of noodles, which I nearly dropped, and we sat down to eat. His mother was already asleep and the house remained quiet as we ate the well-cooked food. I was tempted to ask him a few questions that had been on my mind but refrained, not wanting to make him mad or ruin the night.
"So did you get your schedule yet?" Kitsu looked up at me with a few noodles dangling from his fork.
"Oh, for school? Yeah, it sucks that it starts so soon," I grinned.
Sadly, this conversation didn't last long. We headed upstairs and I laid on the floor, tired from our night of dancing.
"What are you doing?" Kitsu was stripping, getting into noting but a pair of boxers before sitting on his bed. He looked somewhat amused as I laid in my affectionately dubbed "Stripper clothes", well at least Kuik called them that.
"Most people call it sleeping," I achieved revenge on the smart-ass scale.
"Nah, you sleep up here," he patted the bed next to him. A brief but pointless argument followed which ended, of course, with me laying next to him in his bed, blushing horribly. I had refused to take off the clothes and ended up falling asleep in them, complete with a fox cuddling up to me in the moonlight. Once he had fallen asleep, quite quickly, I pulled out my backpack.
_Dear Diary,
I've realized quite a bit tonight. Kuik doesn't like me because he thinks I will hurt Kitsu and Kitsu is "falling for me" but he isn't ready to date again yet. I know a few more things now too. I know what he will choose when the time comes. I know I will be there when he is ready. I know that I'm falling for him quickly and hard. But I don't want to push him away by pushing myself on him, so I will be content to watch and wait for him to be ready for me, and when he is, I will be ready for him.

-You find a handwritten note at this point in the book. You pull it out and hold it closer to the sunlight to read the worn writing.
_Beyond this I have begun my spiral into the destruction of my world. If you are truly intent on finding out why I am in hiding than by all means continue. I, however, suggest that you quit here and assume all turned out well and that my hiding is just another Hide and Seek Catastrophe. There were to many things I can only wish I knew. I didn't know that our kiss that night had been caught on camera by a student. Our kiss would be the bombshell that would blow his secret out of the water and into the eyes of his family, my family, and the student body of Cray Academy.
