Buffmon Manual
A project I've been working on for the last week or so. One of my few pokemon-like projects that I'm truly happy with.
Buffmon & Trainers:-
Sexy creatures called Buffmon, are anthropomorphic creatures that love to show off their bodies and work out for more gains. They come in various sizes and ranges of body builds, from athletic to buff, to muscular, and all of them love the attention their bodies get. There are no female Buffmon so its mostly males who become Buffmon Trainers, there are female Trainers, but they’re pretty rare.
Buffmon love to challenge themselves and each other to various duels of strength, endurance, and stamina, be it battling, racing, heavy lifting, or just a simple pose off and admire each other’s bodies. Those hard, powerful, sweaty bodies.
The Trainers, as they’re appropriately called, are the ones who collect Buffmon and train them to be perfect in a certain aspect or stats, allowing them to reach their preferred stage of perfection. But, they are also the ones who will make the food, the proper diet and workout schedule for their Buffmon, as well as provide all the aftercare they need to relax and let off some steam, which may or may not include allowing or helping them release any pent up sexual tension they build up over time, as they will be more irritable and frustrated if that’s not taken care of.
Buffmon Data:-
There are various types of Buffmon, and not just body types, they come in various species, and elements, and with various skills and preferred traits and abilities.
Elements:-
The elements that Buffmon comes in are:
-Null = Neutral/Elementless
-Pyre = Fire
-Aqua = Water
-Frost = Ice
-Terra = Earth
-Steel = Metal
-Silva = Nature
-Zephyr = Wind
-Tox = Poison
-Spark = Electricity
-Shade = Darkness/Shadow
-Halo = Light
-Aether = Magic/Mind
Types:-
Not body type, but it’s mostly how they battle, their classes, if you will:
-Brute = Tank
-Swift = Ranger
-Brawler = Fighter
-Fluffer = Healer/Support
-Sapper = Debuffer
Main Stages:-
There are three main stages of life of a Buffmon.
Runt: In this stage, Buffmon are pretty scrawny, not as big or buff as most of others of their kind. But they will grow bigger and stronger the more they train.
Rookie: In this stage, they are slightly more built, but still not as big or buff. But in this stage at least, they can battle and challenge other Buffmon to get stronger.
Maximal: Here, Buffmon reach their peak physical power and appeal, at least according to their type or element.
Advanced Stages:-
Stages that can be reached under certain conditions, transforming into various forms, but they can only for a short amount of time.
Limit Break: As the name suggests, this is a phase/stage where a Buffmon push their bodies beyond their natural limit, and this is something that all Buffmon can do. Unfortunately, once the time limit ends, they are left exhausted, weak, and vulnerable for a short duration, which puts them in a pretty dangerous situation.
Elemorph: Only a small number of Buffmon can do this, which is basically the ability to change elements, giving them the characteristics, traits, and abilities of the chosen element, but they also gain that element’s weaknesses, so it’s somewhat of a double-edged sword.
Behemoth: Only Brutes and Brawlers can do this, gaining an increase in muscle mass, making them move slower, but they are more resilient and tanky in this stage, sometimes even invulnerable to certain types of attacks, while their own physical attacks can cause quite a lot of damage.
Berserker: In this phase, a Buffmon loses all form of sanity and self-control, becoming nothing more than a wild beast, going on a rampage with disregard to safety, be it others or their own.
Regions:-
Some of the big regions that Trainers would frequent in their travels.
Neopolis:-
The main region for all Trainers and is where the headquarters for anything Buffmon related is located, as well as their main Buffmon research center. This region is home to many, many, MANY kinds of Buffmon, most of them are the result of breeding, mostly, but they are still allowed to live naturally in the wild with little, to no interruption from humans.
Solaria:
Located in the southeastern corner of the world, Solaria is home to many religious sects, be they native or not. This region is also home to many Halo and Aether element Buffmon, there are also lots of Shade Buffmon, but in this region they are considered bad omens.
Everything here is shiny and glimmery, you pretty much get flashbanged everywhere you look from how shiny everything is.
Wuxiang:
One of the two biggest eastern regions, they pride themselves in their traditions and the ways of their ancestors. They can be hard to deal with, but they are pretty nice people once you get to know them.
Akatsuki:
One of the two biggest easter regions. Unlike Wuxiang, they are more open to welcoming others and are quite hospitable to outsiders, but they are pretty strict about their security and their laws, no one, regardless of their social status, is above the law.
Illaria:-
Oceanic, tropical region that is pretty much an archipelago of many islands, the main and biggest island being Manalo Island, this is where Trainers arrive at before they start their journey in this region, and it’s also where the Buffmon Research Center branch is located.
Baraamesh:-
Third biggest eastern region, but is the smallest of the three. Lots of beautiful but hot deserts as far as the eye can see, to the point that the locals actually built sand-sailing vehicles for transport across the vast lands of sand. Quite a number of Terra and Shade Buffmon can be found here, plus a large number of ruins of ancient civilizations that are said to be home of the spirits of the people who used to live there.
Iohaven:-
The western desert region, but it’s mostly arid lands, mountain ranges, and canyons, instead of seas of sand, and instead of sand-sailing, their vehicles are built to be tank-like sturdy because of the usually unstable terrain and canyons and are built for very long travels in mind.
Uruna:-
The far northern region, nothing but cold, snow, and mountains all around, but the people there are made strong and sturdy because of it, their bodies adapting to the harsh cold with many ways to deal with it over the years.
Both Trainers and Buffmon from this region are known to be among the strongest in the world, not everyone, but a good number of them are truly legendary strong. Heck, their top Buffmon Trainer is a World Battle Champion for six years straight.
Services, Items & Gear:
Objects and services that others provide or can be found/crafted to help Buffmon in various ways
Trainer Centers:
Buildings that are almost like shopping malls for Buffmon Trainers, where they sell the various items that they use on their journeys, that includes camping gear, gadgets, and even clothing.
Healthcare Centres:
As the name suggestions, these are places that provide special care for Buffmon, as well as shops for the trainers to buy items and gear for their Buffmon from. Their services include, but are not limited to, food canteens, massage parlors, health inspections, tantry rooms.
Buffmon Shops:-
Special shops that sell items and gear for Buffmon specifically, or items for their Trainers to aid their muscular companions.
Buff Gyms:-
Gyms that specialize with training Buffmon, and have the machines and gadgets to do it. They even sell portable machines and devices for a Trainer to take with them if they are traveling.
Trainer Gadgets:-
Special gadgets and devices that Trainers carry around with them at all times.
Buffdex:
A digitized manual of sorts that holds all of the information a Trainer needs about all kinds of Buffmon they encounter, as well as allows them to note down any new information they find out about these amazing creatures.
Helix Scanner:
A special device that scans, flora, fauna, and Buffmon and adds their data to the Buffdex. It can also be used to scan Buffmon for any irregularities or hidden health issues.
Helix Pod:
Portable containers that can be used to hold Buffmon inside of them.
Helix Box:
A small box that can carry various items inside, regardless of size.
Portable All-Trainer:
A special device that is basically multiple workout machines in one.
Symbio-Slime:
Man-made, automated slime that comes with various benefits and functions, including but not limited to: aiding Buffmon in training and providing aftercare.
BuffPhone:
A device that is used for, basically, cheering for your Buffmon during a battle or a challenge. Normal, cheering doesn’t do much, but when a BuffPhone is used, the Trainer’s voice is infused with a special energy and frequency that will greatly psych up their Buffmon for the challenge ahead. The affects are pretty temporary though.
Battles and Challenges:-
The kind of challenges, besides battling, that Buffmon love to take part in.
Battles:
Straight to the point duel between 2 Buffmon or a bout between 4-6, if its an even number, then it would be a tag-team, but if its an odd number, then it has to be a free-for-all. All participating Buffmon duking it out to the last one standing.
Race:
Once the race track and goal is set, the Buffmon would dash with all their might to be the first to reach the goal. These take part in certain places, where Buffmon race tracks exist, usually in small settlements or big cities, but there are also the natural race tracks for Buffmon, although those are pretty rare and very hard to find.
Trials:
A series of challenges that will test a Buffmon’s strength, stamina, and endurance. They can be pretty much anything, long as they are not dangerous or with a high chance of causing injury. The Buffmon who completes the most challenges by the end is the victor.
Showtime:
These are more of a beauty pageant and bodybuilder contest mixed into one. Where a number of Buffmon are chosen from a roster of participants to show off the result of their hard work and how much care their Trainers put into their growth and physique.
Buffmon (After)Care:
Some activities and ways to take care of your Buffmon when winding down after a hard, long day.
Food & Drinks:
Most foods and beverages are universal for Buffmon, but there are also specialized foods, drinks, and recipes that are the favorites of a certain type or element of Buffmon. The more a Buffmon eats or drinks something they like, they will love their Trainer even more and their bonds will strengthen.
Physical Care:
Showing them a lot of affection, physical care is all about being close to your Buffmon, body-to-body, a massage is one form of said physical care. Some trainers take it another step further by offering sexual pleasure/release, something that Buffmon truly love, but its rare to see someone doing that.
Medical Care:
Of course, your Buffmon’s health is very important, so making sure that they are healthy is pretty major, and if they are sick or on the verge of becoming so, there are always medicine made for them, since normal medicine doesn’t work on them, there is also the option of natural remedies like certain herbs, fruits, vegetables, etc that can be found out in the wild and crafted into a quick medicine.
Trainer Missions:
Besides official battles, trials, and tournaments, and shows that Trainers and their Buffmon can participate in, they can also go on missions that are usually posted on Mission Boards near or in Trainer Centers, Health Care Centers, and Buff Gyms.
Dungeons & Lairs:
Special areas are filled with wild, rampaging Buffmon that tend to cause trouble in nearby settlements. Usually those areas are infused with a strange, powerful energy that Buffmon can use to grow stronger, much faster, but they don’t stay around for long as once the leader of that group of Buffmon is defeated, the others will hightail it out of there, leaving the place empty for an unknown amount of time, and the Buffmon who make their home in such places tend to change from time to time, as well as the energies that waft around the place.
Usually, such places are only allowed to be undertaken in trainer groups of 5 for Dungeons and 10 for Lairs, as the Buffmon in there are much more powerful than any average Buffmon. But completing one of these battles and defeating the leader(s), will open the place for Trainers and their Buffmon to collect as much materials, resources, and anything that could be useful for the Buffmon.
Systems and Mechanics:-
Battle:-
Normal battles which are usually 1v1, 2v2 tag team, or 3-5 free-for-all. Items can be usable or prohibited in a battle, but that must be agreed on before the battle starts. The one who starts first is, usually, is the fastest Buffmon, but if they are the same speed, a brief game of chance is required, or if the Trainers themselves agree on who goes first.
In a battle match, the participants take turn issuing commands to their Buffmon to use certain skills, but most of the time, Buffmon can fight on their own until the Trainer intervenes with instructions.
Race:-
It’s as the name suggests, a race through a predetermined track where Buffmon get very little aid from their Trainers, the only thing the trainers can do is mostly cheer their Buffmon on as they wait by the finish line.
This challenge will rely on the speed and reflexes of the Buffmon, usually Swifts are the ones who take part in these races, but there are some exceptions who will surprise you. Also, Buffmon are allowed to use their skills and attacks to bypass obstacles and hindrances along the way.
Trials:-
A set of challenges that will test everything about the Buffmon, their strength, their intelligence, agility, reflexes, and sometimes even their sturdiness. It could be literally anything, and some Trials focus on a certain stat during the entire event.
It’s usually a set of 3-5 challenges, the Buffmon with the most wins by the end is the Victor. In these challenges, item use is totally prohibited, unless they are items that restore stamina, if a Trainer is caught using stat-boosting items, they will be disqualified on the spot as these challenges test both the Buffmon’s natural stats AND the result of their hard work with their Trainers.
Performance:-
This is the true show of results of a Trainer’s and Buffmon’s hard work.
These shows aren’t only about showing off a Buffmon’s body and their gains, as the title says, these are full-on performances, with flare, and pizzazz, making it look cool, awesome, and beautiful. The judges will make their decision upon what they see and what speaks to them, their focus will be on the Buffmon, that’s true, but they will also look at techniques, focus, and most importantly confidence.
It’s basically a bodybuilding contest with some extra flare and lots of glamour.
Buffmon Stadium/Proving Grounds:-
Largest structures in any city and its in these places where the Buffmon and their Trainers will prove themselves against the best players, the Masters of the Stadiums, in the city.
Before challenging the Master, a number of Trainers and their Buffmon are chosen to undergo certain Trials set before them by the same Master and the winners will have the right to challenge the Master themselves. If there is a tie between two or more Trainers, then they are to resolve it in a battle, 1 Buffmon per trainer, the last man, or Buffmon rather, standing gets the previlige to challenge the Master.
After a break of course, to allow the Buffmon to regain their energy and heal their injuries to be in their peak shape for the upcoming battle. And that is what it is against the Master and their Buffmon, a straightforward Battle with the basic rules in place.
If the Master wins, nothing happens, the Trainers can try again once they are stronger. But if the Trainer wins, they receive the Challenger’s Emblem, proof of their victory against the Stadium’s Master.
Hall of Champions:-
Once all of the Challenger Emblems have been collected in a region, then the Trainer is allowed to challenge the very top Trainers and Battlers of the entire region, the absolute Champions.
