Ch. 13

Before I walked back out the room I turned to look back at the sleeping Riolu. The Riolu just looked like it was smiling peacefully as it slept. ‘Pleasant dreams little one.' So I softly closed the door and walked back up the stairs to our room. I slowly placed my ear to the door and sighed happily as I heard soft breathing coming from inside, meaning that Jenavee was still asleep. So I opened the door and saw that Jenavee is still asleep, though facing away from me. So I quickly moved into the room, got undressed, and slipped into bed beside her.

I just lay on my back for a while with my arms behind my head, just looking at the ceiling, thinking of how that that Riolu was treated. ‘Would I be able to help it overcome that ordeal?' Of course I hoped that I would be able to help the Riolu and eventually become it's friend. A few other thoughts ran through my mind then my old friend sleep came calling and I closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes again to the same dream again. The Nirvana. Then just like last time the voice came again, telling me to reveal my past in it's demanding voice. Just as I was about to tell it that I had already explained my past, I thought that I recognized that voice. Though the voice was a little different, I tried to place it. Finally it hit me like a baseball from out of left field. Though the voice was a little angrier and a little different pitch, their was no doubt that it was...Jenavee's voice.

"Alright Jenavee, I know that this voice is yours. So why don't you stop this little game and show yourself!" The voice stopped as if thinking about what I had said, then spoke.

"Well I would have never thought that you would be able to find me out Donovin. Just what was it that gave me away?"

"Nothing really, other than the fact that I finally recognized your voice. So are you going to show yourself or do I have to come and find you?" I heard something shuffle behind me.

"No, that is quite alright." I turned and saw a young girl standing right behind me. She was wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a matching skirt. She had on green socks that looked like they went right underneath the skirt. She had green hair that had two red ribbons on either side of her head in it and red eyes. She was a shorter than me by quite a bit, but she was still tall for a kid about eight or so.

"So this is what you look like in my dreams." She gave me a smirk.

"No, this is what I would look like if I were a human pretending to be a Kirlia." I nodded to her then sat against the tree with one knee raised, and patted the soft grass next to me. She sat down next to me and looked at me while I looked off into the distance.

"So what makes you think that I am hiding anything from you Jenavee? I have told you where I come from already." I said to her without looking at her with a frown on my face.

"Being a Kirlia I have the ability to feel a persons emotions and also being a psychic type I have the ability to look into a persons mind."

"So you have been digging into my mind without my permission?" I said a little angry. Knowing that most of my thoughts I would and need to keep private.

"I am sorry, but I just wanted to get to know you a little more. I also wanted to see this village that you told me about since you should have a mental picture of it, but when I tried to see it in your mind all I got was just words, no images. Which I thought was quite strange. So being curious I went a little deeper into your mind and I found most of your past is in a thick white cloud. Like you were trying to hide your past or were trying very hard to forget it." I nodded. "I am sorry for doing this, I guess I got a little overly curious." I smirked a little and shook my head.

"You know Jenavee, there are better ways of finding out something than digging into someone's mind. But seeing as you went that far to get to know me, I might as well tell you a little more about my past. Is that alright?" She nodded. "Like I said before, I come from a small village in the mountains..." Just then my eyes went into the back of my head and I fell back against the tree.

Ch. 14

"Do you think this medicine will work doctor?" The nurse asks. The doctor removes a syringe from a tube that led to the young mans left arm.

"To tell you the truth nurse, I don't really know. This new type of medication is still in it's testing stages." The doctor stands up and puts the syringe into a red bio-hazard box that hangs on the wall next to the bed.

"What if the mother finds out that you are using an unreliable and possibly dangerous drug on her son?" The doctor removes his gloves and throws them into a waste basket and turns to the nurse.

"The mother has given her consent to try this new method to try and wake her son, since we have almost exhausted nearly all other resources. Besides, its not like this drug is really all that dangerous. We only gave him a small dose to see his reaction to it." Just then the mother walks into the room and sits down in the chair between her son and the window, then places her purse next to the chair. She looks up at the doctor and he nods to her.

"I have just administered the dosage to your son and we should hopefully be seeing a reaction in the next few moments." The mother nods and turns back to her son.

"I hope that you are right doctor. I just can't stand to see my son in this state for so long." She is on the verge of tears and is about to cry when her son begins to stir.

The boy slowly begins to move a little then moans. The mother is on her feet and looks from her son to the doctor and back again several times. Eventually the young man opens his eyes and the first thing that he sees is his mother with tears falling on his face.

"M.M..Ma...Mooth...Mother?"

"That's right my boy, come back to me. Come back to your mother." The boy looks at his mother and gives her a weak smile then his eyes go wide and he utters a last few words.

"Send me back. I'm not finished yet. Send me back." The boy repeats this several times, each time a little softer, then his eyes glaze over again and he slips back into unconsciousness.

The doctor rushes back on over and checks the boys vitals. "As it would seem, he has slipped back into a coma. Though this is the first time that anybody has ever wanted to slip back into a coma after coming out of one. Well it would seem that this new drug has a positive reaction and since we now know that it works then..." He stops right there when he sees the mother hold up her hand.

"My boy says that he isn't finished yet. Whatever that means. I wish for him to remain like this for a while longer if that is ok with you doctor." The doctor stands back up and looks hard at the mother with shock in his eyes. "You now know that this drug works on people that are in a coma. So why don't you go and offer it to someone else now. Someone who needs it more than my son."

The doctor nods to the nurse and they both walk out of the room, then shut the door after them. "Why doesn't she want her son to wake up doctor?" The nurse asks.

"It would seem that she wishes to honor her sons request and let him remain as he is." He looks into the room through the glass in the upper part of the door. The mother is brushing a stray hair out of the boys face. "But, the boy had just given us a nice jump and hopefully a step in waking other patients that are in the same state." With that the nurse and doctor walk off.

Back in the room the mother smiles down to her son as she leans over him and kisses his forehead. "I am happy for you my son. You seem to be having a wonderful dream. Enjoy it then, but know that one day I would like to have you back." Tears fall on the sleeping boys cheek. "There are people out here who love you and want you to come back us."
