Drakensang Teaser
#13 of Drakensang
As for the upcoming chapter is still far from being complete, and since it has been very long time since the last update; I thought I'll upload this, as a sort of a teaser.
Hope you like it.
Sir! - a draconian knight met them by the walls - They have commandeered one of the garryons and fled the city.
Man the trebuchets - commanded Var'Lsh - If they're still in range we might as well bloody their noses.
A garryon, huh? - Said Kyle looking at the departing vessel - It's funny. We used to call our vessels galleons. They even look alike. Though ours didn't have oars...
Instead of admiring it - Sha'Rae butted in - you could do something to stop it. Or are you not as powerful, as you'd wish us to believe...
Sheesh... What's your problem? - he asked taking the chaingun from his back, and opening the chamber of the rocket launcher - Frustrated and in deep need of a man inside you?
She does have a point, you know... - said Var'Lsh looking at him, just in time to see the helmet deploying around his head.
Ship's expendable, yes? - asked Kyle reaching to his back with his free hand and pulling out a large cylinder.
He then put it into chamber and locked it in place. He aimed the gun from the hip, adjusting it a little. Then three lines flown on his HUD, and formed a triangular target-lock mark on the rear of the ship*.
- Yeepeekaye. - he said and pulled secondary trigger.
The cylinder jumped out of the barrel, with a hollow "plop" sound; a set of small fins sprung around it to stabilize its trajectory, and then the chemical engine of the missile kicked in; sending it straight to the rear of the fleeing ship. Missile punched through the wooden hull with childish ease, and buried itself deep within.
The violent explosion that erupted nearly vaporized the ship, splitting it in half, and sending heavy wooden logs in the air, like loose straws of hay. Some of them reached them on the walls, and even flew past them, falling into harbor behind them.
- Well... - said Kyle with a perfect unconcern - That's that...
He reopened the chamber, and pulled out the empty shell. Looking inside for a short moment, deemed it salvageable, and put it back to its place on his back, just below the RIG, with three more of them, still unused.
- What? - he asked, suddenly aware of a certain kind of silence around him. - Some of the necromorphs are very, very big, you know...
After saying that he hang the chaingun on his shoulder - it was too large to be placed on his hip, and ever so casually turned around.
What now? - asked Sha'Rae, as she first came back to reality
Now I'll go and fetch my toys - he said - It's no use to hide them any longer...
_*Predator targeting _system rip-off... I'm not overdoing it, am I?
