TF story
There, I wrote my first story. Wanted to put it into words and just did in the end, because, why not? You don't need to be a super writer to write what you intend to, it's just a form of expression after all.
He was walking down the park, a favorite way returning home especially at that time of day, -when the light is just right- often repeating in his mind. The late evening was casting its warm yet melancholic colors of a day coming to an end, while everything around was gradually darkening and welcoming the forthcoming night. Trees and bushes were quite sparse around, but very well fitted to divide the city from that wild spot. The lamps were yet dead since there was enough light to walk safely nearby, even so the atmosphere produced a wild and pleasant sensation, added with the gentle wind caressing his face. The sound produced by the wind moving the surrounding vegetation was also making him feel more... at home?
That was a thought that he always had since childhood, or was it? Too far back in time to remember when it started, it was like it had always been there. A strange way to feel connected to those simple tricks, -that's what they are in the end- he always thought about, and yet he felt drawn to that kind of environment, feeling even safe sometimes, to the point of welcoming the wilderness as his own protector: where he could always find a shelter and feel, in fact, at home.
"Well screw it, home can wait" he mumbled with a low voice to himself. While reaching to a bench as he started kicking the small pebbles, then just sat there to relax. Careless of the other people passing nearby his concentration was dedicated to his surroundings, looking around him with a distant glare, then after a while ending just to lay back his head and stare at the sky above. Clouds passed by slowly and light kept going down, while he pursued imagining his own fantasies about being a dragon.
That was his strange secret. Never talked about anyone of his fantasies as a dragon, although all his friends knew he loved dragons by the amount of t-shirts, statues and posters he owned. He felt to be a kind of hominid dragon though, not the classic western and feral type, but an anthropomorphic one. It made much more sense to him, especially when he often imagined climbing and jumping between trees in a dense forest, using all its limbs, included the wings and tail. Oh and of course, there was flight: the actual reason for which he was gazing to the sky, lost in his own mind while picturing himself up there, in the void of air, the wind blowing strong in his snout and lifting him by the wings. The whole world was laying just below.
The world below. That's where he was doomed to stay for all his life and never going to experience that. Sure, he could go for learning how to fly a plane and maybe even start a career there, but at his point of life it had become already too hard; plus affording a proper maintenance of a license was also hard and, after all, it wasn't the same thing as to really fly. He didn't have a really wealthy economic condition, but he wasn't complaining about it either. Life was getting along. He was never made to live that way, to care about money or to succeed as the society was requiring him to. He was made for another type of life, another type of world, even.
He was living alone, never really found someone to share his life with. Someone who would have understood him, his desires, his fantasies? How could a person like that exist? Thinking about that just brought more frustration to him, and he pulled up his head just to realize that quite some time was passed, perhaps an hour or more. The lamps were already casting their light while darkness engulfed the park, even yet the sky remained colorful.
"Now it's time." he let that thought out with his voice even if no one was really listening. He was alone in that corner. People don't come to the park at night, they are more busy with city life and all the entertainments it can offer them. Putting his hands in the pockets, and looking down at the road while walking away, he continued in his thoughts. The way continued onward in front of him, but he didn't really feel to rush his return home, no, he was walking slowly, still immersed on those thoughts. He could not let them go so easily, they were part of his life since many years now. Though, there was also another strange feeling that time. He felt observed?
-must be that old creepy sensation that comes when you're alone- thought to himself, trying to dismiss it and keeping on walking. But he also knew pretty well how that worked: once it gets in your mind, it sticks with you until passing home's door. He was also occasionally turning around, just to be sure, along with the illusion of seeing shadows where they weren't... or were they? Then a funny thought came to his mind: what would feel like to stalk into someone, after following and hunting like a predator. Here the dragon thoughts came back again and this time mixing with the anxiety of being alone at night, at the deserted park. But at least those thoughts kept him less focused on that strange feeling.
Then, in a moment, he somehow knew he had to, looked up at the tree he was passing below. Something was there. Eyes staring at him: and they were definitely not human.
The tree's branch trembled and left some leafs to fall, while he was knocked on the ground.
A few seconds later, the hit on the back of his head was still hurting and the whistle in his ears started to fade away. Instinctively trying to rise up, but unable to, looked at some sort of creature on top of him. It was a scaled hominid, with a snake's, now wait, a dragon's head! And it had wings indeed, and a tail and... claws. The dragon was sitting knelt over his body, with those clawed hands pushing over his chest, to keep him in place. A strange mix of dark colors were laying on its skin, green and yellow. And those eyes, black slits in a yellow pit, still staring into him. The natural reaction of the human was just to grasp those arms with his hands, but they were strong and unmovable. His heart was already racing since a while, though he was just realizing it now.
He didn't even know what to feel. He was somehow in danger, but that stare was so intriguing, he could not think about fighting back. He was... attracted to that creature? That thought was not really new to him, he often wondered if he would flee from a dangerous dragon, as a thought experiment, yet to actually happen... he is surprised even of his own reactions now. After a few moments of rushed feelings and reflection, he realized the dragon didn't want to kill him. It was waiting, for something. For him to do something, or perhaps to say something? The human slightly tilted the head on a side while maintaining eye contact with the creature, and leaving a puzzled expression on his face.
Thinking about saying anything was even more difficult, not for the fear, which surely was still there, but for that kind of... embarrassment? All those feelings he always had for dragons, and now one was just there, on top of him. And even how he pictured it too! In a sort of human-like form. It was too much a coincidence, was it? "I... Hi... Hello?" was all that he could say. It was like trying to speak without breath, although as soon as he started to talk, the hold of the dragon over his chest was now becoming a gentle touch, knowing he would not try to escape.
"I have been watching you." the dragon talked this time. It had a voice which seemed neither feminine or masculine, and definitely neither human, yet he felt reassured by it. The human attention was focused on those moving scaly lips while they revealed its sharp teeth. And yet he was experiencing something familiar. The creature's snout was moving close to his face, almost touching his nose, before talking again "Do you like me?".
"YES!" he could not resist to answer that loudly and very promptly, almost instinctively. The dragon was very intuitive about his feelings, but also so direct and straight to the point, and he liked that. But he could not say anything else, awaiting for his captor to talk once again more: "I am here for you. I know about you and your feelings, and what you wish for. I can give it to you. To become dragon, like me." - "How do you know... wha... dragon, me... I..." he just could not resist more to keep talking, let his head fall back, closing his eyes while tears were flowing by. It was too many emotions to take for him, too much at the same time, happening so fast, he was breaking down. None of both talked for quite some minutes. While the human was lost in his joy, the dragon patiently awaited, until, at a certain point it started talking again. "But there's a catch."
-here it comes- he suddenly rushed to think -always a price to pay-. But was it really so bad? He would have paid all the money of the world put together for this, and even more. "Do you want money or, what?" the human quickly proposed, in a sort of indignant tone. He was quite disliking money, to him it was only a mean to survive like any other, and nothing more. The dragon smiled, if that was possible to consider a smile, though the human definitely interpret that as one. Then, it stepped its snout back to its original position, while continuing "No, don't worry. This is a toll you're very capable of offering, the only problem is... if you're willing to."
The dragon's hands retracted from the human chest, to sit and relax at the creature's thighs. "You will be mine. And I will own you. You will do whatever I tell you to do, and be my follower and servant. But it's not one-way only. I will also be your mentor, and teach you all the things a dragon should know. How to fight, how to fly, and much more." - "But I don't even know your name..." - "I am Kiantis, you can call me by name if you want. Then one day, when ready, you'll be able to chose your path. But don't worry, if you wish to remain with me even after that, I won't cast you away."
It seemed quite fair. After all, even if he imagined about being a dragon for so long, he didn't really know how it would have been to fly or, whatever else. He was completely with no experience. He would have been also defenseless and... just like a child lost in this word, perhaps even a world that would turn against him, and nowhere to go. Still, a bit concerned about his human life: would he have lost it completely? He had to ask. "What about my life? The life I have now?" - "Are you attached to your life? Don't you dream to leave it behind and become what you always felt to be inside?" - "Yes but, what about my friends?"
The dragon's right hand moved forward on him, first laying the back of its fingers in his chest caressing, then raising up to his neck, ending with a claw gently stroking his chin: "Do you wish them to join us?". -wow, there's already an 'us'- he thought -he knows I'll never refuse it- "Perhaps, I just don't want to lose them." - "So it shall be done then, we will think about them too. But now, you have to answer my proposal, will you join me?".
The human was already lost in his fantasy, knowing it will become real now, and didn't realize his hands were touching the dragon's front parts, just about the height of the tummy. He pulled them away, and so did the dragon, returning his hand on the thigh like before. There was something strange though, that he just noticed right now... the dragon was sitting on him with its legs open, but... "Wait a moment, aren't you naked? Shouldn't you have something... there?" - "A dragon body is neutral, but we can assume any gender we wish, at will. There is no need to have one unless required. But I will also teach you that, and more things in that regard. Yet again, you didn't answer to my question. Will you become a dragon?"
He reacted without thinking much, gently grasping the neck of the dragon, to pull its head against his, and he also rising at the same time, so he could face it once again very closely, just like before. "Yes, take me".
The dragon then finally stepped back from its position, and stood up lending its hand to the human "Come, rise up". Their hands touched for the first time as he was being helped to stand. "Take everything off" continued the beast "all your clothes, anything." - "Oh wait, it's going to happen here and now?" - "You will do anything I say you to do, remember? Learn how to trust me. Don't worry about people, they're not even getting close, I can sense when someone does."
And so he started taking everything off. Stripped his clothes, and dropped on top of them all his stuff, the house keys, wallet... He was holding his mobile phone while realized that his friend was calling him two times already. He was so immersed in the recent events he could not feel the vibration buzz of the call. "Oh... he called me twice" the human thought aloud, while the dragon's hand grasped his forearm, in a delicate touch: "Don't call them back. And shut down the phone. It's plausible you would run out of battery and we don't have time for it anyway. We will think about them tomorrow."
He was already starting to trust the creature, doing as it said, without asking or objecting. He was about to start anew, as a dragon, and he surely needed someone to trust this whole thing with, someone that would help him. And who better? He threw the phone on the cloth pile while continuing removing the underwear. He was completely naked. A bit chilly but wasn't really embarassed by that, now. "OK, I'm done, what now?" - "Eager are we?" the response by the dragon was somehow concerning the human, did he do something non respectful? Then he was reassured by: "Oh! Don't fret about it. I was only amused by that, you'll be a good dragon, I sense it... now come closer, and hold me."
He surely didn't wait for that, and stepped close resting his arms around the creature's neck. The dragon's expression now became serious, while it was passing its hands behind the human back "This will hurt for a while, are you ready?". -pain? I wasn't expecting that- suddenly came in mind to him, feeling a bit uncertain on how much would have been painful, or if he could bear it -but, I am way into it now, and don't want to go back, I'll go through the end of it whatever it takes!- perhaps that's even what it meant to be a dragon to him. So he nodded, and closed his eyes.
The dragon's claws started to pierce into the human skin, on his back just below the ribcage. At first it was just like a set of needles, very unpleasant in that strange spot, but still bearable. But as soon as they got deeper, the pain intensified and started to be serious pain. But he didn't scream or whine. He held his teeth together. He was trusting the dragon with all his heart, while tightening his hug on the beast, which smiled at the reaction and reassured him: "Yes, stay with me. You will not be alone, I won't let you go. Don't worry, everything will be OK." There was pain where the claws deepened into his flesh, but also some kind of warmth, like something was... seeping into him? Then he started to understand: was the dragon injecting something into his body? Everything made sense, and he was so happy to be in its embrace and to lend his faith towards the dragon, that pain was already starting to wander off from his senses.
Then, he started to feel different. His touch was lost, he couldn't feel anything. Suddenly opened his eyes but the light was much brighter than before, being able to see details he was ignoring just a moment ago. Was he already changing? Didn't have a mirror to see, but pretty sure he was. Even the pain in the back was completely gone now. Although he didn't feel much with the touch, he still felt his weight gently held by the dragon. Yes, it was still there as promised, with him. He felt protected.
Something started to tickle behind his back. Was there wings forming, like the dragon's in front of him? Was a tail already there? He was so filled with trepidation to know what was going on with his body, and so turned back to check. Yes, his own wings were forming, growing slowly but very evidently. He was already smiling, both inside and outside, he wanted to kiss the beast he was hugging. All he came him to do though, was stick out his tongue, it was forked! And to lick its nose. But why he could not feel the transformation? The dragon smiled at the affection, but understood he was also puzzled about what was going on.
"It will take a few other minutes more. Thankfully the procedure prevents you to feel any pain, and will reconnect the nerves only when it's complete, taking care of the new limbs too" was explaining the dragon. -wow, it seems to know what's going on, who is actually this dragon and from where it's coming from?- he just realized now that he didn't ask any of these questions. He only went straight into trusting it, because he felt it to be his own brother already. Then the dragon continued "It's a bit complicated to explain how it works, but let's just say it's nothing magical or supernatural. Only technology". This was a bit dampening that atmosphere of wonder that the human was finding himself into. But, after all, this *was* reality, and that's why he was so happy! It was happening for real! But, technology? What did that mean? Was the dragon a product of some research, or perhaps even another human turned into one? All these questions, but for that, he had to wait.
He could see his own tail growing on his back, the wings were already fully formed in the meanwhile, and also noticed the scales forming over his skin, gaining that same color the other dragon's had. It was pretty fast afterwards, just a few minutes, and the two dragons released each other from the embrace, looking pretty much the same. It was done. He was already feeling his new body, and it was glorious. He stretched his arms and wings wide, while looking at their ends. The other dragon was amused by that, smiling, so it left him in his moment of happiness for a while.
But they could not stay there forever. "Come with me my apprentice," the mentor interrupted "other things must be done, and I have another gift for you. Take all your stuff with you, but throw the clothes behind there." pointing towards a bush nearby "you don't need a shirt with a dragon on it anymore to remember you, you *are* one now." That made him very proud, and hastily obeyed, then followed him.
They were going deeper into the park, into non-walking areas. The park was quite big after all, the best one in town. The sensation of his paws walking on the earth and grass, messing up the perfect cut and going into no limits areas, was making him fiercer and careless of the rules of his old world already. He was a dragon now, he was made to follow his own rules. And most of all, his new tutor. They ended up in a small hole on the ground hidden behind bushes, where they entered. A small burrow... a couple of bags were in a corner. It was sort of an improvised hideout, not much else.
"Here, take" the leading dragon pulled out something from a bag, it was a sort of very short leather strap with a buckle, well made and stylish too, with some metal studs, and a sort of symbol resembling a couple of dragon wings on it. The other one took it, while the dragon in front of him continued "wear it." - "Uh, isn't it too short for a belt?" - "It's not a belt, it's a collar, your collar." For a few seconds, a veil of silence gazed down and covered them.
-What??? What does that mean, that I'm a sort of pet?- he was a bit disappointed by that, he thought his relationship with his teacher would have been more... detached? So he started objecting "Oh... but I... me, wearing a collar? What does that mean?" - "Obey and wear it. You're mine now, that's what it means. But you won't need a leash... yet."
-fine- he thought -fair enough-, while he brought the collar around his neck. He was feeling a bit guilty to be so rude after all the other dragon did for him. He was a dragon too now, and all thanks to it. So he finally accepted it and started to stretch it close around his neck -it wants me to be its pet? I'll be happy to, this and even more, for the gift I've received-. So he ended in tightening it, then passing it in the buckle and securing it with the pin.
He was now observed by his master, which was definitely enjoying the look of it. It liked him. That was reassuring. Somehow all of this wasn't looking so bad anymore. Then, talked to him again "Now, we have a world to dragonize! But first... I know what your human name was, but that is not your name anymore. You will have a new name, a draconic name. You will chose it. So what name will that be?"
Liked the story? Wished to be the human in it? Then make a reply starting with "My name is... !"
