Four years have past.

Kel sat in front of his hut smiling as he watches Joric, Bane, Roan, and Zane play together near the garden, then suddenly he heard Joric starting to sob. Kel got out of his chair jogging over to find Joric holding his nose as Bane was yelling at Zane.

"You had to hit my brother Zane," Bane said seethed pointing a finger at Zane.

"Hey he ran into my hand," Zane argued as Kel looks down at the three.

"What happened," He commanded as Kel bent down to pick up Joric to find his nose was bleeding.

"Zane slapped Joric," Bane whined as Zane points a finger at Bane, "He ran into my hand, we're playing tag," Zane said in his defense pouting.

Kel raised an eyebrow, "Well don't let it happen again, but all of you three laps around the house," He commanded getting a groan from each of the boys, as Joric sniffles in Kel's arms.

"Did I stutter," Kel said as the three boys began running around the house, while Kel took Joric inside the hut.

Once inside Kel got a cloth and dipped it in water, then starts rubbing the blood from Joric's nose, " Zane didn't mean to," Joric said in between sniffles.

"I know, he's gotta learn to play a little gentler, unlike you and your brother, Zane got the full dose of winter wolf strength," Kel said wiping the last bit of blood from Joric's nose.

"There all better," Kel said as Joric wraps his arms around Kel's neck and hugs him.

"Thank you daddy," Joric said happily.

Kel smiled hugging his son back, "It's no problem my gentle one," Kel said using Joric's nickname.

Like Zaldon, Joric was gentle at heart, and was always sensitive. While Bane on the other hand got Kel's stubbornness, and overprotective personality.

Kel chuckled to himself thinking Bane was probably gonna give Zane a bloody nose sometime in the future.

"Well let's go see if they finished their laps shall we," Kel said holding onto Joric as he walks outside to find the three boys laying on the ground panting.

"Three laps," Kel asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes grandpa," Roan panted out as he got up.

"Good boys," Kel said putting Joric down, and patted his back.

Zane walked up to Joric rubbing the back of his head, "Sorry I hit you," Zane said looking at his feet. Joric just smiled, and hugged Zane, "I should've dodged" Joric chuckled as he broke the hug.

Kel smiled as the boys began to play. Hours past and the sun began to set on the horizon Kyilan had picked up Zane, and Roan by now leaving Kel and Alonia with the twins.

"Whens daddy Zal coming," Bane asked sitting in Alonia's lap playing with her mane, while Joric sat in Kel's lap watching the sunset, and just then a poof of smoke erupted in front of the hut.

Kel waved his hand coughing a bit as Joric gave a sneeze, "Sorry I'm late," Zaldon said as the smoke cleared with Zaheer standing beside him.

"Papa," The twins said in sync with each other as they bound from the laps they were sitting on, and run up to Zaldon who bent down picking them up giving each of them a kiss on the forehead.

Kel and Alonia got up each planting a kiss on Zaldon's cheek, "Don't worry about it Zaldon we know how busy it gets for you," Alonia said sweetly as she brushing a hand against Bane's back.

Joric gave a yawn resting his head against Zaldon's neck, "We should get these two to bed," Zaheer said with a smile.

Joric looked up at Kel, "Daddy will you come and tuck us in," Joric asked giving Kel the look that would melt the black furred wolf's heart.

Kel lets out a sigh, and smiles, "Of course Joric," Kel said turning to Alonia, "I'll be back my Alonia." Kel said kissing her on the lips.

"I'll be waiting my Kel," Alonia said returning the kiss while getting ewwwwws from the twins.

"Hush now," Zaldon said chuckling as he hands Joric over to Kel.

"Say goodnight to your mother," Kel said chuckling.

"Good night momma," Joric said smiling with those gentle green eyes.

"Good night momma," Bane said with a yawn.

"Good Night my boys," Alonia said leaning in to kiss each one on the head, before giving Zaldon a kiss as well.

With that Zaheer placed his hands on Zaldon and Kel's shoulders, while Alonia went inside the hut as the group transported to the sun village with what seemed like a second.

Joric and Bane sneezed as the smoke cleared as they stood in front of Zaldon, and Julyan's large house.

"We should really research a better way for teleportation," Zaldon said to Zaheer who nodded.

"Yeah I agree hate all this smoke," Zaheer said in agreement.

Then Zaldon noticed Yahiko was walking down the street with a large backpack on, "Going somewhere," Zaldon asked when he got near.

Yahiko smiled, but avoided Zaldon's gaze, "Yep going on a camping excursion with some friends," Yahiko said smiling at Joric for a moment, before starting off again.

"Well have fun alright," Zaldon called out as Yahiko walked towards the village gates.

"He seems distracted," Kel said with a raised eyebrow.

"Well being a royal protector can be quite stressful," Zaldon said shrugging as Julyan came out of the house.

"Papi Julyi," Joric said happily but yawned, while Bane just smiled holding out his hands.

Julyan smiled taking Bane from Zaldon hugging him, "You two look like you had a fun day," Julyan said as the group walked into the house.

Zaldon and Zaheer remained in the living room as Julyan and Kel walked upstairs to the boys room, which was good sized room with two beds at opposites sides of the room.

On Joric's side was a night stand, and a window, while on Bane's side had a bookshelf with several small books filled it's shelfs. Kel laid Joric in his bed tucking him in while Julyan tucked in Bane.

"Hey Dad can....you sing," Joric said hugging the sheets to him, "Yeah Dad please," Bane added making Kel chuckle.

"Alright alright," Kel said gesturing Julyan that he'll take it from here, Julyan smiled as he exited the room.

Kel took in a deep breath and began to sing.

My sweet Joric, My Dear Bane

The day has ended, and the night has come

So lay you sweet and drewry heads, and let dreams take hold

For I am your father always, and forever

Joric and Bane yawned as they listen to Kel singing to them, and soon sleep took them into the world of dreams. Kel smiled as he planted one more kiss on each of them before quietly leaving the room.

Kel walked downstairs, and sat next to Zaldon, "Their asleep," Kel said as Zaldon wraps an arm around Kel happily,

"We need to figure out something better so they don't have to be village hopping their whole lives," Zaldon said rubbing Kel's back as Julyan took a sip from his wooden cup.

"I know I know we'll figure something out," Kel said kissing Zaldon on the cheek. Zaldon chuckles returning the kiss.

"we should have Alonia here when we decide something," Julyan said getting a nod from both Zaldon and Kel.

"Well I should be getting you back home," Zaheer said standing up, and then sudden a loud crazy could be heard from upstairs.

"Boys go back to bed," Julyan yelled upstaris.

"Daddy!!!!!!!!!!," Bane screamed from upstairs.

Kel, Julyan, Zaldon, and Zaheer all bound upstairs into the boys room to find the window smashed in, and Bane crying, "He took my brother, he took my brother," Bane wailed as Kel ran to the window.

Kel looked down and yelled, "Yahiko!!!!!!!," He screamed looking down seeing Yahiko holding an unconscious Joric in his arm, along with a spear.

Yahiko bolted running down the deserted streets as Kel lept from the window and landed in front of the house, and set off after Yahiko.

Kel managed to catch up to Yahiko his eyes filled with rage, "Give him back you bastard," Kel yells his nose flaring.

Yahiko turned about surprising Kel hitting him across the head with the butt of his spear knocking Kel to the ground out cold, before running once more into the night.

Kel groans as he woke up finding that he was back in the living room of Zaldon and Julyan's house, Zaldon sat across from him holding Bane close tears in his eyes.

Julyan slunk in his chair sobbing, "Julyan," Kel said groggily straightening up.

"He got away Kel, he got away with Joric," Julyan began to sob louder holding his hands against his face.

"No!," Kel yelped trying to get up but the sudden dizziness caused him to fall back;

"I already told the chief, he has search parties looking all over the place," Zaldon said trying to fight back his tears.

"Zaheer is even helping to find him," Julyan spoke up sniffling.

Bane began to Wail, Kel reached over taking Bane into his arms hugging him tightly, "Bane I promise you I will find him," Kel said as he began to sob with his son.

Zaldon sitting next to him as he lays his head on top of Kel's wrapping his large white arms around them holding them close as the longest night in their lives continued on.
