Dawn Flower
One full moon,
I had a man,
his voice, his laugh, his smile in themselves were a boon.
I had a man,
he would brighten my day,
You are my dawn flower,
he would say.
And I would ask why,
he would reply with such power;
Dawn flower, because when the night comes you close up your petals,
resting in your sweet cocoon, strong as metal.
But, when the dawn comes, you bloom like the flowers,
with such beauty and grace, growing strong as stone towers.
Dawn flower, he would say,
I will love you, at all hours.
