lucarios story, ch2
whew, took me a few hours but ch2 is finally done. it didnt quite go how i wanted it to but i guess its ok. let me know what you guys think of it. and stay tuned for ch3
when i woke up the sun had just risen. i looked around and saw that everything wasjust the way i left it. i stood up and stretched. the lucario is still in the same place as he was last night. checked his wounds and they looked to be healing okay. i drank some water and filled my canteen from a nearby freshwater stream. i still wasnt sure what to do with lucario. as i was thinking i looked out across the lake and saw a river on the other side running from the river into the forest. hmm ill bet that river is from a mountain spring. i remembered hearing that the springs in this region are very rich in minerals and often have healing propertys. i guess thats my best bet at helping lucario. if i can just get him to the source ofthat river i may be able to save him. i withdrew him back into his pokeball, packed up my gear, and set off around the edge of the lake. when i finally reached the mouth of the river i saw there were fish swimming up and down stream. i grabbed a few and after wrapping them up i deposited them in my pack. the trip to the foot of the mountain was uneventful. when i finally reached it i realized i had really underestimated how hard this would be. but that didnt matter, i was determined to save this pokemons life no matter what. i didnt have a harness or ropes or anything for climbing but the mountainside wasnt too steep. my arms and legs felt like hell but i kept head up and kept following the stream up the mountain. after a while my movements became involuntary. my brain shut down but my muscles kept going. i looked up and realized i was close to the summit. at that moment i found new energy and climbed with all my strenght. finally i put one hand on the summit. then another. then i pulled myself up. i looked around and saw that the stream was coming from a small oasis of vegetation hidden by the summit. i was tired as all hell but every second counts so i ran forward. i dropped my pack and took the pokeball out of my pocket. i pressed the button and once again was blinded by a flash of red light. when i regained some sight i saw the pokemon slumped on the ground but this time i heard a low groan coming from deep in its throat. at least its alive and somewhat conscious. i picked it up in my arms and was surprised at how light it was. i walked to the pool of clear cool water and gingerly waded in. the water was pretty cold but it felt nice on my sore muscles. i removed lucarios bandages and slowly lowered him into the water. once the water reached its chest spike i heard it groaning again. the water was definitely working as lucarios wounds were already starting to close. i sat there for a minute watching him when suddenly his eyes started to twitch and slowly open.
