Alright so my last journal may have lied. I'm working on this now, when anyone I know who plays League deserts me. So here's this. Any help tagging is a please, just message me what you add so I can keep track ^^
Initiation. He'd never heard anything about it, other than the fact it was the deciding point in your life. "I've trained all my life for this" he thought, anxiously waiting. "What are we supposed to do in here anyways?" They'd told him to prepare, but there was nothing to prepare for in his mind. He was going to go in, and walk back out. If his parents had anything to say about it, he'd return an Eagle. But of course, no one but him had that choice. At least that's what everyone said.
"Sis over there though, she always takes everything seriously. I mean look at her." Doing exactly as he thought, he looked at the girl sitting across from him, legs crossed and eyes closed in a meditative state. Beautiful golden fur, and a great big fluffy tail was always the first thing you noticed. Then it was the fact she was incredibly short. Her head coming up to the middle of an average person's stomach, she wasn't the first choice for someone who could tear at least two limbs off in a matter of seconds. Then again, no one would take a 14 year old for being able to do that.
Just as no one would expect someone who was breaking the six foot mark on height to be 14 either. Looking down at himself, He reflected on what made him him. Black fur, darker than night, and defined muscles. Of course, you would have muscles too if you had been trained for a single moment that might involve fighting all your life.
Examining his hands, clenching and unclenching them, flexing all the muscles he could in his arms, he allowed his mind to wander. What marking would be get? Eagles always had it over their chest, Lions got it on their neck, and he'd seen Snakes with the markings on their arms. He thought an Eagle would look nice on his chest, and no doubt his parents thought so too. But he had never been sure.
"What's wrong Tai?" Tara's voice startled him, causing him to look up at that pretty face and beautiful green eyes, although he never quite saw it that way.
"You always think something's wrong Tara."
"Because you always make it seem so." She said teasingly.
"I beg to differ. I've never done that!"
"Please Tairan, you know you do. Always sulking around. What's wrong, nervous?"
"No, just thinking."
"About what? What your Eagle will look like?"
"Yeah...Eagle..." Tara had always been sure of the fact they would be Eagles, just like their parents. Tairan had never been so sure. Something inside him just...said he wouldn't. They wouldn't. That there was something bigger out there calling.
There was a knock on the door, rather startling in the silence that had taken hold in the past three seconds. "It's time." Said a deep gravelly voice. Tara jumped to her feet, eager as always, while Tairan stood slower. They both went to the door, stopping at it, side by side.
"Once we're in there, don't leave me" Tara whispered.
"Who's nervous now?" Whispered Tairan back.
"Shut up." With that, they both stepped forward, through a door, and over a threshold that would change their lives forever, for better or worse.
