Chapter 2

The car ride was silent, except for the random bursts that Coco made. Many of them were comments on something she saw on the side of the road, or what had happened in her first period. After thirty minutes of her talking to herself she finally got the message and sat in the back of the car messing with a string on her skirt. Twisted watched the street signs with a narrowed gaze.

"Adolph," she whispered out "turn left here." Adolph did as he was told, and the car was silent once more, but this time the only sound that was to be heard was the clicking of Dante's lighter. Twisted placed her hand on Adolph's thigh. "We're here."

Adolph turned the car off and they all piled out. Dante looked around with disgust. They were at an abandoned apartment building. Grass and tall weeds were growing up from the cracks in the concrete path and the bricks in the walls. The bricks were a washed out brown color, well what could be seen of the bricks through the ivy that climbed up the walls spreading out over half the front and side that was visible to the group. Shingles were littering the small yard in front. "What the hell is this?" Dante asked with a spiteful tone.

Twisted turned to look at him with a growl. "What the fuck is your problem!?" she snapped out darkly, advancing towards him.

Adolph and Coco stood by the car watching the other two go at it. Coco tilted her head to the side and a soft gasp escaped her mouth. "Oh my god."

Adolph turned to look at her with a bored expression. "Oh my god what?"

Coco shook her head rapidly. "It's nothing." she tried to tell herself that but in her mind the words that she knew Adolph would dread floated around. Twisted likes him!

Twisted growled shoving Dante. "You're a really piece of work. You know that!" Dante smirked after he had regained his footing. He leaned forward and whispered something in Twisted's ear that made her gasp. She growled turning on her heel storming away from him.

Adolph met her halfway with a sad yet smug smile on his maw. "I can see you two are going to have fun."

"Shut up!" Twisted snapped with a growl. She walked up to Coco and nodded her head before continuing towards the old building. Coco turned to look at Dante and Adolph with a sad smile. Turning back to Twisted she followed her friend.

Adolph turned to Dante with a grin. "Don't mind her. She's usually like this."

Dante pulled his lighter out and flicked it open and close a few times. "Oh, no. I don't mind her behavior.' he walks past Adolph whispering to himself, "I actually like it."

Adolph watched Dante with a growl. "What?" He shoves his keys into his pocket chasing after the other male. Dante ignored him as he slowly walked after the two females. Adolph growled gripping Dante's shoulder spinning the other around so that they were face-to-face. "What did you say!" he hissed out.

Twisted and Coco stopped walking when they heard Adolph growl. "Adolph!" Twisted called out a bit of fear in her voice.

Dante placed his paw over top of Adolph's and squeezed it hard, lifting it off of his shoulder. "I meant nothing by it. I was merely saying I liked her spirit."

Adolph snarled snatching his hand away form Dante. "Stay away from her." He said with a narrowed gaze as he stormed towards Twisted and Coco. He looked at Twisted with hatred in his slate blue gaze. Such hatred that it made Twisted flinch. He gripped her hand turning to Coco saying, "Don't you dare follow." Coco nodded as she watched Adolph drag twisted in to the building fear in her eyes.

Dante swiftly walked up to Coco. She smacked his arm and frowned as she yelled "Look what you've done! He's pissed now!" Dante watched with narrow eyes as the door leading into the building closed. He placed a paw on her shoulder before walking towards the building. "Wait!" Coco called. "He said not to follow!!"

Dante smirked as he yelled back: "Yeah I know that!" He had seen a couple like this back at home. That poor girl had died, but that was because no one did anything, he wasn't going to let that happen again. Even though he had just got to know the other furs, he felt an odd bond to the female timber wolf. He opened the door to the apartment and slowly stepped inside.

Silence.

Dante shivered at the silence. He had never heard something like this before. It reminded him of a graveyard. Silent and filled with death. The strong smell of blood flooded his nose making him sneeze. "God don't let anything happen. Not again." He became silent as a sound from above his head caught his attention. "Damn," a soft cry made him spring into action. he ran down a hall trying to find the stairs leading up.

Finally he found them, as he was running up he hoped that he wasn't to late. Once he reached the top of the stairs he stopped, listening for which way to go. A soft rattling made him turn left. The hall was empty of doors except for one at the very end. He ran to the door slamming his body against it. The door fell to the floor. Dante sprinted inside only to find the room empty. "Damnit!!"
