CHAPTER 1

INTO THE MIND

Techno continued flipping through the channels with the press of his thumb on what felt like the remote control had one single, large, fat button on it. He kept pressing it, but never found anything good on t.v these days. But, what was he thinking? He wasn't even thinking about what he was flicking through. It just felt like sitting there like a slob was all he could do, watch images go by with each press, he sighed and stood up, yawning, stretching, and feeling a slight grumble emit from his midsection, he set a hand onto it and groaned, "What is there to do today?" as he raised his hand as if greeting someone.

And with the swipe of his hand,

the room shifted in his direction.

He raised his paw as if holding something heavy in it, pulling it upwards, as he suddenly levitated off of the floor, the green marks around his fur started to glow the neon green he knew from his entire life, as his eyes shined onto the walls, they all disconnected like a playhouse and soon all decorations shrunk into nothing and popped into green blocks, including the walls as they had all divided into tiny shards, he let his arms out as the cubes all launched into him, melting, becoming one of him.

With each shard he grew a bit brighter and took a deep breathe, and a sigh, looking at the main hard-drive once again. He slid his open arms in front of him, softly clapping, and what looked like a terminal computer appeared in front of him, he floated over to it, his green footpaws making some kind of light he could fly into and control, and sat on a floating computer chair, setting his hands onto the keyboard, creating a digital green-glass keyboard, he cracked his knuckles, "Are there any new updates today?"

He pressed a single key on the pad and the computer shot out a large green glass flame from it's sides, and flying behind and over the computer, projecting one large digital image in the middle of a seemingly endless black abyss crowded with floating green glass symbols around the place.

The image created the image of an X, and Techno sighed, "Not like I wanted one anyway. I think my mind is-"

and suddenly, he found an image in front of him,

saying Knock at Door: Kiseki.

The husky frowned a bit as the pop-up had actually frightened him from such a jump scare it put onto him, he leaned back in his chair and fell off, falling weightlessly into the abyss, like a feather, he sighed, "That's the only thing needing fixing."

Soon, he slowed down his falling, and closed his eyes,

his back landing on something soft and cozy, his bed.

He opened his eyes to find he was back inside the real world, with a roof over his head and a bed to be slept upon. He didn't create these things, the world did it for him.

He sat up in bed and hopped off of it, looking at himself in the mirror once more. He was wearing the same clothes he always would wear, his uniform. His black fur with green line markings around his head, arms, legs, and almost everywhere else, most of it covered by a white long-sleeved shirt hidden by a black leather jacket with more green markings sharply around the chest and arms, including black jeans, slick black shoes, his puffy husky tail behind, and his awesome, handsome looks.

But the knock on the door made him lose his train of thought,

"Techno, are you home? In the universe at all?"

The husky sighed as he walked down a hallway towards the front door, opening it for his good friend, Kiseki.

Kiseki and Techno have been friends for a while now. They met in the same apartment complex they live in today, as they were once neighbors. But, Kiseki went and moved in with Techno, now that they are best buds. The kitty was a cheetah, with a long bright creamy-brown tail and wit the rest of his fur, his golden yellow eyes and whiskers. Currently he was wearing white t-shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers, and the shirt covered by a bit of a puffy brown jacket.

The friend smiled and took off his jacket and Techno took it from him, setting it onto a coat hanger on the side, "How are you today, my kitten? How was your visit with a kiss to his cheek as Kiseki kissed on the cheek back, "Oh, it was alright. Joel is still very happy inside his cabin out in the woods, and he actually got a girlfriend, too!"

The two hugged as the husky smiled,

"Wow, good for him!"

Kiseki chuckled and let go, looking around at the apartment once more, "Man, it's good to be home. What have you been doing while I was gone?"

The husky shrugged, "I dunno, I was kinda bored without my favoritest cat in the world around to play with me!" he said with a poke to his nose. The cat purred and grinned at Techno, pouncing playfully onto him and poking at him as he was pretty ticklish, the husky laughed and struggled, "Kiseki, you bastard! You know I'm ticklish!" as the cat continued to play around.

The cat continued tickling at a slower pace,

"Wanna go back to your world? I wanna try something!" he asked.

The husky smiled and sat up a bit, "Of course." as he grabbed Kiseki's hand and suddenly disappeared into a green glass flash, pulling Kiseki in with him.
