#9 of National Poetry Writing Month

Poem #9 for National Poetry Month is about video games!

What kind of gamer are you?

Do you prefer mind bending puzzles? Or straightforward shooters?

Do you despise guns and prefer Flowers or a short Journey with friends?

Are simplistic stories more your thing? Or would you rather spend hours involved in a story that could fill a thousand pages?

Do you play it safe or go rushing into danger?

Carefully perched from a distance or jumping right into the heat of battle?

When presented with a choice will you be the hero or seize the chance to finally be the villain?

Do you revel in the chance to be respected or do you hunger for the chance to instill fear in the hearts of others the way you never could do in real life?

Are you the rescuer? Or the tormentor?

New age or nostalgia? Old favorites or new classics?

Do you hold on to your memories for as long as possible or exchange them so you can make new ones?

Do you stick to what you know or crave the chance to try something different?

I like mind bending puzzles and a simple Flower floating along on the breeze.

I stand in awe at the shifting sand on short Journey with silent friends.

I am the hero and I cannot leave the innocent behind.

I am the weapon that watches from a distance and then crash lands into the midst of trouble before the criminals can get away with their evil.

Sometimes I am ompatient and prefer to go in full steam ahead.

Sometimes I am calm and can stand for hours admiring the scenery.

I hold onto a few memories, but often exchange them for new ones and new hero's.

I like short stories and grand sweeping epics. I like fantastical adventures and star swept action.

I despise horror but live in the heat of the moment.

I am a warrior, survivor, hunter, hero, racer. I live a thousand lives through one pair of eyes.
