#4 of Poems

A pair of short poems I wrote in class, based on the concept of wordplay with a repeated word or phrase. The second one is a bit silly, but hope you guys might enjoy them anyhow. ^^

Spacial Awareness

Space, Outer or Inner.

I need more, but not very much.

Space to think --my thinking space.

When can I go there? Is it in space?

I try to fit into required spaces.

Spacebar chatters --might need replacing.

Space in my lungs; fill with air, please.

There is never enough space for all of us.

There is so much space for us all.

Sharing space with things isn't sharing.

Time and space bind dimension, not perspective.

Perspective changes within a new space.

Space doesn't have to be dark.

Flashlights and lighthouses divide the space.

Where is mine?

Space is limitless.

Space can restrict or emancipate.

Cliche

It's not rocket science, but science rockets always strike home.

Rockets are off their rocker without scientific fiddling.

Rocket rock-and-roll; eerie thunder containing its own science.

The science of silence -no rockets allowed.

Bird's Eye View

Bird's Eye View If the eyes are windows to the soul then mine can see for miles. The breeze is my ally, lofting me to blue yonder upon downy wings. Below, a patchwork of hues, minute detail revealed before my golden gaze. I offer a cry of...

The Mind Spiders

I saw a man with a spider yesterday. Eight beady black eyes not once a'flicking, Shiny sharp mandibles champing and clicking. It perched atop his head; a great bird of prey. "Sir," I asked, "Might I inquire what troubles you?" "My job and...
