Reunion
Part 13
"I gotta warn you... my older brother can be kind of an ass sometimes... he should be ok today though..." Franco warned as he and the small human stepped into his house, the wolf greeting them came as a surprise to the human, where Franco was lean and covered in show white fur, his older brother was huge, probably about 7'6" he was covered in even more hard muscle than Kurt, but on top of that he had a small layer of fat, making him appear modeartely smooth all over, though he was still clearly in good shape, his fur was a deep midnight black. He ran to his younger brother and hugged him.
"Welcome home buddy! OH! who's your friend here?" the big canine asked, taking a good look at the human "... Don't tell me... Brett right?"
"Yeah Ben, this is Brett, everyone else is busy, so I thought he and I could hang out, after all he is one of my best friend's mates!" Franco replied to his older brother... apparently named Ben...
"Um... he is... give me a minute.... Calo's mate... did I get it?" Ben asked Cautiously
"No buddy, he's Kurt's, Calo's mate is the little blue fox, Dillon..." Franco replied
"Damn it... I'm sorry..." Ben looked as if he were about to cry.
"It's ok Ben, no harm done, you tried your best right... and you got the first part right! ok ok, how about one more then? Which one is Kurt?" Franco asked patiently to the large wolf standing in front of him.
"Um... Kurt... he's... the... um... Is he the big tiger? Am I right?" Ben asked nervously.
"Yep, you got it, good job man! Brett and I are gonna head up to my room ok?" Franco said, a happy look on his face as he and Brett climbed the stairs in the small home. They reached the wolf's room, and he closed the door behind them. "So... I owe you an explanation about that I guess?"
"Not if you don't want to talk about it... I mean I'll listen if you want to talk, but I won't force you" Brett said to the wolf with a smile, a look of calm coming over the wolf's face.
"Thanks... but I really do want to talk about it... it's been rough... and... I don't know why but I feel like I can trust you... I mean, everyone else seems to... see... I was born when my brother was ten, so he always sort of took care of me, kinda like a third parent... when I was eight some psycho broke in... he killed my parents Ben heard him and ran in here, he told me no matter what happened that I needed to keep quiet and not move... he got over top of me, the guy shot in my room... well... Ben took the bullet for me... in his head... the guy saw me covered in blood and not moving, figured I was dead, so he took all mom's jewelry and left... er... almost all of it... anyway, Ben was ok, but he's had some issues with memory and anger management since then... he takes meds for the anger, but sometimes he can't afford them, so he goes a week without them... and then he gets really mean and beats me up... but... I love him... I owe him my life... I'm trying to get into a good college so I can take care of him when I get out... he deserves to have someone better than me to look out for him." as Franco finished talking, Brett hugged him.
"No... I don't think anyone could ask for a better brother... And I'm sure as long as you're happy he will be too." Brett broke the hug and sat back down
"Thanks... it's a load off to talk about it... I knew he got his meds today, last week he went without them... If he hadn't been ok today I would have taken you home, I can take his punches... but they'd probably kill you..." Franco said with a forced chuckle. Then a knock came at the door.
"Hey Franco... um.... can I come in?" Ben asked through the door.
"Sure buddy, I didn't lock the door." Franco replied.
"Is... um... Brett, staying for dinner?"
"I haven't asked... party's not till 8, wanna stay? Ben's a great cook?"
"Sure I will, it sounds great." the smaller human said with a smile, the larger black wolf's face brightened at the response as he ran down the stairs.
"It's the simple things like that, that's what keeps him happy, thanks." Franco said happily
