It's not a long story, but it's a sweet one. I was having internet problems yesterday so I was unable to upload it then, but better late than never right? Also, I know it's not Christmas, but it's the holidays and it's that time of year, so I thought I would make a little story for it. Hope you like it! ^^

It was an unusually cold night over in the small town of Levet. Everyone was in their houses, cuddled up to a loved one next to a fire, or having fun with friends. All except one specific fox, who still roamed the frosted streets. His eyes were pale as he slowly stammered around town, looking at all the others locked away in their warm houses. After completing several circles around town, the fox retired to an ally where he made his home. It wasn't anything special, just a metal container with a mattress, a couple of boxes filled with canned goods and a patch on the ground for a fire.

He climbed inside and started up the fire, then going to close the door. As he was closing the door a paw from the outside stopped the door. The fox was frightened, thinking it was some more kids that had come to beat him up again. His fears were put to rest when the owner of the paw slid into view. It appeared to be a bunny, yet it was hard for the fox to see that. The bunny's shirt was torn and was stained red in some areas, a blue collar wrapped around his neck that read "Mr. Sleazy".

The body shivered uncontrollably as its eyes stared at the fox. The pink eyes, void of any feeling looked as if they were going to cry yet there were no more tears to cry. The fox guessed his visitor was new on the streets, since he never seen this bunny before. He sighed softly and pulled the bunny in softly and closed the door. His guest went straight to the fire, curling up next to it and shivered more. The fox knew his unexpected guest needed medical attention or he would be the only thing living in the container the next day.

He looked through his boxes and found some cloth to cover the wounds. He moved closely to the bunny, which was examining the fox and knew what he was up to. After pouring some water on the wounds then covering them up, he began to cook a can of beans for his recovering guest. He was sure the bunny would be starving, so he planned on giving the last can of beans he had to him. As he cooked the beans he watched his guest fiddle with the collar, scratching at it furiously. The fox went over to his boxes again and pulled a knife out and helped the bunny take it off.

When the bunny looked at the collar off of his neck, his entire face lit up. He tossed the collar in the fire and hugged the fox softly. The fox froze for a bit, he hadn't felt a hug since he was a cub. The hug was warmer than the fire the two shared. Reluctantly the fox wrapped his arms around the bunny and held tightly around him. When the beans finished the fox put the beans on a plate and handed it to the bunny.

He took the plate and went to start eating yet stopped and looked over at the fox, which was fixing up his bed to make it suitable for his guest. The bunny tapped the fox's shoulder and offered to share the meal with him. After the two ate, they spent the night in each other's embrace never loosening their grip. The sun crept slowly into the sky, brightening the streets enough to have the kids run rampant with their new toys and other presents. When the fox woke up he was greeted to a smiling bunny that lay with him. They got dressed and exited the container to be greeted with laughter and smiles of children. The fox locked up the container and walked with the bunny down the street with a bright smile on his face.
