Though as I left the building instead of going back to the dorm I took a tour of the grounds. While I was walking around I got the urge to stop by the library. As walked towards the building the only people I saw walking around were campus security. They saw me then waved hello before they continued with their rounds. I also saw few teachers jogging around a nearby track but, paid me no mind.

Considering I walked behind the nearby building hence why they didn't see me. It just so happened to be the gymnasium with a separate building next door. That housed the pool and a few other things judging from the sign posted out front. After a good twenty minutes of walking I arrived at the library and cafeteria. Surprisingly enough the two buildings were interconnected as I walked inside.

The first place I walked towards was the library section to get things step up. As I walked in through the door an arctic fox was walking around barking orders at people. So I wisely made myself scarce just in case I'd get caught in the crossfire. Sure enough the second I ducked between two aisles I was spotted by the vixen. Doing my best to make myself look like I was busy only added to the suspicion.

"You there, you're not supposed to be here are you?" The woman asked looking at me intently. "I'm sorry, ma'am I didn't want to get in your way, since you're obviously having a bad day. I came here to get a library card before the school year begins. Since, things are hectic I'll just get out of your hair and return to my dorm." I replied turning around and headed towards the exit.

"Oh! You're the new arrival, Raven mentioned aren't you? Kinda young, but oh well. Come on sweetie we'll get you all set up. It's pretty crazy around here with the new staff I have to get situated and I'm trying to be patient. They just keep whining and messing up so it's rough getting things done. You'd think they'd never been a teacher before." She informed walking over to rather large front desk.

"Well, I was going to get my library but, if you'd like I could lend a paw. With helping you and your staff getting things ready for the semester if you'd like." I suggested as she stopped mid-step. "Hun, as much as I'd love to have your help, I could get into trouble. So it's best I help you with this and get you on your way. I'm sorry for being rude but, there are plenty of people helping set up already. Thanks anyway." She smiled.

"Alright, I figured since the semester is in two weeks, might as well make myself useful." I remarked. "I appreciate the offer mister-... Wait what?" She stated catching onto my last comment. Before I could speak she was instantly on the phone calling somebody. She was on the phone for about ten minutes and would occasionally look at me. Some of the looks she gave me ranged from unsure, to curiosity and finally shock.

She calmly hung up the phone a few minutes later then flagged me over to the desk. Doing as she asked I walked closer to the desk, unsure of what truly went on over the phone. "Judging from that look I guess I'm in trouble?" I wondered stopping nearby. She didn't say anything but, judging by her body language something was up. Naturally I kept my wits about me in case there was going to be any trouble.

"No, no you're not in trouble hun I just needed to double check with the dean. About you actually attending here, but Ms. Hunt confirmed what you said. We've never had a male student before you must've gotten really lucky, or perhaps unlucky... I'm not sure what to make of it." She replied leaning forward. "Pardon, me Miss but, I don't understand what you mean by lucky or unlucky?" I wondered looking confused.

"Well, if I told you that it'd spoil all the fun now wouldn't it? Here, fill this sign-up sheet out and leave it on this desk and I'll get you registered later." She stated handing me a packet. "Alright, thank you Ms.?" I replied trying to get her name. "Felicia Edwards, what's your name handsome?" She wondered offering her hand. "Leon Baldric, Ms. Edwards it's a pleasure to meet you." I smiled gently shaking her hand.

"Oh, believe me the pleasure's all mine." She said teasingly. With that I took the registration paperwork and found a quiet place to sit. One that would be far enough away that I wouldn't be in anybody's the way. After finding a cozy spot away from everyone that was still working. As I sat down I searched my coat for a pen luckily I found one. As I carefully filled out the application paper, something alerted me so I looked up.

I saw a female snow leopard walking by and wearing what looked like Goth apparel. She also had a spiked collar and a tail ring that seemed match perfectly with everything else. Sadly she stopped mid-stride then turned to face me, she didn't seem happy with me. "What?" She said bluntly. Then resumed her walk seconds later like nothing happened. So I shook myself silly and got back to finishing the application.

After ten minutes I doubled checked it then got up and returned to the library. Where Ms. Edwards was leaning up against the front desk rubbing her temples. I guessed to help rid herself of an oncoming headache due to her assistants messing up. Knocking politely on the counter causing her to look up from her chair at me. As I kindly placed the forms on the counter and kindly left without a word.

Once I left the library I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket to check the time. Noticing that it was getting close to dinnertime I decided to make a trip to the faculty cafeteria. My only problem was I didn't know where, since it wasn't in the same place as the student's cafe. I figured by returning to the administration building, I'd locate a map. This way I could find what I'm looking for and travel the shortest route there.

About twenty minutes later I found everything I needed then took my time getting there. Now according to the map the faculty cafeteria was in a separate part of the university. As I exited the building I ran into a very familiar face walking inside at the same time. "You know we really have to stop running into each other. I'm starting to get the feeling you're stalking me or something." The woman smiled.

Sure enough the person I walked into was the same pantheress from this morning. "It could just be strange attractors that keep causing us to continue crossing paths. Though I'm sure you're certainly no stranger to strange attractors, miss." I smirked softly. "Naturally, I'm a woman strange things only add to my mysterious nature." She said moving closer. "So what brings us together this time around?" I wondered.

"Oh, not much my shift just ended so I'm going to punch out and head on home." She informed. "Ah, well then please don't let me keep you any longer." I replied moving out of her way. "Hold, on a sec I don't think I ever gave you my name. Despite the fact I already know yours, I'm Veronica Malcolm Head of Campus Security. Sorry, for not introducing myself the first time we met." She said patting my shoulder.

"It's alright, Ms. Malcolm nobody's perfect I'm glad we've been properly introduced." I stated. With a polite goodbye we went our separate ways, since she had other plans. As I made my way inside the faculty cafeteria it was twenty minutes from the administration building. When I got there two of the women from the meeting were leaving. They smiled and greeted me while I held the door open for them.

Afterwards I walked up to the lunch line then I selected a few things that looked good. I showed the cashier the card, paid for the food then searched for an empty table. Sure enough I found a table near a window, so I walked over and sat down. As I ate nobody really seemed interested in bothering me, until a shadow loomed over me. When I looked up expecting to see Ms. Hunt only to see somebody new.

"Would you mind, if I sat here?" The tall black furred canine female asked politely. "Sure, please allow me, ma'am." I replied getting up to pull out the chair for her. "Thank you, sweetie how are you?" She asked taking a her seat. "Not too bad I guess just feeling a bit out numbered due to the female population. No, offense but, when you first arrived I actually thought you were someone else." I said as she took a drink.

"Yeah, I'm often mistaken for Ms. Hunt, since we're built about the same physically. So, you must be, Leon Baldric the male student I've been hearing quite a bit about. Sophia Velvet, Head of the Computer and Technology department, also professor of Computer's 101." She stated with a broad smile. "It's certainly an honor to meet you, Umm? Ms. or Mrs. Velvet?" I asked calmly.

"Sadly, it's Ms., not married yet, hoping to have that role filled sooner or later." She pointed out. "Well, good luck to you hopefully you find the right man that'll spoil you rotten." I smiled. "Thank you, so what about you gotta sweetheart back home waiting patiently for you to return?" She wondered tilting her head. I took a moment to think my answer through carefully before speaking.

"Unfortunately, I don't have a girlfriend, right now I'm just focusing on my studies. Once I get my dream career and a stable life, I'll probably go on the hunt for somebody." I informed. "Well, I can respect that but, I'd like to give you a small piece of useful advice." She said. "Sure, I'm all ears so fire away." I remarked curious about what it was. She took a bite of food, chewed it slowly and swallowed before replying.

"Hun, just by looking at you, I can tell you've got a big heart and very well spoken. No, doubt from a good up-bringing that's going to be a very big help to you in the future. My advice to you is this, 'Never pass up a good thing or even the request from a lady.' So etch that into the back of your mind for future use." She winked. "Thanks I'll certainly keep that in mind, do you mind if I ask you about something?" I replied.

"Alright, what seems to be plaguing you?" She wondered leaning forward. "The Dean and some teachers keep telling me, I'm either lucky or really unlucky. Could you shed a little light on this particular matter for me before I go crazy?" I asked honestly. Sophia sat there for a moment debating about giving me a straight answer. She decided the truth was better than the latter in the long run in any case.

"Look, in the time that I've been here no man has ever set foot on this campus. The board of directors and the dean made it clear that this college is for women only. At somewhat of a great personal loss since bringing men here did cause us...unfortunate problems. Like parties, brawls, pregnancies, arrests and other assorted things. By forbidding men it has kept a lot of the problems away from here.

Sadly, its also caused quite a bit of bad press for the dean and the administration naturally. Hence, why I think you were allowed to attend this university to lend a hand. So you're possibly a lucky guy to be surrounded by so many women at one time." She stated. "I see, thank you for telling me the truth and your opinion." I stated. "I'm glad I could give you a little insight into your current situation." She replied.

With that we moved onto much simpler topics and finding humor in past memories. The more we talked the more at ease I felt around her, she had this calming effect. Sadly our time together was cut short when her pager sounded off inside her purse. Taking the device out then read the code she kindly excused herself and left. I finished my meal a few minutes later, got up, threw my trash away and left the building also.

Slowly and carefully making my way back to the dorm for the rest of the night. As I entered the building everything seemed in order, nothing looked or felt out of place. Entering the elevator and riding up to the third floor then walked down the hall. When I unlocked the door I stepped on something after walking inside. Bending down to pick it up, I shut and locked the door behind me.

Once I turned on a light and sat down on my bed I opened the note, It read;

_ "Dear Mr. Baldric, _

_ I'd like for you to report directly to my office first thing in the morning, please. So we can discuss which classes you'd like to take during your stay here on campus. Afterwards Ms. Hunt would like to see you in her office to go over something important. You probably know what that's about, anyhow I'm looking forward to meeting you. _

_ Seeya Soon your Guidance Counselor, _

_ Samara Critch." _
