This is a poem about wolves. Inspiration struck me one night so I typed my thoughts out. Artwork by Avisk on FurAffinity.

Wolf's Howl

Forests deep and mountains wide listen to the wolf's drifting howl. Calling to family and friends alike. Where are you and where do you hide?

Running beneath the bright night sky. Hunting their prey and dragging them to their doom. For the sake of those little ones who wait in quiet dens.

Living beneath the full moon's glow. Running wild through mountains and trees. Let nothing take your freedom.

Howl beneath the sun. Howl beneath the moon. Gather the pack together for the hunt.

Raise your pups in meadows wide. Away from rifles and prying eyes. Protect the weak and serve the strong. Find the place where you belong.

Defend your pack with dying breath. Until they are safe and the danger is met. Howl to the moon brave wolf, brave wolf. Let no one tie you down.

Golden eyes follow forest trails where prey loves to run and hide. The strength of generations flows through your veins.

The wisdom of a thousand years.

The desire to protect those yet unborn and mourning for those left behind. Listen to the wolf's howl and hear the sound of freedom.
