The Gay Fight
1
"Haha he likes guy haha!" Pointing, laughing why does this have to happen to me of all people? "Ian! Wake up!" I opened my eyes to see Ms. Richard glaring at me. She isn't a horrible teacher just people misunderstand her. I don't so I don't really say anything bad about her. I saw two girls near the door whispering something. Every guy knows when girls whisper trouble is near. I placed my head back onto my desk seeing a quote on the board. "The most hardest thing isn't in war, but in the days you decide to do nothing." I didn't understood it. Being at war and doing nothing for you life isn't as bad as being like me. Here in high school. I'm gay and it labels me as a freak, but everyone thinks I'm straight so I'm fine for now. There might be others gays in this school, but I doubt it. Everyone is fine if a girl is lesbian or bisexual, but if a guy is gay or bisexual it's a whole different story. It's like you can't be yourself. "Ian!" I looked up and saw Ms. Richard continues to glare at me and hits the board with a yard stick. "I'm not sure." I set my head down looking at the clock as it slowly ticked away.
The bell rang to go home a few ran for the door. I took my time as a girl waved at me and blew kisses. This meant nothing to me I wish they were guys blowing kisses to me. I looked at the library door wide open. I decided I have nothing better to do. I allowed my finger tips to dance on the spines until I hit a blue book. I turned it around and began to read the back. "I-it's a gay book..." I turned around and made sure no one watched me as I slid it in my jacket. There's only one librarian and she's been working here for thousand of years. She can understand people by their body language I'm actually surprised she is even here. I slid the book to her with my ID card. "Hey Ian dude!" I turned and saw Robert walking up to me hitting my rear. He says it's a football thing and I wouldn't understand unless I'm in it. "What are you doing here man?" "J-just getting a book." The librarian placed the book on the counter as my heart stopped. If I hide it he'll try to take it and find out. if I just take it casually he will get it and find out. Man what to do! I saw him look at the cover reading it then it came "Dude that's a homo book! What are you doing with it?!" I didn't know what to say he's shouting all ready "Yeah I know chill dude I'm just going to burn it. What you think I'm gay?" I laughed slightly and punched him on his shoulder. "Haha na dude. Your to cool to be a homo." The librarian took the book back as Robert pulled me away. I looked back at the book. "No..." I wanted to reach out for it, and Robert looked back at me. "Did you say anything dude?" "Huh? No." He placed his arm around my shoulder, but it wasn't with love just in a friendly way.
I went inside my house closing the door to my room. Robert had practice to go to. So I was left alone. I grabbed my laptop and locked the door to my room going to my favorite site, but I couldn't enjoy it for some reason so I exited out. Wiping it from the memory. I began writing an English report. I stared at the monitor unable to let my fingers dance on the keyboard. My mind was else were it was with that book. I wanted it. I wanted to see how someone can be gay. I know this isn't a fairy tail nor will it ever be. There was a tap on the front door. I slid down the stairs and opened the door to see the librarian at my door. "Oh hi Miss um..." "Call me Ms. Luna "What brings you here Ms. Luna?" She pulled out a brown package. "I thought you might like to read this." I looked at it as she placed it in my hands "Well don't just look at it open it up." I opened it slowly and saw a blue corner. Can it be? I ripped the paper seeing the book "The book..." I looked at her and she smiled back. "Just don't bring it to school and return it. I'm there at school at six thirty and no one is there before me." I was speechless I ran my hand over the covered over and over again. "Well I better be off now take care of the book you understand." "Yes ma'am, and thank you." She smiled and walked away. I saw Robert not that far away I thought he was in practice. Shit I still have the book. I shut the door as I ran to my room looking around where to put it! I saw a dictionary maybe there no I don't have time to cut in it. I looked around and saw it. My old stuffed bear there was a zipper in the back. I shoved the book in as I heard knocking "Ian dude I know your in!" I closed the zipper and tossed it in my closet. I ran down stairs ramming into the door. "Fuck that hurt." I opened the door as I rubbed my shoulder. "Haha loser." "Gee no Robert I'm fine, but thanks for the concern." He laughed "Dude I need to borrow your homework so I can copy it." "What? No, you promised that you weren't going to do that this year!" "Fine. Well that's the main reason I was here later." "Yeah, later."
I went upstairs. I pretty sure everyone has a key. I grabbed the flashlight walking into my closet pulling the book out. I began reading.
"Ian! Come down for diner!" I closed the book smiling I love this book. I wish I was like him. "Ian!" Maybe I should be like him. No, that won't work. "Ian!!" "I'm coming!" I slid the book back inside and stood up pushing the door open.
I looked out at the sky the moon is the sun now. I looked out to the world. This isn't my kingdom and I am no king, but I pray I can make a change. I jumped out and grabbed the tree branch that was near swinging on it a bit till I jumped off. I walked around feeling the night breeze hit my face. It felt good I walked around more till I ended up at a shop called Dark Lord. I pushed the door open as a blast of odors hit me across my face. "Where am I?" I looked around and reached the counter where there was a skull. I was about to touch it as a man appeared behind me. "Welcome to Dark Lord." I jumped and hit the skull off the table. My fingers touched the tip as it shattered on the floor. "I'm so sorry man." I could see something in his eyes. Something dark in them. "It is fine you'll just be giving me one now." His hands came out of his dark black robe his hands like bones stretched out waiting for it. My bones shivered as he waited to receive something. I was paralyzed in fear. Then I remembered Ms. Richard. Not everything is what it seems to be. I gulped and quivered taking my wallet out. "How much did you say?" My heart beat quickened and quickened. His smiles stretched across his face as if he was a killer about to get his prey. "It is fine you don't have to pay me. Is there something I can help you with my boy?" His tone was dry and sent chills down my spine. "No it's fine I just remembered I have to be some where." "Come again." I began to leave turning around and he wasn't there. I walked up to the counter and placed twenty dollars down and ran out. The second I left the building the lights went out. I turned and looked at the sign "Closed..." I looked at a sign showing a open time I read it out aloud "Open everyday on any day at midnight. We will be back in twenty three hours and fifty five minutes." I checked my watch the time was twelve o' five. I think I've had enough adventure I can handle for about the rest of my life. I ran back home, but that shop couldn't leave my head. I climbed the tree and jumped into my room. My head continued to pound away at my chest. I couldn't sleep a wink in my own bed so I opened the closet door and lied down on a pile of dirty clothes closing my eyes I fell asleep in seconds.
