Delphine dragon description

Delphine is a quadrupedal copper dragon. Her body measures 20.54 meters from her nose tip to her tail tip and she has a wingspan of 20.72 meters. Her general appearance is greenish as her back is verdigris and her wings are a mix of oxyded copper and fresh one, only her chest and belly plates down to her tail are pure gold-like copper. Her head shape is angular but free of spikes. At about the third of the lenght of her head from her beak, her forehead lines goes pointing outward before going back in a nice curve to follow the basic streched-diamond-like shape of it. Her beak is made in a much stronger material than the rest of her lips so she can break through the toughest of stones, some rake marks are present. her nose tip is adorned by a remnant of her link with unicorn, the horn is « S » shaped and points in front of her, the horn appears to spiral on itself with a flat lane and an equally large groove. The horn appears to be hollow to the common viewer but closer attention shows that its inside is actually made with some different material although still transparent as you can see through the light blue tint of the horn, a shape similar to the outside is visible there as anything seen through is excessively deformed when seen through the interior part of the horn, the outer shell feeling glass-like. To balance that horn, she has got a small dull-colored copper one on her chin. Her muzzle line forms a nice and uniform curve down to the middle of her jaws where it goes downward then abruptly up as if her upper lip had been cut, and then resume the muzzle line down to where her jaws join. Few large scales line scatter her face as they tend to appear just as one for the whole face. Her nostrils are usually like small slits that can totally seal and be watertight when she dives deep in seas but in case of extreme necessity she can open them several inches wide. Her eyes are made of a slit-like pupil which can be opened as a large round pupil in pitch black darkness surrounded by an emerald green iris with some sharp thin black lines. She possesses three eyelids, the two common ones which are on top and bottom and one that retracts in the front of the eye. This third one if closed, limits her general vision, as it is meant to protect the eye from agression or attack and is fireproof, it also serves as a « stealth » factor at time to limit her bright green eyes from being seen. Her eyes outlines are bold and well defined. Her eyebrows are scaly and provide no hair, the scales seem to be hovering over the eye in a protective manner, while the bottom and front part of the eye surroundings look like grooves, the front one pointing up until it meets with the forehead line, while the one at the bottom back of the eye points slightly up in three spike-like grooves. An additional spike-like grooves being at the front bottom end of the eye. The back of her mandible carries another copper horn, but as it provided less and less protection during the centuries, the horn is just but a little protuberance that is slowly getting out of genes. The last part of her head is covered with her light blue mane, two locks are going down on each side just slightly behind her eyebrow, some of her mane drops between her ear and horns, the most part of it going down behind her head freely for approximately a good third of her neck lenght. Her ears seem to grow from the mane itself as the base of her ears are relatively small while it grows as large as her horns but shorter in lenght. The basic shape when seen from the side is of a losange with lines curving nicely inside for the outer edges., her ears are totally hair-free at the inside base. The ears are oxyded copper except for the inside where pure copper is the main color but very dull. Only inches from the ear base is the horn, it seems to have popped out of the mane in the same way it would out of a water fall. The horns are semi-sharp ended, their natural color is ivory and some scrap marks can be visible here and there for she is a young dragon for her species but six hundred years do leave some marks. It is still a mystery as to why and how she got it, but her head is covered with a gavroche hat and a pair of goggles. The hat is secured in place in unknown way but which prevents it from going away unless she wishes to remove it. The hat is black, while the goggles band is leather-brown with green lenses. She defines herself as the only « natural copper steampunk dragon ».
