A Hunter's Anguish (Poetry)
#2 of Miscellaneous Works
Hey everyone! This is just a quick poem that I made. It's about a hunter (me) trying to find love in the "prey." It rhymes every other line and follows the pattern, ABAB BCBC CDCD EE. (It's a Spencerian Sonnet in iambic pentameter if you know the technical stuff). Well I hope you like it and have a great day!
A Hunter's Anguish
I chase, running as a wind unrestrained, Through the forest, the swamp, the endless sea. Where shall I find that which all have proclaimed Greatest of all feelings, an ecstasy?
Wherefore art this love, for not yet in me Have I felt such a stirring sensation. I sight incredible prey all free, But none I witness in true elation.
To this, I give my accreditation. The hunt may not always end in success, But there is no need for desolation, The result can yet be one of progress.
In hope for this love, I march ever forward, Once I find love, it will lead me shoreward.
