He looked out over the moors of the land where the castle stood. The white moon made pretty reflections in the swampy water. His slitted pupils tightened as he caught whiff of something. A smell, and a foul one at that. He turned around to face the source of the odor. He faced the leader of the Kree.

"Why have you summoned me, Jallek?" he snarled. The monster looked him straight in the eye.

"I want to ask you a question," he said coolly. "Who do you take orders from?"

"Are you a fool? I take them from Zellamus," the Kree replied.

"Of course," Jallek said. "But who did you take orders from before him?"

"I took orders from no one before my friendship with Zellamus," he said.

"Do you want that privilege again?" he asked, moving closer to the Kree.

"What are you getting at, demon?" the Kree asked and eyed him suspiciously.

"What I'm trying to say is what if you could get back that immortality, that strength, that machismo? You do want it back, correct?" he asked.

The Kree thought a little bit and his eyes perked up to meet Jallek's.

"You couldn't possibly be serious, could you?" the Kree gasped. "Zellamus could kill one of my men with a single thought!"

"Ah, he could kill ONE of them with a single thought, but not all of them and me combined," he prompted.

"Are you suggesting an alliance, demon?" the Kree asked shadily.

"A genius, ladies and gentleman!" Jallek shouted and held his arms to the sky. "But I want the castle for myself when Zellamus is dead,"

"Very well, but what's in it for us?" asked the Kree.

"You will get free reign of all the land. You and your men will be free to kill and maim and burn and plunder all you want. Free to...increase your numbers, if you get my meaning?" he hinted.

"Our species can only be born by a female of our blood. If you haven't noticed, they're all dead!" he shouted at the hulking brute.

"Except for one, you imbecile!" he shouted back. The Kree looked lost. "Think about it, Marccus, who is your closest relative in this pathetic mortal world?"

He let Marccus think for a while before getting irritated.

"THE SNAKE YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" he screamed at Maccus.

"Oh...well I knew THAT, you don't have to be such a bitch about it," Marccus said and crossed his arms over his broad chest.

"Whatever, lets just get back to the point, who's the only snake in the surrounding area?" Jallek asked hopefully.

The Kree pondered for a few seconds, then looked up and laughed.

"Sulphira, it's time for breakfast," Zellamus shook her gently, accomplishing his goal and looking into her eyes as she woke. She smiled and yawned, revealing her sharp fangs and many small teeth that covered her jaws.

"Morning to you too, sexy," he cooed as he lay down next to her and stroked her head. She smiled and licked his face.

"Oh Sulphira, you embarrass me so," he joked.

"Only how much you deserve," she said.

"God, you two can go on!" a female voice came from the other side of the bed.

"Celina, do you mind? That's rude," Sulphira said almost angrily.

"Well, I'm sorry, but you guys do this every morning! Its been really quite annoying! I mean, every time I wake up, it's always 'Oh Zellamus I love you so much!' or 'Oh my god, your tits are so great!'" she mocked.

"Celina, I don't have tits," Sulphira said, holding back anger.

"Jealous?" Celina giggled. Sulphira looked angry, but then burst out laughing. They were both cracking up.

Zellamus looked at one, then the other, then at the first again, and then the other. He shrugged his shoulders and started laughing, too.

"What do you want, Sulphira?" Zellamus asked.

"I don't really know, I guess whatever you are having," she responded.

"I'm feeling like griddlecakes this morning," Celina said. Sulphira looked at her.

"I hate those, they're too...gritty," she said. Celina laughed.

"Good morning, my lord," Jallek greeted them warmly. They all looked surprised.

"Good morning...Jallek," Zellamus said hesitantly. "You seem...happy this morning,"

"Just happy about a death," he said slyly.

"About a death? How could you be happy about a death?" Sulphira asked.

"It will set me and others free...NOW!" he shouted.

The Kree stood up from their breakfasts and drew their swords, charging the trio! Zellamus took Sulphira off his shoulders and threw her to Celina and drew his own blade.

The first Kree ran straight forward towards Zellamus. He spun around and swung, Zellamus blocked and shattered the Kree's sword. It stepped back just enough to be in Zellamus' sword's reach. It fell, headless, to the floor.

"He cannot kill all of us!" one of them shouted.

"Watch me," he whispered. For the next ten minutes, the Kree attacked. After this was done, the living fell to their knees and begged. They were joined by an astonished, and terrified, Jallek. The Kree were pardoned and commanded to leave, but Jallek was told to stay.

"Please, your greatness, I beg you spare me!" he pleaded.

"Very well, on one condition," he said.

"Yes, my liege, anything!" Jallek sniveled.

"Why do you conspire against me?" he asked. "Have I not shown you nothing but good will?"

"It was not me! It was Marccus!" he shouted, pointing to where the Kree captain stood watching.

"What?!" he shouted. "You are as much to blame as I!"

"Lies! Filth and lies!" Jallek said angrily. Zellamus didn't know who to believe. The Kree began to reach for his sword.

"I wasn't the one who suggested that I--" he was stopped mid-sentence by a knife in the chest. Jallek relaxed his arm and stood.

"He was about to attack you, and I'm sure you're tired of killing those traitors by now, right?" Jallek tried to act innocent. Zellamus nodded and allowed Jallek to return to his chambers.

"How can you let him get away with trying to kill you?!" Celina asked. "You know that he will try again, right? He won't give up," she said as the monster thumped off to his chambers.

"I can forgive, but never forget. If he tries again, he will die," Zellamus said calmly.

A fine way to start the day, eh?
