Ace charged at Koga and threw a powerful jab at his face. Koga side stepped him and threw a punch of his own hitting Ace in the face so hard the force of the hit lifted him off the ground. Ace stumbled a bit and blocked one of Koga's kicks. Koga kept kicking at him switching legs repeatedly to keep Ace off balance. Ace managed to block some of the kicks but Koga was faster. He managed to break through Ace's guard kicking him hard in the chest and stomach sending Ace sprawling out onto the ground. Koga threw a series of shuriken. Ace dodged as many as he could but some of them did cut him but not badly. Ace charged at Koga again.

"I know all your moves Ace because I taught them you." Koga said as blocked each of Ace's strikes.

Ace looked into Koga eyes and saw that they were yellow which his normal eye color was. Even with the savage gene the gap between their strength was still growing. Koga was holding his own and wasn't even using the savage gene. Ace reflexes started to slow and his vision began to blur. Koga calmly crossed his arms. Ace fell to his knees panting heavily. He had been poisoned.

"Are you really so weak that you need to rely on poison?" Ace said.

"The poison is for your safety not mine. We are here only for the dragon. I don't need to waste my energy on you whelp." Koga said.

"You bastard!" Ace growled.

He tried to stand up but only collapsed onto the ground as the poison began to take full effect.

"The poison won't kill you but it will knock you out for the next 4 hours." Koga said as he turned and watched Fang.

Athena was back on her feet using the water she took from the air and the ocean. Fang has since broke free from the ice narrowly dodged each of the attacks as the water chased and followed him as if it was alive. He tosses several grenades but a water barrier engulfed her protecting her. Athena waved her paws and tentacle like water streams lashed out swiping at her aggressor. Fang ran dodging each swipe. He made sure to keep out of her reach. He reached into one of the pouched on his armored vest and tosses a cube at Athena. He clapped his paws and the cube soon exploded letting loose a loud screeching like sound. Athena held her head screaming in pain. Her water barrier soon fell.

"That water barrier is quite the nuisance. But it's no match for a sonic grenade." Fang thought to himself he then began to push a few cubes into the ground and threw another at her.

Athena smashed the grenade with her tail and took a step forward and felt her foot sink into the ground. The dragoness's eyes widened as the ground under her feet exploded. She has triggered a hidden land mine. Athena rolled onto the ground. Her legs were badly cut burned from the blast but still on once piece.

"You're a sturdy one. That blast was supposed to blow your legs off." Fang taunted.

"I didn't get the title dragon lord for my pretty face. It's going to take A LOT more than a small flesh wound like this to bring me down." Athena said as some water encased her legs.

The truth was she was very weak from Koga's strike. It was taking everything she had just to stand up. She closed her eyes and raised her paws and a massive tidal wave appeared. Fang quickly took off running at full speed but he couldn't run fast enough. The massive waves crashed down with tremendous force catching Fang up in the current. A small ice Berge soon rose to the surface carrying Ace but Koga was nowhere to be seen. Athena crawled onto the Berge as panting. She then heard the sound of laughter and saw fang standing on a hover disc just above the water's surface. He was different now. His short white mane was now long black hair and he has 2 tails. He also had a body build the looked like it was carved out of marble. He managed shift into his kitsune form and make an energy barrier got protecting him from the wave. Koga stood on a ledge above the water. Thanks to his savage he was able to out run the wave and get to higher ground. He turns on his wrist com link.

"So you are finally getting serious Fang... Just remember that Shinryu wants her alive."Koga said.

"Yeah I know get off my tail already." Fang growled shutting off him com link.

Fang glared at Athena as he considered his options while Athena considered hers. She had never dealt with a kitsune before and on top of it she had to defend Ace. She decided to take a risk and lead them away. She dove into the water and her body began to glow a whirlpool soon formed. Within seconds the water receded and turns to ice and take the shape of a massive feral dragon that was easily 400 feet tall with Athena at the center controlling it. She swiped at Fang sending him crashing hard into the ground. Fang stood up and dodged another swipe riding his hover disc just barely keeping out of her reach. The ice dragon opens its maw and spat a massive stream of ice at him. Fang again dodged planting more explosives as the blast froze his leg. A massive paw shot through the smoke and grabbed Fang.

"Well this isn't good." Fang said wincing

Athena tightened the grip more and Fang gritted his teeth in pain. Fang started to grin as she hadn't notices that he had placed several ion charge grenades into the ground and now they were set to go off. The first grenade went off shattering the ice dragon's lower half.

"This is checkmate you damn wench!!" Fang said with a sneer as his tails began to glow. He shatters the ice paw holding him and hit a switch on his wrist com.

Two more charges went off simultaneously catching Athena in the explosion incinerating her ice dragon. Athena crashed into the ground beaten and bloody. She heard a beeping sound and saw one of the cubes nears Ace who was still down. She did the only thing she could do. He paws glowed as she used her own blood to shield Ace from the blast but she was unable to protect herself as she again got caught in the blast sending her crashing into the ground again further away. She stood up again her legs were wobbling as she stumbled. Fang snarled and walked over to her. She threw a punch but Fang caught her fist in his paw. His tails began to glow as his fist started to spark. He punched her in the forhead. Athena's eyes rolled into the back of her head as the impact lifted her off the ground. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as she crashed into the ground, Fang opened his paw and a red energy ball formed. He threw the ball at Athena which exploded on impacted sending the dragoness flying into the air like a ragdoll. She hit the ground hard but this time she didn't get back up.

*CRACK!*

Chase looked over at a picture of Athena and saw a crack in the frame. The crack ran right through Athena's face. He picked up the picture.

"What the hell..." He said to himself as he gazed at the sky.
