I am sooooooo sorry for making you guys wait this long but everything came at me at once and that was not fun but I am back and have already started the next chapter. So it won't be as long as this one. If you are younger then 18 pray that no one knows what you are doing if older enjoy :D.

Part 6 Dragoune's Lair

'Today is the day.' Dragoune thought with a growl while getting up from the bed. Saneira did not wake up though, but Dragoune let her sleep while getting them both ready to leave.

'Dam Kaous dam him to hell!!' Thought Dragoune after finishing what he was doing and that thought woke up Saneira.

"What's wrong?" Saneira said sleepily, Dragoune did not say anything but he did not need to because he knew that Saneira knew what he was thinking.

"I am upset of it too but at least our family will be safe along with our friends." She said this while rubbing her belly. Dragoune came up to her wrapped his arms and wings around her and nuzzled her.

"You always know how to cheer me up." He said she nodded and gave him a kiss asking.

"What kind of a mate will I be if I didn't know how?" Dragoune did not know how to answer that but knew that it didn't matter. They separated reluctantly and grabbed their stuff and went out the door. When they reached the castle door they saw that everyone was waiting. Dragoune went up to Volaxone first and said.

"If Magnerous allows you a gryphon then tell the gryphon to come to me so I know who to look for on the coming weeks. So long my friend and have a safe journey."

"The same goes for you." Said Volaxone and they both shook claws. They all went out of the castle walls and then separated for the last time.

For the first few hours no one really said anything to one another. Crosain slithered a little faster to Dragoune and Saneira indicating that he wanted to talk to one of them while Saneira walked slower so she could talk to Siss and Traisa. Dragoune also slowed down so that Crosian could slither comfortably.

"So where are we going?" Crosain asked in a better mood then he was in the morning.

"That's right I did not tell you, remember me telling you about my old cave?" Dragoune said

"Yeah the one you were hiding in, but that was two years ago someone might of taken it by then." Crosain said.

"I was thinking about that too and if there is we will have to find a different one, in which I rather not. But then again I have a feeling that we really shouldn't worry about it." Dragoune said adding a smile at the end.

"I also remember you telling me that it was small how are all of us going to fit?"

"I am glad you asked that. My plan is to dig out another room or two so that we will have one room for you, Siss, and Traisa, another room for me and Saneira and the last room is for the nests." Dragoune said.

"Isn't pure rock though, how are we going to dig two rooms?" Crosain said

"It is not all rock and I can melt the rock although it will take time some to do so." Dragoune said

"That's good because I have a feeling that we won't be doing much of anything for a while." Crosain said

"How is Traisa and Siss doing are they comfortable with the idea of leaving?" Dragoune said

"Comfortable yes liking it no we rather stay in one place, but if we have to move then we will, how about Saneira?" Crosain said

"Oh she is use to it we really did not stay at one place until I became king." Dragoune said while he said this he looked behind him and saw that Saneira, trying to get a conversation with Traisa and Saneira with very little success.

"You know you got lucky Crosain having to find two beautiful mates that love you, not saying I want two but they sure are cute." Dragoune said

"You're checking out my mates there Dragoune?" Crosain said with a laugh.

"Kind of, but there is only one love for me." Dragoune said.

Saneira again tried to talk to the two female snakes.

"What's wrong, I thought that you would be happy knowing that you're eggs are going to be safe?"

"We are it's just that we don't know where we are going and don't know where supplies for our nests." Traisa said.

"Oh! Well we are going to Dragoune's and mine old cave to hide as for supplies I can show you where the best stuff is and where the best places to hunt as well." Saneira said she was going to continue but Dragoune held up a paw indicating to stop.

"Saneira do you smell that?" he asked She sniffed the air but could not detect anything so she opened her mouth and taste the air with her forked tongue. Sure enough she smelled a familiar scent but it was not friendly. Over the past two years there have been different groups who still liked when Dragoune's father was king, they terrorize anyone who goes into their 'territory'. They have stopped most of them but there were others lurking about. That was in front of them right now.

"Crosain Siss, and Traisa can you tell how many there are from here?" Dragoune asked since they had the better tongues. Crosain, Siss, and Traisa all raised their heads and flicked their tongues in and out. After a while they talked with each other and when they were done they turned and Siss said.

"We can not get an exact amount but we think around fifteen give or take a few."

"Okay this is what we are going to do, Saneira and I will hide our weapons but they will be in close reach if we need them. You guys try not to look so threateningly, I thought this was going to happen so I brought some gold with us and I hope we can bribe our way out of a fight." Dragoune said he turned towards Saneira and said.

"Here hide your swords behind your back they won't be able to see them but you can get at them quickly."

"What about you? You can not hide yours so easily." Saneira said Dragoune wrapped his wings around himself and concealing his swords which were at his waist. When everyone was ready they continued down the road.

When Dragoune could see the group they were going towards he started counting on how many there are.

'Only eighteen, let's hope we don't have to fight.' Dragoune thought thinking of Crosain, Siss, and Traisa and how they are not really good with frontal attacks. When they got close to the group they massed together blocking their way. Dragoune noticed their looks on their faces looked strangely familiar but he could not quite figure out why, putting that aside for now he said.

"Can we please get by I am late for a meeting and want to get there before the day is done."

"It depends on what you will give us?" One of the bigger furries said he was a pit bull. Dragoune sighed in annoyance to throw off these pests and digging out his bag of gold but all the while he was trying to figure out where he seen that look before. When he found his bag and looked up he saw that some of them had lost that look and now staring at Crosain, Traisa, and Siss in a mesmerized sort of way. He started to the gold out when Saneira came up to him and said very quietly.

"We seen this look before your farther had it too just before we fought him." Dragoune put the gold back slowly and put his hands and tail in his wings to grab his swords, but before attacking he said.

"You are not going to let us live are you?" as soon as he asked that both Siss and Traisa started going around the furries who were mesmerized, Dragoune then looked at the leader who was smiling an evil smile also getting ready to attack. Not wanting to be on the defensive side Dragoune suddenly lunged at the group. He took out the leader before anyone knew what just happened and suddenly a four more went down by Siss and Traisa's bites. That's when the battle started Dragoune was fighting with two while Saneira was having fun confusing a really big lizard, the lizards eyes could go every which way but Saneira was to fast for it. When Dragoune disposed two of his he noticed that Crosain was having trouble with two when ever he tried to attack one the other would lunge at him. Dragoune ran quickly as he could towards him, Crosain saw this and he was getting ready to strike. He waited at the right moment and lunged at the right one. The left one raised his sword but before he started to bring it down a sword struck right through while his partner got a full amount of venom in him. After the last one was killed, they started walking again just long enough to get far the place as possible.

When the sun was about to go behind the mountains they decided to head in for the night. While Dragoune got some wood Saneira and Siss tended to everyone's wounds. Dragoune was about to head back when he heard Dirther's voice call him.

'I know I am not asleep so why can I hear him?' Dragoune thought

'Of course your not asleep he his calling you through the trees the grass and the wind.' Firen said

'Well how are you communicating me?' Dragoune thought

'You should know this answer young dragon.' Firen said a little agitated; Dragoune realized that Firen was communicating him by the fire that is in him.

'So why I have not heard you before?'

'Because you were not listening.' Dargrin said to Dragoune's unpleasant surprise. Ignoring Dargrin, Dragoune asked.

'So what brings you hear?'

'Kaous has taken control of your kingdom not physically yet since he is still a shadow, but mentally as you seen before.' Dirther said but Dragoune did not know what he was talking about, Firen saw this and said.

'Kaous as the ability to control minds, but not the way you may think. He controls the dark part of the mind making the furry or scaly do at what he pleases, but the furry or scaly knows what's he or she is doing and yet dose not stop or resist because the darkness clouds his or her mind.' That's when Dragoune realized that his farther was still good even though he did terrible stuff and wished he had not killed even more.

'There was nothing you could have done. There are only two ways to break that spell one is by killing the one who is being controlled or to defeat Kaous in which you will have to wait until you have all the elements.' Dargrin said Dragoune heard what he said but still did not say anything to him.

'I wish to be alone right now.' Dragoune thought all three left his mind so he could think in peace. He then realized that Kaous did not keep his promise by sending those drones and kicked himself for trusting him. Not only that but he tried to figure out how in the hell Kaous found them so easily. That is when it hit him Dargrin must of told him. Frustrated and a little peeved Dragoune went back to the camp lit the fire and cuddle up with Saneira not talking to anyone.

When morning came Dragoune was still silent so Saneira asked what's wrong, while Crosain, Siss, and Traisa listened intently.

"It's nothing." Dragoune said

"Don't try to hide it Dragoune because I will find sooner or later." Saneira said with a bit of a laugh.

"I just found out that Kaous can control anyone with the right amount of darkness, but that is not the one thing that's bothering me. What is that I trusted Kaous to keep his word when I know he is pure evil." Dragoune said

"You can't just blame yourself for that we all believed that he would. But how do you know it was Kaous that was controlling them." Traisa said Dragoune thought about telling them that he was the great great....grandson of the dragon who first defeated Kaous and needs to learn different elements in order to do so, but then thought better of it because he did to worry any of them.

"I could tell by the look on their faces, my father had the same look and I knew that he wouldn't do all those things unless he was being controlled." He said, he knew it was part of the truth so that he could hide from Saneira but he did want to tell her, and it kind of hurt him to hide it but he did not want to tell her now.

After a time Dragoune asked Crosain how did he Siss and Traisa mesmerize those furries and scalies back at the fight.

"It is quite simple actually all we do is stare into their eyes for a while and suddenly they will start staring blankly." Crosain said.

"When does it wear off?" Saneira asked

"If we don't them close to an hour." Crosain said

"Snakes can only do it, right?" Dragoune asked

"Yes I have heard stories when others tried it but only die in the process because their opponent kills them." Siss said.

Around about the evening they arrived at their destination. When they climbed in they saw that nothing really has been touched, except that there was a lot of dust and Saneira's mirror had a crack in it.

"It is not much but we can work it out." Saneira said

"It is beautiful." Both Siss and Traisa said. While Saneira was telling them where they could sleep Dragoune was putting his gold into a compartment that he made that was behind the mirror. Just as he was closing it he spotted a gold chain. He picked it up and then laughed out loud when he realized what he was holding. He quickly got to Saneira and said.

"Hey Saneira you did not lose the necklace I gave you we were just in to much of a hurry to leave that we forgot it." Saneira laid her eyes on it and saw that it was the necklace that Dragoune gave her when they became mates. She burst into tears grabbing the necklace and hugging Dragoune very tightly kissing all over his head. When she got up from Dragoune she put it on and said.

"I will never take this off again." Still teary eyed.

"Well we all should have a good night's sleep because tomorrow is going to be a busy day." Dragoune said with that they said goodnight to Crosain, Siss, and Traisa. After cleaning the bed a little Dragoune and Saneira curled up together.

"I never knew that we would be back here but I am kind of glad that we are even though it is for the wrong reason." Saneira said

"Me too maybe when this is all over we can come back every now and then." Dragoune said

"I would like that." Saneira said nuzzling him

"Good night my beautiful dragoness." Dragoune said

"Good night my black knight." Saneira said and both fell asleep.

I know what your are going to say. That I did a poor excuse for forgetting Saneira's necklace and you know what I could not have agreed with you more. I shouldn't have even forgotten the necklace never mind thinking an excuse and from now on I will make sure that I will remember it.
