For a few weeks we sail as the Normandy continues to move through the waters, staying away from the ports on the shores of the Bisclavret but we should be seeing Triskellian in a matter of hours according to Serilda. Before we do start my leave we have to go through several checks on my crew and they all check out as former military of the Bisclavret with honorable careers based on the paperwork and with it we get our supplies situated. I say "We do have three more territories, though I have a feeling we're going to be in for a rough time."

Danica says "Yeah, the other three powers can be a little overzealous, especially the Doloreaux. The Bisclavret will let us in along with little resistance from the Avoirdupois, but the Doloreaux are extremely xenophobic. Not to mention they don't take kindly to the Phelan, especially druids and they are tolerable of the S'Allumer religion at best.", she looks to me "But being that your now a noble, maybe they'll listen."

Lalaine says "May the Light guide them."

I say "Religious persecution has lead to numerous conflicts, as human history can easily attest. With christianity and islam being by far the most destructive and responsible for a lot of damage, even in modern times with deities being proven to be fake."

Lalaine says "There will always be fanatics, unfortunately. A decent number of our faith prefer to practice in peace, though the church enjoys it's zeal and paladins."

Queco looks to me and she says something in her tongue, Relocca says "Queco wants to know if there are any deity's that you believe in?"

I think as everyone looks to me "To be honest I don't worship really any deities, though a few pantheons I do respect. The ones that have multiple deities are by far the most well rounded, such as the deities from Ancient Rome as they range in different concepts, others are the Greek pantheon and the Japanese religion Shinto. The thing is when it comes to my world a conman can't hold a candle to a clergyman, as the latter sells so many false claims, false hope and only exists to empty peoples bank accounts due to sheer greed."

Fabrizio says "We've read your report and we find it intriguing that according to it, the artifact resembled a sword hilt?"

Fabrizio sighs and he says "Then Vaslov must've taken the middle piece as Eleo said that the part that was taken was open on both ends."

Alcalee says "Then that means the tip is out there, waiting to discovered."

I say "If I may inquire, has Eleo found any other possible locations?"

Fabrizio says "Sadly no, but he has been comparing texts in the college and there are mentions of a weapon that was crafted long ago, the tale was incomplete as it was translated from a slate that was damaged. But what could be translated was that a weapon had been composed of three parts and each were placed in locations to await for the one to bare it. We believe that this may be that weapon and if Vaslov is hunting it, then it must be incredibly powerful."

I say "I can't chase ghosts on a matter such as this, there must be a way to try to figure this out. Any word from the other teams?"

Fabrizio says "We did hear a lead from our agents in the lands of the Avoirdupois that a number of paladins are gathering, some suspect a crusade but against who we don't know. As you can understand this is a matter of security and since we haven't heard from the others, we must make this a priority."

I say "It'll be a few days before the Normandy is ready, but we can set sail afterword."

Fabrizio nods and he says "By the way, as a precaution, keep the artifact part that you do have with you. It's best if it remains on the move."

Alcalee says "We also think that spies may be in the city, so after setting sail, proceed to the next location and the one afterword, otherwise Vaslov could be tipped off. That means while we'll give you some coin to work with, after that you'll be a full knight-errant and you'll have to find other means of payment. So you and your friends must take their belongings to add to the cover up and hope for the best and don't return until you have all the parts so that they may be safe."

I say "I understand, but what if Eleo or either of you wish to contact me?"

Fabrizio says "Eleo is practicing a communication spell that'll allow us to contact you if need be. The sad part is that we can't risk letters going to and from various locations for the same reason that you must jump from place to place. I've already brought Danica up to speed on joining you, she's willing to see this through with you and more importantly to see if Vaslov can be dealt with."

Fabrizio says "Never underestimate him, rumor has it he's practicing both white and black magic. If that is true, then you'll be facing a foe who'll be nearly impossible to stop. Your magic and fighting has come a long way, but his dabbling in the dark arts can give him an edge, an easy one at that. And his mother is a powerful sorceress, one who will kill you with ease if she gets the chance. We'll give you with all the information you need to study on them, we can't be too careful with a situation like this."

After conversing with the Don and Donna I call my friends to my room and I fill them in on the situation with Danica standing beside me, they keep a straight face at first but the news quickly hits them, that they'll need to pack everything that is their's before boarding the ship and the gravity of the situation. While there is the high nobility of the Archduke and Archduchess they function more as a form of confederacy and thus each house varies in power and influence. The major thing however is that they are a very devoted and stoic populace and they don't welcome other faiths outside of the church."

I say "A confederacy of knights?" which earns a nod from Lalaine and I say "This'll be more interesting then I thought."

Lalaine says "It may be best if the Phalen remain on the ship for this mission, unless you want the church and paladins breathing down your neck."

I say "I think they'll end up doing that either way, given my appearance."

Lalaine blinks and she says "Oh, right." with a sheepish smile.

I say "Also, I've been thinking. While I have been trying to learn as much as I can about the other houses, I wish to appoint you as my advisor for the duration for the time we are in their lands."

Lalaine says "It would be an honor to assist you... mi lord." with a witty smile at the end.

I chuckle and I say "Yeah, I'm going to have to get use to that."

Lalaine puts on a more serious look "But I am curious as your confessor as I have been thinking about this for a few days, did you have sexual relations with an escort?"

I put on a bit of a surprised look, I have never seen Lalaine with such a look, I could lie to her but I won't, I've been truthful with everyone thus far and I see no real reason to lie, I say "Yes, I did." as I look to her straight in her eyes.

Lalaine sighs, she says "I won't hold it against you as you simply wanted to enjoy yourself and deal with something that you've been suppressing for a while.", she gets up, she moves over to me and she says "Though I can't force you to go by it, I hope that you'll find a mate before doing such another engagement. I'll pray for your soul Adam, please refrain from it."

I nod as I think and I say "But, what if the mission requires it?" with a joking smirk.

Lalaine puts on flustered look, she gives me a sigh and she starts to leave.

I say "Wait, I was joking!"

Onboard a ship, a grey fox is redoing her make up, she's wearing a rather revealing purple dress with her eyes a wonderful gold and long white hair, a green ball of energy appears before her, it opens and it reveals Vaslov.

The vixen says "What is it my son?" with a stoic face as she works a tube of red lipstick.

Vaslov says "I have yet to hear back from the crew I hired, I'm heading to the location to take care of the situation myself."

The vixen says "If you haven't heard from them, then it's likely the artifact has been lost and the other side has it."

Vaslov sighs "So, how are we going to proceed?"

The vixen says "We need to switch gears, I am working with the spirits to assist me in locating the third part. In the meantime, head to the lands of the Doloreaux and assist the efforts there. I'm heading to the Avoirdupois to get a grasp of the situation there. It seems our necromancer there is being overzealous."

Vaslov says "Just be careful mom, the paladins are gathering and that human may show up. He seems to have a knack for getting into trouble."

The vixen says "I'll take that under advisement." with a sickly smile.
