Chapter Five: Anyone Else Hear... Bells?
#5 of The Kinotama Story: A Man, A Mage, A Legend.
Time passed, faces came and went, but one thing remained the same. Our hero, Dan Kinotama, his family, and his friends, all stayed by his side. Of course, there was one other person who stayed, one above all else who he would've done anything for, would've died for, who changed his life forever... His mate, Odiley Duncan. Their first encounter was an unexpected one, albeit an insanely pleasurable one, and those to follow did not fail to disappoint, either.
Each time they met, something new came up. They learned of each other, their weaknesses, their faults, what they loved and hated. Dan wasn't much a fan of beaches, and Odiley was a sucker for anyone who knew how to work with their hands... As if we haven't learned that lesson. Dan enjoyed the occasional game of dice with friends, again, something we've known for a while now, while Odiley preferred a quiet night of relaxation, spooning... And crazy-hot, kinky sex. How those two connected was anyone's guess at that point, but they did, somehow.
There were mutual interests between them, however. They both enjoyed a bit of hard rock and metal now and again, and would often breaking out into song while Odiley sat at the bar, watching Dan work until he was let off for the night. They also shared a few kinks in common, such as public displays and oral pleasure. One other thing was mutual, as well... The biggest thing of all, the one thing that would lead up to the day this very chapter tells of... Their seemingly unending love for each other.
From hugs and kisses at the bar to being discovered making hot, passionate love upon the fluff near the flowing statue outside of the bar. (Highly recommended if you were ever to visit the place. Just make sure you're extra attentive to your surroundings.) Their attraction was undeniable, and all of it culminated one cool autumn evening, three months after they met, right there at the bar.
They had just finished another round of passionate love-making in one of the many private rooms provided for customer use, using one of Dan's 'breaks' to spare the time to satisfy their primal urges. It wasn't long to go until he was let off of work, but as any young couple can tell you, waiting is not something they are fond of doing when it comes to such expressions of their attraction for one another. Dan had been considering this night for a couple of weeks, whispering and murmuring here and there, but only one other person really knew what would happen, and that was his newly adopted brother, Cerberos.
He confided in him much like he would any blood relative, and it was almost fool to try and separate them, they had become such good friends. He knew everything, from the one time Dan just couldn't quite get it going to the time that he couldn't get it to go down. Dan also knew of Cerb and his hermaphroditic lover, Adal, who he had also become close friends with. And yes, in case anyone was wondering, there were times he did regret being that close with the both of them, but come hell or high water, he was loyal as, well... A hound, which he was... Partially, anyway.
Dan collapsed down into a seat at the bar, not bothering to make his way behind it, as it would only be ten minutes before he had to evacuate it again, and it just didn't seem worth it. Odiley found it perfectly comfortable to straddle his lap, falling against him with her arms draped around his neck lazily. "I love you, Dan..." She murmured contently as she nuzzled her cheek into his chest, sighing.
With a rather sinister smirk, Dan nodded, leaning down to place a kiss upon her head. "I love you, too, Odiley... More than you could ever imagine..." He whispered to her, one of his hands reaching behind him to give two small, short taps on the bar. This caught Odiley's attention, her head perking up and looking around with a confused blink. "Getting a drink, babe?"
Dan shook his head, leaning over to grace her lips with a kiss from his own, deterring her attention with his tongue as Cerb slid a small, black box down the bar. He caught it, tucking it into his pocket swiftly as Odiley once again became curious of the situation. "You... You're planning something, aren't you... What are you doing?"
Chuckling, he raised his hands in feign surrender, letting his head hang. "Okay, okay, you caught me. I am planning a little something..." He admit cautiously, causing a sparkle of further curiosity and intrigue to rise in her eyes.
"Oh, tell me! Tell me!"
"I would rather not tell you, dear..."
"Oh, come on... Why not?"
"Because telling you would be rude, I would rather ask you."
"Ask me... What, Dan?" She tilted her head cutely to the side, the curiosity welling up to an almost uncontrollable urge to tackle him and coax it out of him by what ever means necessary. She looked up to Cerb, who was smiling and shaking his head, and to Shan, who looked like she could barely contain herself with joy. "What is it already!?"
Dan lifted her form off of his own, to which she stood up and stamped her foot down, seeming ruffled and upset. "Daniel Arthur Kinotama, you stand up and tell me what it is you're planning this instant!" She demanded, crossing her arms and looking down to him, just sitting there in the chair, hesitant to move.
Finally, he did, standing and looking down to her, shaking his head slowly from side to side. "No, Odiley, I won't stand up and tell you." He slowly began lowering himself down onto one knee, his head lowered as his hand secretly began slipping into his pocket. "I am going to kneel and ask you..."
The entire bar was silent, save for the occasional squeal from Shan, who was about ready to burst, or huff of amusement from Cerb. Odiley seemed to be getting more impatient, but less upset as she looked around, then down to him, who seemed to sullen and quiet. "What is it, Dan?" She paused a moment later, unable to breathe as she saw him pull out the small, black box.
The box was opened and offered up to her, a diamond ring sparkling brilliantly in the lights of the bar. "It is my proposition to you." He looked up to her, his eyes soft and sincere, his lips curled into a gentle smile as he straightened up and watcher her. "Odiley Duncan, I love you with all of my heart, mind, body, and soul... Will you be mine... Forever?"
The entire bar erupted, an unintelligible jumble of coos, cheers, and other various sounds of awe and congratulations. Odiley's eyes welled with tears, her hands flying up to cover her mouth, now agape with shock and wonder. As she processed the information, she slowly nodded, collapsing down to her knees and throwing her form against his, her arms tightly wrapped around his neck, where her face buried to let tears of joy soak his fur. "Yes... Yes, I will, of course I will!" She muttered through sobs of happiness, the bar only growing louder with applause and cheers.
No one seemed more excited than Shan, who was, literally, jumping with joy for them. Cerb joined in the applause, even standing, which prompted the rest to join in, as did Dan, lifting Odiley with him, and holding her form close to his own. When she finally regained herself enough to stand, Dan removed the ring from the box, took her hand, and easily slipped the ring onto her finger, luckily, a perfect fit. To them, everything about this moment was perfect as Odiley once again threw herself upon Dan, resuming her joyful sobs into his chest.
"I love you so much, Dan..." She whispered, to which Dan nodded and leaned down to her, placing a kiss upon her head. "I love you, too, Odiley..." He murmured, biting his lip to stop his own tears from welling over. "I love you, too..."
It was an instant celebration at the bar, drinks all around, on the house. Dan and Odiley, the notorious bar couple, were to be wed! Shan immediately rushed the couple, pulling them both into an embrace, followed not long after by Cerb, who shook Dan's hand with a chuckle. "I didn't think you'd actually have the balls to pull it off, brother!" He joked, giving him a nudge with an elbow, eliciting a laugh from the other.
"Hey, you, Odiley, and Adal know better than anyone else, I've got more than enough to go around!" The pair erupted in laughter, watching Shan and Odiley rejoice in their own way, Dan stopped a moment to watch his soon-to-be bride, and thought... Soon, she will be mine forever, we'll be married... Wait a minute... Holy shit... I'm getting married.
