The Gift
this is a story about a girl who loses her santiy the night her parents get brutally murdered and is freed from the torment fo her memories by the same person who can given them to her
She laid there cold and alone, lost in the thought of the event that had taken place. She recalled them as if it had only been yesterday, but the memories had haunted her for years. The blood on the walls that made her choke with fear and sob for her loss, she had wanted it to be a dream. She remembered the demon and his crimson eyes filled with rage and hate. He had slaughtered her parents, laughing manically as he did it the laughter still ringing in her ears. What she remembers the most what scared her more then anything else in the world was when he whispered in her ear.
"I did this for you now we can be together." He said and as the cops dragged him away he shouted at the top of his lungs "I"LL COME BACK FOR YOU ANNA YOU CANT HIDE FROM ME!" That's what had snapped her last bit of sanity, why she was now locked in a maximum security asylum. Every bang or loud noise every creak and drip of water she jumped thinking he had come back to get her. She was curled in around herself in the isolation room, they bound her wrist to keep her from attacking other out of pure fear. She didn't have to look to know the door had opened, she thought it was the nurse bring her medication.
"Hello my pet." the voice said and it was then fear seized her, as her body began to tremble and the scream froze in her throat she knew this was the end. She couldn't move even as his hands slid around her throat and squeezed with such intensity that she thought her neck would snap. When the alarm had sounded and the security team was rushing about trying to find this monster that was killing her she had already died from the lack of oxygen. The police had rushed into her room grabbing the demon and hauling him away, the doctor had declared her dead and the nurses had stared at her body. Upon her face was a smile her greatest fear had given her the most precious gift of all he had given her death. Her soul could be reunited with her loved ones and that is why she smiled even as the life was taken from her body she was finally free safe from that monster, and most of all she was going home.
