The sun was high in the sky. Morning dew on the leaves glistened in the sunlight as the sun lazily rose over the horizon signifying a new day. Yuukan lay in his bed his iPod blared to life blasting "Exile" by TheBlackParrot as his alarm. He tapped it off and sat up. Yawning he looked at the clock. 6 AM great.... It was the first day of school and he was NOT looking forward to it it, would be his second year in high school. He drug himself out of bed and walked to the bathroom. His fur was a dark jet black excluding the cobalt tips on his ears and tail along with his paw pads. He yawned and looked in the mirror, of course a terrible case of bed head. He grabbed a brush and began to brush his fur softening it against his body. Yuukan walked to his closet in the hall where scents of eggs and sausage came wafting up from downstairs. Well at least he had something to look forward to. After searching through his closet Yuukan decided to wear a Kingdom Hearts II shirt he'd made. It featured his favorite organization XIII member Marluxia. He was the graceful assassin and his weapon was a scythe. Yuukan slipped his shirt on and grabbed a pair of jeans. "Yuukan! Breakfast is ready!" Yuukan smiled as he heard his mom call him for breakfast. As soon as he was dressed Yuukan headed downstairs and saw a huge plate of eggs and sausage waiting for him still steaming from the skillet. He smiled, he always loved home cooked meals. Yuukan finished his plate in a matter of seconds. "Do you have everything you need?" His mom asked "I have all my school stuff it's in my book bag" he replied around a mouthful of eggs. After finishing his meal, he walked into his living room. The living room was a dark cherry color and had two leather couches against two of the walls, with a entertainment stand that boasted a 42' HD TV. Yuukan plopped onto the couch and grabbed his book bag. It was 6:49 AM, which meant he had to leave in like one minute. Yuukan stepped out the door shouting a good bye to his mom. He walked down the hill from his house and smiled the air was fresh around him and had summers sweet smell to it. A few furs were there already and he ignored them. They were the kind of people that always smoked and got into trouble, he didn't want to even talk to them, that and the cigarette smoke was gagging him. The bus came to a stop and he stepped on and took a seat near the middle of the bus. Yuukan out his head phones on and looked out the window, it was going to be a ok year he guessed. There was talk of new teachers and as well as a new student. They said he was really handsome and he was "cool". From what Yuukan heard his name was Katsu and he was actually great looking. He would have to find out himself, but he did feel himself get a little excited at the thought of meeting him. Soon the bus arrived at the school and Yuukan stepped out, the school was a pretty good school the school colors royal blue and white. People practically went crazy over sports here, Yuukan though thought it was stupid. He walked down the hall and into the cafeteria, where smells of some of the best school food met his nostrils. Yuukan sat at the usual table he sat at being early he was the only one of his friends there yet. He looked around and didn't see this new student people were talking about and felt a little disappointed, he really wanted to meet him. Yuukan felt a tap on his shoulder and looked to where it had come from, and standing there was a wolf, his fur was pure white and his eyes were golden, the shade of gold that reflected the light making them luminous. He was a bit taller than Yuukan but he looked his age, "Hey could you help me find the office?" He asked Yuukan nodded too stunned to speak and got up out seat. Yuukan walked into the hall Katsu following him. "So you're the new student right?" Yuukan asked Katsu nodded "Yup I just moved here from Texas" "Wow really all the way from Texas?" "Mmhmm my Dad got a new job here" Katsu looked at Yuukan's t-shirt "I see you like kingdom hearts." he said Yuukan nodded "Yup I beat all the games already." Katsu looked a bit skeptical "Name them in order that you beat." Yuukan smirked "kingdom hearts, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts re:Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days, Kingdom Hearts re:Coded, and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep." Katsu stared at him. "Damn I guess you did." They walked into the office and Katsu grabbed his schedule, got his locker number, and his computer account. Yuukan smiled and as they walked back out. "So what shows do you like?" Yuukan asked "I watch a lot of anime and family guy and shows like that." Katsu answered "Really what animes do you like?" "Black Butler, Kai ketsu zorori, Angel Beats, a lot" Katsu said with a smile Yuukan grinned his tail waging side to side "Well pretty much the same I do like a few that haven't been dubbed yet" "Oh so you watch them subbed?" "Mmhmm it's a little hard but it's good" Yuukan said The two carried on talking about their favorite animes, favorite music, and video games. They spent the whole time before first period talking, and Yuukan found he was looking forward to the school year. As first period came a lot of the new students came to take notice of Katsu, to be honest who wouldn't Yuukan thought, he was gorgeous. Yuukan could barely even get close at all with the people that swarmed around. Soon he hear them all laugh and saw the jocks and "popular" ones talking to him. "Great" he thought "another one" Yuukan sighed, and felt stupid for thinking someone like him could've been a close friend. A few minutes passed and the class started all throughout Yuukan couldn't concentrate. He looked over the Katsu who was still talking to the popular kids. After the period was up Yuukan walked out of the class room and Katsu ran up to him. "Hey sorry people wanted to talk I guess" Katsu said with a a nervous smile "It's fine" Yuukan said giggling a bit, he looked so cute with that little nervous grin. As the day went on Yuukan and Katsu talked a lot and being the first day it didn't matter at all. ******************************************** It was the end if the day and Yuukan was at his locker when Katsu walked up. "So wanna hang out tonight?" Katsu asked Yuukan smiled his tail wagging "Yes how bout my place?" "Sure let's go" They began to walk to Yuukan's house and Yuukan felt very very excited.
