This was my first poem a long time ago, seems so far away now that the feelings behind it have faded.

Eternal Beauty
I love you with all my heart, Even though we are so far apart, I long to feel the warmth of your skin, Because inside you lies my souls twin.
I want you more with each passing day, And with your love to Announce I am gay, Acceptance from others I will never need, My love for you they can never impede.
They say we hurt the things we love, like a curse sent from up above, This can't be true when I love you, Because I love you through and through.
It is said every rose has a thorn, Within its beauty lies this scorn, But you have no such thorn for me, Your beauty is overwhelming and sets me free.
Your words are like nectar sweet as they flow, They feed me daily and help me to grow, Without there sweet taste I would shrivel and die, Your too important for me to ever say... goodbye.
